Positives : clean, well presented, good size rooms.
Negatives : Cooked breakfast was quite cold one day, not standard fried breakfast. Limited selection for other options. Bathroom made of glass and you could see into bathroom from the room. Could hear and see anyone using toilet. Staff spoke amongst themselves, but limited interaction with guests. A little too far from old town square.

Location is excellent- 10 minute walk to the main square. Quite a long walk for locations south of the river, but for most attractions, excellent location. Room was average. Average size, no safe, lacking some toiletries and facial tissues. Also charges me for breakfast although I'm fairly certain i prepaid for this.

Really lovely hotel in a traditional building that’s been nicely restored. Rooms are compact but very comfortable and we had one of the few rooms with a balcony overlooking the rear terrace. The bar was great, although we didn’t try the food. Loved the water machines on each floor and the refillable glass bottles on each room. Flat 20min stroll to the old town - good location.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. I’d be more than happy to stay again if I go back to Krakow. The hotel is a short 15/20 minute walk to the Old Town and roughly the same to Glowny station, so really handy to get to and from the airport.

The area around the hotel/ the city in general felt very safe even late at night. Small supermarket across the road for any bits and pieces you need.

The location of the hotel was north of the Old Town but it could be easily walked to in 20 mins or the tram no 18 runs regularly a short 2 min walk over the road. Staff very friendly and the place was very clean. There is a bar which also serves hot drinks etc. We didn’t eat at the hotel as there were numerous bakeries, local Zabka convenience stores and restaurants for evening dining were plentiful in Old Town.

This property is perfect if you are wanting to be near the centre of Krakow old town square but not right in the middle, it is around 1 5-10 minute walk down the the main square, the walk itself is pleasant and as 2 young girls we felt very safe. The hotel is lovely and clean. We had an issue when we arrived in that our room hadn't been cleaned with dirty towels, toilet and the room itself untidy, however this was quickly rectified and as an apology we where given complementary breakfast for the rest of our stay. The breakfast its self has plenty to offer but for the fussier eaters they may struggle.

Location is really convenient for visiting downtown Krakow and to get to and from the airport. We really liked the breakfast. Definitely recommended for bigger stays in Krakow.

This hotel had great reviews & the reception staff were friendly & helpful. Our stay was pleasant but we would not return. Plenty better options. Travelled with my husband & our friend.
On arrival we were early, my friend got into her room however ours wasn't ready so we went out & explored the area, came back later on to find a twin room set up when we booked a queen-this was changed however took sometime-no apology offered etc. We had booked a balcony room, it was dark by the time we got in, next day i was shocked at the poor view of a carpark as that is not what is shown on the website so please save your money & dont bother paying the extra. The standard rooms are great & my friends was perfect. The shower area in room 413 had black mould in corners & tiles need scrubbed with bleach. Bar service is very poor, Jacus needs to learn customer service skills & perhaps interact with the customers. He refused to serve a couple one night at 10pm who wanted a quiet drink as there were only 3 of us in bar!
Rooms are made up each day, my friend came back one night to discover hers hadn't been touched. We never mentioned it as by this point we realised its not that well organised.
The location is within walking distance to centre also the tram & bus stops near. There is a fantastic kebab restaurant across the road for a late snack & plenty shops for anything you would need, drinks, snacks, toiletries etc
We had a fantastic time in Krakow, hotel is nice & a good base but not for me.

Absolutely fantastic hotel and staff.
Clean ,modern hotel and in a very good location.
Breakfast was lovely and well worth £5 per person.
It had a variety of different foods on offer : bread ,cereal,cold meats ,cheeses,scrambled egg,sausages,fruits and yoghurts.
It was unlimited too.
There was a lovely coffee machine there and a choice of teas and juices.
The walk to the centre if Krakow took about 20 minutes.
We organised a taxi to take us to Schindlers factory which was would was an hour walk from the hotel.
There is a number of ways to get around Krakow including motorised scooters !
Food is lovely everywhere .
The city is buzzing with life and is so so lovely.
People are so friendly.
We had a fab time in Poland and can’t wait to get back.
This hotel can organise a transfer to and from the airport just let them know in advance .

We had an issue with the air conditioning, meaning we were roasting in October. The staff worked hard to resolve, were polite and very attentive.
The hotel is excellent, the beds are superb and the staff are fantastic.
If I went to Kraków again, I would stay there.

There was only one female on reception who was helpful - didn't get her name. One person was eating breakfast on the front desk one morning and another evening receptionist was \"lounging\" in the seating area in reception eating sandwiches from a tin foil pack. Beds were not comfortable.

I made a booking for the Wow Red Bus Hop on/Hop off at the Hotel, paid for it. We went to our pick up point before the due time and waited 30 minutes but a bus didn't arrive. We didn't see a bus at all during the day, even though we waited at a number of pick up points. -LOW POINT.
Overall though we enjoyed our stay.

On the plus side - everything new, pleasant staff, reasonable breakfast, extremely comfortable bed, fast check in/check out, good value for money. On the negative side - standard room quite small, no email to contact hotel to book taxi had to phone, bin not emptied over 4 days, our request for room not in the roof (way too hot) and queen bed ignored but thankfully room was changed. Hotel uses Krakow tours as preferred guide - not very good. About 15-20 minutes walk from main square -but didn't bother us.

Amazing hotel with good sized rooms. If you're staying for longer than 1 night, I'd recommend getting one of the bigger suites with a living area. Reception staff are friendly and will help with directions and maps. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the main square. There isn't a lot to do around the hotel or any restaurants. Breakfast is a buffet of sausages, bacon, local pastries, etc. We booked 2 trips through the hotel and I'd definitely recommend this.

Lovely brand new hotel in a less-than-idea place

The Avena by Artery Hotels is a new hotel in Krakow, and it shows - the building and rooms are clean, in near perfect condition, and tastefully decorated in pleasant dark tones. It's quite a calm and lovely hotel to be in. The bed was new and comfortable, there was a choice of pillows, and the bathroom was spacious, immaculately clean, and a generous and hot shower.

The breakfast was really nice, with a very large selection of hot and cold food. Regrettably, I could only take it one of the two days I stayed as it only opened at 7am, which is rather late if you have to get an early flight. Most hotels start their breakfast at 6 or 6:30.

The only major disappointment is the location. The hotel is, quite simply, not near anything. It's a 10 minute walk to the main Krakow Glowny train station, a 15 minute walk to the northern edge of the Krakow Old Town, and a full half hour walk to places like Kazimierz where a lot of restaurants and bars are. Even the public transport connections are pretty minimal - Google Maps often suggest I walk even to quite distant places as it would be quicker than the bus or the tram.

I booked three comfort rooms for six adult family members, and we were very impressed with the rooms. They were very modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel was designed in a ‘boutique’ style which was very stylish. The hotel reception staff were very efficient and helpful and booked return airport shuttles for us before we left for Poland. We asked them if they would be able to book a trip for us to Auschwitz, which they sorted in advance of our trip, and organised packed lunches for us all for the journey there. Everything went swimmingly with no hitches. The breakfasts at the hotel were exceptional and really delicious. It’s not possible to have an evening meal at the hotel, but that was no problem as it’s a short walk (around 15 minutes,) to the centre of the old town where there are plenty of restaurants. The hotel does however, have a few snacks you could have in the evening, but we didn’t take advantage of this. The hotel recommended a typical Polish restaurant for our first night and it was first class. I would highly recommend this hotel to people considering coming to Poland. It was excellent value for money too.

Very good, modern, medium size hotel. Walking distance or two tram stops from city center. Good value for money. It's hard to find any faults so strongly recommended.

Only thing I didn't like was missing screen in the bath so water was splashing all over the bathroom when having shower.

Varmt på rummet i slutet av oktober.

Det var en trevlig vistelse på ett mycket varmt hotell precis i månadsskiftet oktober-november. Luftkonditioneringen gjorde att vi hade 27 grader på rummet trots att vi ställt temperaturen på 17. Utan luftkonditionering och med öppet fönster kom vi ned till 24. Personalen lovade att kolla men återkopplade inte.
Frukosten var god men lite hemsnickrad.
