No taxi service-carry bags over bridge stairs

No water taxi picked us up or dopper us off at door so we had to carry our luggage up and down several bridges that are stairs, At 65 & 70 years old, this was challenging. They charged us $80 for this inconvenience to get to the train station. Should have taken the water bus.

Really fab location, just off grand canal and within a few streets of a main walkway through the area full of cafes, shops, restaurants and bars. The room we had was basic room and bathroom but that’s all we needed we were out all day. Lovely little outdoor area to sit and relax or read a book. Stella was very friendly and helpful. Would book again if ever back in Venice

A gem of a small hotel, clean and with friendly service. Keeping in mind that Venice is an ancient town with old infrastructure, we expected to carry luggage upstairs and traveled with backpacks instead. We arrived after hours and received door instructions plenty ahead of arrival time. No issues with locks, let in was a breeze. The room was basic vintage, with old fashioned window shutters, and overall very clean. A/C is central and was turned on during our second day. We used the sheer curtains as improvised mosquito screens and besides the bidet, we appreciated having breakfast (bought fruit and pastries nearby) in the lovely back garden. Staff is very welcoming, Nikola is a gem of a soul!

I’m so glad I chose this property. We loved everything and would stay here again. The location was great, right by a canal and close to shops and restaurants, walking distance to bus and vaporettos and to St Mark’s Square. The staff members we met were friendly and helpful. I’d love to go back!

Good Stay for the price at a busy time

All in all it was fine. I did have to self check in and out, and carry my bags up and down stairs but after traveling through Italy for two months, I’ve had to do that a few times. The room was very warm. They were kind to give me a fan but it would be great if hotels left the air conditioning on until November. It’s Italy, not Greenland, and October is still hot. The room was cleaned daily which was great. Sheets were not the softest and not the best mattress I ever slept on but ok considering the price, location, and the fact the marathon was going on and rooms were in demand.

Classic luxury room in a historic city.

The staff were very helpful during checkin. We had a problem with the temperature but didn't ask for help. Instead we were cooking with no control over the thermostat, and also a shower temperature between hot and just about scalding. When we opened the windows to cool down at night, it was a parade of noisy people coming back from the bar or mosquitos buzzing in our ears and leaving many souvenir bites. The hotel does have a beautiful indoor courtyard. The only change i would ask for in this hotel would be a thermostat that worked, or screens for the windows. Also, i would not book a stay on the canal side of the hotel again as we were frequently awoken by noisy boats or tourists.

Such a lovely property with a small canal view for some rooms, and the pretty garden for others. Walkable to most everything including the train station. Great restaurants nearby, water taxi stop very close. The two ladies who greet you and take care of all questions are wonderful! Very clean, well equipped, great lovation!!

We booked in for the Easter weekend! We were greeted upon arrival and given early access to our room to drop off our bags. Despite not being a canal side room, we had a beautiful garden view which didn’t bother me at all. The bedroom had a lovely vibe, very clean, spare / extra pillows for your liking and plenty of towels. The hotel itself was quite warm, so resorted in us opening windows during the night. The only down fall was the mosquito bites as a result of this, not the fault of the hotel! That being said, I would come back! It was just adorable.

Excellent B&B in convenient location

This was much better than we expected. The location is very convenient to walk from train station and even more convenient from airport water bus stop. Everything was clean and well take care of. The ladies making fresh breakfast every morning were super nice and accommodating and breakfast was better than a continental buffet most places offer. Check in was a little confusing, but that is my fault for not following the lock box instructions I was emailed in advance, it is actually a really nice system they have setup. I would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect getaway place

Very pleasant. Owner was very responsive in all my inquiries. I was surprised on how well they kept the place. Modern indoor facilities tucked inside the old Venice building. Stella, one of the attendants, was very helpful. Breakfast was great!

Casa Melograno was great value. Simple but spacious room & bathroom. Great location. I preferred walking but was able to see all quarters (sestiere) of Venice on foot: 10K to 20K steps daily. Breakfast was different each morning but great start to the day. I would stay there again

From the first moment to the last moment of our stay we were so welcomed.

Upon arrival we had a friendly greeting, we were offered coffee and water (it was 32C) and we had just carried all our cases through Venice to get there!

The staff took time to show us on a map some of the best places to eat and drink. How best to get to the land marks and you can tell they genuinely care about giving you the best stay. Just the welcome alone was enough to set up the first stay.

We arrived early but they were happy to keep our luggage and showed me our apartment and assured us it would be ready by check in time.

We booked to stay in the two-bedroom apartment and I can happily say it is amazing value for money. There are two spacious bedrooms, a small kitchen area (with all amenities needed), a dining area and a small balcony. Also a nice touch is both bedrooms had a canal view. It was spotless and the fact it had ice cool air conditioning really helped.

We maintained the apartment ourselves but staff were insistent on checking in and giving the apartment a clean which was so nice.

In regards to the bed, they are spacious and comfy. There is a wardrobe, chair and tv with plenty of space to get ready and relax.

I can honestly say for what we paid we were given value and a lot more. What is clear here is this is not just a business. The staff care and are conscious about you having a good stay. Their hospitality and care is clear to see.

Great hotel, 100% recommend.

Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. We were apprehensive that the hotel may not be the best given the price, however, it exceeded our expectations.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet area. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the staff were extremely friendly. The hotel had a great outdoor space to relax and the breakfast was good too. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Casa del Melograno was a great little stay for my son and I. Simone was very kind and helpful with our questions. The breakfast outside in the courtyard was splendid, we felt ready for our day after all the variety of treats: cappuccino, orange juice, croissant, eggs, and fruit. I will recommend this place to any friends/family visiting Venice.

The management (brothers) were very friendly & accomodating with helpful information. Shower was good better then alot of other higher star properties we’ve stayed at. Nice to have a garden to sit in. Only feedback is first night we arrived very late & was hard to find in the dark, however management did communicate via WhatsApp

Small quiet hotel next to Casino

A pleasant small hotel next to the main tourist way from the railway station to Rialto and close to a vaporetto stop.
15-20 minutes walk from piazzale Roma.
A small clean quiet room with the view into the courtyard.
It was cold to use the inner yard, but it looks pleasant.
I really like possibility to check in after the check-in hours.
it is a coffee machine and kettle in the small common area on the ground floor.
Absence of any wardrobe was a bit inconvenient, but it is ok for short staying

Great little find!

There is not a 24 hr reception desk. But Nicolo had messaged me earlier that he would be there when we arrived after hours. He gave us a number of dinner suggestions. He and his brother, Simon serve a fabulous breakfast each morning for 10 E each. The room was very large compared to European standards. Bed was very comfortable and the location is away from the crowds which was nice. We’d highly recommend!

The staff at Casa Del Melograno were so helpful and friendly. Truly it felt more like staying at a friend’s house than a hotel because they were so welcoming. It’s a very clean hotel and the courtyard in the back is wonderful! It is about a two minute walk to the San Marcuola vaporetto stop. There are automatic ticket machines so you can purchase your fare - it’s about $9.50 USD per person one way. We traveled to San Marco via the vaporetto. I highly recommend doing a walking tour. We went through Alilaguna ticket office at the Royal Gardens gate, San Marco stop. Our tour also included a gondola ride.

Best place to Stay in Venice

I have no words to express how happy we were to stay in Casa del Melograno. Excellent people excellent host fantastic garden to sit and enjoy drinks or tea. I would surely come back and stay. We got there room overlooking the canal it was just wow. The place is close to the station and also close to best restaurants.

Great hotel but front desk challenging.

Impossible to get a hold before arriving. There is no phone number at VRBO website. When emailed hotel, they were not helpful. Front desk didn’t set a first good impression at our arrival. Although it improved during the second day. Free breakfast consisting on bread, yogurt and fruit. Great size room and awesome location. Hotel it’s self was worth it but it was a bit stressful dealing with the reservation.

チェックアウト時間後の深夜着だったが、ホテルへの入り方を事前に連絡もらえたので、安心してホテルに向かうことができた。
ヴェネチアの奥まった路地にあるので、静かな環境。目の前の運河に早朝何艘か船が出入りする音が多少気になる程度。
中心地からは多少距離があるが、駅、空港アクセスが公共交通の駅から多少歩くかな程度なので、荷物があっても行動しやすいロケーション。

Sehr freundliche, kleine Unterkunft.
Es gibt einen wunderschönen Garten zu dem mein Zimmer (Giudecca) ein Fenster hatte.
Einrichtung einfach aber ausreichend. Mit Klimaanlage, kleinem Kühlschrank und TV.
Sehr freundliche Dame an der Rezeption.
Frühstück gibt es derzeit nicht aber viele Bars in der Nähe wo man bekommt was man braucht.
Auch ein wunderschöner Supermarkt ist in der Nähe.
Die Lage ist zentral aber sehr ruhig.
Wenn man keinen übertriebenen Luxus erwartet sicher eine tolle Unterkunft.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

It's a two-minute walk from the Vaporetto stop, which is so useful for going anywhere. The canal view room is nice, but it could be super noisy since it's literally on a narrow canal. During party season, you have to hear all the water taxis running all through the night and the water smells a bit. But I guess that's all part of Venice!
The place is simple and clean, but it is not a hotel, so don't expect anything fancy. My room didn't even have water bottles or a hot water heater, so you can't make coffee in your room. But they offer you a nice cup of espresso in the garden, which is really comforting. Overall, it's a nice place to stay!

Cozy B&B in the heart of Venice

Extraordinary little Bed and Breakfast i a very nice location in Venice. The room was very cozy with a nice view of the garden and large windows that you could open. The bathroom was very nice as well, and the room was cleaned every day.

The owner/manager was very helpful, and it was no problem for me to check in late at night with the convenient keybox on the side of the building.

I would definitely stay in this nice place with a fantastic location if I come to Venice again.

This hotel was so amazing! All of central Venice is really walking distance, so for my daughter and me it was most important that the hotel was in a quiet neighborhood and it was quite easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. And the staff was absolutely lovely! Simone was so helpful in all and any questions we had, and proactively shared directions and advice on best way to get places. The breakfast was wonderful! Everything was perfect!
