Incredible budget-friendly hotel that did not disappoint. The rooms were spacious and more importantly, very clean. The staff was attentive and courteous. Very close to major sites and very quiet on the property. I’d much rather stay here and save hundreds or thousands of euros than some of the bigger name brand places that don’t really provide extra value.

Our first time in Venice. We are at the end of a long trip and feeling a little worn. Venice is gorgeous, but the crowds can be overwhelming when you're tired. This lovely hotel offered the PERFECT space for both seeing the city and relaxing. It tucked away down a little alley away from the mayhem, but also just a quick 1 minute walk from many amazing food and drink options. Just a 5 minute walk from the train station. Just about 30 minute walk to St. Marks square etc. Very pleasant staff. Super clean room, which is probably the most important thing for us. Would definitely recommend to friends heading to Venice.

We arrived at Ca Pozzo on Friday at 14:00 and the woman at the desk was polite and helpful. My wife and I stayed in Queen bed (comfortable) and my 2 adult sons slept in bunk beds (little small but comfortable). Room was smallish, but clean and nice. Bathroom was nice and clean. We had breakfast there which was adequate with fresh squeezed OJ that was awesome. We left Sunday at 11:00 and checkout was a breeze

Flooded Venice in our Room.
I chose this hotel because of the wonderful reviews I had read. Unfortunately, our room had a problem with the drainage and the water flow so we couldn’t open the faucet or the shower for more than 6 seconds because smelly water would start to come out of a drainage in the floor and fill the bathroom. The smell was terrible and obviously taking a bath was a hassle. We had to take turns to let the other know to turn off the water so we wouldn’t end with the room flooded. The first night we were moved to another room while ours was fixed. But the other night we had to return to our original assigned room because the one they had given us was already booked. We had to pack all our stuff more than twice do to this situation. They told us everything had been fixed. Far from true. So, the second night it was almost impossible to use the bathroom at all. I wrote the hotel requesting a partial refund because this is definitely not what we paid for. My message has been ignored. So, if you choose this hotel just hope everything goes fine in your room because if not your stay will be a nightmare.

Lovely friendly hotel in Cannaregio, my favourite area of Venice. Plenty of very good restaurants (osteria and trattoria) 5 min walk. 8 min walk from the station. Stuff are really friendly and welcome. The room was super clean and spacious and the wi-fi very fast. Really good value for money compared to the expensive hotels in the area.

I was so impressed by the Ca' Pozzo inn. It's quite unsuspecting. You wouldn't know it was there if you didn't have a map. Super quiet. It's really conveniently located! The porteggo (alley) that leads to the entrance is shared with nearby businesses, including a fish market, so it smells fishy periodically, but not as bad as some reviews mentioned. When we come back to Venice we will definitely stay here again! Very clean. Spaces are small in Italy this room was just enough space for the 2 of us. Very close the train station and water bus drop off spot from the airport. The only thing you must keep in mind is that you are a 30 min walk from St. Marco square so if you have booked an excursion for the day allow yourself 45 mins to walk and get there.

It has a quite convenient location in the Cannaregio.The hotel suggested we hire a porter at the train station to cart our 5 pieces of luggage- big and small- as we were at the end of a four week trip. We paid him 40 euros plus a 5 euro tip to cart them upstairs to the room since there is no elevator in the building. At least that worked on the way to the hotel. On our last day we had to lug our suitcases down the slippery steps in the rain.
One of the staff made dinner reservations on Mother’s Day for us and also ordered roses for my husband to give me on my birthday. But there were other staff who didn’t know a lot of helpful tourist information like the water taxi schedule to the airport. We had to pull that information out of the young woman at night who, though very sweet, had very poor English.
The breakfast was 10 euro. They ran out of scrambled eggs, had no fresh pastry and just doughy white bread. Cappuccino good. Just ate there the first day.
No tissues in the room and there was an annoying strobe light that kept going off over the door. I dislike bedspreads that others have used and prefer clean top sheets with duvets. There were a couple of holes in the sheets we had. However the room was clean with no smell.

A Nice Hidden Hotel
The person at the front desk, John was very welcoming and gave us a lot of information where we can go and the use of Venice canal transport system. The hotel was nice and clean and situated close to everything we need i.e. the Venice Central Station, the water bus stop, eating, and shopping. The location is hidden from the crowd, so it was quiet. What is not quiet is that when someone check-in to the room adjacent to us we were bothered when people were talking and constant banging of doors when they go in or out of the room. Seems like the rooms were not designed to have proper sound proofing. The room would have been really nice except for the bulky, low bed frame that they use. It was bulky and have corners everywhere that its hard to move around the bed. I had my toes and shins hurt so many times, bumping to the bed frame. If not for the noisy neighbor and the bulky bed frame, I would have given this hotel a five star.

Beautiful hotel, clean, elegant, located at 10 minutes walk from Santa Lucia train station. The vaporetto station called GUGLIE is at 2 min walk. The small street that links the hotel with the main route is permanently lighted at night and has CCTV cameras so that is no problem of safety issues there. The hotel is very quiet as it is not facing the main street, has big rooms and it is decorated with taste. The room was spotless clean, the furniture was new with a huge comfortable bed. The towels and toiletries were daily changed. There is a kettle, a safe, a big mirror and a minibar in the room. The staff was very friendly, helpful and fluent in English. The area is safe and has a lot of cafes and restaurants near by as well as two DESPAR supermarkets. I will return there in my next trip to Venice.

Pretty good location. About 30 min walk from St. Marc's. Map your excursion start points then decide. Would have loved air conditioning and two pillows each. But room was clean and hotel secluded at the end of an alley. The alley did smell of fish. But that seemed very local. You can take the orange water taxi line from the airport. It's twice as long and twice as much cost, but no dragging bags over 2 big bridges. Or you can pay a porter to carry your bags over if you want. Overall, not a bad hotel.

The hotel is a bit further than i expected and you have to walk down an alley to get to it. And even though it is well lit at night it could be intimidating for some. The hotel has rooms on 2 floors and there is no elevator. Again, that could pose problems for some. The room itself was spacious and modern but there was no air conditioning because it was October. The front desk and room service people were attentive (except for the a/c issue). They do not include breakfast. There are many restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk and a pharmacy about 3 doors away which came in handy. To reach the water taxi you have to walk back to the train station.
If you travel with a number of heavy bags i recommend you hire a porter at the station and he will walk with you up to the hotel lobby.
I probably would stay there again if i could be on the 1st floor.

Ca Pozzo Inn was a great choice for our final night in Venice. My adult daughter and I found it very convenient (15min stroll) to bus depot for transfer to Airport. We had already had 2 nights, at the end of a tour, near Piazza San Marco, but it was great to explore another enchanting area.
The facilities were good, the room comfortable with everything we needed, appreciated the security of the property with lock up from 8pm and the management was welcoming and professional. Price was very reasonable.

Ca’ Pozzo Inn Stay
The Ca’ Pozzo Inn is situated in the Cannaregio section of Venice. From the Venice train station you can take the 4.2 or 5.2 line and it’s a five minute walk from the Gulie stop.
It’s hard to find if you don’t ask for directions.

The hotel was quite convenient and not hard to find. It was clean and pleasant. However, check-in time was very strict. We arrived at 1pm and they only allowed guests to check in at 2pm. We were told that €1 was needed to store luggages.

The square toilet was a little weird. Building was quiet. The alleyway to get there smelled of fish, but that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel itself is clean and in great condition. It was very convenient to the train station; just a 10 minute walk and one bridge. It was also convenient to Venice. A nice walk to the Rialto and San Marco areas. I am very glad I chose to stay here.

I emailed the staff a week before to ask them to make a reservation at a restaurant for us (the restaurant only accepted phone calls, not email reservations).
