The beautiful Benicia style rooms, decorated with Moreno glass chandeliers were a highlight! I felt like a Princess in the room. I loved the complementary full breakfast, complete with cappuccino! The bathrooms were clean and showers hot. They staff are wonderful. They helped arrange for a water taxi and bag breakfast for or 6am flight. We loved it here.

Rooms are like staying in a palace! Right next to Water Bus stop (#1 line), so buy the day or multi-day pass to get around the city easily and see all parts of Venice and nearby islands with unlimited trips. Otherwise each water bus ride is expensive. Easy to get to hotel with luggage by water bus... water taxi not required. Also can hop on/off and walk the narrow streets.

We enrolled for a \"superior\" room. However, it was on the 5th floor, and the elevator only went to the 4th floor. We had two 45 lb bags and 2 carry-on bags, which we couldn't lift up the staircase to the 5th floor. The staircase was narrow and twisting, with no handrails. The toilet leaked, causing water on the bathroom floor, which I slid and fell on (I found the shut-off valve and we had to shut off the toilet after using it. The front desk gave us towels to wipe the floor, but made no effort to repair the leaky toilet); a chair leg was broken and lay beside the chair; the a/c didn't work; the room was only cleaned upon request. The only redeeming feature was that the front desk allowed me to use their phone to report a stolen wallet.

Good location, great view and spacious room. We specifically booked the suite- a peek into other rooms from the hall proved them to be much smaller. Brocade, velvet and a Murano chandelier. A bit run down around the edges- very Venetian.
Lacking in service. Snafu with a water taxi request, towels not replenished, dirty glassware not cleared from room. Terrible breakfast! Cappucino was from an automated machine and STILL was lousy! 24hr desk was not manned when we returned from dinner at 8pm- waited, rang the bell and finally went behind the desk to retrieve our key. Bar was supposed to be open but ‘bertender needed a day off’. Not a cheap place to stay! Definitely better value out there!

I felt like my room was in a palace, especially given the size of my bed. I loved that I ended up in a room with a partial view of the canal, windows I could open and enjoy the view and fresh air, the breakfast buffet, that the public ferry stop is right there, and how easy it was to walk everywhere I needed to get to (I only used the ferry to get to and from the train station). I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

We were in room 401. There was no air conditioning in the room. We asked two to three times for them to turn the air conditioning higher since they control it from the front desk. Nothing happens. It’s midnight at this point and the employee on staff gives us a fan and says “it says it is working on our end. I’ll put a note for the morning staff” next morning we ask the front desk ir there was any note about our air conditioning problem. There were no notes. It wasn’t worth complaining since we were checking out the next day.

The hotel is right at the Ca' D'Oro water bus stop. Our family of four (two teens) got two rooms. Both were fantastic with canal views.

Rooms were comfortable, with some small items in need of repair, but this didn't affect our stay.

We were able to walk just about everywhere and occasionally used waterbus.

Breakfast was excellent and would definitely recommend.

I would have rated the place higher, as it is extremely well located right by the vaporetto stop. However, we were stuck in a room more suitable for 1 person. With our 2 suitcases and hand luggage, there was barely any room for us to move in the room. Seriously, this should not have happened at all. There were other issues with the room too - electricals looked really old and DIY, safe didn't work, room smelt musty.
So we asked for a better room, and unfortunately nothing was available that day, but she agreed to move us next day.
The new roon was WAY better, twice as large and we were happy with the way the issue was handled.
Breakfast is good, staff friendly and helpful.
Overall, t he hotel is actually nice, could be more, E.g. The outside garden is very nice but it's not inviting to sit there, the cushions look like they need cleaning.

Overlooking the Grand Canal

This was my second time staying here. I chose the suite that overlooks the Grand Canal. I was not disappointed! The room is amazing! It is extremely large with a massive Venetian Chandelier hanging over the bed. The doors opened to a very tiny balcony on the grand canal. This hotel offers great breakfast and it located directly on a vaparetto stop. Its location is fantastic! I will forever stay at this hotel in Venice!

Disappointed with this hotel. This is a mixed review. I was excited upon arrival because they checked us in earlier than check in time which is unusual given the location…As we entered the room the first thing I wanted to see was the scenery… here began my worry… they gave us a room with a view of the garbage storage area. I paid for a premium room… then when we turned on the water in the bathroom pure dirt and black water came out for about 10 minutes. When we went to the front desk the young lady advised us that the hotel was closed for three days because they fixed a major plumbing issue. We never received notification of this when we booked nor upon our arrival. She made it seem as if it was nothing and that it would clear up. No offer to change our room, then caught an attitude because I explained to her that I did not feel comfortable using the water. We used bottled water to brush our teeth.

Next morning we decide to go downstairs and enjoy breakfast before starting our day. We wear our nice pajamas that look more like loungers and the waitress gave us the dirtiest look, asked for our room number and didn’t offer us coffee nor water as she was doing with others. Felt very unwelcomed. Next day she was the same despite having full attire. I guess she didn’t think we belonged.

The hotel is kind of nice the bed is comfy but overall the service is not good and the fact that they didn’t care about the water issue was upsetting and concerning…
