Our family room was very comforable and clean with a very good shower and spacious. Less than a 5 min walk from Santa Lucia made it so easy on arrival a d for exploring. Staff were nice enough, not overly personal but sufficient for our 1 night. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Room had air con, and only a little noise from the street below. Would go back!

Pictures are very mis-leading

Staff and breakfast were good, the room was terrible. The pictures on the website are definitely not what we experienced. The 4” foam mattress on slats made for a terrible sleep, the black between tiles in the tiny shower looked very unsanitary. Completely different from the photos posted on your website. We expected character, not substandard accommodations.

This hotel is in a typical alley of Venice, and like everything here is smaller than your American style hotels. We had a quad-room (2 twins, 1 \"queen\"). The room was clean, bathroom clean and had good pressure. Our fridge didn't really work, and all the outlets struggled to hold our adapters (these are the only reason why I didn't rate 5 starts). Breakfast was typical for Italy, except they wanted you to sign up due to size of breakfast seating area.

The air conditioning broke one night, and the person in the lobby didn't know how to fix it. Communication was a problem since the staff barely spoke English. Breakfast was not that impressive, always the same menu, but if they schedule you for a later time, there are fewer items to choose from.

The location is the best, no need to carry luggage all over Venice to get to your hotel. The room was as expected, we thought it needs a little bit of maintenance and care, paint is falling off the walls, deeper cleaning wouldn’t hurt. Staff was nice, being able to leave our bags for a few hours after checking out was a great plus.

The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the station and all the sights of Venice.
The hotel is very tired, the room we had was in very poor condition. The safe was broken, a curtain was missing, shower door was missing and stains on the bed sheets. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.
No tea or coffee making facilities and you have to book a set time for breakfast from available slots on a list.
The hotel lift is tiny and ridiculously slow.
The staff at the hotel are unhelpful and unfriendly. The only exception was Irene on reception who was lovely.
The breakfast staff are particularly miserable, the breakfast is ok but limited selection and the breakfast room is drab and depressing and the second are for breakfast is a tent. Awful hotel - avoid.

Definitely recommend this hotel. Very easy access on arrival both to the island and into the hotel itself. Greeted by friendly cheerful and welcoming staff.
We had a balcony and a kitchenette in the room which was plenty spacious. Breakfast included freshly made coffee to order (not from a machine). What’s not to like!

We have just had a lovely stay at agli artistic, the room was very clean, cleaners came in every day while we were out and made the bed, changed towels etc so the room was spotless when we returned. We found the room very hot at night but just left the windows open to combat this. The area around the hotel was very quiet so we didn't find that outside noise disturbed us. When we arrived we discovered that breakfast was included which we weren't expecting, it's pretty basic but satisfied us, the kids loved the pancakes and chocolate spread. The staff were all lovely and friendly.

This location is conveniently located by the train station and the bus station/drop-off. It is down an alley so not very busy. Close to great restaurants and shops. The biggest issue is that in one day, the power went out THREE times on our floor. The employee at the front desk was stressing about it, and was quick to remedy it--however, it was very inconvenient and nothing was offered to make up for it. Rooms are basic, but that is typical for European rooms.

Fine for a couple of nights, wouldn’t want to spe!

Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. You could hear every sound from the other rooms and floors. The lift was the slowest known to man! We didn’t like having to book a slot for breakfast as it’s not always easy to predict when you want to get up, plus we found the staff quite curt. The area was nice and central and reception staff were very welcoming. Probably wouldn’t stay there again though.

Put us in a room on the top floor with no working air conditioning during a heatwave with no idea of when it would be fixed and could not sleep. Then the next morning they turned off the water also telling us they had no idea when it would be turned back on. We were lucky to find another hotel with availability, most were fully booked and promptly checked out. We contacted Expedia to file a complaint and request a refund for the unused night which the manager initially denied. We had to go back to the hotel to complain again at which point they finally said they would not charge us for the night we didn't stay.

Need a refund for this room. The air conditioning was broken at 40oC the room on the fifth floor, 406, was between 32 and 40oC between 4:00 pm and 1:00 am. They did nothing to help us. We had to make a reservation at another hotel in the middle of the night because they just would not fix it. Francesca at the reception was very rude. Screamed at me. Antonella knew nothing and called her boss to tell us that they could do nothing because we’ve booked with Expedia

Within minutes walk of the main station for a one night stay and well equipped for 3 people. Clean, friendly staff and close to plenty of restaurants. 30 min walk to St Mark's. Breakfast included which we couldn't make due to catching an early train, but staff were nice enough to package a take away for us to collect when leaving. Well worth the stay!

The morning breakfast was excellent ! The staff for the breakfast were friendly and it was very well organized. The check in was delayed as they didn’t have enough staff on site. We didn’t have hot water in the shower for days of our stay. We ran out of all toiletries to the room and when looking to stock them up, there was no staff to help us out. I had to get towels myself. The room was more warn down than the pictures show. The front hotel door is open at all times so at night there were drunk people coming in as there was no one at the front desk. Wifi didn’t reach our room so I had to go to the lobby to use it. When trying to connect, there was a lineup of people trying to get access to the internet at the front desk with the same time. Also barely got normal cellular reception in our room which was on the main floor. Every time i spoke to the front desk about something, they gave me attitude. I wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t go back to stay here but it is located in a great and convenient location

The room was designed for only 2 people and they added 2 more beds to make it a room for 4 people, so the cramped and uncomfortable inside the room was terrible, in addition to the closet capacity which was enough for only two clients. one of the 2 electrical outlets that should be used for the second nightstand, which did not exist, was left on one of the added beds, so it could not be used. The air conditioning did not work so we had to sleep with the window open, the last beds did not get cool, the answer they gave regarding the latter was that at this time of year, the hotels in the area disconnect the air conditioners , which seems illogical to me, the decision on the temperature of the room must be made by the client

Location was good, close to good restaurants and waterbus stops. Breakfast was nice although we had to book in for set time slots, would have preferred more flexibility. Booked to stay here for 4 nights but upon arrival was informed that the 3 star Agli Artisti is made up of itself and 2 other hotels including one called Hotel Florida on the same street and that we would not actually be staying at Agli Artisti but at Hotel Florida instead. Florida is a 2 star hotel. The room was basic and while it was quiet in terms of noise from outside, we could hear every footstep, voice and floorboard creak in the rest of the building. In the bathroom the extractor fan didn't work, the water took a long time to heat up and there were water stains on the ceiling. Worst, my friend and I have both returned home covered in small red bumps that we are hoping aren't from bed bugs. Despite the location and price, we would not stay here again.

This hotel was well located close to the railway station so moving our bags was just a short walk. The room had beds to sleep four but they filled the room and there was not much space left. To get to the closet you had to move the beds. The elevator takes one person and suitcase and is very slow and for us on the fourth floor would have taken close to 15 mins to move us all, so we just hauled our bags up the stairs instead. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. The room was pricey for its size but probably cheaper than most for this popular holiday vacation spot.

Great stay in Venice

Great stay in Venezia at Hotel Agli. I loved this city. My first time there. I will be back for sure.

The hotel is so close to the train station, and in Venice you can walk anywhere from one side of the city to the other in 20 minutes, but in reality it will take more than 2 hours because everywhere you step is beautiful. But it is convenient to be close to the train station so you can easily move your luggage to your next destination.

Pros: Good location which is just 3 minutes walk from the Metro Station

Cons: Shower had loud noises; wall is not as sound proof; breakfast timing is really off as it only starts at 8am which can be too late since the daytime in Winter is shorter; fridge in the room is not working; no kettle in the room and we had to get the hot water from the receptionist

We have requested for a takeaaay breakfast on the last day as our train is at 740am in the morning. The receptionist said he was not informed about it but when he did a check, he realised he missed it out. Turns out, he merely pack 2 plain bread (cold and not toasted) for us. There were other food such as the crossaints are already ready and we requested for it (since breakfast is a buffet style) but he refused to let us have it. When we requested for hot water that morning, he also refused to let us have it with lame reason saying it will tale time for him to boil water. Honestly dissapointed with the service rendered.

We loved the location of this hotel! It was a 2-min walk from the train station and had many restaurants, a grocery, pharmacy, and Catholic church all within a stone's throw. The People Mover to the cruise terminal was only about a 5-min walk away too. Great location, friendly staff, clean and safe rooms, and free breakfastall for a great price!

Fantastic location. Room on 4th floor with private bathroom.... very strange configuration. Solo traveller but they put up trundle bed; fridge too close to ac unit so couldnt see to operate it; great balcony overlooking alley; large separate bathroom with shower toilet and bidet; strange ante room with cupboard only; water damage to ceiling. All in all a reasonable room for the price, spotlessly clean and serviced daily. Great chichetti nearby, or trattoria or restaurant depending on your budget. Very close to ferry stop.

Rooms available but wouldn’t let us check in an hour early. Room was next to entrance and lobby which was very noisy all night long. The room was cold, the bed was a cot, the hall was filthy and dirt all up the hallway which had clearly been there a while. The window opened to a garbage can which smelled terrible...... the room did not resemble the photos oh the website. Loud talking by children and adults standing outside our door. VERY DISTURBING after a very long flight and train.

We are senior citizens and we were on the 4th floor witout benefit of elevators. Heavy luggage without porter help. Bathroom was supposedly handicap but floors slippery without sufficient handicap bars. This has been a change from previous ownership and was still in remodeling. Was not aware of thus previous to reserving room. Towels were wonderfully thick, nine like that so far in our trip.

The location near the train station was convenient. However, the rooms were very tiny, and the condition quite poor. It rained in the night and a leak formed right over my bed. Staff changed the bedding and left a towel under the drip until it stopped - lucky for me it didn't rain the following night. The shower was extremely small. Breakfast was not very good. The elevator wasn't working. Overall, disappointing and wouldn't go back.

Budget hotel close to the main train station and Grand canal. There is no elevator so if you are traveling with Seniors or have a lot of luggage, it's a hassle to haul it up and down. Staff is all right. Breakfast area is small and gets crowded.

The hotel was in a very good location. It was conveniently close to the train station which was fantastic. Room was very simple but I was not expecting differently; room is set for those who wish to only sleep and have a quick shower....Not to lounge around. It was affordable. 2 minutes walk from the train station so there’s no fuss with suitcases as soon as you arrive but from the accommodation you’d never know you were right next to a major cross roads or noise or foot traffic. It’s quite and feels cozy and quite. You’re right in the middle of it all, shopping, food and sites without the haul of moving from one side of the city to the other with a suitcase which I absolutely endorse to really minimise the stress of travelling. There are stairs as there’s not lift in the hotel but it’s a concession worth taking considering the great location.

It is a perfect place location wise to experience Venice and the waterways. 2 minute walk to great food and the canals.
Hotel beds are comfy. Air conditioning was lovely in our room but not for our teenage children’s room. No elevator which means you could have to climb 3 flights of stairs.

This place was close to everything we needed, close to shops and restaurants. The only downside was that there is no elevator so if your suite is up stairs good luck going up there with the heat and all your luggage. Another minus was the shower, it is very small. The rooms were ok.

Our family only stayed there one night. We killed more than 40 Mosquitos before we were able to sleep. The hotel staff put us as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids in the fourth floor with no elevator or lift. No cleaning and room was not cleaned. Sheets smelled bad and very noisy and uncomfortable stay

Two buildings and bad quality extra beds.

The hotel is near the train station. Be sure to be in the main building. We stayed in a separated building. There was no elevator. The room and bathroom are very small. We were four adults in a room and they used a couples room with two extra beds (of very bad quality), one even broke during the night. Does not deserve the 3 stats for sure!!
