A one-night stay for us, and it was fine for what we needed. Location is excellent and on the main island unlike most reasonably priced accommodation. It's a budget hotel, and by that I mean Venice version of a budget. The room was incredibly dated, parts of the bathroom looked like they were on their last legs. I was a very frustrated on arrival as I booked a triple room - one queen bed and one single - and our room was just one double bed for me and my brother. Fortunately it turned out they were two singles pushed together however they were made-up with bedding for a double bed so we had to improvise. There were no staff on the premises for me to raise this with and as we were only staying for one night we made do. Like I said, the location is great so if its a flying visit then I would happily stay again but certainly not for any longer period of time.

Great location, easy walk from station and vaporetto stop. Really liked the neighbourhood, some nice bars that didnt feel too touristy.

Stayed in a 4 bed family room with shared bathroom. The kids beds weren't the comfiest.

Communication before we arrived was good, check-in was awesome! We were able to get into our room at 11 o'clock!

Could have been more storage in the room, faster wifi and more coffee at breakfast. However this is Venice and i would definately return.

The property is in a very quiet part of town. The owner, Walter, is so very kind and accommodating. He will not be in the hotel, except for certain hours, however he is reachable by text (in the Expedia app) quickly and is very quick to resolve any concerns. He was so very accommodating to my gluten free needs for breakfast. The hotel itself is older and has thin walls. The restroom was not exactly clean as it has mold on the walls. I would recommend a cleaning service.

The one negative is that the bathroom had a sewer smell the entire time, probably be because there's a vent on the floor and we are on the first level. Kind of standard smells for Venice. There is a grocery store within about three minutes that was convenient to pick up snacks and other items. The manager was friendly.

We had an incovenience and we were not able to get the entry instructions to check in around 10 pm. We called the contact number and the person that responded was great, he gave us the instructions and we were able to get in. Location is close from the train station, very convenient. The only caviat was that the shower was kind of small but no big issue. I would stay there again.

There was no much information provided by host about the local area or attraction.

We were made feel very welcome and as we had to leave early for a flight, the owner packed us a takeaway breakfast. Wonderful touch. Close to SL train station which is excellent if you are doing many cities by train.

We stayed in a quadruple room with shared bathroom, there was only 3 of us and if there’d been 4 it would’ve been tight. Shared bathroom was just across the landing so easy to see if the other room was using it and we did have a sink in our room. Room was basic but comfortable and had a free safe to use. Check in was good, breakfast was simple but enough, we mentioned we were leaving early on our last day so breakfast was left in our room the day before which was nice. Location was great and easy to get to from both train and bus station. Would stay again but try and book a en suite room next time.

Deceived by the pictures we made a mistake to book this property that is not maintained at all, everything is old from building to furniture and upholstery. And than size of room and toilet is super tiny.owner even doesn't bother to clean marks of mosquitoes smashed on walls and roof by previous guests. Bedding is old and smelly. Wish people would review honestly and not just give undue stars.

Good location, close to the water bus stops and not far from the Grand Canal. Nearby are various cafes, bars, shops, stalls and even a laundrette which was very handy. Some of the rooms have a shared bathroom, the larger rooms don't. Bathroom felt a bit tight but had a shower and hair dryer which was useful.
Breakfast is simple but beautiful, a basket of croissants, toast, and bread served with butter, jams and hot drinks. The breakfast is served I. The small garden which is beautifully shaded and is open to use all day.
The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful.
There is a city tax to be paid to the hotel and having an extra bed in the room for a third person costs extra, this wasn't clear when we booked via a third party.
The bedrooms look a bit dated.

Everything was quite shabby but the sound isolation was decent and at least one of the beds was ok (mine half was unfortunately like an Etna slope and I kept rolling down). Btw, don't bother taking breakfast, it's a joke (and the coffee left such taste in my mouth that I wanted to clean it off with soap). AC was also ok but not great (loud).

Great place - great value. The location is utterly brilliant. Our room was clean and everything worked. Its fairly basic but comfy - the bed was big tho a little hard. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Its a bit noisy when people are talking downstairs in the hall but the windows are double glazed so no noise from the street. We only needed to put on the aircon once but it worked really well we needed. We had a great stay here and would def recommend. Given its cost compared to other hotels in the centre of Santa Croce its such good value. About 5-7 mins walk from the train station, 4 or 5 to the grand canal and vaporetto. Walking distance to all major attractions. Cafes and restaurants and a supermarket all nearby. Would def recommend

Don't expect a palazzo, don't expect a \"hard to choose from\" breakfast setting - take your own fresh tomato from nearby street-stand, slice of ham and cheese from any food shop and Casa Mimma's coffee, toast and croissant with jam will be a great start for your day.
Good value for money, clean and comfy. Good location (near to a great vaporetto stop taking you any direction you might need, quiet area). Friendly host always ready to help and advise if required.
Any do not use Google Maps in Venice! My recommendation is Maps.me - perfect navigation even if it seems like there is no street ahead - there might be an unexpected turn to the side :)

The entire process of arrival, check in, our stay, breakfast, check out was perfect. They we're happy to help with anything, easy going with check in time and allowed us to store our luggage after checking out. the location is great, near to the bus and train stations, quiet and authentic, but also close enough to everything you'd want to see in venice. the casa itself was gorgeous, clean and comfortable with everything we could have wanted and a lovely little garden.

The room was pretty big, so that was good.
However not sure I would recommend.
Towels smelled terrible and the little bathroom to share was small and uncomfortable.
The breakfast was our least favorite in the whole trip: stale croissant and lack of love in fresh ingredients...
Clearly the simplest and cheapest breakfast option possible.
They should improve their breakfast or not offer it.
Also wash the towels somewhere else! They smelled awful!

We enjoyed our 3 bight stay. Best to advise when checkimg in as reception not always open , man does breakfast then not around only for check in, we got there at 11 and could check in. Concealed door in little street, get key for outside and room. Location good for mearby restauramta, can walk to rialto bridge around 15 mins weaving through little streets and many bridges, a further 10mins to san marco. Man friendly. Breakfast ok but basic, crossaint each with jam and,french toast x2 each with tea/coffee. Nice little garden to sit in if want to. We had ensuite which was small but nice presure shower and room overlooked the property's private garden area. Bed comfortable, safe in room, room cleamed nicely each day. No tea makimg facilities but cafes nearby. Good for a short affordable stay in venice. Close to train and bus station where can get to and grom airpirt 8 euros . Worth a day trip to Verona too ! 😊

Very nice small Venitian Hotel with good sized room and a 10 minute walk to train/bus/waterbus stations.
We had a little difficulty finding the Hotel on our first day as it is tucked away, however following the property numbers (1412) once you get to the sat nav area will get you there.
Breakfast was croissant/toast and coffee/tea which was fine to start the day.

We had a short stay at Casa Mimma. It was a good stay , beds were comfortable even the additional twin bed in our family (3 bed room). The hardest was to find it when we arrived. I think a small map /directions should be sent to clients prior to arrival to help locate it. However, the reception concierge was very helpful when I called to say I could not find the address. He actually came to meet me where I was while it was pouring rain!! Since we left early he always offered to serve the continental breakfast earlier than the set time . The service and special attention were very appreciated! I recommend this place!

The hotel is a short distance from the station but is hard to find if you use google maps. The owner was welcoming but our room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke which made us feel ill. We were given the option of another room but decided to continue our stay in Venice at another hotel close by and it was the best decision we made.

We loved our stay here, the staff were friendly, polite and had excellent English. They could not have been more helpful, and allowed us to leave our luggage on the last day in advance of our late flight. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Glad we didn’t pay for a en-suite as that wasn’t necessary, the bathroom on the landing is spacious and clean with a good shower.

We enjoyed the location with easy walking from the train station. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable...nice to have a safe in the room. The keys for locking and unlocking the room were a little awkward to use and made a lot of noise in the echoey hallway...hard to be quiet when coming in late. I didn't see any egress other than the main doorway. Shower in the shared bathroom was very tiny.

The receptionist was very helpful and even met us by the Scalzi Bridge to guide us to the hotel. We were leaving early so he left us out some breakfast which was good.
The hotel is on a quiet street, over the grand canal from the train station so is great if arriving by train. The bus station is just a little further at plaza Roma so good for traveling to and from Marco Polo airport. The Rialto bridge and St Marks sq are signed all the way so it’s easy to get to the main tourist areas.
We traveled as 2 adults and 3 children and the room was a squash with a double bed and 3 single beds all pushed against each other. The shared shower room was cramped. The hotel room was fine for a night for all of us but any longer and we’d have gone crazy! Crazy August Venice prices for a squashed room but good location and helpful staff.

Uncomfortable, hard beds and pillows. Especially the small beds for the kids. Kids beds were small and barely any mattress...so hard I felt sorry for my kids having to sleep on those. Also we gave a try this time to share bathroom but will never again. Nothing beats the comfort of having your own bathroom in room. A positive is the cappuccino offered for breakfast. Breakfast is just toast w/ jelly and coffee. This place is way too pricey for the comfort. Will not stay here again.

We had a lovely stay - and it was nice to all be in one big family room. Our children are 11, 13 and 15 - so still happy to share! Shared bathroom with other guests wasn't a problem. Very clean, basic and very comfortable. Air con a treat! Simple breakfast of croissants and juice or coffee in lovely enclosed courtyard. Hotel manager spoke good English. It was easy to find and a 10 minute walk from main bus stop (from Venice airport). Everywhere was walkable and we enjoyed a water taxi ride down the Grand Canal. Overall super experience - we LOVED Venice!

2 night stay at this b&b, the direction from the website was great and made it easy to find. It’s located really centrally and with good amenities. As for the b&b itself the room was nice and clean, the breakfast was good and the host considerate and helpful

Small B and B, a little difficult to find down the back streets of Venice.

Friendly welcome from the owner even though we arrived after 10pm. The owner served breakfast each morning in the little courtyard at the back of the hotel surrounded by jasmin, the croisants were lovely. No variety on the breakfast, but there was enough to keep you going until late morning.

Room is fairly basic as you would expect for the price, but we had a room for 3 people with an ensuite bathroom with clean towels and an air-con unit which was a god send. The room was always clean.

The children enjoyed the free WiFi when we returned to the hotel for a rest each afternoon.

Would probably stay here again if in Venice.

Casa Mimma experience..

I forgot my usb stick in the tv. When I phoned back they said they don’t have it. Not ethical. Reaching to the hotel first time is an uphill task. They must provide directions to the hotel. From the station it is a 700 meters walk but without the directions one can easily be lost in Venice.

A modest, but comfortable room that is an easy walk from the train station. Check in was fast and easy. The room is very basic, but large and comfortable. There is only one bathroom shared between four other rooms. Breakfast is very minimal.

Comfortable accomodations, good location, but tricky to find. Breakfast is basic; limited to one small basket of bread and jam. Wifi was unreliable in the room.

The room was quite large but not all that comfortable. Could not sleep because of mosquitos and the wafer thin pillow. Room had an ant problem and felt itchy when sitting on the bed. I don't think the curtains or bed cover had been laundered for quite some time. Breakfast was basic just cold toast, cold coffee and a crossaint prepared at reception. Had to cut our holiday short because of an accident so lost a couple of nights payment. But then again it was cheap.

Easy walk from train station. Quiet, secluded, picturesque location, with a lovely interior courtyard garden for continental breakfast. Concierge is very helpful. Only criticisms are minor: the rooms are really sized for 2 people, but rollaway beds allowed our family of 4, although it was very crowded and we had to climb over each other. Finding a B&B room for 4 is hard in Venice, so this did the trick. Also, the breakfast was not much. Basic white toast, tea or watery coffee, butter and jam packets. Also, though, a truly excellent croissant stuffed with jam. Anyway, overall a 4 by our budget standards.
