Bug problems on the top floor would be main concern. Roach/beetles come out of holes in the tiles in the bathrooms, mosquitos find their way in as well, maybe a once over with some sealant would be beneficial for future guests. Everything else was excellent, no complaints at all, good location

Its location is superb! 5 min walking distance to Clock Tower and Dodge Pallace. The surrounding are has many good local dining options, too. The room and linen was clean. The room was not spacy, but was acceptable for us, as a small family and for short stay. Spent most of our time outside.

Although this hotel has air conditioning, it can only be set to 19 degrees Celsius, and after asking, we were told it could not be adjusted. You are forced to choose between enduring the scorching summer heat or the freezing air conditioning, which is a very uncomfortable experience, especially since they only provide one very thin comforter (and even when we asked for an extra blanket, we were refused).

Furthermore, if you leave the hotel during the day, you must return the key and pick it up again when you return, which makes no sense and is somehow inconvenient.

We went to Venice in May and this hotel was right in the middle of the action. Conveniently close to water bus station and St. Mark's square. Staff was friendly and attended to all our needs. However, it was lacking in a lot of room amenities. No water or coffee was provided.
Drinking cups were plastic and barely stood up when filled. Airconditioning was not turned on and room was too hot. It's a good thing the staff provided us with an electric fan. I would find a different hotel if I were to return to Venice in the future.

Very dated property, too hot, I was unable to sleep and was told air con is not working. Roof terrace- only reason I booked this place- was not available and I was not given a reason as to why. Musty smell in the room. Terrible drain smell when the upstairs toilet was being flushed. Breakfast very limited and not very good quality.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Lovely hotel, rooms were very clean and were warm despite cold temperatures outside. Most of the staff were very friendly. Nice terrace outside for the better weather. Location couldn't be better, everything you need nearby and only minutes from Piazza San Marco. Considering Venice is an expensive city to stay in, this hotel represents good value for money.

We had an incredibly comfortable stay, with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff went above and beyond, always accommodating, polite, and respectful. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk to everything you might need, from lively bars and cozy cafes to great restaurants. Even if you don’t speak the local language, it’s no problem as everyone speaks English. We stayed in Room 302, which was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a private terrace with a table, chairs, and a lounger, making it the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and we would highly recommend it.

Only one star. Booked the exclusive room #303. A strong sewer smell from bathroom filled entire room. The only remedy was to close the bathroom door and keep the bad smell there but then when entering the bathroom door we got nauseous every time. I put the wet towel over a shower drain and that helped little bit but overnight the smell seeped in anyway. The first front desk person said that that is normal in all Venice hotels but he sent a technician up there. The technician didn’t fix it.
Anyway this kind of experience killed anything nice I could say about the hotel. Actually the blacony was nice because we had a nice view and we could escape the stench.

The AC didn’t work. Not ideal when you’re on 4 th floor. So we had to open windows however, no screens on windows so tons of mosquitoes and left with multiple bites. No elevator for first floor and last floor. Maybe that’s common in Venice but kinda inconvenient when you’re carrying suitcases. And no coffee… in Venice… sorry instant decaf. What even. Then you have to pay 1 euro to get one downstairs. They ask to leave your key at front desk and when we come back they just give you the key back without asking ID, a staff member we hadn’t yet met. Huge security risk. And not waterfront as advertised by Expedia. Or even a view of waterfront.

Cutest, sweetest, most delightful property. This was our third time there. Tiny room and bathroom but clean and with excellent air conditioner. Good WiFi, good enough cell reception. Staff were wonderful, helpful, and responsive. Breakfast very nice. Stairs to enter hotel, but have stair lift. Close to Piazza San Marco and the Vaporetto docks. Easy to walk everywhere as well.

NOT Ada compliant. Several stairs up to lobby. The hand rail electric “lift” was not operational. I had to climb the stairs backwards on my hands and bottom. Humiliating.

The pictures make the property look luxurious and much larger than it is. Room was time, no air and there was an elevator but you had to climb 20 steps to get to the elevator. Then our room was on the same floor as the front d so, you had to go up two stairs, down three. My point not easy for those with mobility issues and lugging suitcases. The good thing is the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Excellent stay at Antigo

The hotel staff were very friendly, there’s a 24hr concierge which is wonderful, the facilities were great, the optional breakfast was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was high quality. We all commented on how well we slept. The location is great too, 5 minute walk from St. Marks square with some nice cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

The room was small but comfortable. Good shower and bath facility and the balcony was an amazing bonus.

The major drawback was the entrance - a flight of marble stairs leading to the second story entrance (with no doorman or assistance). Traveling for over a month we had four bags - this was a real struggle with the rain.

It’s clean but our room had a very strong chlorine or chlorux smell.
The staff was pleasant enough but no one offered to help us carry our luggage up the steps, which was a big hurdle for us up to the reception area. There is a lift to the next floor, thank goodness.

We stayed one night pre cruise. The location was perfect -just minutes from Saint Mark’s. It was very easy to find from San zaccaria taxi stop. The room was comfortable with a large bathroom. Breakfast was not included but there are many options close by. The concierge was very helpful with transportation and dining information.

This was right next to the water taxi drop off so we didn’t have to drag our bags far at all. I had requested a bathtub ( honestly that is the reason I booked it) the manager said I didn’t request it and when he pulled out my reservation to prove it to me it said clear as day Bathtub). Other than that small glitch it was close to everything. Rooms looked just like the pictures. Venice is wonderful and I will go again. This is my 3rd time to go.

The best thing about this hotel is its location just a few streets from San Marco. Of course it gives you easy access to dining an shopping, but it also helps you find your way home. As you wander around Venice, there are signs pointing you to San Marco. Simply follow the signs, head to water, go across a bridge, then make a left on the second street and you’re there! It’s also just up the street from a water taxi stop!
The hotel appears to have been completely refurbished recently. What I didn’t like about this hotel was the charges for things: a euro for a cup of coffee, 12 euros for breakfast even though the hotel-provided map claimed breakfast was always free!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, only five minutes walk to St Marks Square and about three minutes from the Vaperetto so the walk with your suitcase is easy. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we were lucky enough to have a large room on the third floor (305).
The room was spotlessly clean and had tea/coffee makings. Although there is no bar or restaurant there are literally dozens of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. For the money this was excellent and we were really pleased we stayed there.

So surprised by this hotel. Got a really good rate at the last minute. Wasn’t at all sure how it would turn out, but absolutely loved our stay. Room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Nice to have a double size shower after hotel rooms in London and Paris had tiny showers. Pleasantly surprised that our room had a balcony. We were able to enjoy it for a bit—wish the weather had been better to really take advantage. You can’t beat the location. An easy and quick walk from the waterbus stop and then less than a 3 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Bed was really comfortable. We did the hotel breakfast one day and it was fine. Hotel staff was really helpful and nice. Property is clean. Absolutely loved our stay and would stay here again.

Bad stay. So many mosquitoes in our room

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. The poor rating is due to the massive amount of mosquitos in our room. We weren’t in our room for very long, but killed a total of 20 mosquitos! We did complain to the front desk, and I think they sprayed the room some and left some spray for us, but that did not remove the issue. One or two mosquitos is understandable, but 20 is definitely a problem. Other than the mosquito issue, the hotel would be pretty good. It has a really great location, nice staff, and comfortable furnishings. But the mosquito infestation really made it a bad stay :(

Great stay in convenient location.

I had to find a hotel to stay in last minute after the friends I was travelling with hadn't told me they were leaving Venice earlier than I was. Hotel decor is lovely, room is very small but this wasn't a problem. Hotel staff gave great directions to local tours and this place was really close to catch the water bus to the airport so I didn't have far to haul my suitcase.

This hotel is close to St. Marco's Square area without being overly expensive. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent and convenient for 10 Euros (for some reason the rate I got did not include breakfast). Hotel staff were present 24 hours a day and very, very helpful. On our last day, holding our luggage until we were ready to depart Venice was not a problem and free. As with most of Venice, take a look at Google Maps to get your bearings on where the hotel is located and what the entrance looks like to save time with your luggage in tow. Would stay here again.

Grand canal within 100 yards and a short stroll to San Marco. Water buses easy to use but we actually walked the route from Piazzale Roma to hotel within half an hour. Hotel was 60 seconds from ‘bridge of sigh’
Breakfast continental style buffet for €10 good value for money.
We had room 401 which gave great rooftop views.
Lovely little hotel with friendly staff would return here for sure.

The location of the property was excellent and offered everything we needed. The room size was smaller than expected however the wonderful private terrace made up for that. Florencia, at the front desk, went above and beyond to help us with printing off needed documents. The hotel was just steps from the water taxi and was to easy to locate upon arrival.

Cheap but not again.

Good area and friendly staff. But the bed was really uncomfortable and the walls of the room were soooo thin! You can hear everything. I was woken up my second night at 3 am by a couple having a \"good time\" in their room. There was alot of screaming and moaning and went on for over an hour.
Also the floors were not so clean..
Probably wont go here again because of the noice-levels.
