The room we had was small but it has everything you need, coffee and television and the most comfortable beds! The best part of the hotel is its location, close to everything.

This hotel is beautiful, like Venice, and in a great location. However, the staff was outstanding and made this an exceptional stay. Great attitudes, friendly, and extremely helpful. I believe Elianna is one of the names (apologies if I messed that up) but all of the others were great.
Booked two tours during the stay, one with the hotel and another online. The hotel-recommended tour was way better and very reasonably priced. The tour guide's name is Serena. Very nice and animated.
Watched an NFL game on a computer in the hidden courtyard very late at night. The person at the desk instantly became the bartender. Served us drinks, turned on the heater, all with a smile.
Regretted leaving, and hope to get a chance for another stay there someday.

This hotel was out of this world! It captures the feeling of \"Old World Venice\" perfectly. The decor, the vibe, and the building itself are just stunning. It felt unbelievable to stay in such a historic and beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and soaked in charm. If you want a fairytale experience that feels authentic rather than touristy, you have to stay here. 10/10!

All of the staff we encountered were incredibly accommodating and helpful.The location is right on one of the many canals and it was only a five minute walk with our leg to the aerobus transportation. There are a lot of shops and restaurants right around it. The breakfast provided was very delicious. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others as well.

Wonderful stay, staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed in the annexe which was lovely bright and airy with a small lounge and garden area. The annexe was only about 20 steps over a little bridge from the main hotel, had a secure pin coded door and was lovely and quiet. Our room had a lavazza coffee pod machine with a selection of coffees filled up daily along with a shaded terrace area which was very welcome in August. The whole hotel was spotless, i didnt see a speck of dust - amazing for a 3 star hotel compared to UK standards. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a variety to choose from including pastries, cold meats, cheese and a variety of breads with plenty of strong italian coffee to wash it down. Location was perfect, really central just a few minutes walk to St. Marks square and the grand canal for catching a vaporetto or a gondola.

I felt like a princess staying in this room. The chandelier in the bathroom probably cost more than my house! We stayed in the annex and had a beautiful terrace to relax on. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning felt great after being out in the sun. It was also very close to the square and the dock where you get dropped off. We only had to walk about 2 blocks with our luggage. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a hidden gem. Our Google maps couldn’t find this hotel. Found out later on there is another hotel casa Verardo and another casa verardo close by. So spell out the entire hotel name so you don’t get lost while hauling the luggage.

This hotel location is excellent and 2-3 min walk to St. Marks square. San Zaccaria, when you can get water buses and water taxis, is 5 min walk from this hotel. The only reason I rated it low is that during our stay the AC didn’t work appropriately and with small rooms, it was a bit uncomfortable stay. Otherwise, the hotel is clean, well behaved staff, decent breakfast and quiet rooms.

Wonderful hotel! Can’t say enough about how good this hotel is. It’s minutes away from St Marks square, near a small and beautiful canal. It’s also very close to the vaporetto station, we were did an easy 5 minute walk from the station to the hotel.
The rooms are renovated, great beds, and a quiet area. Breakfast is great.

This hotel came highly recommended by a friend. It is ideally situated 5 minutes' walk from Piazza San Marco, and the water buses at San Zaccaria which can rake you to the airport in an hour, or to the Santa Lucia train station in 30 minutes. Breakfast is available, served in the palatial first floor dining room by quiet helpful staff. Fresh fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, are all avaliable on b and b basis, but a la carte dishes come at a price and include smoked salmon, avocado, and omelettes cooked to order. The rooms are serviced daily, with fresh towels. A tiny lift takes you up to your room. Our small twin room on the 3rd floor was clean and adequately furnished, and the beds were comfy, but the bathroom needed updating. The shower was over the bath and there was no hand rail to help get in and out, and no slip mat. The nightmare hair dryer was a tube attached to the wall, activated by pulling on it, but pulling on it made it come off the wall and stop.working! It also had extremely low power, so bring your own haurdryer! The front desk staff were extremely helpful and chatty, and provided maps and recommendations of restaurants close by for dinner. They will print off documents if needed. There is a 'garden\" on the ground floor, but it is just a small courtyard with a bench and a few plants. There is a little bar by the entrance for aperitifs or nightcaps, but it was always empty, and we got the impression it was more for the night staff to sleep in!

We got a junior suite for our family of 4. It was on the 3rd floor with a Queen bed, and 2 twin beds. It was very tight as there wasn't much space to spread out. It was fine for a couple of nights but not more than that...unless you have small children or a couple. The location was good as we were able to find good restaurants and the main attractions are nearby. Close to the waterbus/vaporetto station as it was only 5 mins walk from the S. Zaccaria station.

Location is great (sort of a hidden gem actually) room a bit tired and no great view but I am being a bit picky as i didn't spend much time in the room or looking out of the window. i have stayed in Venice many times and at the big name 5 star places but this would rate highly against them. No fuss no drama just quiet efficient clean and as a big endorsement from me .. I would stay there again...

We decided not to use at his hotel. All news media and even city of Venice warned about conditions on the ground due to unusually severe floods. However hotel staff kept saying the hotel was ready to receive us. We contacted hotel several times about alternate options as we were concerned about safety as I was traveling with my family. But they appeared more interested in forfeiture of deposit vs safety of their customer. Even Expedia was very accommodating and helped us significantly but hotel staff was not being reasonable. I would not recommend anyone dealing with hotel staff that does not bother about customers safety.
