I want to start this off by saying I love NH hotels. I have consistently had great service in them and never had any issues. Always clean and great service. I will say this one did not have the AC blowing cold air. In fact it was blowing hot air in our room despite us putting the thermometer to 19 degrees it would just go up over 22 degrees in actual temperature. We ended up sleeping with the windows open and thankfully it was cold out. Other than that everything else was perfect including location. Close to the train station so did not have to take our luggage around, close to the taxis that took us to murano and burano. I will say in the defense of the hotel we did not tell them about the AC we just dealt with it cause it was cold out but it was not ideal.

Second time staying at NH Venezia. Cannot beat this location. It’s a two minute walk from the train station which is also a hub for the water taxis.

The hotel itself is nice, clean and the staff very courteous.

We checked in late and there was very friendly staff who spoke multiple languages at the reception desk. The room was very nice, bathroom was very spacious for a base double room. The room was very clean the bed was comfortable. The hotel gives off an upper scale vibe. It is located very close to the train terminal and has a vaporetto water taxi for inner city travel is nearby. The Alilaguna water taxi station is only about a 4 minute walk. I would highly recommend this place.

All the room are not the same standard for premium room with canal view. We had the chance to be able to change in the middle of our trip but be sure to confirm which room you get.

Breakfast is okay but could be better for the standing.
Also the hotel is very well located though its a bit noisy because of the street.
Overall a good choice but some things can clearly be improved

The only good thing about this property is that it’s very close to the train station and lots of other restaurants and shops. Our room was severely outdated. The paint and wallpaper were peeling, the furniture is very old and does that match record day with anything else in the room the walls were very soft, meaning that if you press against the wall it feels a little like cushion. This means that there was effectively no soundproofing. The staff were pretty friendly for the most part and helpful when needed. The hotel also smelled pretty awful. I would stay here again if the place were updated, otherwise it wasn’t really worth the price in my opinion. Be aware that the water taxi people will try to get you to pay to have your luggage delivered. Understand that this hotel is quite literally right next to the train station (immediately on the left) and save yourself time and money, and from getting scammed.

Hotel is not in very good condition. Service was very poor. After I reviewed my check in (because it didn’t go well), someone from the staff called me angry because of my review. I even asked her if she was calling to pick up a fight with me. Wow!

Quality of the food served at breakfast is poor, breakfast is self service and even the coffee comes out of a vending machine. They switched the bed of one of the rooms, one night before leaving for no reason and took away the extra blankets and in the other room they didn’t leave any extra toilet paper on that same night. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. The only good thing about it, is its location since it is really near from the train station.

Perfect location - We had large suitcases and it would have been very difficult to navigate any further into the city with the cobblestone streets and large bridges. We got stuck during a train strike so we didn’t arrive in Venice until after midnight and we booked this hotel last minute… It was pricey, but we booked the same day. We stay there so that’s understandable and our view was only of another wall with a window, but the staff more than made up for by being so helpful.

Perfect location for a Venice stay.

Very short walking distance from the train station means you can check in or leave bags upon arrival. Water buses nearby to whisk you to center of Venice or other locations. 10 minute walk to autobus station (with a stair-filled bridge) for a 10 euro ride to or from the airport.

Hotel itself is lovely. With a welcoming staff. Even the “cheap” rooms had nice views, big beds, and a good bathroom. I would definitely use this as my Venice home base in the future.

Venice Does Not Disappoint!

NH Hotel is in an outstanding location, close to everything. We took a boat from airport to the dock in front of the hotel. The train station is on the same side as the hotel with 5-minute walk. We enjoyed a beautiful balcony room with great amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is literally a few houses next to the train station. Water buses and water taxis are right outside of the hotels make it so convenient. It's a short walk from bus station to go to and from the airports. Staffs are friendly. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Staff was great! We asked to move our room due to the bed being up stairs and they were able accommodate us.
This made our stay so much better. They even moved our luggage for us

Property is close to the main ferry port, and the train terminal, and well maintained.

The worst part of our stay was that the AC was not functional. The staff told us, that the Italian government has enforced some rules regarding not turning on the AC, which seemed BS, as the AC in Rome's hotel stay was working fine (we visited Rome after Venice).

When I had asked the reception staff during the day about the AC not working, he suggested to open the windows, which we did. At night, we couldn't sleep due to insane number of mosquitoes entering our room. The windows don't have any nets. When I went to complain about it at night, the reception staff rudely told me not to try opening the windows due to mosquitoes. Surprising that their person had told me the opposite. He told me I should know what to expect. But again, AC not working, and windows not netted, is a BIG issue of this hotel.

Very dusty and super hot, air conditioning is regulated to a point that is ridiculous, if you add the amount of mosquitos going around the experience is lacking to say the least. Location was the reason we pick this Hotel due to the proximity the train station and the amount of luggage we had. Next time I will prioritize comfort over logistics, one day pushing suitcases is better than this experience any time. Will not come back to this Hotel again unfortunately. Also it felt extremely expensive for what you get.

Good hotel in Venezia, could be great.

NH Hotel Santa Lucia is located just steps from the train station, the Ferrara ( train station) vaporetto stop and the tourist office, all of which make it a perfect choice to get around car-free Venezia. Staff were exceptionally helpful, and made every effort to make my stay with them as pleasant as possible. Beds were among the most comfortable of my entire trip around Italy. Regret there are some negatives, which I hope the NH Hotels management will remedy, because Santa Lucia could be a great hotel. Rooms were too small, especially with a king bed taking up a disproportionate amount of space. Although the bathrooms were new and lovely, the room decor was drab and unappealing. And the mod furniture, tech lighting and especially oversized headboards, were just wrong. Maybe some beautiful printed wallpaper and more traditional furniture would help? The bar and common rooms were better, with their spectacular Murano glass chandeliers; however, again, the mod furniture just does not work. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of choices, but also could be better. That said, I enjoyed my stay at the Santa Lucia and thank the staff for making it special.

It was the perfect spot. Not too far from the train station, the vaporetto stations, gondolas and bus stations. We got the top floor and it was an awesome view. From sunrise to evening views of Venice, it was amazing. The staff was more than helpful and helped us when we need direction and help with getting to the airport. Awesome free breakfast and it was near some of the hidden gems of Venice! A definite, place to consider!

Very easy to locate on arrival at train station and close to bus station. Tourist info office close by. Great base for exploring Venice. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful with local information. Comfortable rooms, nicely fitted bathrooms and quality towels.

I had a couple of problems with my room (TV and internal phone), to which the staff responded swiftly and happily. I was moved to a new room! The safe battery needed replacing during my stay and again the maintenance person resolved this quickly.

They were excellent and very kind.. Room was clean and very classy. Staff was supportive and answered any questions I had. They stored my bags the day we arrived in the morning and the day when we were set to leave but there was a train strike and we were delayed and stuck in town for a few extra hours. If I come back to Venice. I would stay here again.

The NH hotel is in the perfect location, right next to the Venice train station. I was so thankful not to have to drag my luggage throughout Venice.

Massimiliano greeted us at the front desk when we arrived. He was super nice and helpful. We went to him on several occasions with tourist type questions which he graciously answered. THANK YOU sir!

The hotel itself is very nice and stylish in the lobby. Our room was nice, the bathroom was decent size. The only negative was we had a terrible view. We saw ally rooftops and construction. For over $500 dollars US, I hoped for something a little better. Good news, we were only in the room to sleep.
