What a gem, lovely little B&B the room was clean and adequate, the breakfast great with brilliant service, the owner could not be more helpful and enthusiastic about Venice, the only small downside is finding it, I used Google maps, and walked with the cases from the train station, we could’ve arrived by water taxi but I was tight and wanted to see the place, A must is a day or two by water bus pass to see the islands.

It was an absolute joy to stay at 3749 Ponte Chiodo Guest House. After a busy week travelling, it was just the right base for me. Central but quiet. Convenient and safe. Mattia and his team are very welcoming and unobtrusive. They make you feel straight away at home. The room is lovely, quiet, large, well lit and amazing views of the canal. I can't recommend enough.

Mattia is an excellent host and takes time with every guest to welcome them to the guest house, explain how to get around Venice, and give recommendations for restaurants. Amazing stay at Ponte Chiodo Guest House. Easy to find, just follow the instructions on the website. Slight problem with check-in as the buzzer wasn't working (it seemed that it was off, until someone from inside turned it on). We booked a room with two twin beds. Room was small but cozy. But quite hard to have two luggages inside. Despite these, our stay was excellent. Room is clean and comfy beds with antique furniture. Bathroom is clean and quaint. Breakfast is great! Amazing hosts, would definitely book with them again.

Perfect location if your dream of Venice is looking out over small canals and bridges without hordes of tourists. An absolute haven when you want to escape from the madness of St Mark's, but with plenty of wine bars and restaurants in the area. Best kept secret in Venice
A 5 star place in the centre of Venice. Very easy to find with minimal walking once you follow directions given by the hotel. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Adequate breakfast to set you off for a day of exploration and its set in a lovely little garden. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner that will help you find your way around even off the beaten track - and do follow his recomendations of restaurants where locals will go rather than the masses - you won't regret it in a place where every other restaurant is aimed for mass tourists that are usually willing to pay high prices for bad food.

Loved our time in Venice. Staff very helpful ideal location - plenty of places to eat out. Quieter part of Venice but easy to get anywhere. Wi-Fi a bit unreliable and double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together which my husband found uncomfortable. Fine for me!

Amazing spot in the heart and soul of Venice!
This was one of our favorite spots during our three week trip to Italy. It wasn't the fanciest or the most luxurious BUT it's secret weapon is the owner/ host - Mattia. He was so awesome and gave us the best advice on how to really see Venice. Venice can be a hard city to get really good food and to explore without all the hoards of tourists - which is a shame because it's truly a magical city. Mattia helped us out so much and because of that I really feel like we saw Venice. Also, he has a gentleman that runs breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts we had while in Italy. It was served in their gorgeous outdoor courtyard. Our room had a great view of a canal and we were just off the beaten path enough where we could still walk to everything but we felt separated from all the tourists. We had such an amazing time and will be back to Ponte Chiodo!

A very pleasant place to stay for 4 nights. There were about 8 rooms of different sizes. The owner, who spoke several languages, showed personal interest in all his guests making sure that their needs were met. He was very helpful with maps and suggestions of what and where to visit. The guest house was very welcoming, from the tropical outdoor garden where we could eat breakfast to the inside dining and kitchen area where we could make a coffee or tea at any time. My single room, although small, was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. The room overlooked the garden and was very quiet. The location was ideal, close to the vaporatta stop (Ca D'Oro) on the Grand Canal and close to the the boat stops to the islands (in the opposite direction). It was also easy to walk to main attractions such as St. Marc's Sq., Rialto Bridge/market and the train and bus stations, each within 25 min. or less. However with luggage it is easier to take the vaporettas. I would definitely return to this delightful place if travelling to Venice again.

Loved this place! Such a great price and off the normal beaten path. This place has an entry way garden, which is super rare in Venice. We had coffee and wine out in the garden. Room was comfy and overlooked a canal. Owner of the guesthouse was great with email communication and so helpful when we were leaving trying to find places to eat, how to use the water bus and a place to do laundry. I would stay here again and again! Breakfast was complementary and delish!

This hotel is a Gem. The location is great, the staff is amazing; Matia is amazingly nice and helpful, his recommendations were top notch.

What a wonderful find! The owner, Mattia is gracious and takes wonderful care of each guest. He helped me plan a wonderful itinerary for my time in Venice; I fell in love with the city and avoided most of the crowds in large part due to Mattia's advice. My single room was small but very comfortable with a great bed (larger than a typical single bed), air conditioning, and a view of the lovely walled garden where breakfast was also served each morning. I recommend Ponte Chiado very highly.

This is a lovely property in a beautiful city. The house is convenient to the boat bus and to all the sites of Venice. The host was wonderful and the facilities impeccably clean. My only issues were the stairs and the separate bathroom which was lovely, was very hot. I enjoyed my visit and would stay here again.

My sister and I visited Venice at the end of June 2017 and had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B. It is located on the canal in a great location and within walking distance of everything. The room was immaculate, very comfortable bed and premium linens. The breakfast is included and is wonderful!!! They served the most delicious cappuccino and pastries! Snacks are available to the guests throughout the day and night which is wonderful when returning in the evening after a day of walking and exploring.

We were greeted by the owner when we arrived and immediately recommended lots of places to eat and things to do in the surrounding areas. We were then taken to our room which had a beautiful view of the only bridge in venice left with no sides. The Breakfast was amazing and the service throughout was faultless.

Great location in the Cannaregio area of Venice, which is quite local to the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. Although this is in a quieter area of Venice it is still near enough to walk to all of tourist areas.
The Guest House is a 5 minute walk from the Fondamente Nove (F.te Nove) water bus stop, so makes a very easy transit from the Marco Polo Airport.
The accomodation is a typical Venetian Bed and Breakfast,with a lovely garden, to rest after a long walk around Venice.

Mattia is a nice owner, he gave details and completed directions how to get to the hotel . As you can get lost or goes in circles quickly . The breakfast was good . We had bedroom over looked the garden, but we were not in the room during the day . The room had two small beds and there is not much room left , it's too cozy , not much space to open luggages for two peoples. The bathroom is big but the shower is very small , not much room to move around in the shower, I am slim 145 .
