Great location only fault was we were staying in a room on the fourth floor directly under the roof and found the room extremely warm even after we asked them to turn heating down. This was in February. Would stay again but would ask for a room on a lower floor.

Hotel L'Orologio is a beautifully maintained hotel in a perfect location (about 5-10 minute walk from Rialto and about a 20 minute walk from San Marco). The private water taxis will drop you off here for about 60-80 euros from San Lucia train station. The room came equipped with a sizeable amount of closet space, a very comfortable bed, and a luxury bathroom. Also, this hotel's front staff actually made me feel welcomed and helped with my questions/concerns (not common in other hotels in Italy in my experience). I would highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Venice!

Wow what a great hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, staff was great, and breakfast was fantastic. We had a room on the 4th (top) floor - it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Having an elevator was handy for arrival and departure with our bags. The location was very convenient - a short (3min or so) walk to the Rialto Mercator vaparetto stop on line 1 - easy to get to/from the train station. We picked this hotel because the one nearby that we usually stay at was not available and we have a new favorite now! Would definitely stay here next time.

Hotel located on the other side of San Marco, San Polo. To access San Marco use the Rialto Bridge that located 5 minutes away. There is no big flashing sign for the hotel but if you use their private transfer directly from the airport (€190/2) then you will be dropped off right in front of the lobby by water taxi; or you can use airport ferry cost €18/each way and walk 10-15 min to the hotel. Due to our platinum member status We received an upgraded room with a queen size bed, firm mattress & pillows, and a great view of the Grand Canal. Small fridge was available but it was inoperable as it failed to keep beverages cool as needed. Breakfast menu is constant, no changes exception of the vegetable dishes. Housekeeping is done daily! Hotel is few steps away from the historic fish market; however, the noise level is minimal.

If you've never been to Venice before you want to stay at this hotel. It's a little bit pricey but it is right in the middle of the Grand canal a 5-minute walk from the Rialto market and 10 minutes from the Rialto bridge. The staff goes out of their way to help you in any way and it is absolutely gorgeous inside.

From check-in to check-out, the concierge and staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The room was as pictured and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne. The breakfast was delicious and the bar had very tasty drinks.
The location was perfect to all the activities we had planned in the city and you could easily walk around and find everything on the map. We will definitely recommend this hotel and very happy with our stay. Thank you as this was our first trip to Venice!

Lovely property on the Grand Canal. 3 mins from Rialto Bridge, water bus stop nearby. 20 min walk to St Marks. We have been a few times to Venice when in other cities in Italy but I have to say staying overnight was great. You could be up and about before the day trippers started arriving and also the evenings were quieter. We had a lovely evening meal at Porta di Acqua about a 10 min walk from the hotel on the Grand Canal.

All the hotel staff were fantastic.

Breakfast was lovely

The room was adequate for a couple of nights, it is slightly dark in the bathroom when getting ready in the evening. The only negative was the separate toilet as it had no sink, you had to go to the bathroom at the other side of the room to wash your hands.

Overall a good stay and excellent service. Location turned out great, 5 minutes to the public water taxi/ferry service or 15-20 minute walk (maximum) to anywhere we wanted to go. I did have to carry our luggage up and down the steps of the Rialto bridge, the closest public ferry drop off, which sucked. You could order private boats though, probably quite expensive. That bridge also gave us easy walking access to Rialto area and San Marco. So I am glad we were close to it. If that is a concern, stay close to a ferry service dock and stay on the same side of the grand canal as the dock. AC could have been a bit better, might be an issue during July/August, room could have been a touch more modern, but it is as pictured.

While we were only in Venice a short time our stay was everything we needed. From check-in to checkout, we couldn’t fault anything. The staff were very accommodating and the buffet breakfast was such a lovely way to start the day. Such a great location and would definitely recommend.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in a deluxe canal room. Our room was on the first floor with a lovely view of the canal, however, could be a bit noisy at night given it was the first floor. Room size was reasonable, perhaps a little small for what we were expecting. Bathroom was good, though the shower was in the bath and it was quite a high step to get in. Room was very clean. Breakfast was okay. As for the hot food, it didn’t seem to be replenished so some of the food was cold and stodgy. Not a great deal of options for gluten free. Service at the hotel was good.

Highly recommend. We have the family suite that is next to the hotel and faces the canal (lots of stairs). Great location and staff. I would definitely stay there again. Water taxi from there to the airport was 150 euro. Definitely on the expensive side but was nice for the convenience.

The service was excellent from first arrival to departure. Comfortable, light. I booked a room overlooking the Canal and it was worth it. A great finish to the end of my Italian holiday! Commuting to and from airport super easy with both more expensive and cheaper options. Traghettos and Vaporetto only metres from hotel making it easy to get around Venice. Loved it! Highly recommend!

We arrived from the airport by water taxi right to the front door of the hotel as it is located on the Grand Canal in the San Polo district. Check-in was efficient and hotel staff took care of our luggage. They serve an excellent buffet style breakfast with a wide variety of food both hot and cold. Our room was very comfortable, very clean and well stocked with amenities in the bathroom. All of the hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions to points of interest as well as dinner reservations. A great hotel in a great location, highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful property, right there in grand canal which makes it walkable to all the interest places in Venezia. Convenient to arrive and depart since water taxis can pick you up front. The room was amazongtwith a view to the grand canal, very safe area with lots of dining options. Staff is wonderful, especially the guys at the bar, amazing service. Breakfast was also great!

We had a spacious room overlooking the grande canal on the top floor (4). The room was decorated beautifully, very clean, and plenty of storage with complimentary beverages. The bathroom is also quite large giving enough space to comfortably towel dry after a shower or prep for the evening.

The location is just a couple minutes walk from dining and tourist sites but far enough away that it is peaceful and quiet.

The staff is all extremely professional and kind. The staff is a 5 star experience.

If arriving in Venice by train, the hotel is a short walk from a vaporetti stop (ie water bus). Dont worry about figuring it out in advance. If you can use Google maps and have tap and pay on your phone - you're good. If arriving by air I'd 100% recommend a water taxi. It'll drop you right at the hotel doorstep and is a beautiful way to begin your Venice experience. For this you also don't need to arrange in advance. Just walk to the water taxi area in the airport and they will be waiting.

We enjoyed Venice very much, it exceeded our expectations, and we will be returning for another stay.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. It was a very short walk from the water bus stop, with shops, a market and restaurants nearby. I was given a room upgrade on arrival so i had a larger room than expected. I received the complimentary bottle of Prosecco included in the booking. Each day there was one litre of bottled water in the room. There was a wide choice available at breakfast. The hotel was very clean, i particularly liked the decor. All staff were welcoming and friendly. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was being woken by a ln irritating noise in the middle of the night on day 1, it sounded a bit like a washing machine, but it could have been the fridge in the room.

Loved all of the aesthetics of this hotel. Staff was hospitable and courteous. The location is excellent as well given it is within the same general area of the tourist attractions. However, I would recommend that maps be provided to every guest upon completing their registration. It can easily be added to the welcome packet present in each room. I was a little disturbed to know that the hotel only provides tours to Murano and Burano islands. Therefore, if you have other tours you are interested in it would be best for you to book them in advance of your trip.
All of in all we enjoyed our stay here and will book again in the future.

We stayed for two nights in rooms overlooking the grand canal. The hotel and rooms were really nice - modern and cleverly decorated. Checkin and out were great; friendly people, fast and easy. David from the lounge bar was exceptional with excellent energy.

One of the servers at breakfast was not particularly pleasant which kind of took away the morning excitement at the start of the day and we had her both mornings.
Other than that, the location was great and it was a great trip to Venice.

Lovely hotel in a great location

This hotel is in an ideal spot for a trip to Venice. The hotel itself is lovely and has a good breakfast offering each morning. Our room was really nice and enough space to settle in to each day. The staff are all very nice and helpful when you needed anything. They have a bar which have seats just outside the front of the hotel which allows you to watch the vaporetti go by. Location wise its within easy walking distance of the Rialto bridge and also of a ferry stop to and from the airport. Situated on the grand canal itself yet quiet enough to allow for a lovely nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Definitely a hotel I would recommend.
