The room was really clean. The hotel is a small boutique hotel but really beautiful and in an ideal location, 15 minutes away from the Rialto bridge. It was close to lots of nice bars and and restaurants.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were scrumptious with painted art all around. The beds are very comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The area is beautiful and quiet. The daily coffee and breakfast is much desired. Amazing property.

Spectacular room in an historic palazzo just steps from the main pedestrian street in Cannaregio. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful with arranging transport. Definitely a splurge for us, but one that was well worth it. Breakfast had multiple options (hot and cold, healthy and pastries). View over the canal was spectacular from the forward-facing rooms.

We had a great stay at Ca'Vendramin. Our room was spacious with comfortable bed. Front door staff was attentive and ready to help. The breakfast was perfectly suitable with what we thought were quality offerings of pastries, eggs, bacon, meats, yogurt and of course freshly prepared coffee drinks. The quiet canal in front of the hotel's entrance is charming. The history of this building as a palazzo adds to the charm. Easily walkable to San Marco square. Cannaregio area west of hotel was worth checking out too. Don't choose this property if you can't comfortably climb a good flight of stairs. Our shower stall had plastic doors, glass doors would have amped up the room experience even more but not a huge detractor.

One of the best hotel stays of my life. Very nice and attentive reception staff. Live and Valentina are the best. Sincere. Not fake. Breakfast ladies were the nicest ever in this business. Breakfast was really good. We stayed at junior suite with canal view and the room was like out of medieval age italian chateau. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. There were everything you could find at those old classy royal hotels. Even envelopes and papers with hotel insignia on it. The stairs towards our room was decorated with statues. The hotel is on the canal so we got to go back to train station with a water taxi. Fixed price, 70 euros. It is a great experience. Overall, really great experience.

The property is in a great location. Close to the action, but on a quieter street. I'd definitely stay there again for a return trip.

An amazing place to stay in a beautiful city!! Our very own palace! We loved, loved, loved our stay at this hotel!! We had a beautiful room with a balcony and view of the canal! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The local recommendation for dinner was fabulous They helped coordinate a trip to Murano to tour a glass blowing factory and also our taxi to the airport. The breakfast was an awesome perk. Wonderful options and cappuccino made with smiley faces. You won’t be disappointed by booking this place on your next trip to Venice!!

The room i was in was quite nice as was the facilities. I was questioned going in one night by the front desk (woman) and had to show my key to prove I was booked on the 1st floor. An employee also came into my room using a key in the middle of the day and then backed out without saying anything and did not respond to me calling. Both situations were unsettling.

Amazing visit! I was here for a romantic getaway and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They set up flowers and prosecco in my room and organized a romantic water taxi tour with dinner reservations. The room itself was amazing! Clean and beautiful. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Great boutique hotel, friendly knowledgeable staff. Clean, full of character and easy to get to (well, as good as it gets in Venice!) without being too close to the hustle bustle. This is a period property. Be aware there is no lift, but staff are happy to help with luggage. Breakfast was pleasant, but limited. Do read reviews of Venice in general to be aware of the ‘tourist traps’.

Fantastic Venetian hotel, just what we wanted with traditional ornate interiors, touches of gold in the furnishings. Trompe-l'œil around the door frames - it all felt very authentic. A canal is right outside the door, so we could have been in any other city.
Our room didn’t have a view of the canal, but of a court yard
We stayed in a junior suite which was very large and had padded fabric walls rather than wallpaper It all felt very special and luxurious , and had super large comfortable bed.
The complementary breakfast had everything we could want, continental, and egg and bacon.
There is a lovely restaurant just t over the bridge from the hotel.
The staff were so friendly and helpful- they really couldn’t have been any better- a special mention to Live and Alexandro who where on duty for most of our stay.
Alexandro was on duty when we asked about a trip to murrarno. He arranged a complementary water taxi for us and some other guests and a trip around one of the glass factories - well worth it.
Fabulous hotel and trip.
Worth a mention- the main way of getting around is by walking, bring comfortable shoes!!!

A fantastic historical building with amenities very close by.
Wow factor as soon as you enter and the staff are wonderful.
Alexander and Live are fantastic hosts and go out of their way to help.
The room was marbled with very high ceilings and we had a balcony view which was superb to look out of and take in the scenery.

Wonderful stay at Ca Vendramin! While the rooms are a tiny bit shabby (some lightbulbs not working, and upholstery is a tad worn), the location is excellent (in the cannareggio, quiet and a bit removed from tourist mayhem), yet quick and easy walk to/from train sta and alilaguna blue line stop Nove A. Comfortable beds. We were lucky with a balcony overlooking the water entrance off the canal and with a beautiful evening view. Wonderful, wonderful staff: genuinely friendly, curious, warm, and welcoming. Lovely breakfast options. Will absolutely stay again if I return to Venezia.

The property is fantastic in an excellent location made all the better by its staff. They have to be the most attentive staff I have come across from the moment we arrived until departure. It’s optional but they suggest you leave room key with them , why I ask ? So we can talk and get to know how your day was and your plans for the next day and so they can suggest ideas etc just so they get to know your names.. it’s the little things that matter. Oh and the breakfast is lovely too all the usual continental meats , cheese , breads , yoghurt fruit cereals , scrambled eggs and bacon ..
Venice itself is amazing I was blown away and Ca Vendramin Zago is probably set in the best place you could wish for with excellent restaurants, bars , cafes within minutes walk.
If I ever return , it’ll be back here , (assuming it’s available )

Amazing stay here for our honeymoon. Room was beautiful, probably the nicest place I’ve stayed in across Europe. Breakfast was really nice all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.

It was our 2nd time in Venice so we kind of knew our whereabouts. The location is perfect with plenty of restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walking distance. Rialto bridge just a short 13 minute walk and the main station Piazzale Roma is 15-20 minutes not bad whatsoever.

Would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice you will not be disappointed. Hopefully we can stay here again on any future visits.

A real gem in the heart of Venice but in a quiet area away from the noise and hordes of day trippers. Everything is in a fifteen minute walk. If you walk away from the centre, the area is very italian - the streets are full of locals - as are the bars and restaurants. We had a lovely very large room over the canal with a shower room and bathroom. Breakfast was a limited but very appetising buffet. Highly recommend

Host alexsandro was incredibly informative, welcoming and went above and beyond to help our stay. He made us feel like we were coming home, despite never visiting Venice before. He sat us down to explain the areas and recommended us routes for our itinerary: . Breakfast was faultless hosted by Michaela who was super friendly and kind throughout. The hotel is central yet peaceful in quiet off street. Absolutely fab and would recommend!

We had a good stay at the hotel, which provided everything we needed for our visit. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the lobby was beautifully designed. Breakfast was enjoyable as well.

While the room itself differed from the online photos and was smaller than anticipated, it was sufficient for our one-night stay and didn’t detract from our overall experience. A delightful touch was the thoughtful gesture by the staff, who arranged a heart of rose petals on our bed to celebrate our honeymoon—a truly lovely surprise.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, though I’d recommend opting for a larger room if staying for more than a night.

We had a wonderful break at this hotel. It is a beautiful 17th century palazzo turned into a hotel.In a quiet residential area with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.The building was just what I had imagined for our stay in Venice. Beautiful antique furnishings to match the building. Our room was lovely with a view of the canal and we enjoyed watching the water traffic from our balcony.The staff were really welcoming and helpful. Alessandro recommended a lovely restaurant on our first night there and made a reservation and asked the owner to look after us. He was also very helpful sorting things out as my suitcase had gone astray on the flight. Michaela was always smiling and helpful at breakfast. Breakfast was good - bacon and egg available as well as cereal and continental breakfast. The bread was delicious! When the air conditioning in our room was not working one day it was quickly sorted out and was working when we returned later in the day. We would definitely stay here again .

Grocery store, shops and restaurants close by. One negative is that it was cool overnight and they were unable to turn on heat due to local regulations but assisted with duvet covers on 2nd night.

Maybe the more expensive rooms are nice but if you are going budget friendly, don’t book unless you are truly only using the room to sleep. The room was so small I had to rearrange it to open my suitcase. The rooms are located on the ground floor across from the staff rooms and public restroom. You could hear everything up to the front desk. The walls were so thin, I could hear both sides of the conversation of the man in the room next to me. No sunlight from the window. Not sure how the AC works. However, if you don’t care about your space, it’s located in an amazing area. Out of the bustle just over the bridge.

From the moment we stepped in Ca’ Vendramin Zago, we knew we had arrived somewhere special. The atmosphere is quite elegance. It’s a place where history and hospitality, come together.

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, who immediately made us feel like we were in good hands. Giacomo kindly took care of our luggage, delivering it to our room.

One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Alessandro, whose passion for the building’s past was truly captivating. His knowledge of the palazzo’s rich history, (from its 17th-century origins to its ties with the noble Vendramin family) added depth and meaning to our experience.

The hotel itself is a gem. Beautifully preserved period architecture, decor, and a peaceful location create a perfect setting for exploring Venice or simply relaxing. Each morning, we came down to a delicious and complete breakfast where Michela and Raffaella warmly greeted us… and if you’re looking for a true Italian coffee experience, this is exactly the place to come.

Ca’ Vendramin Zago is a place to connect with the soul of Venice. We will always remember our time here with great fondness and gratitude.

The stay was excellent. The staff was very accommodating. They arranged our transportation to and from the airport as well as keyed us in on some great non tourist spots to relax and drink wine.
Breakfast was great and the lady that worked in the Breakfast area was super nice. We walked almost the whole island from here easily. There are alot of places very close to eat and drink as well.
They washed our cloths as well for a fee so we had fresh clothes for the next leg of our trip.

I checked in and the hotel staff assisted me with my luggage. Upon checking in Alexasso & the other gentleman was pleasant however this hotel does not have an active Bar/Lounge opened for Hotel guest. I was told the ONLY access I have was to my room. The hotel lacks any amenities. The courtyard was off limits for guess due to not being properly maintained. The upstairs sitting area I wasn’t allowed to have tea there was told I had a tea kettle in my room that didn’t initially work. Alexasso had to replace the tea kettle immediately after check in. The hotel stafff did offer to make reservations elsewhere at a different hotel. I stayed at this hotel mid May 2025, it was extremely cold I called the front desk asking if I could turn the heat on & they brought me a portable space heater. This was a bad experience. A 4 star hotel with no amenities for the guest. While the hotel staff was kind, the hotel itself was a terrible decision.

The staff at Ca' Vendramin Zago are very friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome.

Ca' Vendramin Zago traces its history to the 16th century. I stayed in a small suite with a balcony and a canal view. My room had a high ceiling with a fresco and a chandelier made from Murano glass. It is this sense of history that I enjoyed most about the room.

Overall the room was clean and functional, but it was not without a few downsides. The bathroom was tiny and there were a few small items that did not quite work (an inoperative motion sensor light, shower door that closed only with difficulty, a hallway door that scraped on the floor).

I found the hotel location to be quite convenient. Less than 100m from a main thoroughfare, and perhaps a 6 minute walk from a vaporetto (water bus) dock.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ca' Vendramin. The staff was attentive to our needs. The room was spacious, nice, and clean. The hotel was built in the 1600s and has such a rich history and beautiful architecture. It was an easy walk to many shops, as well as the Doges palace and the Basilica. The daily breakfast was a plus with many options to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Ce’Vandramin
Our room was upgraded which was a lovely surprise.
The hotel is beautiful and our view of the canels were lovely.
Just one thing that we found off putting, was at breakfast you ate at the far end of the reception room, it wasn’t a separate dining room, also we felt that the waitress as lovely as she was, watch our every move, made us feel uncomfortable and not a relax experience.
All in all tho it’s a nice hotel

Hotel is perfectly located, 10-15mins walk to all the places we wanted to go (town centre, train station, dense areas of restaurants). Highly recommend junior suite which is just the right size for 2. While breakfast was included in the rate it really was very very basic. Staff were friendly enough.

A delightful stay at this beautiful palace hotel. Alexandro greeted us upon check in and made sure we were comfortable. The room was roomy, clean, and bed was oh so cozy. Walkable to great neighboorhoods in Cannereggio. Thanks to all the wonderful people who work there that made our time so special.
