We arrived late due to flight delays and the staff met us and even helped find us a restaurant still open! Great communication, excellent location, and nice apartment within 5 min walk of everything.

Very close to St. Mark's Basilica, and yet worlds away, Charming House IQs is a lovely apartment to stay in when visiting Venice. The staff was incredibly helpful in helping to arrange arrival and departure, and helpful with suggestions. The apartment's furnishings are a little dated, but still very clean and comfortable.

The location and accommodation itself were excellent. Close to everything while in a quieter zone. Accomodation was large and well laid out and the kitchen was an asset for breakfasts. Staff accommodated an earlier check in for us which was much appreciated after an overnight flight,

Great stay from beginning to end. The apartment was clean and spacious, easily accommodating two adults and a teenager. Perfectly situated on a quiet square, it's a quick walk (less than 10 minutes) to St. Mark's and the Rialto Bridge.

Katia, the property manager, reached out days before our arrival to see if she could help arrange transport from the train station. We took her up on that, and she arranged a private water taxi that took us directly to the apartment, where she greeted us at the gate. She is not on the property at all times but came back the following day when we locked our keys inside the apartment! She also arranged our transport -- another water taxi -- to the airport.

Host was great with communication including arranging water taxi from airport and then to train station to depart. Great location with a short walk to St Mark's square but far enough away it was kind of quiet. Was plenty of space for 5 of us. Was fun to be able to stand and watch the gondola's float by from the main living area.

The apartment was incredibly comfortable. The air, the wifi, the beds, all A quality!! The check in process was easy and the staff were super helpful. Rooms separate with a door which was great! Convenient to all shops and restaurants. You can catch a water taxi right outside the door! Beautiful.

Beautiful stay in Venice

We had a great stay at the Charming House iQs. Alexa was so welcoming and arranged a water taxi for us to reach the property and to get back to the airport at the conclusion of our trip. She had some maps ready to help us navigate the city and gave us a list of restaurants and other notable locations to see during our stay.

Highly recommended- perfect location!

Spacious, private apartments in a beautiful setting right on the canal and close to everything you need in Venice. The pictures on their website are accurate. Alexa is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and takes you in like a family member to make your holiday as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. And most importantly, KLM lost our suitcases when we arrived in Venice and Alexa and Tania went above and beyond in getting them to our room including calling the airport, lost luggage and the delivery service, waiting on the phone line, and ensuring we got our bags, which we finally did. They kept us up to date the whole time via WhatsApp. We were able to relax and enjoy Venice while they took care of those needs. Would absolutely recommend and will absolute return.

We staying at Charming House for only 1 night, but Alexa couldn't have been more kind and welcoming to us. She allowed us to drop all our luggage off with her hours before the apartment was ready so we could leave on a boat tour. She really took her time with us to give us some helpful tips on where to go in the area. We really appreciated this extra gesture. My family loved the apartment - it's right in the heart of Venice. You can look out a window and watch gondolas go by and people walking about. You can also close all the windows and shades and have some peace and quiet. The apartment was very clean and well kept. Lovely place and we hope to come back again for a longer stay!

Amazing apartment on canal

Amazing apartment right on canal. Very clean and comfortable. Alexa and staff were very friendly and informative. In quiet section so not too much outside noise. But just by walking about 50 meters you reach open area with restaurants.

An excellent choice for a family stay in Venice

We really enjoyed our stay at Charming House IQS. The location was perfect, within walking distance of just about everything worth seeing, and yet slightly out to the touristy hotel areas, such that we could enjoy a stroll to the local bakery, street markets, and restaurants. The suite itself was comfortable, clean, and well appointed for our stay, satisfactory to three children of diverse ages and interests. All in all, an excellent choice for any stay in Venice, of which I will avail upon my next visit.

The staff was extremely helpful and went out of there way to be of assistance. Although the room is in a 600 year old building. The room was modern and well appointed. In addition we like the fact that when we left our hotel room. We exited over a small bridge and into a courtyard. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel.

Nice apartment, but a dark unit

First of all, this is an apartment, not a boutique hotel. It was difficult to find and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come and open it up. They spoke limited English, so there was some confusion the first evening. The next day Tania came in the morning with croissants and explained everything to us. She was very helpful and charming. She is only there a couple of hours in the morning, so you are pretty much on your own. Our unit was roomie, however dark inside and only 1 bathroom has enough light to apply make up in it. It was fun in that we were right on a canal and could watch/hear as the boats & gondoliers went past.

Very well appointed modern hotel suite within a beautiful old building that is ideally situated for San Marco & Realto. We had views over a canal & enjoyed watching the gondolas & other boats going past. Staff were very friendly & welcoming with very good english & the suite was serviced every day. We were treated with a bottle of wine on arrival & the night before departing & delicious croissants every morning, and bottled water was provided. The suite had a small kitchen area with fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, hob & oven. The shower cubicle was large with a powerful shower. The lounge area had a comfy sofa & TV. The bed was kingsize & very comfortable. Couldn't fault it & hope to return & stay here again.

Hotel staff were very friendly. Also helpful with making dinner arrangements and finding our way around Venice. Location is superb, close to main attractions yet just far enough away to feel less touristy. We will stay there again if we return to Venice.

This is not a Hotel

Charming IQ is a gem , these are appartmete ver well decorated, Tania an Katherina were extremely helpful and with incredible sense of service . Is very well located close to San Marcos Plaza and the Rialto. The kitchen is very well equipped and they included coffee, Panetone and a Proseco which we enjoyed . Fully recommended .

A wonderful Venice experience

The apartment is very central and in a pretty location yet a little away from the busy tourist area. It's in a lovely old building with a private bridge but is decorated in a modern, stylish way. It's warm and comfortable.
Although it's an apartment we felt very well looked after by Katharina who was there every morning and very friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that other hotel staff made restaurant bookings for us before we arrived.

Beautiful boutique apartments in fantastic locatio

Pros:
- high end boutique hotel apartment with full kitchen and living room; you're given keys to the entire premises to let yourself in and out of gates, doors, etc.
- beautiful location right by center san marco but in a super quiet back canal, right on the water
- very private, quiet, luxe; no hordes of tourists around
- lovely helpful staff (when they're there!)

cons:
- no room service, no breakfast other than some croissants brought to you; no staff on call. if you want to be waited on hand and foot, this is not the place for you.

'Amazing Location'

We only stayed in the home for one night, but we were very happy we chose this home. Tonya (pls forgive me if the name is not right) was AMAZING. She went above and beyond her duties. She made sure we were comfortable, gave us great recommendations, advised on what we should be charged on certain attractions so that we weren't over charged. She went as far as coming in before her start time to since we had an early departure and brought us croissants so that we could have an 'Italian Breakfast'. She was the best...!

Great location, Great accomodation

We visited late September 2017. First this is a great location, arriving by Water Taxi was totally the way to do it! You're right in the middle of everything 5 mins walk to St Mark's Basilica. The team were very welcoming and friendly, the warm croissant's they brought us every morning were a real treat!

The apartment was lovely too, nicly decorated and furnished in a modern style, windows directly overlooking a canal just an arms reach below. No issues with the room at all, everything worked, everything in its place. Clean towels and a tidy-up service everyday also a great thing to have in an apartment let.

Would definnately return here - and for longer than the weekend we used the apartment for.

Great location, large room

We booked the iqs suite, and found the room to be huge. The bed is quite firm, but otherwise it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable, being only five minutes from Piazza San Marco and ten minutes from Rialto. The neighborhood is quiet, and off the main tourist trail.

Staff is not at the reception 24/7 since it's really a cluster of apartments for rent rather than a full service hotel, but as long as you let them know when you're arriving, someone from the sister property DD724 will be there to check you in.

You have to go there, Tanya is very special everything with a genuine smile and happy to help, we were slightly lost and she came out to find us, over and above her duties.
The room was lovely everything you needed windows opened onto canal stunning...very magical experience defiantly go back and would highly highly recommend. Location was great short walk to everything

Looked Good, but Disappointing....

Pretty little place in a great location, it just did not live up to our expectations or their promises to us. For the money, would have rather stayed someplace else with management on site, a/c throughout, truly non-smoking, reliable free wi-fi, and breakfast/ other arrangements as were initially promised. One of the rooms had clearly been smoked in, which was an health issue for one of us. Promised arrangements did not materialize, although everyone was friendly and kind. Given 2 sets of room keys for 4 people, which was hard if people wanted to go off on their own. One of us got locked out on the front courtyard, no one could help, got completely stranded. If it had just been my husband and I, probably not so much of a big deal, but there were others in our group, and overall it put a damper on our stay. I just don't like broken promises. If you can't deliver, don't make the promised arrangements.

Perfect location for a honeymoon

We travelled to Europe for our honeymoon, staying in Venice for 3 nights in April.
IQs is quite difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area but once you're inside it's the cutest little hidden gem.
The location is close to St Marks and with great little restaurants scattered close by.
The room is spacious enough by European standards with a double shower. Although the room we stayed in one of the showers didn't work. The floor tile/drain may need to be changed as it's a bit rocky standing on it. But overall the bathroom is pleasant and clean.
The reception is cool with it's own canal entrance. Would recommend getting a private taxi in and out of the hotel back to the airport port.
The staff are very lovely and so helpful. In particular Caterina. We needed help with topping up the credit for our sim and Caterina went out of our way to guide us to the supermarket, spoke to the cashier and loaded the credit onto the phone for us. We did not get a chance to write our thanks in the guest book but would like to say a huge thanks to Caterina for your incredible service and we will be recommending this hotel to all our friends!!! We enjoyed our stay immensely. Will definitely come back.

Best Hotel in Venice!

My fiancée and I booked one of the suites for 2 nights and the room, location and staff were absolutely fantastic.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all (and have already done so to friends), as the staff really make your stay special, as they are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. They ask you to treat the hotel as your own home and they really do mean it.

We will certainly be back!

Mr and Mrs in Venice!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. We thought the location was fantastic, very central yet away from the crowds.. We stayed in the small double room that had an inter-connecting door, however, it was very quiet and peaceful at the hotel so this was not an issue. The room was done in a modern, contemporary look and was sympathetic to the original design... It was a little dark in the bathroom as other people have mentioned although it didn't cause any problems putting my make up on! Also just be aware there was no bath just a double shower. The hotel staff were very welcoming and so helpful, giving us lots of tips and advice.. They booked us a return trip in a water taxi to the airport which cost us 110 euros and they picked us up right from the hotel private pier which actually is in the reception.. Very cool...

The overall feel was like living in your own luxury apartment in Venice and we would definitely recommend this to our friends and family!
