Staff is amazing from reception to breakfast room, Matteo and Marta so welcoming and helpful, highly recommend a stay here! Take the vaporetto or ferry from airport to san biasio then a short walk is best way to get here.

We especially like the customer service of the front desk, Marta.

They offered us coffee and tea when we arrived as we waited for our rooms to be ready and they checked us in as soon as the rooms were ready. This was appreciated as we were exhausted after our long journey to get there.

We loved the quietness the property provided and the lovely courtyard. We were disappointed that the bar was closed but sat just outside the hotel at the restaurant for a glass of wine.

Great hotel, but room was very small. No stopper for the bathroom sink, so we were unable to wash out any clothes. Great, quiet, off the beaten path neighborhood. We loved going to the square in the evenings where all the locals gather & the children play.
Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Service in the hotel was excellent.

Great property location and the room was nice. Check in unluckily took over an hour because there was only 1 attendant and 2 people ahead of us, but she was very helpful and gave advice for what to do all around Venice. The room was boat themed because it didn't have any windows, but there were ceiling windows. Unfortunately the shades malfunctioned in the middle of the night and opened, making us wake up with the sunrise. The 2nd morning the shades stayed closed but there was very loud nonstop drilling going on nextdoor, starting at 8am.

From the moment we arrived we felt like treasured guests. Though our needs were not particularly great, we felt they would have moved heaven and earth for us.

Our room was extremely comfortable, and the shower terrific.

The breakfast was perfect. It was like Joseph II telling Mozart there were too many notes.

The hotel was in a quiet area, yet only 10-15 minutes walk to the Rialto bridge.

Beautiful hotel in a very quiet area with great restaurants nearby. It is a 20 minute walk to the realto bridge over several bridges so make sure you are ready for a hike if you want to go into the busy part of Venice. The railway station is close but you still need to walk over a couple of bridges (with steps) to get there. The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was tasty with lots of choices and the bed was very large and comfortable. The room was small but had high ceilings so didn’t seem it. There were great amenities in the room and you could ask for a kettle. The mini bar with soft drinks and water was included. A great stay.

Santa Croce Boutique Hotel a Venice gem!

Loved our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel a short walk from the central Venice train station. We were greeted with a smile, and a complimentary cappuccino upon our early arrival. Martina at the front desk and the hotel manager went out of their way to help us settle in. We were in room 203 featuring a nautical theme. Large, comfortable room made me feel like I was back on my brother’s cabin cruiser. The room was spotless, quiet and the free mini bar items were much appreciated. The breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious. The hotel is in a quiet area of Santa Croce, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Great value for the money, and I’ll be recommending this fabulous boutique to my friends and family. Molto Bene!

This was our first time in Italy and we started in Venice. Santa Croce not only had the most beautiful accommodations, their staff was incredible. We arrived late on our train and the gentleman arranged a dinner at a local restaurant and then walked us to our location, so we wouldn’t get lost. He recommended other amazing things to do on our trip and his food choices were even better. I highly recommend staying here. It is a slice of heaven in the most beautiful city. My husband and I will be coming back and not staying anywhere else! Also, incredibly quiet and amazing breakfast.

I really loved this hotel. Facility was in beautiful condition (unusual from my experience with about 5-6 Venice hotels) with well-appointed rooms with great beds and well-appointed bathrooms. Conveniently located: about a 7-10 minute walk from Santa Lucia train station and even less time to the nearest vaporetto stop while at the same time it was in a much quieter section of an otherwise noisy city. But by far the best part of the hotel was the amazing staff -- very welcoming, very helpful in offering suggestions for restaurants, etc. Would DEFINITELY stay there again!

Quiet location in a residential neighborhood

The hotel is in a nice location in the sense that the neighborhood is quieter and more residential than other parts of Venice. However, it's within 3-5 mins walk from a waterbus dock so it was still easy to get around. The hotel was decorated nicely, with a fruity scent throughout the lobby. The room was modern, with mini-fridge, big TV, and electric controls for different room lights. The bathroom had a \"rainfall\" shower head on the ceiling so it was nice and relaxing, although the water drained slowly on the ground, so there was a bit of water buildup in the shower area.

We loved our stay at the Santa Croce Hotel! It was an easy walk from the train station, but felt removed from all the hustle and bustle. Every single member of the staff that we encountered from the front desk to the bartender and staff at breakfast were so friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous and had great amenities and was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Venice, we will absolutely stay here again.

Wow, what a BEAUTIFUL hotel!!! Easily one of our favorite hotels that we’ve ever stayed at. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal, which was a bonus for us since Venice isn’t exactly easy to get around with luggage. We had a wonderful experience at Santa Croce boutique hotel and will definitely be coming back here whenever I am in Venice. The hotel is in a great location, it was easy to take a water taxi from the airport to the hotel with a 3 minute walk where the water taxi drops you off. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the train station. The hotel is very nice, feels like it’s more updated and cared for vs other parts of Venice. Just like the rest of the property our room was beautiful. It felt like we were staying in a high end authentic Venetian room. While the hotel is great, the staff are even better. Marco and Roberto were incredible. They were so nice and helped us with reservations, recommendations and overall gave great suggestions that made our short trip memorable.

Our room was beautiful. In the center of the room was a large Venetian glass chandelier. The hotel made all arrangements for transfer to and from the hotel and actually accompanied us to the water taxi and assisting with luggage. A delicious breakfast was served as part of our room rate. A chic, understated, quiet, small hotel within easy walking distance from the train station and near a vaporetto stop. The property is immaculate. Staff are courteous, warm, and helpful. When we checked in Riccardo (one of the managers) welcomed us and explained everything, gave us a map and showed us restaurants, places to visit, etc. He made sure we had all we needed every day! The breakfast was amazing! Cappuccino, espresso, several milk options, cereals, meats, eggs, bacon, sausage, juices, 4 different types of croissants…
The room was beautiful and clean, we wished it had a seating area for 2 people, but our room didn’t. However, they have a patio area with tables and chairs and outdoor furniture. They also have a bar service starting at 5pm and Mateo and other waiters were very helpful. They always made something we loved. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe, yet there are many restaurant options. Rialto Bridge is 10-15 min away walking and St. Mark square 25 minutes.
To get to the hotel you need a water taxi, like most things in Venice. The hotel can help you arrange it and they will also help with suitcases if needed. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! I strongly recommend this hotel!

This did work against it however as any footsteps or voices in the halls were very clear. That aside, the hotel was perfect. The location is also close to some reasonable bars and restaurants as it is outside of the tourist hot spots. Spritz can be had for as little as 3€ per glass.
