Loved the hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk to the water taxi stop. The water view was amazing. The only complain I have is that the walls are thin and can hear voices in the room next to us but they weren’t rowdy which was good. Overall I would stay at the hotel again.

Everything was alright except for the level above us is owned by private owners which means that they have no control over the noise from the home above; they were jumping and jumping the ceiling shook a lot and woke us up many times. It is not the hotels fault but just to bear this in mind, that the floor above are owned by private owners. The staff informed us the hotel was fully booked so we did not have a choice but to stay there for two nights. The hotel staff waived off our minibar charge, that was the only offer they could make to us. But other than this, very clean and well maintain room.

We had a wonderful stay at the Locanda Leon Bianca, just off the Grand Canal in Venice. Our vaporetto from the airport delivered us to a dock just a short walking distance away. The location was ideal... easily accessible to restaurants, shopping, and major sights. We were just north of the Rialto Bridge in the Cannaregio -- close to everything, but without the crowds. The facilities and staff were excellent and very accommodating.

The staff were so kind and helpful, even carrying our luggage, which was not light, up to our room. The room itself was gorgeous, and the view even more so. We could sit out on the little balcony in front of the Grand Canal and watch the local life and gondolas go by. You can even see the Rialto Bridge. We looked at many hotels before booking this one, and I’m beyond grateful we did. It’s just a short walk from the waterbus, and along the way there are many shops and most importantly, places to get gelato and cannolis. I’ll definitely be staying here if we visit Venice again.
*Helpful hints about Venice:
There are lots of stairs, so the city can be a bit tough to navigate if you use assistive devices. If you have a disability, I recommended booking a hotel near a waterbus station ON THE SIDE of that station as to avoid needing to cross a bridge. Pack in smaller suitcases if you can; this will make it much easier with stairs. There are ACTV ticket booths at the waterbus stations; you can purchase online ahead of time and enter your PNR code to print your tickets there or you can just purchase there. Pay attention to which direction your waterbus is going. It can be easy to make a mistake and go the opposite of what you intended.

Huge Room With Its Own Private Dock
Our Ground Level Apartment here was big, beautiful and clean with powerful air conditioning and its own private dock. The staff here was fantastic, communicating with us regularly before and during our stay. They had champagne waiting for us upon arrival, and booked multiple water-taxis, gondola rides and tours for us to/from the train station, the airport and the nearby islands of Murano and Burano. The daily breakfast was fantastic too. And on our departure day, the team packed-up a to-go breakfast for us, because our plane left very early in the morning, before breakfast. Can't say enough good things about this place! Just wonderful!!!

It wasn’t easy locating the hotel since there was some building renovation going on to the side of the gate and the alleyway leading to the hotel was narrow. But, as soon as we found it, it was like finding a piece of gem. The receptionist was very professional and helpful. The hotel was very clean with modern amenities and the free breakfast was good. I would like to stay here again next time I come back to Venice.

No view of Rialto bridge (despite what hotel website says), paper-thin walls so we heard our neighbours and everything at the front counter, mold in bathroom, view obstructed. Very disappointed. Not worth the money - didn't offer to make anything better. Said they couldn't control renos on adjacent building but the renos have been going on since 2013 and they haven't changed their claim of Rialto bridge view. Stay somewhere else!

At first we loved it... beautiful & elegant, amazing shower & comfortable beds. Unfortunately we were woken up by 7 am with extremely loud construction in the hotel. This is unacceptable, if you run a hotel and construction is going to be done while in business it should never start before 9am. People are on vacation for goodness sake.

Such an amazing hotel in a great part of the city! As soon as we booked this hotel on hotels.com, we received an email from the hotel directly, thanking us for booking, asking for our arrival time (as reception is generally only manned 8am to 8pm) and providing us with 2 documents: the first, a handy map and guide on how to find the hotel, and secondly a document with a range of activities we could enjoy in Venice during our stay! This was a great touch and made us feel very welcome before we had even left the UK!
On arrival our flight was delayed and we were now likely to arrive after 8pm, however Luca explained he would simply wait until we arrived!

What a perfect place to stay! We had such an amazing stay at the Locanda Leon Bianco. It is beautiful and the staff is the best. They are so sweet and helpful. It is hidden away. You will miss it the first time you try to find it. There is a little gate in a small little alley that leads you to it. There are many stairs to climb up when you get inside. So be aware of that! But they will help you. The rooms are very Italian and the bathrooms are so clean and pretty. It is right in the center of all the action and the view from the rooms is so cute and peaceful. Stay here if you want to have an easy time!

We arrived via Water Taxi and hence were able to access the hotel's private water landing. If we had tried to find via land, it may have been a difficult proposition. The hotel is tucked down a creepy looking alley and requires a key fob to open the gate or call up to reception. As we arrive via the secret water access point, we were able to find our way up 3 flights of stairs to reception. The front desk was perplexed how we were able to access the hotel as the gate should have been closed. We were a 3 room reservation and one of the rooms was upgraded to a larger room with a much larger bathroom and shower set up. The rooms

Staff is very friendly and helpful with information about the hotel and for the surrounding area in Venice. Our room had an amazing view of the Grand Canal almost directly across from Rialto Market. Very close to watertaxi stops and within easy walking distance of many of the top sites in Venice, wonderful restaurants and shopping. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, decor was as advertised. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
