the room temperature was a problem, it was too hot and the air con-which turned very noisy, not terribly efficient and did not remain on, it turned itself off after 1-2h and the room became very hot 23 degrees. it prevented sleep. (I prefer 18-19 degrees. no windows opened. It was reported
The location of this hotel is excellent, the staff are really helpful. I would only stay again if I had a guarantee about a functional and effective AC or a room where a window opened.

The room was lovely, everything as described.
Only improvements would be; not being allowed to have your own food from outside the premises, particularly when the onsite restaurants do not cater to your tastes (e.g. no ceviche or similar dishes).
The pool was also not lit up in the evening so it was a bit scary after dark and not inviting.

The room we stayed in had a beautiful sea view and was well equipped with all you need. There was an iron and a small ironing board, a kettle with tea/coffee/sugar although i wish i had taken my own teabags as the tea was chamomile tea.
The hot shower was amazing and the room was provided with two bathribes and slippers. Basic amenties were available such as shower gel, toothpaste and brush, a small comb, shwoer cap and body cream. We were staying as a couple however there was only one toothbrush.
The hotel has an amazing infinity pool on the top floor with a wonderful sea view. There is a fully equipped gym and a sauna available to use included in the price of the stay.... This was the best part for me!
I didnt try out the food at the restaurant so i cannot comment.
A very pleasant stay and woukd definitely visit again

Room was comfortable but quite noisy as could hear the people in the rooms next to us. Very clean with nice amenities.
The staff we encountered were all very rude! I have never experienced this before. From check in to check out, they were rude. The older woman on the desk especially had a bad attitude and the man practically threw the room keys at us. For this reason, I wouldn’t return.

The bathroom door was so close to the song that I could not open the door unless i completely step away ajar it all the way and then go in and close it feels super inconvenient and awkward nobody else can use the sink…. That took one star away

Second for me was the coffee machine was so poorly placed inside a shelf that you can not fill it with water u less you physically take the whole coffe maker out loaded and put it back in, not to mention that was not. Even a place to put it 😩 completely unusable

We will give our stay here a WOW! We checked in and were given a room on the top 26th floor with incredible views! Our room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, large rainfall shower and other amenities. We enjoyed the pool on the 23rd floor, also with awesome views of the ocean. The water temperature was warm and comfortable! We did pay extra for the breakfast buffet for all three days. It was excellent with a huge variety of breakfast foods, meats, salad, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. There are coffee machines with a wide choice of drinks plus several choices of different juices next to it. Pastries are also available. The buffet is a great value.
The Diagonal Mar (3 floors of mall) is next door with 200+ stores and a large variety of restaurants. The beaches are a few minutes away within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Hotel is located in a safe neighborhood with easy access to transportation. Property is clean, close to shopping and restaurants. It has nice views for the city and ocean. Beach is close by and walkable. Overall, stay was pleasant.

Maintenance staff need to remember to lock the room after doing work in the room. It happened twice during my stay where the room was left open after they completed the work. The 3 Euro service fee to deliver a fork to the room seemed ridiculous.

Very nice modern hotel. In quieter business area, but hop on hop off bus stop in front of hotel. Next to huge shopping mall. Not many authentic restaurants in area. We booked superior room with terrace. It was a high floor corner room and had great sea and city views!

The hotel is about 5 minutes from the beaches and close to the tram and metro. But it is more of a city centre feeling, and less quaint and euro feeling than other parts of Barcelona. The beds are comfy but the rooms are kind of dark, specifically the bathroom. The elevators are also very slow. The bartenders at the lobby bar, front desk staff and security are very nice.

Overall really nice stay. Excellent staff and location. Some building work going on and a large music festival that we were not advised about but overall good experience. Design of hotel and rooms really nice but the small details about wall quality and lack of finishing and attention to detail let it down ever so slightly but would I stay again - YES!!

The positives: large room, huge and comfy bed, good breakfast.
The negatives: the bathroom design is insane: a noisy magnetic lock door that doesn’t reach the ceiling. The aircon situation is ridiculous. They clearly centrally override it and the room never goes below 23. To keep it even below 25 takes many hours. But also they take away the second key if you keep aircon running. I can’t imagine staying there in July-August.

We stayed here for a hen party, hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, good location, has 2 small swimming pools, restaurant, bars, staff were friendly.
I had booked twin bedded rooms as we were staying 3 nights and some of the girls didn’t know each other. However upon check in they were trying to give double bedded rooms and said they didn’t confirm twin rooms - but I had confirmation via hotels.com. It was resolved in the end and got our twin rooms.
The bathrooms are quite open, so not much privacy, which is fine for a couple/family but a bit awkward with friends. Some even had no doors on the toilet!

Overall I would stay again but maybe with my husband…

Oh and limited Gluten free options, I had a salad for lunch.

Well before making the reservation we called at the hotel that we need the room to be side by side or infront of each other as we got kids in a separate room and it would be good. We were made sure that it will be done and we can book the room.
I had been communicating with the hotel via expedia messges and staff responded always postitve. On the day we reached we found out the rooms are on two different ends on the same floor.
Before making reservations we also asked that we need separated invoice for both rooms and they said yes it is possible and we should speak to manager .
On the day the guy at the reception was not belpful at all infact had a very changed tone . For an hour of arguments nothing was solved we were put in the distant rooms.
Rest the room has good views
Breakfast was good value
Cleanings are at the 5 star
There is no kettle in room
And if you ask them empty plates they want uou to pay 3 euros as per which was ridiculous.
Good points they let us check out late greatful for them
Over all staff is good but i love the ladies who clean the rooms . They deserve bonus.

The Hotel Barcelona Princess was extremely good value for the cost paid.
The staff were friendly and attentive especially Roberto, Ryan and Francesca in the Lobby Bar. The hotel facilities were second to none with two swimming pools, an excellent full service restaurant and wellness spa.
The hop on, hop off city tour bus stopped right outside the hotel which was a convenient and cost effective way to see everything Barcelona had to offer. Our room was comfortable and generous in size. Our stay was awesome and we will definitely return sometime in the future.

My wife and I had a very nice stay at hotel barcelona princess. It was closely located to the metro which made it very convenient to access all.parts of the city. It is also one of the stops for the hop on hop off bus which was great for us since we had several hours to kill before we could check in . Overall it was a great hotel with nice amenities and a free mini bar in the room which was replenished daily. Also, tho it wasnt cheap, it was comparable in price to similar advertised hotels.

We had a great stay - the staff were friendly and the hotel had everything we needed. The pools were lovely and warm (in April) and not too crowded during the time we were there. The sauna was a great addition too. It’s right next to a great shopping centre with loads of food options, and a short walk to a lovely beach, as well as close to team, metro and bus stops into the city centre. We also stayed during the electricity blackout, and need not have worried as the hotel ran a backup generator to ensure there was a working lift, rooms and safes were accessible, hot food was available, you could charge your phone downstairs in the lobby and an ATM was on hand to get cash out which eased our stress a lot. The only complaints we had were the room had a bad smell quite a bit of the time, but this weirdly stopped when the electricity went off - we wonder whether it’s something to do with a ventilation system, but we’ve also seen other reviews mention this. The lifts were also very slow during busy times, so leave plenty of time to get downstairs if you’ve got somewhere to be! Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next time we visit Barcelona.

Also there was a smell from the drain in the shower but we figured out that standing the bin over it kept the smell from room. Staff friendly and helpful. Complementary mini bar was a nice touch.

The hotel room setup meant we had to take two rooms and there's no adjoining rooms
There's 4 or 5 different dining options and I was staggered to see each had a different menu. We only ate at the lobby bar and no complaints. The cocktails are great.

Usual wait for lifts but nothing bad to say

A pool wasn't a priority but they have two. 23rd floor one is always super busy. 3rd floor one was fine for me and my daughter to swim.

The rooms are a good specification, comfortable beds, nice shower and wc in separate rooms.

Location is away from most of the better dining options and the main sites.
Google led us to some very dingy areas looking for food. Metro is essential.
Super close to the better beaches.

Just returned from a brilliant week at the Barcelona Princess. The hotel was very modern and impeccably clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the complimentary water and drinks in the mini bar.

The rooftop pool was heated and had amazing views over Barcelona.

The location of the hotel was perfect with the shopping mall next door and metro close by, on a direct line to the city centre. There is also a beach only a few minutes walk away.

The only aspect of our stay I could fault is that I would have liked more privacy in the bathroom. I'd prefer it to have been completely closed off.

We had a lovely stay at this property which was located at a convenient location with transport links such as Metro & Bus stops in a walkable distance, and a Westfield equivalent shopping centre right next door with plenty of food options. The room had a sleek modern dark interior with lots of LED light strips (note that there is only warm yellow lighting in the room). All staff we spoke to were professional, courteous & super polite! The only criticism I have of the property is that the room accumulates a lot of dust which is evidently visible due to the all black furniture, however this was easily solved by the daily cleaning by the Housekeeping team and the TV in the room wasn’t a smart tv, and only had 2 English channels (BBC news & Comedy channel with only playing Futurama). I highly recommend this property, and will definitely be booking again if visiting Barcelona!

The double room ocean veiw we reserved was terrible. They show a window or balcony in description but the offered no balcony. Only got a room that windows are shutdown and don't open. They have shut them down intentionally, so if you want to open them you must pay extra. So no sea breeze, only smelly rooms. The aircondion does not work. They set it at 19 C but you cannot change it. Therefore you get cold to shut it down. Can't adust temp or fan. Sneaky way to make customers not use AC. They don't clean the room daily even if you leave the room at 8 am and leave sign to please make up my room. When i confronted them they said they have many rooms and they don't have time to clean everyroom. So i called management and the sent some to clean my room at 5 pm. Room has no napkins, no coffee maker, no kettle to make coffee or tea. Very small bathroom you barely fit in it and shower and bathroom are separated small rooms. Lights is terrible. This is the last time i would take a non American brand hotel. These moms and pops hotel are out to rip off customers and companies who sent their employees for meetings. By the way my room was very pricey about 300 usd per night. Figure it out before you reserve with this outfit.

The room was immaculate, really good size and the lighting was amazing! We had a view of the sea from our window which was lovely. I would stay here again and I would recommend to anyone else to stay there too. Location was ideal only an hours walk from the main points but 5 minutes from the metro! Lovely shopping centre with lots of restaurants next door too which was perfect for evening food and drinks. The air on in our room however wouldn’t go to cool was only on hot!

My only constructive feedback would be to lose the comedy ironing boards ! 🙂 tiny little ironing boards that action man would struggle to fit his jumper on.... other than that, had a lovely stay, thank you.

I did not like that the room temperature could not be regulated. Only heat, no cooling.

The food at the breakfast buffet that should've been hot wasn't. I reported this to the manager but it had no effect.

I was disturbed 3 times by staff when I had the do not disturb sign on my room door.
