My friend and I stayed only one night. The room was okay, I find the room outdated specifically the carpet, there's dirt and floor was bit properly mop, and there's a distinct smell like sour near the closet and AC. About 10 mins walk from Little Italy ( all restaurant restaurant no shops).

I wasn’t able to sleep there was a large group of people outside my room laughing and talking loud outside my room till very well past 2am. I called multiple times to the front desk and they said they would send someone but they never did.
The weekend before I came for a wedding toilet and sink were clogged. They were able to unclogged the toilet and work have at least water run down slowly in the sink. They had no other rooms available for me. They comped my parking and breakfast, they apologized for the inconvenience. Towards the end of my stay the toilet started to act up again.

Sadly I won’t be giving another chance to this hotel. The reason is because I asked for a Guest Folio when I checked out and they said I would receive it to my email, but the one for the first stay.

Also parking is horrible, and I know I was comp the breakfast but is definitely not worth it.

I do have to say the gentleman who came in to fix the toilet was very respectful and very helpful. As well as the ladies in the breakfast area during my first stay. I also had a lovely chat on my way down with one of the cleaning ladies. They were all very nice.

I will never stay at this place again. Bar was closed. No jacuzzi. They will only clean your room every other day so get ready to clean your own room and make your own bed. We ran out of toilet paper so had track down a housekeeper. We needed her for fresh towels and tissue paper as well. The day they were supposed to clean our room, they were a no show. Had to call front desk for room cleaning and fresh towels. I do not want to work when I’m on vacation. You can stay at a nicer place with all the amenities for just as much as this one. Stay clear!

We stayed at the Dextro Hotel in Little Italy for one night, and overall it was an average stay. It met our basic need for a place to sleep, and the location was very convenient. The lobby was nice, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately, the hotel showed signs of wear and tear and could benefit from better housekeeping. We noticed spills and sticky, dirty footprints in the elevators, and our room wasn't as clean as expected. The floors were unswept, the bathroom sink was grimy and partially clogged, and some of the furniture and decor were dusty and looked worn.

The shower included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but the conditioner dispenser was empty when we arrived. It was disappointing that this wasn't checked before a new guest checked in.

The hotel offers breakfast each morning, but at $25 per person we felt it was overpriced. We opted to eat elsewhere since there are plenty of affordable breakfast options nearby.

On-site parking was convenient but steep at $45 per day. Another downside was the elevators. There are only two serving the guest rooms and parking garages, and they were often crowded, resulting in long waits nearly every time we needed to go up or down.

Overall, this was not a five-star experience, but it served its purpose for a short overnight stay. The staff and location were positives, but improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and attention to detail would make for a much better guest experience.

I had a wonderful experience at the DEXTRO HOTEL in the Little Italy area of San Diego. The staff is absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The rooms are clean, updated, and very comfortable, and the pricing is affordable for such a great stay. I would highly recommend DEXTRO HOTEL to anyone visiting San Diego!

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. When I checked into my room, I discovered that one of the beds was wet with what appeared to be urine. In addition, the carpet throughout the room had a strong urine odor. This was unacceptable and made the room feel unsanitary and uncomfortable.

I expected a clean and properly inspected room before check-in, but that was clearly not the case. The condition of the room greatly affected my stay and left me with a very poor impression of the hotel. I hope management takes steps to improve housekeeping standards and room inspections to prevent this from happening to future guests.
They gave me another room, but it still didn't feel very clean; it smelled like urine, too. I do not recommend this hotel.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers should be aware of my experience.
Before arriving, I requested an early check-in because I had an early flight and wanted to ensure a smooth start to my stay. Unfortunately, despite planning ahead and communicating my request, I ended up waiting nearly four hours for my room to become available. During that time, communication from the hotel was extremely limited, and I received very few updates regarding the status of my room.
After waiting for hours, I was finally given access to my room only to discover that it had not been properly cleaned. At that point, I was exhausted from traveling and frustrated that the room was not ready despite the extended delay. This significantly impacted my stay and reduced the amount of time I was able to enjoy the accommodations and amenities I had paid for.
What was most disappointing was not just the delay itself, but the overall handling of the situation. Delays can happen, and no hotel is perfect. However, guests deserve clear communication, properly prepared rooms, and a resolution that reflects the inconvenience experienced. Unfortunately, I did not feel that happened in this case.
The property ultimately offered a small amount of compensation, but considering the lengthy wait and the condition of the room, I do not believe it adequately reflected the impact these issues had on my stay.
I hope management takes steps to improve communication, housekeeping standards,

Parking is available for a charge
Elevator is available but spend 10+ mins waiting for it.
No vanity kit, no extra bathroom items even if 2-3 people are staying. Ideally in other 2/3/4 stars hotels they keep more based on the number of people staying but here it wasn't that way.

My only complaint is the mattress. I usually love a soft pillow-top bed, but this one was so soft that it offered almost no support. It felt like sleeping on a waterbed (minus the water). Unfortunately, I woke up with my back feeling wrecked for a couple days.

If you have any back issues or don’t sleep well on uber soft mattresses , you may want to look elsewhere until the mattresses are replaced. Otherwise, it’s a solid budget-friendly option.

The remote didn’t work, the phone didn’t work, and we had to ask for more towels by calling on my phone to the front desk and they told us house keeping comes every other day but never actually came to clean the room. The parking was a mess and I had to pay $45 a night. The breakfast was included but the day we came down for breakfast the lady said it wasn’t and she had to check at the front desk to make sure. We tried to go 2 more times but all the food was pretty much gone by 9am.

This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that doesn't offer room cleaning for stays of up to three days. Every other hotel I've visited provided daily housekeeping, including cleaning the room, changing the sheets, replacing towels, and removing used ones.

The toilet also became clogged during our stay. Although maintenance responded quickly and fixed it with a plunger, it was still very inconvenient.

Another downside was the parking fee of $45 per day, which I found excessive.

On our last day, I had breakfast at the hotel. It was a simple meal of eggs and bacon, but about 30 minutes after leaving, I became very sick. I'm not sure whether it was a stomach bug or if the food wasn't fresh, but it was an unpleasant way to end the stay.

This is a great budget hotel . Bed was super comfy, room was nice for what you pay and they let me do early check in which was nice . It’s in the middle of downtown and right off the 5 so it’s a little noisy outside at times . If that bothers you or you prefer it to be more quiet I suggest staying elsewhere . Otherwise my only complaint was the parking costs . It’s pretty pricy at $35 a day but that seems consistent with most other hotels located in the area .

The room we had faced the fwy, it was way too noisy. One staff out of three that I somewhat had interactions with was nice another was decent. Lack of interaction with one was because he didn’t seem to see me in line to check out and he opted to help the party in line (if there was one) behind me. Property and room was clean and conveniently located, but too close to the fwy. Parking lot was fine, smelled like weed when I drove in. I did like that we were able to walk to Little Italy. Again, room was clean. I stayed at 613 and the other party 913, 3 stories above. Even though I book both rooms together they were not able to get us any closer (I checked in first and lady who checked me in said she would be able to get us on the same floor but not adjacent). We both enjoyed the sunset view and the gas station and freeway and cars racing at night.

Staff was very kind but there were multiple issues throughout our stay.

1. There was only 1 elevator that worked for the entirety of our stay, which is ridiculous for 3 days.
2. The room had no mirrors other than the bathroom.
3. The room had terrible lighting.
4. The telephone in the room was not connected to a working line. In order to get in touch with staff we had to call on our personal cell phones.
5. We also noticed that out by the pool there was a bee hive, which flooded the pool and surrounding area with active bees.
6. We were also charged a $30 daily parking fee, absolutely insane for guests staying at the facility.
7. It was very concerning about the transients in the area, definitely didn’t feel safe walking around the neighborhood.

I wouldn’t recommend or return to this property in future.

If I could rate this hotel zero stars I would. There’s no way it should be considered a premier hotel. For starters there was only one working elevator for a 14 floor building so many people like myself had to use the stairs because when the elevator would finally come to you it would be full. I was on the 6th floor and it was very inconvenient to have to go up and down every time to get to my room. The room looked like they shined up a turd, there was nothing nice about it. It smelled like someone had smoked in it before and you could hear everything through the walls and outside. It sounded like the window was open it was so loud during the night. The staff were not helpful or friendly and the pool looked like something from a motel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially considering it was 180$ a night.
