Simple but good hotel

Good location , you can walk to main points (Vapporetto stop, Rialto, San Marco Square).

Room was OK, but no access to internet (I had to plan my day during breakfast time). Breakfast was OK considering it is a small hotel.

No elevator, you will have a hard time when arrive as it will be necessary to carry your luggage until the 3rd floor.

Nice Venice stay

Good experience, the staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was very good, they even made my husband fresh eggs when we came down. Like everything in Venice it is older and has a slightly damp musty smell, but that is just part of what makes Venice Venice. It is is within a 15 minute walk to most tourist sites and about a 20-25 minute walk from the train station, Although I wouldn’t recommend walking if you have luggage other than a backpack since there are so many stairs with all of the bridges. Also the hotel is on the second floor (in America we would call it the third floor) so this like really all of Venice is not great for those with mobility issues. it is an easy 5 minute walk to the water bus to get to the airport. Overall it was a good stay and er would stay here again.

Great little Hotel in ideal location!

Lovely clean room in a brilliant location!
Easy to get to from the airport, loads of food and drink within walking distance and the breakfast had a great selection as well. Only thing is the WiFi doesn’t reach the room, which was a slight inconvenience but altogether we were fine.

Our stay was nice. Our only complaint would be that breakfast was an issue both mornings. Not enough tables to accommodate guests, food ran out one morning, and wasn't ready until almost 9 the next. (breakfast was supposed to start at 8:30.) Tables were not cleaned from the day before. However room was great..pillows could be better and staff was friendly!

Apartment type bed and breakfast, clean...

Firstly, follow the directions provided by the hotel because Venice is a maze. Google Map should be your best friend while you're there. If you're coming from the train station, take the water bus to the closest stop and walk about 5 minute. I love where this hotel is located...there is tavern close by where you can take your drinks outside and enjoy on the bridge. The hotel is an apartment type bed and breakfast...on the third floor. No front desk after hours. It was clean. The staff was super friendly and provided some great tips for restaurants and sight seeing. Room/bathroom were tiny which is typical of the area and Italy on a whole. Bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned every day unlike some hotels I've been where they get it done in 30 seconds. Breakfast was standard. Wifi was a little spotty but once you go to the dinning area you get strong signal.

2 Nights at the Ca’ Riccio

My partner and I spent 2 nights at the Rachelle apartment in Ca’ Riccio. Check in is a little confusing because they have apartments and a BNB in different locations. We had to contact them before check in, and then call when we arrived at the apartment location so that someone could meet us and let us in. The apartment was very nice. On a quiet street in the Cannaregio district. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room on the second floor of the building. Two minute walk to the water with a few restaurants and vaporettos (water taxis) to Murano, Burano, the airport, and other locations. From there you can see the island of San Michelle. The apartment is bit out of the way, but in a great spot if you want to get away from crowds. About a 15-20 minute walk to most places including St. marc’s Square, the train station, shopping districts, the Jewish Ghetto. There is a supermarket nearby. We had a night flight out of Venice that evening. The staff were kind and let us leave our bags all day in one of the shared spaces. That was much appreciated!

Nice hotel in a nice area, it’s hard to find the hotel initially, and the water taxi dropped us off where we had to haul our luggage up and over three bridges.. then , just as advertised we had to climb 49 steps with our luggage.. in Europe the second floor is really equivalent to US third or fourth floor...not so good for middle age people.. but... the beds were wonderful. All of our group of 6 slept well there. Easy access to get to know Venice.. I would definitely tell my 30-50 year old kids to stay here.. just don’t haul lots of bags!

We read over and over again that buzzing in for check in was difficult but I thought after confirming on here and seeing that my message was immediately read that they would be ready to change. Great Location, Good Food and Friendly Staff

What a great place to stay. Staff are lovely and friendly, place is brightly decorated and clean and the room has air conditioning - which was a blessing.
Breakfast was delicious, with different items served each day. No 'fry-up' or traditional continental pastries, so maybe not ideal for a picky eater, but there was cereal, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, cake and continental meats, plus daily specials as well as good coffee, tea's and fresh juice. Whilst the selections might not be what you are used to, it was certainly enjoyable and as it was buffet style, you can fill up ready for a day of exploring.
Our room was a good size, with a well stocked fridge, plenty of fresh towels and a big comfy bed!
The only small downside is that the rooms are on the 3rd floor with no lift, however the location is great right near one the bridge crossings, thus making navigation around Venice simpler and just off the main drag, so nice and quiet.

SCAM, Booking is MISLEADING, LIES

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The booking did not indicate that we would not be living away at a distance from the hotel. The check-in was also at the hotel. So we had to walk a very long distance with the luggage and kids. I received an email two days before check in that we would be living at another location which is 1 minute walk from the hotel. However, the walk was over 10 minutes, it was extremely difficult with the kids and luggage. To add to the misery, the booking indicated there was an elevator/lift. Of course, there was none. There was breakfast included in the booking. But the woman (I believe Alice) put her foot down and insisted that breakfast was not included. We showed her the booking, but she excused herself saying she was only an employee. She was very rude and very unhelpful. The Place is a SCAM. PLEASE STAY AWAY from this place. The entire booking screams LIES. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

This is really unusual hotel as it is actually located on the top two floors of what appears to be a residential block, therefore you have to claim two flights of stairs to get to the reception area, however if you want a very good value, clean hotel in an excellent location, with attentive staff serving great breakfast then I would recommend this boutique style hotel

We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and really liked it. The location is great. This time there were a few issues with our stay. Firstly our mini fridge did not work the entire time we were there (3 nights). We like to buy a few colas to keep in our room but couldn't because the fridge didn't work. We complained and they said they would take care of it but never did. Also had problems with the TV and they could not fix that either - we finally figured out what was wrong. Lastly, they really need to buy new pillows. My pillow was so flat I would fold it in half and it would stay that way. Also they did not refill the toilet paper so we ran out in the middle of the night. We had to laugh because in the bathroom the tissue dispenser had only 3 tissues stuck out the top and it was never refilled in a 3 night stay (my husband and I both had colds!). We like the location but next visit to Venice we might be looking to stay somewhere else. They seem to be cutting too many corners.

Spacious, clean and comfortable Elena 3 bed apt

We enjoyed our time very much. Spacious 3 bedroom, 1 bath unit (Elena) with kitchen and AC that worked great. Wish there was a living area with couch because we could only hang out together in the kitchen or in someone's bedroom. About a 15 minute walk from Rialto Bridge and Piazza de San Marco so not too far but also away from the loud and crazy crowds. Only negative is that apartment managers need to communicate better the address for renters. We had no idea where the apt was located so had to have private water taxi driver call the number and get the general address of where to drop us off. Otherwise, everything was great.

The place is good if you don't need TV and Internet. The air conditioning is excellent. The Check-In process is painful and could be avoided and on top of this we need to wait for 3 hours to get into the apartment because it is being cleaned yet.

Looking for a budget stay in Venice Ca Riccio fits the bill.
On the top floor of the building there is two flights of stairs to climb to get to the rooms.
Nice breakfast to start the day and a short walk for all attractions.
Ideal for transfer by boat from Marco Polo as the Fortemonte Nova is the first stop and only 5 minutes walk to the apartments.
Watch in early summer as there is no air con switched on due to government rules so it can be very hot in the rooms.
Overall staff friendly but got a bit shirty when challenged on answers they give.
Free wifi does not reach rooms at the back of the apartments.

Overall we had a great break here.

Very Impressed with Ca' Riccio

Beautiful Venice, everyone must come here .. so as far as the hotel I have to say that for a three star hotel I was really impressed and would definitely recommend a stay here. It is a quirky hotel in that it is situated on the third floor of the building, Stairs are the only way to the entrance. You need to keep a close eye out for the entrance as it could be easily missed.
The owner gave as detailed instructions on how to get there by Water bus from Fondamenta Nouve which was pretty easy and there were no stairs 5min walk but we used the Water bus to Rialto Bridge 10min walk because it was easier from the parking in Trocheta where we left the car.
We had Rooms 4 and 5 and both were very very clean, with a good sized bathroom and decent aircon system. The Only minor negative was that you struggle to get Wi-Fi any ware but some open Wi-Fi around did the trick
Staff were friendly and helpful and the Breakfast was enjoyable and had everything that I needed.

Authentic pretty Venice hotel

A lovely hotel very close to main vaporetti stop very convenient. Great breakfast always included a gorgeous Italian sweet we had warm almond croissants, almond tart and a strawberry tart. Lots of other choices: eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurt, breads, fruits.

Very nice staff always very polite and spoke good English.

The room was very nice two of us stayed in a room with one king and one single bed. Very comfortable the room was spacious and included a bathroom with shower. The whole hotel had lots of great artwork hanging on the walls of the various scenic views of Venice.

Highly recommend this hotel.

Is it the language barrier ?
All the front office staff made you feel very unwelcome.
Problems would not be fixed, no internet in room, no hot water for the two night stay and all you got was let us know if you have a problem, yes No hot water.
Breakfast....you could cut the tension in the air and don't ask for the milk to be filled up.
Make sure you have data on your phone for maps to find hotel and there is only a very small sign.
Also only take small lite bags as no elevator.
Clean and tidy and good location.

We had a wonderful experience staying in the Elena apartment, Venice. It also saved us the cost of eating out as the apartment had a fully fitted kitchen.

The only drawback are one of the televisions and some lights are not working properly. Also both of the double beds were creaky.

Not great, but Venice was!

Not the best hotel to be honest but it is fine for a couple of nights in amazing Venice. Pretty good location and easy to find with the directions given which was good. The hotel itself was fine, quite hot overall and our aircon broke in our room which meant we found it really hard to sleep at night. When we reported the air con broken we knew there was not much they could do as obviously expensive to fix and happened unexpectedly. We hoped to be moved to another double room but i think the hotel was full - the language barrier became apparent here. The shower wasnt the best and at one point we were asked not to use the water... Breakfast was ok, some bread, ham, cheese and yoghurts. We probably wouldn't rave about this hotel but would recommend it if the aircon was fixed! The room was clean, the location was fine, all the other things are added bonuses.

Loved the 'Hood!

Loved the neighborhood! The Ca' Riccio was a beautiful place in a convenient area off the beaten path. Though it wasn't touristy at all, it was very close to the ferries, and there was a fabulous restaurant, bakery, and glassblower right there. We were disappointed that there was no wifi in the rooms but it was available in the common areas.

The hotel is tucked away in the back streets a very difficult to find. Once located, it was then apparent that it was not a traditional hotel but a aparthotel - with no receptionist to greet us and show us to our room.
Upon arrival we were not the only ones waiting, a number of guests were waiting to be checked in. We all tried to call the contact number that was given on our email confirmation, I managed to get through to person who was responsible to check us. She was extremely rude and abrupt and dismissed that fact that there are guests waiting out the hotel building to be checked in, her response was ‘I’m at a different apartment checking people in, it takes time’! The lady eventually turned up, after we waited outside in the baking heat (as there isn’t a lobby are in which you can wait)

She checked us in , but said how we hadn’t paid and must pay again! Eventually she realised having the confirmation meant that we had paid.

We requested the wi-fi, she gave us the wrong code. And then disappeared. I later called her and she said it was too late for her to assist me and that she doesn’t remember the code.

The room itself was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable.

If customer service doesn’t matter to you then stay here as the hotel itself is fine.

Affordable but Look Elsewhere

Ca'Riccio is a small \"hotel\" on the fourth floor of an old building in Venice. There's no lift, so be prepared to haul your luggage all the way up to the top floor. The air conditioner barely worked and provided little relief during a heat wave in Italy (it was above 95 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and not much cooler at night). The room was small, even by Italian standards, and it was difficult to move around comfortably. The door was incredibly hard to lock and required a great deal of force. We were handed a large and heavy set of physical keys, most of which were REQUIRED for entrance (one for the front door, one for an intermediate door on the fourth floor, and another for the room itself). The woman who sat at the very small information desk was kind and pleasant but was on Facebook all day and the loud dings from her messages could be heard inside the room, even late at night (10:30 PM). We were satisfied with the location, as it was off the main path but not too difficult to find if you can use a map. The sheets were clean but the comforter was old and had multiple stains on it. There were a few bugs in the room and the aging hardware inside the bathroom clearly needed to be replaced.

This company rents out various apartments. Ours was very nice and well located, close to Fondamente Nove, where you can take the waterbus to go to Murano, Burano and around Grand Canal. The beds were confortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The only thing I would've liked to have is a toaster. The personnel is also very nice.

Very clean, very friendly staff great breakfasts (the home made baking was outstanding). A 10- minute walk to the closest water bus station that takes you every were including Murano and the airport. The rooms are on the third floor and there are no elevators, any one with a walking disability would be challenged.

We lived in apartment Elena. The room was enough capacious for 6 people and clean. Kitchen was equipped with gas cooker and some utensils, unfortunatelly there was no electric kettle and we boiled water for tee in pot. Good located near Fondamente Nuove vaporetto station, quiet room on the second floor. The staff was kind and helpful. We recommend this apartment to company of friends or big family.

We really loved staying here. They gave great directions on how to get to the hotel from the water route line the hotel was a surprise to see how the interior was completely redesigned for the hotel. They did a lot with the space they had, breakfast in the morning was wonderful and very handy before leaving to explore. I loved it there!

Inn very basic, had a problem with the Television had no service for the four days stay and was assured that this would be sorted out but wasn't! No tea and coffee making facilities in room and had to get receptionist to make us a cup of tea on arrival, but was advised that if we wanted any further we would have to pay two euro's for them to boil water in a microwave!!!! Good area to stay, away from main tourist attractions.

Great location very close to the Rialto bridge.

Great location close to the Rialto bridge but outside of the heavy tourist traffic.
All of the staff are very cheerful and make your stay wonderful. Little things like when we checked in we were asked if we would like anything to eat or drink, we were very impressed. The room was very nice with a sitting area outside of the room.
The only downside was the internet, we could not get on, the staff indicated that service was inconsistent. But I still love this hotel and I hope to return.

Quiet location

The location was perfect for Murano and Burano day trip and for leaving to go to the airport. Room was small. Staff was amazing! Last night was helped so much by the staff! They really showed such hospitality and went out of their way to help us as we soon discovered that to get to early morning flight needed a water taxi. The staff made the experience for us. It was like staying with close friends that would help you out anyway they could. Amazing and rare. This experience and more made us love our Venetian neighbors! Thanks for the hospitality! Will remember you all fondly!

Noisy room and bad attitude

This was the worst accommodation of our Europe trip and also the most expensive.
Positives: fridge, good location, good breakfast and good directions to the B&B. Bed was pretty comfortable.
Negatives: noise, noise, noise. We asked for a quiet room and were given one right next to the echoey, noisy kitchen/communal area. Could also hear everything the upstairs guests were doing and the plumbing. The shower door was broken and did not close without a lot of effort. Ants in the bathroom. We asked someone in the kitchen if we could change the room. He said he was a family member but did not work there. We decided not to bother complaining until check-out because there were never any staff there at night. Wifi unreliable. This B&B even says they'll charge a mandatory cleaning fee of 20 Euros (isn't cleaning part of a hotel's job??). We weren't charged this though because we said we didn't want the room cleaned during our stay.

The location of the hotel was well suited to either walking or taking the Vaporetto. Staying in Venice allowed us to avoid some of the high traffic times for the attractions on our tour list. The one thing to remember is that the hotel is on the second floor and a walk in from the usual Venice entry points, so be prepared to schlep your own luggage.

Nice quiet Venice hotel

We loved this hotel! The service was great, the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable (as long as you watch out for the sloping rafters), and the breakfast was delicious! The only drawbacks are the many stairs to get up to the hotel (which are a real pain with big suitcases) and the fact that you have to take a vaporetto to get to the hotel and back, which is pretty expensive. But it was worth it to stay in such a quiet corner of the city and to have the great help from the staff at the hotel!

Quiet good sized apartment away from busy noisy touristy areas and close to water taxis to city center, airport taxi & waterfront dining. Apartment is away from hotel, so there is no hot breakfast unlike what is posted on Expedia. Also no elevator, but our apartment was only up one flight of stairs. Washing machine & groceries near by, but poor wifi and no cleaning.

The hotel is good once you find it.It would be great to have had some directions on how to get to it as Venice is very different to any other place when you are trying to find an address.you don't know where you are until you are standing in front of the door.the hotel has great breakfast and the rooms were more than adequate for us.We enjoyed our short three night stay at the hotel until we went through the check out process which is so manual it is unbelievable in this day and age.They have to write out a convoluted receipt for a 1 euro bottle of water.Why do they have to have a seperate charge to the room for a tourist tax is beyond me.And the time it takes to record this is bloody ridiculous.I would hate to be on a tight schedule for a flight because you would probably miss it.I felt sorry for the young receptionist having to put with my frustration at such an antiquated system in in this modern world.The hotel is not even in a position to take a cash payment unless you have the right amount.A bit disappointed at some of the charges for every day things that you have to pay in Venice and I would certainly warn any friends or relatives about the excessive pricing that goes on.

This is a converted apartment hotel. Not on the water. The room would be perfect for a couple. We were a family of four in their 'suite'. No place to put down our two suitcases and open them! Tiny little shower enclosure, but there was breakfast and coffee and the bus stop is just a three minute walk. The receptionist was very nice, very helpful.

Good value in venice for family of 4

The room was spacious enough for a queen bed, single and rollaway. Everything was clean and the ensuite was large and modern, especially for Venice. There were quite a few mosquitoes, so make sure that the mozzie zapper is plugged in. Pleasantly surprised that rooms and towels are freshened daily. Room includes a bar fridge.

Our quad room was an attic room on the top floor - the last flight of stairs is quite a narrow spiral staircase, so large suitcases would be difficult.

When you arrive, you will need to buzz reception and make your way to the 3rd floor when the door opens. Your room keys will include a key to the front door of the building and a key to the entry door of the hotel on the 2nd floor after hours.

OK if you are just looking for a place to crash

The location here is good as most of Venice is walkable anyway. The room was small but what I expected. Enough room for the bed and a couple of night tables. There was a safe in the room for valuables but it was not working. Bathroom is really small and the sink was tough to wash in, not to mention that the tap was very loose. I reported this to them so hopefully they fix it.

We had limited experience with the staff but they seemed nice enough. Overall a clean cheap place to crash for a night or two if you plan on spending most of your time out touring the city and just want it to sleep and clean up.

Stayed there 2 times. 5 minute walk from the blue line water bus at Fondamente Nove. lovely rooms, delightful staff, yummy breakfast. We had to leave early to catch a flight. The night before they brought us a continental breakfast, so we would still have breakfast. lots of stairs - just be prepared.

Poorly managed rooms and unprofessional!

We arrived from the train station via water taxi and a staff member met us and walked us up to the room. It was about 88 degrees inside and we asked where the Air conditioning was. It was broken, so we told them we could not sleep in so hot a room, so we were led outside and left in a dark alley for 15 minutes with 2 small children while she went to pick up other clients and take them to their room. We walked to a second room that was inside a bldg that was under construction, was dusty and had no internet connection. We were told that there was no breakfast even though it was clearly stated that it would be served. Around 7am the next morning, the workers arrive and start hammering and sawing in the apt below. This took place both mornings we were there. When we complained, we were told that they would take off our city taxes. All around this was extremely disappointing and overshadowed our stay in Venice.

Rude, indifferent staff; clean rooms

The staff had two modes: rude or indifferent. It is hard to find inhospitable, cold Italians, but one need only come to Ca' Riccio to find them. On a rare rainy day in Venice, I asked to borrow a hotel umbrella, and they refused. You need to buzz to enter the hotel, and one afternoon, when I buzzed and stated \"I am a guest, and my name is ___\", the woman said she had no guests by that name (!). I had to make an international call to my partner to come downstairs and open the front door for me. Humiliating.

A lovely hotel situated in a great location

I had a lovely trip with my parents in Venice. The hotel staff are lovely and always try to help out if you are wanting to enquire about places to eat nearby. The hotel is up stairs so it is important that you consider you booking here if you are more elderly (however both of my parents are over 60 and both were happy climbing steps - and venice is full of steps ). The breakfast was lovely and full of variety. I would definitely go to this hotel again. It was not far from St Mark's square and it was easy to get to from the airport. The staff even sent me a powerpoint before I arrived which gave me step by step directions (which included photos)! Overall it was a really enjoyable stay!

Very nice, cozy little place. Excellent location, very charming. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful, greeted us with cake and juice after a walk from the station in very hot weather. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Will definitely stay there again!

Our plumbing went out in our room the day before we arrived so they put us up in apartment that they own down the street so I can't comment on the rooms. But they were very apologetic and the apartment was good. Don't leave the windows open or u will get eaten alive by mosquitoes but I guess that is Venice... The breakfast was good... Not amazing but plenty of choices. It's a little difficult to find as it's not well marked and on a little side street... It looks like just a private door to an apartment, then inside it's just an entryway thats a little dungeon-y but go up to the third floor and that is the BnB. Overall I would stay again especially since the price was reasonable and it was in a quiet spot away from the hustle n bustle. BTW... There is an amazing restaurant really close by right on the water (Ocean side) with fantastic food (get the orgasmica pizza and lemon mussels) and is really cheap. Views are amazing there... Especially if there is a crazy thunder and lightening storm right over your head like we had. It was as good as a Midwest thunderstorm. Best dinner of our trip! Thanks for the recommendation Ca'Riccio!

It was hard to find this place but they say it is easy to get lost in Venice. Apple maps took us to a different spot, but Google found it. The room was small and a slanted roof created some head banging. But the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The location was close to st mark's and close to Rialto. For the price I would recommend.

Great service & location!

We stayed at Ca Ricco the first weekend of May. We had initially booked for one night but ended up staying an extra nice. The lady was absolutely lovely and was very helpful. The location was easy to find from the water taxi station and was easy walking distance to the Rialto. It was nice to stay here away from the busy touristy streets of Venice and we found lovely quiet water ways and great restaurants that we would not have found if we had stayed in the main areas. Would recommend this hotel and would certainly return.

close to rialto bridge in beautiful venice

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was quite hard to find, as it there were no direct sign specifying this, however being Venice, that is the case everywhere there. It was located on the second floor with stair access only which was a bit difficult with heavy luggage. 8min walk from Rialto Bridge ferry stop which we took the Alilaguna ferry from airport . Needed to buzz to get in. Hotel staff were nice and access in and out of the building was quite easy. Hotel was nice, well decorated with nice paintings. Room was clean and had a small bar fridge and safe. Bed was comfy and sheets were nice. Bathroom was ok, however the the shower curtain wasn't the best as it didnt close properly so it would so of stick to you as you showered. Only a minor issue though. Staff gave us a map of Venice detailing where the hotel was and where we were in relation to the common tourist areas. This is all we used to get around as room had wi-fi. Breakfast was freshly prepared each morning by the 2 staff working there. There was choice of cereal, coffees/teas, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, croissants and yoghurt and juice. There are a few restaurants nearby that were quite nice. . Overall a very nice stay

Quaint, comfy, clean hotel. Just a shame that there wasn't any staff there 24 hours a day, just when you would need them!!! Therefore no flexibility on breakfast time (early flight) due to staff not at work until 8am... Also not suitable for the very elderly or less abled due to (I think) 5 flights of stairs to climb...

We found this hotel easily with the directions the staff sent in advance, a short walk after catching the boat from the airport. 62 steps up to our room -ok for us, but perhaps a consideration for some. We found we could easiy walk around Venice and that the hotel was really well placed.

Great Stay for our Family Vacation

The hotel was a little difficult to find as we have never been to venice and you don't just have a cab (car) that can drop you off at your destination address. We did quite a bit of walking (exploring) to actually find the location. Luckily a nearby restaurant was familiar and pointed us right to it. However, it will be like that ANYWHERE you choose to stay in Venice. Everything about the hotel was wonderful and a great experience for our first night in Italy! Would stay there again.

This is a historical building so no elevator/lift, there are 7 flights of stairs so better if you are fit! The breakfast was lovely with fresh fruits cheeses etc. The staff was friendly , the location was great 15 minute walk to St.Marks square (if you don't get lost)

I really dont know how to say, it is just too great. Actually, location is not important at all for hotels in Venice. because for the main island, walking is only way, because the water bus runs along the main island, will not drive into the small water lane spread among the island. room itself is clean, beautiful with a small balcony. everything is good. however, it might be not very easy for travelers finding it without mobile navigation.

Ca'Riccio is a nice hotel found in an area that is quite central. The check in procedures were rather poor but the hotel provides all the bare essentials that are required. The room was quite small but we we hardly in the room so it was fine just to lay your head. I would not say it is value for money but it is also not bad. Just ok.

Great B&B in quiet part of Venice

A great place to stay in Venice. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. For those traveling with multiple suitcases, there isn't an elevator, but that shouldn't deter you from staying here. It was about a 15 minute walk to the train station and San Marco, but my family and I enjoyed how quiet the area was.

Fabulous hotel

My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay at Ca'Riccio. We chose the hotel because of its location, reviews from other visitors and price. I am pleased to say it surpassed our expectations. The location is superb; ten minutes walk to the Rialto and San Marco, close to water bus stop, short distance from airport and situated in a picturesque spot. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. Although reception is unmanned most of the time, we were greeted with a welcome drink and help with luggage when we arrived late evening and after checking out, we were given a key so that we could retrieve our luggage before catching a late evening flight home. The room was modern and clean, towels were changed every day and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was substantial with good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, croissants and cooked breakfast..Very good value!!
