Everything was perfect from the staff at the desk to the comfort of the rooms, clean and well provided with sleepers and toiletry samples in the bathroom.
The breakfast buffet, extra charge, is huge and absolutely wonderful with everything you can desire, even gluten free bread, etc. it was our second stay but we will return.

Stayed 7-nights. A comfortable and relaxing stay in a wonderful hotel located in one of the best areas in Venice, Cannaregio. Staff, above all, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms were spotless; full marks to the house keeping staff. This is not our first stay here and won't be our last.

Tiny room. Had to go out to change my mind. One side of the bed was against the wall meaning one person had to crawl over the other to get out of bed.Many hazards in the room when going to the bathroom at night. Bathroom light located inside bathroom. 5 inch step to get into bathroom. Only 8 inches of clearance between headboard and luggage platform. You need to turn sideways to navigate past the furniture. Smaller than a NYC hotel room. Not what we expected even for a rack rate room. Don’t recall seeing this closet of a room in the photos. Would definitely NOT recommend for older travellers. Staff were terrific. Pleasant and helpful.

Great location, easy walk to the main attractions at St Marks Square. Friendly helpful staff. Nice room. Adjoining bar/restaurant is very pleasant with good food and there is a nice sitting area upstairs outside the room.

They will offer some tours--the sunset boat cruise is well worth it, however the \"free\" boat to Murano delivers you to a glass factory that has a great demo but then tries to sell you glass objects at 20X the cost at nearby shops.

Beautiful hotel right on the water. We also enjoyed the outdoor space with a bottle of Prosecco and snacks. The hotel is very quiet and the a/c was nice and cool. We enjoyed the neighborhood- not crowded compared to the Gran Canal. Great eating within minutes of the hotel. And a great bakery just over the bridge. My only complaint is that the shower door isn't sealed enough so water leaks onto the floor.

A stunning stay!

Easily my favorite hotel in Venice. It’s tucked away in Canareggio on a quiet street. My husband and I always love coming to stay here. It’s stunning and they treat you like royalty. The air conditioning is great, bed was super comfy, and they greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco.

This hotel is in arguably the best neighborhood in Venice, with amazing food, beautiful canals, and far less hustle and bustle of the tourist zones. The staff were absolutely incredible, even going so far as to pack us a breakfast for our 3:30 am departure from the hotel via water taxi. Would come back any time!

Bad recommendation for boat trip from hotel.

The hotel and service is fantastic, the only issue we were asked at check-in if we wanted a boat trip from hotel to see the main canals. It was the biggest waste of 90 euros. Boat was covered so couldn't see hardly anything no commentary to tell us where we were or any explanation.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff on a quiet canal. We loved everything about the hotel from the location, to the comfy beds, well appointed rooms, outstanding staff, and excellent breakfast.
I have visited Italy three times but first time in Venice. This was by far my best Italian hotel experience. The water taxi dropping off/picking up right outside canal was an added bonus. We will be back to Venice and the Hotel ai Mori d'Oriente.

Beautiful old property that is spotlessly clean with lovely staff. We really enjoyed being in a quiter part of the islands but so close to great bars, restaurants and an easy walk to everywhere. Would definitely return. Less than 5 mins walk from Madonna Dell Orto stop which is the closest to the airport water taxi, Alilaguna. Jusr 20.mins across the lagoon to/ from airporr.

They also offered luggage storage after we checked out of our room while we continued to explore the city until our train. Would def recommend.

This hotel was perfect for our week in Venice. Beds were comfy, the shower was wonderful; it is very quiet and clean; the staff is super helpful and friendly. They have a nice little bar for an aperitivo after a day of touring, and there a couple of small but nice restaurants not far down the way in either direction. Other restaurants are not too far away. Breakfast buffet is standard, but with lots of choices. The #1and 2 vaporetti are a 10 minute walk away with a couple (maybe 3?) bridges. There seems to be a water taxi stop in front of the hotel, too. Overall, a great experience.

BTW, their AC is quite reliable during the hot scorching days. I know this is really important specially traveling with small children. They also have a crib option for your baby/toddler.

We enjoyed this hotel’s beauty, location and comfortable accommodations.
The entire staff was also very professional and helpful. They helped us book tours and water taxi transportation also.
The breakfast at the hotel was also delightful and we enjoyed the courtyard setting.
We enjoyed many local restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance from the hotel. The shopping area was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
We highly recommend the Hotel ai More d’Oriente.

This was our first trip to Italy. The hotel is less than a 10 min walk from the water taxi (if you’re arriving from the airport). We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very sweet and willing to help with anything. It was a nice surprise to receive welcome and parting gifts. We were on the first floor and had a room with a canal view in the back. Overall it was a quiet area, and I don’t recall hearing anyone above us either. There were plenty of nice towels and the bed and bedding were really comfy. We had nothing but hot weather during our stay and the AC worked great!

I was very surprised by this hotel. It's very old world. Very. The hotel is decorated in the old oriental style (pointed arches, etc.), staff wears three-piece suits, you leave the keys at the desk when you go out- I expected old and dingy. But this hotel is beautiful. Despite the style, everything is new, clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable, with high end linens and air conditioning was great. The rooms were a comfortable size, breakfast was excellent, and served in a beautiful dining room. Water pressure in the shower was incredible, and staff was very helpful and eager to assist. Oh! And it's the only hotel we found in Italy with an ice machine on the hallway!

If I have anything negative to say, it's probably that it seems the hotel maybe takes a cut when they arrange transfers, because the numbers don't make sense. The hotel arranged a transfer for me and my family from the train station and charged €290 for the water taxi. Then arranged a transfer for us from the hotel to the much further airport, which required a water taxi AND a van ride, and they charged the same €290. They arranged a water taxi to St Marco, and charged us €100. But when we came back, the taxi guy only charged us €80. Who knows? I guess it's business, but it seemed like something was off- I didn't expect that. Maybe they don't.

Anyway, we otherwise very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and I highly recommend. Maybe just arrange your own transportation.

The only one thing negative was there were mosquitos in the room and I couldn’t tell how they kept getting in there. Just like three or so a day. We were gone most of the day and noticed them when we returned for the evening to sleep.

Dark, dated room with window view of a wall! Room was very dated. Bathroom was terrible. Fan didn't work. Plumbing from shower to tap running outside of wall. Room was cold. No aircon. Reception advised that they turned off heating for the season. Breakfast overpriced. I didn't opt for it as it was not good. TV channel selection in English limited to news.
