Super close to the train station. The rooms are opulent looking, which added greatly to the stay. We also had a lovely balcony on the garden where we enjoyed. It is a bit of a hike to the main area, but we wouldn't change that. We preferred being away from the frenzy of inner Venice! The woman that runs the breakfast was rude and abrupt. We placed our water bottles on the dining table, as we often fill up them up at breakfast. She asked if we wanted hot water in them, I said no. She went back into the kitchen and came out when I was filling one up. She called me out in front of the whole dinging room and told me that the water was only for drinking at breakfast. She said she asked if I wanted water and that I should not be filling them up there; their water was fine to drink from the tap. 1. She should not have been so public 2. I didn't want HOT water, obviously, I wanted cold. 3. I did not know the water was fine to drink, there are other ways to communicate this with guests. Several minutes later I asked her about the fruit salad as it had been used up. I asked if there was any more. She said no, but it was still very early in the breakfast time, so I asked again, is there any of this (pointing to the bowl) available and to this she said, \"No... proof! It is gone!\" 10 minutes later, more was in the bowl. She did not come to tell me or apologize for her words. Fabiola at front desk was a pleasure.

The property was clean and the staff were grest. Within a 5 min walk to train station and a 10 min walm from bus stop as flew in fro..paris to venice airport and took the bus from the airport. Tickets for the bus are available at a ticket wicket as you exit the airport. A lovely hotel and convenient.

Old building, but nice. Lots of charm and character. The walls of our room were covered in fabric (thought it was wallpaper lol) Our room came with a cute little balcony with a table and two chairs. Shower was a hand held, so a little tricky to wash hair while water was running. Water pressure was great! Hair dryer was bizarre wall-mounted thing from the 80’s? Wasn’t sure how to work it/get the air hotter so not great if you needed it to style your hair. No bathroom fan, but there is a window in the bathroom to let out steam. The a/c unit blew warm air when turned to cool, so didn’t use, but there were plenty of windows to open and get a breeze to cool down room (in April so not crazy hot out anyway). Breakfast was nice.

Chosen primarily for the location, the hotel is well placed and easy to find. Breakfast was great. The room on the ground floor was firectly at street level which was very noisy from about 0530 with trolleys, suitcases etc being dragged directly outside your exterior facing door. Rooms were OK but the shower in the bathroom had no door so you had to be careful not to soak everything. Would stay again but only for a short period.

not good for longer stay

My room was tiny, could hardly move around inside. The A/C leaked, water floating all over on the ground. No sound isolation at all, I could hear people talking/walking by outside at night. Fortunately, I only stayed one night and had to leave for the airport early the next morning. Good location though.

Very easy to reach without any bridges to cross specially if one has heavy luggage. In the midst of a bustling activity yet very quiet and has a lovely garden in which to breakfast in summer. One of the reasons I selected this hotel was it had rooms for 3 people within a short walk of the station. It was very convenient when you located it down a street (alley). It is hard to move luggage far in Venice with the stone streets and bridges and the bridges will th steps so this hotel was easy to get too. Also because ng close to the train station means close to shops/supermarket and ferrys. Hotel is clean and quiet with a nice breakfast.

The hotel was in good condition, and staff were very friendly. Our room was situated right next to the alley and where they serve breakfast. Starting at 7am it was extremely noisey with employees clashing plates and people on the street. The room itself was very clean.

This is an older style hotel. The room was clean but very old fashion looking. Our bathroom had half a shower door missing but otherwise the room was good for a night. It included a simple breakfast. The staff was amazing though! Helped us with our luggage up the stairs and spoke great English. Overall, I would stay there again if I was looking to not spend a lot on a room in Venice.

The hotel was ok, room was basic but clean, The restaurant was a disaster, The seating area is in a canopy at the back of the hotel. The continental breakfast was not good, not fresh, and definitely not worth eating. The meats and cheeses came straight from the kitchen, and they were not nice. The hotel is in a great location. Location 3 mins from station. Let you leave bags after check out until you left for the train. Immediate access to public transport - boats and station.
Included breakfast was great lots of choices. WIFI WORKED FINE AND AC. Staff very helpful. Location quiet side street but after 100 yds right into tourist pathway and shops. Boat to St Marks about 20 mins with stops 20 min walk.
Would absolutely stay there again.

The room was as we expected, very small with a seperate private bathroom. Breakfast was simple but nice. The main complaint we had was that the hotel was quite small so that you could easily hear others in the morning. In particular if felt like the staff would start making noise (including sometimes talking loudly) around 7.15am.

We arrived late and had to walk down a dark/narrow street to find the hotel. Once there we were shown a large room with another room off of it. The main room had a day bed and the room in the back had a double. Cute antique furniture. The only downside is the room was right by the kitchen that they used to wash the dishes from breakfast so it was very loud very early. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel area was completely different once daylight. Super cute and busy. Great place close to the main train station.

Walls are not soundproof!

Expectations were not met...reviews and pictures online were very different than what the hotel offered. It was not in a great location, it was dirty, it smelled like mould, and it was far down a sketchy looking alley. We were unaware that there would be an external washroom (detached from our room), so when we got there we had a very small room and washroom across the hall. Thankfully they \"upgraded\" us to a larger room with washroom attached, which was right behind the reception and next to the breakfast area. The walls are NOT soundproof. They charged 30 euros for the 2 night upgrade. The lady at the desk was a pleasure to work with and was the hotel's only pro.

The only real issue was that the AC would not work and they told me there no other rooms available.
First world problem but I was expecting to come back to a nice cool room after walking around for 7 hours; it was was quite disappointing. Also nothing was offered as compensation for a missing major service that was a big part of chosing this hotel. I assume it has to do with booking through this site instead of booking directly. The hotel seems to have its hands tied.
There was also a little mold on the bathroom wall that needs to get cleaned up. Ventilation can be an issue in these older properties.

Great staff, fantastic location would stay again!

Half an hour from Marco Polo airport via water taxi (110 euros) and about 2 minutes walk from the main waterbus/taxi and station in Cannaregio, where you can organise trips to Murano etc. 25 minutes walk to St Mark's Square and surrounded by really great choice of restaurants and bars.

Hotel was really clean and the staff were incredibly helpful, rooms are compact but were really clean along with their own bathrooms. Breakfast was continental and ample with many choices. The only criticism would be that the beds were uncomfortable as they were rock hard. We were so shattered from our sightseeing and great food and Aperol Spritz that we still slept (just about) - for the price though it was the only negative in an overall great weekend and excellent value for money hotel.

You get what you pay for, a clean room with a clean bathroom was all I was after and that is what we got. There was a bit of mould in the bedroom behind the head board but since Venice floods on occasion it wasn't a surprise and how much time does someone spend in their room when in Venice.
Breakfast was a little dull it was a choice of a cold croissant, a bread roll and 2 cereals they should invest in a toaster.
Apart from that it was a good location, staff were great and I would probably stay there again.

When we checked in we were told we were \"upgraded\" to have a private bathroom - even though we were 150% certain we booked a private bathroom hotel room. Our first impression of the room was that there was a lot of squished mosquitos on the walls... And we found at least 4 that night in our room.
Bed was comfy but kept waking up from mosquito bites and having to hunt them down.

Stayed in this hotel because of proximity to Venice Santa Lucia station, and because most of the other hotels were fully booked. Small room, basic and dated. No kettle or safe. Air conditioned. Some mould in bath/shower. Luggage a need to be carried up stairs as there is no elevator. Very disappointing breakfast with one cold croissant per person, some cakes and yoghurt. Wifi repeatedly drops off.

Checked in quickly and politely. Many different reception staff, some very disinterested and bordering on rude.
Requested an extra pillow, as only one supplied on the bed, never arrived even after asking again. Was told there were none available!
Breakfast adequate, but not best quality.
The maid who seemed to do the rooms and the breakfast was run off her feet.
Didn't feel very welcome here and felt like we were an inconvenience, luckily we only spent a short time in the hotel basically for somewhere to sleep and have breakfast.
The hotel is fine, just need new staff and maybe a little more choice at breakfast.

We had a good stay in Venice in March 2015. The rooms however were super duper small and the worst part is that the rooms had dead mosquitoes on the ceiling. Secondly since it was early spring the AC didn't work so on opening the window more mosquitoes flew in and if we didn't open the small room got stuffy pretty quick.

Pro: Good proximity to station and a very friendly female receptionist who always greeted us with a big warm smile. Cons: small room and small toilet with bare toiletries, lack of a English channel on TV, limited quantity (one croissant per pax) and choices for breakfast were what we had to put up with. There was a blackout during one of the nights (lasted 20 mins) as one of the guests had apparently used some electrical equipment which broke the circuit fuse. Thankfully it was repaired soon after or else there would be no air-conditioning for the rest of the night.

Great location and friendly service

Chose this hotel for the location near the train station so we would not have to haul luggage all over venice. The hotel is basic and that's all we expected. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service and helpfulness of staff in particular the girl that was there to check us in. She was super helpful to us, giving directions and recommendations etc. the night porter also was pleasant even when letting us in at 2 am!
Overall, we were happy with what we got.

This hotel is overall good, especially for students travelling around the world. I could enjoy breakfast though bread was not so warm. The most concern was that the reception is located at the different building from the building which provides hotel rooms. And I could not open the door of the building which provides hotel rooms using my room key. That means whenever I needed to enter the hotel room, I had to stop by the reception desk and ask the hotel stuff to open the door. However, the overall quality of the hotel was nice. The accommodation fee was excellent. I will use this hotel once again, if I come to Venice alone.

Hotel in Venice

Many negatives - No elevator, No air conditioning (none after 10/1), Dirty street location, Split bed (two singles shoved together), No solid walls (just decorative drapes), Much noise (needed open street windows), Venice stinks, and the street was unlit at night. In spite of the general bad experience, they did serve a good (in all respects) breakfast.

Very central to train station, restaurants etc.
Room was spacious and clean.
Breakfast was fine but could be organized better. .. guests waiting on stairs, tables not cleaned quickly enough.
Would recommend for location and lovely young helpful girl at reception.

Great location

In a city thats a maze of bridges and cobblestones, it's good to have a hotel just a short walking distance from the station. Great restaurants close by and good access to Main Street that will take you all over the city. Average breakfast, slightly lumpy beds, but good value for money.

Superb economical Venice option

Great location only 5 mins from the train station, staff full of suggestions about how to make the best of your stay - just ask. Their restaurant recommendations were absolutely on the mark! Room small, but that was obvious when we booked, we weren't in Venice to hang out in our room! Breakfast so typically Italian (don't expect an English breakfast cause that is not where you are). Highly recommended!

Great, simple hotel next to the train station!

This hotel worked really well for us since we had a lot of luggage, and therefore wanted something close to the train station. The hotel and the rooms are simple (especially for the price), but this is Venice and so everything is expensive. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and friendly. When we asked them for a kettle to make some tea, they kindly brought a huge kettle with hot water prepared. You have to pay for internet access (1 hour = 4 Euro; 3 hours = 8 Euro) but if you want to access free internet, Brek Cafe round the corner offers free wifi for its patrons. The only con of this hotel was the free breakfast - it was quite bad, and this included the free coffee. The hotel could really benefit from spending a bit more on the quality of the breakfast supplies. Apart from that, we had a great stay, we were close to the train station, and the Ferrovia water bus stop, and it all worked out quite well. Would definitely recommend to people on a budget who want to stay closer to the train station.

Good location

The hotel is less than 5 mins walk from Venezia S.L train station and does not cross the bridge which might be difficult if you are carrying heavy luggage. Good thing that a friend of ours gave who stayed here before the exact location as you can miss the mini street of Misericordia at the left side. The room for 4 persons fit in 2 singles and 1 double but since we were out the whole day. it does not matter. The toilet and bath is big enough. Simple breakfast. Wifi is not free.
