Hotel Giorgione is located in a quiet area, yet very close to the busy alleys and just 10 minutes walk to San Mark Square. The hotel has large communal areas with sofas to relax and an interesting courtyard with a very big jacuzzi, that we were not able to enjoy as it opens around Easter time. The two gentlemen we met at reception (for check-in and check-out) were very pleasant, helpful and professional. A special thank you to Walter, the lovely barman, who makes the most magnificent Sgroppino in Venice!

We loved our stay. The staff were excellent- remembered our names and went above in offering advice. The hotel feels very Venetian! The room and bed itself were adequate, though we got the smallest and cheapest room available so that’s on us. The terrace was lovely and the breakfast was great!

I really didn’t like my stay. The rooms were too dark and lacked a welcoming atmosphere. Some of the staff were unfriendly, especially at breakfast. I poured two glasses of orange juice—one for my 7-year-old son and one for myself—and was harassed about it. Later, when I went to get a small plate of eggs, I felt uncomfortably watched as if I was taking too much food, which is not the case since I always eat small portions. Overall, the experience was extremely uncomfortable, and I would never stay here again.

There are many better options in Venice, especially considering how pricey this place is. I booked a suite, but the room was far from nice, and the shower was a complete disaster.

Wierd militant focus on not bringing or eating food or drink from outside in to the hotel - considering bar closes before midnight and no hotel food option, that was odd. 🤔
Other than that it was a nice place to get your head down. Outside space is nice, have to reserve a 90 minute slot for the pool/jacuzzi so we didn't bother.
Service staff were nice, especially girl working the bar at night who was very welcoming.

Great location in the bustling area of Cannaregio. We walked from the train station (20-25 mins) and it’s easy to walk into the most popular tourist areas (Rialto bridge - 5 mins, and St Mark’s square 10-15 mins). Great restaurants and bars neary, especially if you go a couple of streets further north away from the tourist traps.
The hotel is in a nice quiet spot but close to a lovely square with a church. The lobby is welcoming and there a magnificent Murano glass chandelier as you come in the main door. The staff are excellent. Our room (304) was adequate without being amazing. Probably worth booking a superior room. Breakfast was good and there is a jacuzzi pool in the courtyard which you can book for 30 mins. Would recommend and would stay again.

As we arrived and approached the front desk, hotel personnel read us hotel rules in a very militaristic manner: no food, no drinks, 30-minutes of pool time per day, and only if reserved, never keep your keys with you, leave them at the desk, etc, etc. They also try setting you up with their travel agent to explore Venice and surroundings. Even that came with various restrictions. So, my first impression of what looked like beautiful hotel, was of military camp. Continue with few more negative points. The walls between rooms are a joke. I could hear my neighbors talking on the phone till 2 am. I knew all their itinerary: what they have done and will do next day. I felt like they were in my room. We also could hear them going to bathroom. One had weak urine flow. When addressed issue with hotel, they told me that they are leaving and we will sleep better that night. If you are internet user, do not count on steady internet. Many times it didn’t work. When we were leaving to the airport, we got a pizza to go and brought the box back to hotel to collect our stored luggage. Hotel representative seeing us carrying pizza box did not want to let me into the hotel to get my luggage. Also, I witnessed how they ask people to leave the pool immediately after 30 minutes expire, even though there were almost nobody using the pool.
On a positive side, we liked hotel’s location, ambiance and its cleanliness. They offer good breakfast too!
Overall, I would give this hotel 3 stars, not 4.

Nice hotel but some weird policies and practices.

The hotel Giorgione was a good, affordable place to stay in Venice and I’d stay there again. That said, there were two things that people should know before they book.

1 - They have a very strict, and in my opinion ridiculous, policy that you can’t bring outside food or drink into the hotel at all. I’ve never before stayed in a hotel that wouldn’t let me bring in takeout food or leftovers from a restaurant, but that was the case, and they were very rigid about it. I don’t see how they can possibly tell guests what they can eat in their rooms, but they do. It’s very off putting, and people should know before they book.

2 - This hotel has a pool, and it’s very nice if a bit small, but the size isn’t the issue. The issue is that you are only allowed to use it for 30 minutes per day, if it isn’t already booked by someone else. I think that would be fine if that was advertised in advance, but it isn’t. If you’re booking this hotel to lounge by the pool, don’t.

Nice spot with a great location and a lovely pool. The hotel has some very specific rules about brining food from outside (you are not allowed), kids can only use the pool from 11-2 which with the current heat wave makes it a bit challenging if you want to cool off after your day in the city. I think had we know ahead it would have made it better but we made it work for our schedule.

I had accidentally booked my Hotel for the wrong month and was able to get this hotel. We were worried it wouldn’t be to our expectations but this Hotel was fantastic. The pool was perfect for soaking in after a long day. The location was very good. The staff were 5 star. We were in a large suite which was very spacious and most importantly the AC was perfect. (A must have for Venice in the summer)

Location was great, a 5 minute walk from the water taxi stop Ca' A' Doro (spelling???). Grocery, restaurant, cafe, drinks all close by! We had a problem with the AC and hairdryer, both issues were immediately rectified by the hotel, very grateful!

We were not informed that our accommodation had nothing to do with the hotel. The accommodation is totally separate and down the street. We booked this hotel as it has a hot tub/jacuzie which was closed. It’s advertised as open in April and this was a huge part of us booking it! The bed was so cheap and uncomfortable we ached all day. Very disappointed. The room was extremely noisy between 23:00-0230 because it is above a store room and below a very noisy room. No service available to the room and extremely small trash bin so trash built up. False advertisement for this accommodation as it has nothing to do with the hotel. Great location but overall very disappointing. It was basically a very cheap Air B&B and not the lovely hotel stay that we thought we had booked.

This was the best old world hotel I have stayed at! Just enough modern conveniences to make our stay utterly comfortable.

The staff was friendly and always helpful, any time (day or night).

Location was fantastic. Enough distance to be restful and close enough to everything to be very walkable.

They even provided breakfast snacks to go for our early morning flight!

Excellent Stay in the Heart of Venice

We recently enjoyed a two-night stay at Hotel Giorgione in Venice (March 18–20) and were very pleased with our experience. The price we paid was excellent value for money, especially given the hotel's central location, making it easy to explore the city.

The rooms, while a little small, were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, with daily servicing. They had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only minor downside was the view from our window, which faced a wall, but this didn't detract from our overall enjoyment.

The staff at check-in were fantastic—professional, welcoming, and very helpful. The breakfast selection was impressive, with options including bacon, eggs, pastries, cakes, cereal, and more. The self-service machines for juice, water, milk, and coffee were convenient, and the breakfast staff were outstanding—friendly, accommodating, and always happy to assist.

The building itself was beautiful and well-themed, adding to the Venetian charm. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Venice!

Room seemed a bit cramped for two people. I had stayed there many years before and it seems to not be aging too well. The breakfast buffet was substantial. They did provide two bottles of drinking water for two people for three nights and I had to pay for the third bottle which I really thought should have been provided considering the price of the room. It is very walkable to explore Venice , to get to the waterbus and to walk to St Mark's so location was fine. There were some very nice restaurants nearby and the hotel itself is quiet. It is five bridges from the train station and will cost you thirty to fifty euros to get you luggage carried there by a hand truck porter. DO NOT pay more than thirty it is 15 minutes about a mile but is five bridges if doing it yourself.

Excellent breakfast and ample bathroom. Italian bathrooms are usually shockingly small especially the showers but this had a full sized tub. Like many other non chain hotels in Italy, the mattress is very soft which may be a problem if you need more support. Everything kept impeccably clean with prompt room cleaning and laundry service.

I love this hotel! It's my second stay here. Giorgione is in and old palazzo and filled with Venetian glass, antiques and paintings.
The staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are each uniquely decorated.
It's our of the fray, which is nice and a little quieter, lots of great restaurants around and an easy walk to San Marco.

Walk back in time to one of the oldest hotels in Venice. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Make sure to ask them restaurant recommendations, because wow. The one they recommended was AMAZING. Our room was clean and stocked with amenities. The bed was comfy after a long flight. The pool was greatly appreciated after a long hot day- although it sucked you only got 30 minutes a day to use it (they are very strict) And the included breakfast was amazing. Tons of options!

The hotel is situated close to shopping and about 10 minutes from the Rialto bridge. We will definitely return to this hotel :)

We stayed at Hotel Giorgione for two nights in a classic room. The room and shower room were small but all we needed. The hotel was traditionally decorated and felt like we were in a historic building. Breakfast was good and eating outside was great. We didn’t use the pool but the whole area looked clean and well maintained. The hotel was located at the end of the main shopping area and within ten minutes of the Rialto bridge. The check in process took a long time although staff were pleasant. Bed was comfortable.

Tucked away in Venice you have a beautiful boutique hotel. Walkable from all the main attractions. A little tricky with a lot of luggage, but manageable. Pool time is 30 minute slots, which was fine for our mid-week stay. I would recommend to those traveling to Venice and definitely consider again when we return

Good, quiet location, yet closed to the main crowd in Venice. We had complaint about the poor house keeping and the bathroom amenities. In the first night the extra bed is only given a thin sheet as the blanket, until requested the next day for a proper blanket.
