Great apartment in Venice.

Loved this suite, very roomy for 3 people, clean and good air conditioning. Beds were comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, far from the crowds, which we wanted. Close to authentic restaurants, not so touristy. We could walk to the main tourist areas in 20 min. Very close to the train station, no bridges to carry suitcases over. The front desk is not open all the time so make sure you check with them and tell them when you arrive.

Great place to stay, close to the train station,only had to walk over one bridge to get to the apartment, had dishes and cookware to use . Our apartment had an oven,the stove top was gas and the oven was electric, we had a refrigerator and freezer. This is perfect if you are staying multiple nights you can buy groceries and make your own breakfast,lunch,or dinner . They had a rolling shopping cart like the locals use to go to the market which was close to the apartment. It was nice that we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. Del Spar supermarket is close and the water taxi was close near the train station. There was a separate bedroom and they had a pullout sofa sleeper, We had 3 people, you have to recycle and separate paper, plastics, glass, and metal .

The apartment had a nice living space which was great for our family of six. We could spend time all together versus being split up into two small hotel rooms. Service was great. Shower was a little small, but other than that it was great for us. Might not look like much from the outside, but it worked great, and was close to everything we needed.

The location is good for those who want to take a train. You can easily get to pier and restaurants.
The staffs were so helpful. They advised how to get a boat and where is a good restaurant.
From my experience, i recommend to book a room on the upstairs. My stay at first floor was a little bit noisy, but everything there made our Venizia trip so great.

Be forewarned, the property manager is uncompromising when it comes to the 7:00 check-in time. Minutes later will incur a late check-in fee. Unfortunately, this tainted the overall experience from the start. The room itself has good amenities—no water boiler but kettle and stove, heated towel warmer, good heating and WiFi, decent shower with hot water that can sometimes be a bit temperamental. I’m not sure if this is just a reflection of the city of Venice, but the cost of this apartment was rather high in comparison to what we got at other big cities for a lesser cost. The apartment itself is shabby looking with dated furniture. The bedroom has fluorescent lighting which makes that room in particular a little dim and creepy. The location of the apartment is slightly out of the way from the main street, which makes it quiet but also entails a dimly-lit walk through small alleys at night. There are no electric power points in the bedroom unless you take the two lamps out. Last but not least, we had to leave Venice early in the morning on the day of checkout, and the property managers main concern was collecting the city tax. She was a bit short with me until the payment was sorted and she never actually answered my original question of where to put the key upon checkout until I asked again.

Nice apartment near Venezia St Lucia Station

Was a pleasant stay overall. But you have to check in before 7pm to avoid 30euro late check in fees. We made it before time as it’s about 10minute walk from train station. It’s a quiet area away from the busy central street. But 5-10minute walk brings you to all the restaurants and shop. Ours was a 1bedroom apartment with all the amenities. It had cooking utensils,fridge ,microwave and washing machine which is required on a holiday. Although there is only 1 AC fitted in the living room, but in September end you don’t need it much. But in summers , this might cause discomfort. There is a fan in bedroom which doesn’t do much. Bathroom was tidy,basic but shower water temperature fluctuated from hot to cold frequently. There is no daily housekeeping or change of towels/bed sheet so staying here many days can be a problem unless you wash them on your own. Apartment is in a very quiet area,walking here in the night feels lonely but it is safe. We didn’t face any problem here. Hotel reception guy in the evening was good and give us few tips to go around Venice and a helpful enlarged map of Venice. Would certainly recommend as the apartment is spacious with all amentities. There is no breakfast in this hotel. Wifi worked well in room.

Convenient location to walk to from the train station. Can walk, or catch vaporettos from 2 nearby stops, to main tourist sights. Quiet area, comfortable bed, good air con and wi fi. Despar grocery store just before the street you walk down so handy to pick up food items when returning from a day out.

Nice stay in Venezia

A little out of the way from the main tourist areas (San Marco, etc) but quiet. Close to some nice restaurants along the river just to the north as well as the ferry. Can also walk to the main Ferrovia and Train terminal in about 6 minutes. No issues with check-in and check-out (left earlier than office hours and left keys in post as directed). Laundry and kitchen was a plus.Other amenities were also nice.
We didn't check about leaving luggage prior to check-in but someone is there from 9am so it might be possible and could have saved us some cash storing at a \"left luggage\" depot.
Overall, a great place and we enjoyed out stay. There is a local grocery store Despar on the way to the train station and can stop in there to pick up cheap water and fresh fruits.

Excellent, location perfect , calm and peace from main square but very close to canals can be reached in 5 minutes.
We had a room but were led to believe that it is a flat had no mean to cook anything all we had a microwave in a cupboard and we just did not use it at all, we would have preferred to have a kitchen with ustensiles instead.

10 minutes walk from train station and close to water buses make this very convenient for our two night stay. Very clean. We had trouble with AC but they came to our room within 5 minutes and changed the batteries in the remote control to correct the problem. On-site manager made checking in easy. Note: office closed during lunch time hour.

Lovely little self catering accommodation

Alberghiera Venezia was easy to find when you know how. We flew in to Marco Polo Airport and got a 15 minute bus to Piazza Roma crossed the bridge and walked to our accommodation in around 8 minutes. If you didn't want to cross the bridge you could get Vaperetto to Ferrovia stop and which would take a few mins and walk from there. When we arrived with the help of google maps which was easy, we could find reception, a kind man came to our rescue after calling him turns out we were literally right there. We were given our keys and our room was directly above the reception area. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked a little canal. We found we were central to a lot of places with San Marco maybe around half an hours walking distance. If you preferred to get the Vaporetto the stop was around 5 mins walking distance and maybe 15/20 mins ride going under the Rialto Bridge. We found a lovely little street cocktail bar next to campo della maddalena around 10 minutes away we spent many a night there. Took a trip to Lido was lovely, but pretty cold for the beach so just drank wine and ate spaghetti :) Done a wine tour in Cannergio area which is where Alberghiera is, it was great stopped at 5 little bars with a guide tasted wine and chichetti ( local snacks ) Overall a really lovely trip with great accomodation

Great location close to the train station and Ferrovia ferry stop. Venice is small enough that we could easily explore the city on foot and ferry once we had dumped our bags at the accommodation.
It was spacious as well as being cosy and perfectly quiet and dark at night - we slept so well... Lovely relaxing holiday!
Facilities could have been better - the shower was variable - poor flow and could be hot or cold. The oven didn't work which we didn't complain about as we didn't need it but would be something worth being mindful of it you were planning to do extensive self-catering. The hob and microwave were sufficient.

Walking distance from railway station! Hotel does not have lift and 24 hours hotel lobby. It opens from 9.00 - 1:00 PM and 2:00 - 5:00 PM. So plan to arrive during these times. It’s an apartment-hotel style without hotel maid to clean your room everyday.

This was a real find - once you found it. A couple of streets off the main street look like alleyways, so be aware - otherwise this is relatively straightforward. We felt lucky to get such a great apartment for probably less than a hotel-room price. We could make our own breakfasts, heat up leftovers, and spread out over a number of rooms. Just an absolute gem. I hope they don't raise the rates because of my praise!

Albergueria Venecia offers appartments in main Venice, full kitchen and plenty of space. However it lacks services commond to a hotel, reception only works for a few hours and the room service is not diary. It makes a lot of sense if you planning to stay for several days.

We loved it here. Nice quiet area yet still seems very safe. Close to the train station so we didn't have to lug our bags through busy Venice. Friendly staff recommended good places to eat and where to find supermarkets etc. Also backs onto a canal so you have a canal outside bedroom window which is kind of nice as a visitor to Venice!

The room was pleasant. Clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good climate control. Carmella was friendly; check in was easy, she recommended a nice restaurant.

We really liked the location, as even though it was just a 5 minute walk from the train station, it was set back behind the station in a quiet neighborhood, a bit away from the Disney World-esque Grande Canal area, yet close enough to get into the touristy areas quickly. The neighborhoods in the vicinity of the hotel, as you walk in the opposite direction of the main tourist area was a fantastic part of town in which to spend time. Lot's of small restaurants and pubs/wine shops and several rows of auxiliary canals. This provided a great flavor of the local environment.

Overall, we highly recommend Alberghiera Venezia.

We loved our apartment in Venice. It was very spacious. The AC worked well. The kitchen was huge and well equipped. The staff was great. Reception is open limited hours, but worked fine for us. I chose this hotel mainly because of the close location to the train and bus station. Easy walk from the train station. Have to cross a bridge to get to the bus terminal, but it was not too bad. Only 8Euro for direct bus to airport. We like to walk, so sightseeing was no problem. We had good luck with the boats to Murano and back. It is a little hike to the big grocery store. My daughter made excellent baked chicken and I enjoyed some great local wine.

We stayed at the Alberghiera as part of an inter railing trip through Switzerland and Italy. The apartment has everything you could want, including a washing machine ! It was clean, well maintained and very spacious. If I return to Venice I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Booked a room for 4 adults and a 3-year-old child. The pictures and description on expedia (or TripAdvisor) don't do justice to the quality of the rooms (v.good). Very clean, and fully furnished apt (with washer, microwave, dishes, etc.). Despite the higher price (normal for venice), it was cheaper option for our family; and given size, location (quite, and very close to train station and restaurants), I think it is a very good option.

This was a one bedroom apartment that was fully furnished. It is in a great location, close enough to everything that you can walk to but in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood. It's about 100 yards from the train station to the turn off street then just follow their directions to the hotel - not that hard to find. However, they only register guest for 2:00 to 7:00 so make sure you check your arrival time.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen so eating at home is a breeze. The staff was helpful and friendly. There were even a couple of English language TV stations and none of them CNN!
We would highly recommend this to anyone going to Venice.

Very nice clean and modern apartment. The surrounding buildings are however very poor and the graffiti is a definate put off. If you are wanting WiFi you will have to stand in reception. Only issue we had was requesting an extra towel which proved to be a bit of an issue. Although actually very easy to find once located beware that the only signage for the hotel is a very small reception sign.

VERY nice apartment in a great area!

This is a great place to stay! It's in a quiet residential area, yet still less than a 5 minute walk to restaurants, the train station and Vaporetto stops & only about a 10 minute or less walk to Piazzale Roma if you're coming in by taxi or shuttle from the airport. If you're getting dropped off in Piazzale Roma you only have to go over one bridge, if you're coming from the train station you won't have to go over any to get to the hotel. And hen you have luggage that you have to carry up and down the bridge steps you'll be grateful for that. Venice is FULL of bridges and that was a huge plus! The apartment was so nice and comfortable. They even had extra pillows and blankets (which you seem to have to beg and plead for in other hotels) and a full kitchen. We were there over New Year's so Venice was quite cold and the floor heating was AMAZING! It had good amenities and even included a hair dryer and washing machine. The only problem we had was that because it was in a more residential area, it was far away from the tourist areas, but those are the areas you are going to find yourself visiting a lot. It's a 30 minute walk to St. Mark's Square and 45min+ on the Vaporetto. The Vaporetto is a really nice relaxing ride and Venice is fun and easy to walk through. But when it's biting cold outside you won't want to walk 30+ min. And since we were there over New Year's, we were out late on New Year's Eve and the Vaporetto stops running when it gets late.

Small apartment living instead of Hotel

This is considered an apartment, so you don't get room service during your stay. The washer was great but no dryer, which is common. If you do wash clothes there, allow 3 days to dry. Nice to have a refrigerator and microwave, but there wasn't a table to eat at, so that was a little difficult when we ate in the room. We also had problems with mosquitoes, so bring mosquito repellent. The receptionist was very helpful.

Apartment was spacious. Separate kitchen was nice, adequate. Very quiet. Near the train station for easy walk but just away from the main tourist avenue. Only issue was for late check in. I was only a few minutes late but the staff had left and I was charged the fee, even though I called they would not wait for me. Staff was very nice, though. Best to schedule check in with plenty of time to allow for airport travel. Overall a great place to stay.

So modern and clean. Impossible to find 1st time

Very nice and very modern. Definitely up to American standards. Quiet neighborhood near the Jewish Ghetto. Actually watched an elderly Jewish man play a shofar horn in the street. Our bedroom had a window that opened up to a canal. Very close to the train station and vaporetto stop Ferovia. Never figured out how to use the washing machine correctly. There is no sign or indication where the check in desk is. We had to ask a local as we were walking around in circles. Turned out we were right in front of the building. The front desk door is behind hedges. Will stay here again if we ever come back to Venice.

A quiet part of Venice

Nice new spacious apartment in a quiet end of Venice. Very clean with washing machine. Easy walk from S Lucia train station with no steps or bridges to cross. We had a ground floor apartment which was perfect, however others are upstairs and I didn't see a lift.

Great room, but horrendous service

The room was the best our of the four hotels we stayed at during our Europe trip. Clean and spacious and had plenty of amenities - even a washing machine! The problem lied in the customer non-service. Their main office is only open from 9a-7p (lunch from 1-2p) so you're out of luck if you want to check in at any other time. We e-mailed the hotel ahead of time noting that we'd get in early and they said it was okay for us to leave our bags there...but when we arrived at 5a no one was there. When we called we were told we'd have to wait until 9a. So we just kind of hung out in the dark for awhile, then went to a cafe to pass the time Then the people arrived at the office 25 minutes late and we were told we couldn't check in early, even though we got no sleep the night before. We came back at 1:15, the girl walked past us into her office and locked the door behind her, opening it not a minute early, so we couldn't check in until exactly 2p. During checkout we got attitude when trying to leave our bags as well. Terrible disregard for the customers, I've never stayed somewhere so disgusting.

This was a great place to stay, but I think my kids may have had bed bugs in their bed. After the first day bites started appearing on their legs and arms, and after the third days they were covered. I didn't get any bites and neither did other guests but my kids found the bugs. Everything else about this hotel was great

Great location

The apartment was in a quiet location but within walking distance of the main tourist sites. Very well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay, e.g. kitchen utensils, hairdryer, ironing board, washing machine, wifi, tv etc. Everything looked quite new and clean.

Absolutely Perfect!!!

Hotel (Apartment) is close to Ferrovia, Train Station, Bus Station. Easy walk with Luggage. Air conditioning worked beautifully! Apartment was clean and comfortable. Pull out sofa had a firm thick mattress, but better than a thin one. We didn't use the washing machine, but was a nice amenity to have. There is a canal running behind hotel that leads out to larger one that has waterbus stops. Restaurants are all along the larger canal leading to Strada Nuova St or the other way was the end of a block that has gorgeous sunset views. The Front desk staff, Carmella, was very friendly and helpful. FREE WIFI was fast and had enough codes for everyone to use their phones & tablets!

Beautiful room - great location

The hotel is not typical and is a bit difficult to find at first, but it is in the Cannaregio district which is quiet and lovely while still being convenient to the grand canal. You can walk to the hotel if arriving by train, but if you choose to use a water taxi have them drop you at the Ai Tre Archi (the 3 arches) restaurant - they can direct you to the hotel. The restaurant is also very excellent. There is no maid service at the hotel, but owners were very helpful in getting us where we needed to go and securing taxi and restaurant reservations. Highly recommend.

My little place in Venice!

The apartments are very comfortable, we were three in a one bedroom with a sofa bed and we all slept wonderfully. The location is very good, only a ten minute walk to the Ferrovia and to Rialto. One thing I would say is, arrive early so you can book a Porter to take your bags from the Ferrovia to the complex because hauling luggage across cobblestone streets is NOT a fun experience. The service is excellent by everyone who tended to us. Its a very good place for a nice family vacation near restaurants and shopping!
