The apt felt very neglected. There was alot of mold in the bathroom so we tried to use it as minimally as possible. The sink in the bathroom was clogged so we had to use the sink in the kitchen to wash our hands and brush our teeth. We let the front desk staff know and they never came up to try and fix it. There were no paper towels or napkins in the kitchen, the refrigerator kept leaking water and the washer had a stench coming from it. Thank God we only stayed for one night.

Is hard to find accommodations in Venice.

The apt was nice, and it was great that it had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer.

Venice can be busy, but this apt was a bit in the outskirts, so it was a quiet and lovely area. Still close to main things in the city and good restaurants.

The extra pillows were so dirty and disgusting.

Needed a clean

The flat was really dirty, the dining room still had the last guests food on it. The floor, especially the kitchen had not been cleaned, and there was someones t-shirt in the washing machine.

The beds were quite rickety and we had one thin pillow each.

The location was really nice though, with some excellent restaurants to the north, away from the main tourist areas.

Although the person which we sent texts to was attentive, our AC in the living room did not work, the hot water in the shower was just cold- which after 2 ice cold showers, we called them late and they fixed it. They also brought us a fan since the living room AC did not work. We also asked if we can get a discount on the stay since we didn’t get what was advertised and they didn’t even get back to us.
The bathroom tiles and shower tiles had mold and mildew all over and we voiced our concern too but it didn’t matter.
It was really disappointing given the location seems to be close to everything. But the smell of mold and mildew was unhealthy.

We enjoyed being in the Old Ghetto quarter and it was characteristic, charming and convenient. The apartment stay was fine but it’s worth pointing out the staircase to access the apartment is narrow and steep and a challenge to carry up luggage. Access would not be suitable for anyone with a physical disability. The apartment was well equipped with kitchen facilities, an area to eat and two comfortable beds.

We were looking for an accommodation in Ghetto area, and this apartment was perfect, especially for a Jewish observant family. Three details should be noted:
1. It is not the original Rimon Place hotel, the hotel is under renovation, and several apartments near by serve as a temporary substitute
2. Don't rely on google maps, they give a wrong location when fed the address! This is common in Venice. Just go to the original Rimon Place and the apartment is on the same square
3. Our apartment was on the fourth floor w/o an elevator, take it into consideration

In general, the stay was perfect - the apartment really big, clean, comfortable and the host reponds quckly.

Our stay in Venice was an adventure from the start! The hotel is tucked away deep in the historic Jewish neighborhood, which makes it difficult to find at first. Thankfully, the locals were incredibly helpful—even though many didn’t know where the hotel was, they still helped us navigate to it.

The room itself is very small, and while the beds aren’t the most comfortable, they’re manageable for a short stay. Be prepared for Venice’s unique environment: since the city is on the water, opening the window invites a lot of mosquitoes. We learned quickly to keep it shut for a more peaceful night.

The main downside was the shower drain, which was painfully slow to empty. Standing in water while showering wasn’t ideal, but we managed. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet and charming, and there’s a fantastic restaurant just two minutes away. Once you get your bearings, the hotel’s location is much easier to navigate.

All in all, a quaint and convenient spot for those looking to immerse themselves in a less-touristy side of Venice—just come prepared for the quirks!

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. No way to get to hotel except by boat and then walking. Elevator stops on every floor going up or down so it takes a long time even to get to the 3rd floor. Blonde lady at reception was cold and unfriendly. Large room, but it was 12 degrees outside and no heating option. There was a strong moldy smell in the room. Shower was impossibly small and not well sealed so water got everywhere. Overall terrible stay unfortunately, so I cannot recommend.

While the hotel was conveniently located in a good location it was very basic, with very few amenities. The air conditioning had been turned off, meaning that you had to leave the windows open letting the mosquitoes in. The WiFi only worked sporadically and there was mold in the bathroom. I would not recommend this property.

Staying in the area the Ghetto was a great idea.

Staying here was lovely. We did have an issue at night with an electircal shortage of a light fixture. It was a bit scary, however nothing serious and it was repaired instantly in the morning. I do recommend this hotel for folks who would like to be out of the hustle and bustle and crowds - which we prefer. It was also close to the dock where we got the water bus back to the airport from our hotel - this was super convenient - recommend it.

The minimalist design of this hotel has not aged well, as the pure white walls of the room show every scratch, dent and booger. The room was furnished with what looked like $65 of Ikea furniture. The bed was in the beginnings of disrepair. The beds themselves were about as uncomfortable as mattresses come. They were thin and hard.

The refrigerator door was coming off its hindges and held on by the desk it sat under. The shower was tiny and showed signs of mold. It was clogged when we first arrived. The bathroom was also arranged so bizzarely, with an enormous sink that you had to squeeze past. The hair dryer would only work for 25 seconds at a time and appeared to be bought on Temu.

The room was so unpleasantly Spartan and bare and cold. It made me feel like we were sleeping in a hospital or an insane asylum. It's as if it resents being in Venice, the most beautiful city in the world.

The room we stayed in didn't have a carpet anywhere and the floor was always cold in the morning. The shutter for the window on the outside of the building was broken and the slightest breeze would swing it around, often slamming it into our window. The screen was in disrepair and let in mosquitos.

The breakfast was not included but cost €20 per person. There appeared to be nothing to eat but toast.

The ONLY nice thing I will say about this hotel is the location. Not to close or far from the train station and in a relatively quiet piazza with a delicious pizza place.

The property was a surprise as it was so modern though inside an older structure. The best part was that it was so close to the Rialto Bridge and everything else. We were 4 adults and had an extremely comfortable stay.
The only suprise was that there were no mirrors so we had to rely on a tiny little travel mirror to get dressed.
Overall- a fantastic place. Loved the support from the staff as well.

Firstly, the pictures on hotel.com were not accurate.

Secondly, the room was not clean. The bathroom was terrible; dirty, had flies, the shower was tiny and the shower walls were all detachable which means after having a shower water goes everywhere.

The air con was broken, had to get a fan.

They don’t make this clear when booking but the hotel staff leave at 8pm. This means if you return back late you can’t ask for any towels etc. You will have to wait until morning. The keys we were given didn’t open the doors from the outside so we were stuck outside close to 11pm. Luckily someone from the hotel was leaving and we got in.

It was only one night and served its purpose, but the place was somewhat creepy. Getting to it required a flight of long, steep, stairs. It was dark and cramped. I understand this is Venice and things here are old, but I felt a little weird here. There was no hot water. We had to take very cold showers. The location was what we were looking for as it was close to the train station.

Our stay there was fine for the most part. We booked two quadruple rooms for the seven of us (my family and two significant others). They are nice enough but limited. Initially asked for an upgrade as there was an apartment available. It wasn’t a free upgrade which I was ok with but was asked to pay upfront before seeing the apartment. Terrible idea on my part! Apartment was halfway furnished and felt like something from the 70s. Definitely not for us! I asked to be switched back to the Quadruple room the next day and they accommodated right away although I was not offered a refund of the extra that I paid. Again, the Quadruple rooms are just fine but limited.

This property was a great find! The hotel is in the Jewish Ghetto and is a Jewish hotel. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. It was refreshing to get back to the area after being in the crowds and heat of the main streets. The woman that prepared our breakfast was so very sweet and the breakfast option (included in our booking) were ample. The front desk personnel was helpful when we needed a water taxi when heading to St. Mark's and the check-in process itself was easy. I would recommend a porter from Santa Maria Novella as it is a bit of walk to the property. The room had a canal view from both sides as the room was positioned on the corner of the property. It was so lovely to look out and see the bridges and canal. We wanted to badly to eat at the restaurant in the hotel, but unfortunately it was reservation only on Friday night and because it was Shabbat, it was booked with no service for late reservations. The elevator worked well in the hotel (appreciated with the luggage we had) and on Shabbat, it is set to automatic so it runs a little slower, but still provides a great service. Air conditioning did not work well but was comfortable enough at bedtime to sleep. It helps to open the windows to get the breeze from the canal. We found it cooler with the windows open. The bathroom was clean with ample room (for Italy) with great lighting. The only complaint was the bed, which was nearly on the floor. Beware if you have difficulty \"getting down.\" Would stay here again!

We stayed in the superior apartment on the 4th floor. There are NO elevators so if you have big luggage or a stroller it will be quite a hike. Stairs are very narrow. Apartment was clean and roomy with a washer. No dryer or detergent.
Friendly staff and close to many restaurants. 20 minute walk to the tourist attractions and 17 minutes to the train station.

Adam at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable of the city and provided important information about transportation. The distance from train station to hotel was decent. If you’re going to be disabled in a wheelchair, Do not get the apartments because they have narrow stairs And many flights. A downgraded me to a room that’s supposed to be a triple for $26 more. I think the room was supposed to be for disabled But these were the issues of the room.

The location is very good. Just far enough from station that it's a little quieter yet close and walkable to many things. Short walks to station, the vaporetto, many sights. The hotel was nice - not fancy but certainly what I expected. The staff were very nice and helpful so that we could arrive late in the evening past when front desk was closed. I recommend.

Room: we were at 226 room, it is fantastic!! In a corner, it has an amazing view to the channels, at night it’s like to be inside a postcard sight! It was so comfortable, clean, the windows have screens avoiding the mosquitoes. The amenities are so nice.

Breakfast: Fabulous! First of all, the two ladies in charge the breakfast room are so welcoming, always with a smile and an attitude to please the hosts. The meal is delicious: the best fresh made scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cream cheese, several type of breads, fruits, juices. My favourite part: cucumber and tomate salad!! Simply but so tasty and fresh. Every kosher, every fresh. Really, the best breakfast ever.

Location: Campo di Ghetto Nuovo is a nice area, with Venetian neighbours, there is a police station kiosk in the square and it feels so safe no matter if come back to the hotel after you were galavanting late hours at night. 4-5 minutes walk from aquatic bus stations, I recommend to get a transport card, available for 24, 48 or 72 hours.

No hesitate to choose this hotel when you go to Venice, I would like to come back and stay with them again

The hotel is clean, the reception staff are helpful and friendly, and the room has everything you need for a few days in Venice. The shower is hot and has good water pressure. The bed is king size. It’s also away from the major tourist attractions so it’s less busy and noisy. Still easily walkable to anywhere you’d like to go. As it says in its name, it is a kosher hotel.

We lost power at 10pm, no light, no hot water. We reached out to the front desk but no one was there. We tried to call the front desk customer service but no one helped us. Power was back on at 10am in the next morning. Very disappointed at the customer service. We asked for refund or credit for 1 night, but all they said it’s sorry about that. They should have change our room last night when the power was lost, but nope, couldn’t reach them and they never call us back.

I enjoyed my stay at The Rimon Place-Kosher. The hotel room was impeccably clean, and its large windows offered captivating views of the charming Cannaregio areas and their picturesque canals.

The hotel’s strategic location, just a 3 to 4-minute walk from the ACTV Boat/Ferry station, made it incredibly convenient for exploring Venice.

We liked the property a lot. The location was perfect. It was about an 18 minute walk from the parking garage that we parked at and about 15 minutes from the train station.
There were lots of dining options and shops nearby and a bakery below. The only issue was no hot water for a shower in the morning and we had to jump over a pool of water inside the entrance door and the staircase was dark to get up to the apartment.

Worst short stay apartment

We were in the apartment for 2 nights. This is the worst short stay apartment we had ever experienced.

First, the cleanliness of the bathroom was terrible. It was full of dark mould at the edge of the bathroom and the sink. Some hair was sticking on the tiles and radiators.

Secondly, the boiler was not functioned for taking shower. It worked for the tap but not shower. The boiler showed errors whenever we started hot water at the shower!!!!

The kitchen equipment was bad too. They were all very old. No cereal bowls. The sink was still wet when we were in.

The whole apartment was full of staines and dust.

I don’t recommend for this apartment.

The staff were very helpful, kind and welcoming. The room was very clean as was the hotel itself. I think the bathroom was quite unique. The showers definitely need to be updated. Hard to clean yourself in a shower that barely gives you any elbow room. Didn’t wash my hair because of the awkward style and shape of the shower doors. The front door of the hotel gets stuck. One night the owner had to help us and another couple get outside.
We loved the location of this hotel. Just needs some updates.

Great place in the center of the Jewish Ghetto

This place is in a very old building, but everything inside is up to date and functional. The room was small, but we came to be outside in Venice, not in our room. The kosher breakast was a terrific start to the day. Most days we were able to skip lunch and make it til dinner. Highly recommended

Although accessing the hotel is a bit difficult, the hotel is spectacular with views of the amazing canals of Venice. Walking around was a lot of fun.

It was very convenient booking a room for 4 guests because we almost had to rooms dos the price of one. Since both rooms were divided. The only issue was the noisy from breakfast early in the morning. Other than that we enjoyed our time at this place.

Absolutely wonderful! I couldn't have found a better place to stay for my family of 5. The place is beautiful and historic. It is located in a beautiful square of an old Jewish ghetto. The people running it are friendly and kind. There is a fantastic night life happening in the canal/alley/street behind. Because the windows seem sound proof, my husband was not disturbed by the merriment outside that my daughters and i escaped to.

We would definitely stay here again. The hotel was very clean with large rooms. Very simple but truly comfortable. The staff was incredible!!! They did everything to make sure that a porter was outside the hotel quite early to help us with our luggage to get to the water taxi to take us to the airport. Well worth the 25 euros for us. Francesca and Giovanni were just lovely. We had quite a bit of luggage, not that easy to find, but I called them on what’s app and they again were very helpful.
When coming off the water bus in Guglie, make a very quick right hand turn look for a restaurant, called gam gam. Turn left into that alley then over the bridge. Two sets of stairs!!! The hotel is in that courtyard quite obscure, just look for a set of double green doors and you’re there. You shouldn’t hesitate to stay here for the price. Great location to everything!

Definitely a unique location with a very strong spiritual, sentimental and historical value. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
On the negative side, the rooms are somewhat under furnished and… breakfast quality/variety could be better, while preserving the kashrut.

Clean comfortable room with lovely view of the canal. Breakfast was well done and the service by hotel staff in general was friendly responsive and professional. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that they do not refund money under any circumstances, so make sure that you are certain that you want to stay there before booking

I enjoyed the central location of the Hotel. The prepared breakfasts were very well done. My room and bath were clean, comfortable and more than adequate.
My major concern was the absence of any hotel personnel from 8 PM until 8 AM every day. Any emergencies theoretically were to be handled by calling some remote individual by phone, but nobody was there physically. As a physician for over 50 years, I know how vital it is to have personnel actually present when things go wrong.
When they were present, the hotel representatives I dealt with were pleasant and very competent and helpful. It was their absence I was concerned with.

A very clean and well run hotel. Room was a little small in size, but comfortable bed, window opened looking over a channel, and bathroom was clean (although shower was tight-Im 6'3- so was ever other hotel I stayed at in Italy). Would be nice if there was a Kosher House sign outside, no real sign to indicate you were there. Funny story, we asked 2 policemen standing literally 20 feet from the entrance to the hotel, again no Kosher House Hotel sign, and they didn't know where it was. Buffet was also good. Overall nice experience.
