The hotel was more like a Hostel. Considering how much I paid and we couldn’t even have a hot shower. The toilet didn’t flush. There was mold in the shower. The bed was two twin size beds and I paid for a single bed. My husband’s back hurts from sleeping in such an uncomfortable bed. It was terrible. I do not recommend.

The timw we were at the property, there was nobody at the reception, ever. Self check-in is not a good idea for an hotel. We had to go to an another hotel to get service around Venice. The bed really not confortable either

Worst customer service ever
This was the rudest hotel I have ever encountered in all of my travels. They tried charging my credit card a month early, when my bank questioned this I called the hotel to remedy within 24 hours. Even though I didn't understand why they would even need my card yet. Anyhow, the owner still cancelled my room which i didn't know until when I arrived, I got a different room than I booked (I booked 9 months in advance.) On top of that I was left a note( since no one works at the front desk) to leave the property for the day and when I come back I'll be in another room (still not the one I originally booked. ) Myself and hotels.com tried to remedy with the hotel, but they just hung up on us both. Luckily, I got into another, very kind and well run hotel during my stay in Venice.

We got there early before check in time there was this little girl teen at the reception very rude the front desk is very small and if you want to store your luggage you have to leave it there the check out time they told us was 10 am and they can only keep your luggage until 2 PM. The room was big and spacious but they only give you two flat pillows and the bed is hard. Do not stay here find another place for the price they don’t give you basic amenities we had breakfast included and they didn’t informe us. They have a code to come in since they don’t have the reception open all day and we were not informed

We thought it would be difficult to get to but it was not a problem. We took a bus from the airport and then a water bus. When we exited the water bus we walked down a tight street and crossed the main very busy with people street and we were there. The staff is wonderful. And the decor sends you back to reminiscent luxury.

Max and Ivan are amazing as hosts of this boutique hotel, which is a piece of art by itself. It's located in the center of Venice, right on one of the numerous canals. Breakfast was great as well, we highly recommend this hotel and will be looking forward to staying there next time we visit Venice.

Very good directions provided and we were greeted nicely from the brothers. Although check-in was 1pm, he allowed us to check-in just a bit early as we were exhausted from the flight. We had a canal room view for 4 nights and the experience was very good. Breakfast was timely, room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating.
The hotel is very close to a main street and shopping. Rooms are quiet. Enjoyed the stay very much. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful boutique hotel, good location near Rialto, breakfast in the room, warm in the room (in March). There is no lobby (there is no place to sit), there were problems with the drainage system (the water did not flow and immediately poured out from the shower, washbasin and toilet). The staff is not very friendly in solution of problems.

The room is small, dated but clean. It is stuffy inside the room as no ventilation. We went to Venice end of Nov (winter time) so is still fine to open the window at night for air circulation. I can’t imagine if it is during hot season. Staff is considering helpful.

Nice hotel somewhat hard to find as it is a door down a side street that is locked and you have to be buzzed in but they have 24 hr service to an extent. Bed was hard and shower was extremely small and I am only 5'6\", you couldn't get new towels at night as they only change them every 2 days and have no extra towels in the hotel until morning delivery so if you nee another your screwed. Safe is key locked but the owner said don't worry we are responsible. Location is good right off central shopping street and coffee shop, owners are very nice breakfast is room service as there is no area else to have breakfast as it is a small 2nd floor hotel probably closer to a B&B. so its a mixed bag. We enjoyed Venice and they were great with directions. Very pleasant owners.

Absolutely loved our stay at Locanda Ca’ Le Vele! Ivan and Massimiliano are great people who are doing a wonderful job running this hotel! It is conveniently located just a block away from Ca’ D Oro waterbus station, and about 15-20 minute walk from Realto Bridge and S. Marco square. The hotel is very clean, and serves delicious continental breakfast, with fresh bread and crispy croissants. The rooms are quite and super cozy, overlooking a small canal. The room was a little dark but that didn't bother us as we didn't spend much time in it during daylight hours. The location is just perfect. Close to everything that you'd want to see. Tucked away off of the main strip it's quiet and friendly. Overlooks a canal. Easy to get to shops and restaurants. The other direction through a neighborhood quickly gets you to the water bus to Murano. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is delivered to the room. When leaving for the airport we'd asked about water taxis. The owners called a friend and had us picked up a few feet from the hotel.

Traveled to Venice with my family of 5 and this place was the perfect place to stay. It's conveniently close to the water taxi stops and the airport water shuttle. The host's at the reception were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean with an amazing venetian style decor that is noticeable better in person than in the pictures. It's the perfect hub for your travel in Venice as everything you may want to see is within walking distance.There's a nearby supermarket and shops all around for any of your needs. Italian style breakfast is brought to your room in the morning and it was quite good! Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful hotel located on a canal in a quiet part of Venice. It was close to everything but off the beaten path. Our room was adorable with Venetian decor and spotlessly clean! We had free room service for breakfast which was delicious and so relaxing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We were there for two nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. It was magical!!

My husband and my two children (6&3) and I had a wonderful stay here. We booked a double room with a single bed, and it was small for us 4. But we managed. It was a very beautiful hotel, clean, great location, and attentive staff. Everything looked just as pictured, which was a delight. They offer a light breakfast in the mornings that they deliver to your room at a requested time. It was perfect for us when the kids wake up and instantly want to eat. I would stay here again. And I would recommend this hotel to others.

What a wonderful little hotel this is. Very easy to find, take the Vaporeto from the train station to Ca D'oro and its a five minute walk, the area it's in is very lively lots of bars and souvenir shops which are cheaper than the more touristy areas of Rialto and San Marco. Getting to these areas is very easy from the hotel though. We were greeted by Ivan, who was excellent throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for him or any of the staff. Room was spacious, extremely clean and very Venetian, with tapestry walls and antique furniture. The bed was huge and very comfortable. WiFi worked perfectly. Breakfast is of a good standard and served in your room which was very nice, you can specify time and what you would like. Venice hotels can be very expensive but we found the room cost very reasonable. A wonderful gem of a hotel, which we cannot recommend enough.

The location is very convenient, just 3 minutes walk from the water bus station. Just outside is main shopping street. The main entrance of the hotel is at the end of a narrow street. The reception is a very small area too. The quad room are big and airy, unexpected from the look of the entrance and the reception.

Locanda Ca' Le Vele provided everything I could possibly want in a hotel - it was located in a very attractive building on a quiet side street, the room was very clean, the décor was tasteful and up-to-date, and the staff was extremely welcoming and attentive to my needs. But besides all of these positive items, the best thing about the hotel was its location - in the Cannaregio district, far from the tourist throngs of San Marco. This acrea is actually a functioning residential neighborhood, so I felt that I had a genuine taste of Venice, rather than constantly being bombarded with tour groups, trinket shops and multi-lingual menus. The hotel is only short distance from the Grand Canal, right behind Ca' d'Oro, so it's very easy to pick up the vaporetto to travel to the central part of Venice. But Venice is such a wonderful walking city that I usually just went where I needed to go on foot. Also, unlike the more touristy areas, Cannaregio has a number of small, neighborhood restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel, and would love to stay there again when I return to Venice.

Prettiest hotel of any we stayed at in Italy! Close to the main street in Venice, and one block from the vaporetto (water taxi) for a short ride to St.Mark's Square. Excellent continental breakfast served in our room which was spacious by European standards. The hotel is down a quiet side street in a safe area, and the English speaking staff were as helpful as they could possibly be whenever we asked a question. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel was excellent all around! The room was cleaner and more spacious than we expected (and more classy). The staff were really friendly and a continental breakfast was served at the little table in our room. The only disappointment was that the coffee served with breakfast was a weak drip brew - undrinkable by most standards (especially Italian). We were there when the acqua alta happened, and the owner kept apologizing as if the natural diaster was their fault and the reason that we couldn't go tour the island. The location of the hotel is very good, right by a water bus station (Ca D'oro) which is only few stop away from piazzale roma, and ferrovia (the bus and train station respectively). It is also within walking distance to St. mark's square (well most place are in venice), we enjoyed all the little shops on the way. Many hotels are more inland or by s.m.s. but it is actually not very easily reached. The hotel price is fair for us, owner didn't even charge us using one bottle of water. The room is described as classic veniciant style, very neat design. Not super spacious but rooms on island i don't expect much. Free breakfast every morning brought to your room save hassels in morning, plus free wifi.
Overall a great place to stay to visit venice. Decent location, price, and friendly staff.

The hotel was even better then we expected. The room was tastefully decorated with the view to the Canal. It was clean and quiet. The hotel is close to every thing. It is just 10min of pleasant from St Marco square. The staff is very helpful. We arraived in Venice airport 10pm and didn't have any problem to find our hotel due to very good explanation from Ivan. I would stay there again and again and would recommended it for everyone. Thanks.

Beautiful hotel in very convenient location
We stayed three nights in October with our 11 year old daughter. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated with a view over a small canal from the two windows. The hotel was easy to find and to get to from the main vaporetto - only four stops from the station and two from the Rialto bridge. Once you get off the vaporetto it is a 1-2 minute walk to the hotel. There is a major street with shops and restaurants between the hotel and the vaporetto stop and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Rialto area (if you don't get lost!).
Only negatives about the hotel were that there were no tea or coffee making facilities (although a delicious free breakfast is provided) and the night and weekend staff are not so helpful and don't speak much English. The owners themselves are around during the day and are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. We also had trouble getting the (free) wifi in our room and had to sit near the door or out at reception to get it.
The best room is the one next to reception. It is very large and has a balcony looking over the canal. I didn't think it was really worth paying the extra for a hotel room with a canal view but no balcony as you have to stick you head out the window to see the canal which you don't tend to do very frequently.
