We absolutely loved Hotel Guerrato. Amazing location by the canal and local market. The included breakfast each morning was wonderful.
The only complaint would be that it was a little loud until around 12 am or so from the bars below, but we were so tired from exploring that it didnt matter too much.
Otherwise, we had a wonderful time here!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel during our three nights in Venice. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, close enough to easily reach all the main sights, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and relaxing.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, whether it was offering recommendations, answering questions, or simply greeting us with a smile each day. Their warm hospitality really made a difference.
Breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and the facilities throughout the hotel were excellent.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Venice.

Timeless charm, furnished Venetian style, historic interior, in the heart of the wonderful Rialto market area, famous fish market, lots of local cafes nearby, hotel hours 24/7 access, concierge hospitality, efficient service, great breakfast, spacious room, clean, everything you need basically.
Stairs throughout all floors. Comfortable seating area, outside the hotel rooms, good WiFi reception, enjoyed my stay here.
Right next to the regular boat stop, cross the Rialto bridge to get the water taxi alliguna though and it’s 18 euro one way, very good boat service .

We had an amazing family stay in Venice. We were traveling with two children, and after an 8-hour flight delay, we arrived at 2:00 AM. Despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us warmly and could not have been more accommodating, which meant so much after a long travel day.

When we left just two days later at 6:00 AM, the hotel again went above and beyond by preparing breakfast to go and kindly seeing us off. These thoughtful touches made traveling with kids so much easier.

The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family of four. The location is unbeatable — steps from the Rialto Bridge and right next to the water bus, making Venice easy and stress-free to navigate.

This was our favorite stay of our entire trip through Europe. The front desk staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could and highly recommend it to families visiting

The staff was very helpful when asked questions about the vaporetto stops and the best places to watch fireworks on New Year’s Eve. The staff even left a bottle of prosecco for us in our room to celebrate the new year. Our room was extremely clean and tidy.

There were no elevators or staff to help carry our really heavy luggage. We had to walk up 4 flights of stairs - 20 stairs per flight. It was a lot. Workers were very nice and friendly, it was clean and location was great - right near where the boat lets you out.

Awesome hotel, great location and really friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was great as well. The only downfall for us (which was easily solved night 2) was the noise outside in the square - from 7pm to 4am it was really loud with music and people screaming and hollering (drunk!) so the next morning we went out and got ear plugs which solved the problem for the second night and we slept really well. Would absolutely stay again, but will make sure to have ear plugs! Also, a tip - don’t pack a heavy suitcase as you’ll need to carry it up 3 flights of stairs!

The hotel and room is very nice. It is convenient to hop on the water bus. But, the areas around the hotel do get very dark at night as there are very limited street lamps. If I was by myself I would be afraid to stay out too late at night.

I would stay here again. I sense an organized team behind the scenes. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is prime. Staff is helpful, accommodating. Breakfast is good. The only thing I’d say is that the glasses often run out. Other than that, all was well! Thank you to the team that made our stay really nice.

Clean room, great location to walk to the main sites in Venice and there is a waterbus stop about a 2 minute walk from hotel, which was very useful. We stayed in the Attic room which was lovely and quiet - no lift available so be prepared to walk up 5 flights of stairs if you choose this room. Would recommend and return.

This hotel is nice and quiet, not on the main canal but very close to the vaporetto stop. When I booked all they had left was an attic room which was more than big enough and even had a pretty cool view from the windows. The big downside was walking up and down 5 flights of stairs to get to the attic room. If you’re more fit than I am this is a good value priced option in Venice. Good breakfast too

Pensione Guerrato's proximity to the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge makes it an ideal home base for excursions, but still in a neighborhood that is peaceful and quiet.
The Gelato place around the corner (Venchi) has the best Gelato I found in Italy (they coat the waffle cones with chocolate of your choice), and the capuccino at Guerrato itself was excellent.

We had to rise early one morning at 5:30 am, before their sumptuous breakfast was served, and the staff was invaluable both in securing a water taxi, and giving us coffee while we waited. Really, it was the perfect spot for our visit to Venice.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful for sightseeing suggestions/directions. It was a short 5 minute walk from the Rialto Mercato vaporetto water bus stop to the hotel. Sights were within a 15 minute walking radius. Rialto Bridge an easy 3 minute walk. Restaurant options are everywhere within a few steps from the hotel as well as the market for some fresh fruit. You can go to Ferrovia vaporetto stop to the train station to go to Verona and other cities.
A bit noisy in the square outside the hotel but had the windows closed and the bathroom fan on and it was fine. Beds and linens are comfy. Bodywash/shampoo provided. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Croissants were the best. We were so full we skipped lunch. Visited Murano too which we got to using the Vaporetto water bus. Stayed overnight and had a great 2 days in Venice. This hotel made our stay easy and happy.

No complains about the staff or room, but if you are coming from the airport or Railway station the water bus stop is on the other side of the Rialto bridge which means you will have to cross the bridge which has a huge amount of steps lugging your luggage which is extremely difficult. Then to get to the hotel there is another long set of stairs to climb with the luggage as its on the first floor. Then there is another flight of stairs to get to your room. It was extremely difficult for us.

Lugging the bags up and down and climbing the stairs after walking all over Venice was no fun. Front desk staff were friendly but did not offer to help with bags (no bell hop service). In addition old fashioned keys were a pain to open all doors.

This hotel was established in the 1200s. Its quite old obviously, the entrance is not what you'd expect from a hotel but for us it was perfect. It is a ways from the train station, however I later found out you can get to it by water taxi easily for 9.5 euros. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge. Our room was an upgraded room that was only 1 floor up from the reception, thank God. A very nice room with a king bed and a private bathroom. It was not inexpensive, but well worth it. Other rooms were 3 - 4 flights up and there is no elevator. So pack light!

When we arrived on the train we decided to walk instead of taking the water bus. It was about a 22 min walk having to carry luggage up and down various small bridges and through narrow streets. My daughter and I are in shape so it wasn’t too bad. The hotel was walkable to popular sites. We used gps to navigate. We were close to Rialto Bridge and also not far from St.Marks Square.
The room was spacious and the hotel was safe. Be careful in the shower. The shower head was pointed right at the shower door and my daughter got the floor soaking wet. I found a way to turn it do that didn’t happen again.
Breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy but that was fine with us. There were eggs, chewy bacon, cereal, breads, and a little fruit. Don’t expect a full American style breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

After walking from the train station with 2 50lb bags and finding no elevator or lift I thought this was a bad decision to book this hotel. But after getting settled I realized that it was a great decision. Staff are awesome and helpful rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi is easy to setup, lots of dining options within 5 minutes and the further you walk the more you have. Lots of shopping and gondola ride right there.

The front desk always has someone available. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. They put on a complimentary breakfast which was excellent. I felt like family while I was there. And I love the Pug (the owner's pet). Stay here, you won't regret it.

We stayed at Hotel Guerrato for three nights last month. Location is great - next to the Rialto market, with fresh fruit stalls right at the door. Walking distance to all main attractions. Breakfast was the best we got in Italy (we went through ten cities): full buffet, eggs, bacon, fruit salad, a la carte hot drinks, etc. Our quadruple room was massive and decorated in Venetian style. The extra beds were simply pullout chairs - but even then, more convenient than we got in other hotels. Definitely not cheap, but I had no regrets choosing this place: solid positive experience.
