Being a facility commissioned in July 2013, on the structure of an interestingly and richly decorated façade of a tenement house, it draws attention from passer-bys and invites to enter the reception desk. The historical details harmoniously blend with the other elements of its equipment.

Original tile stoves form a cosy way of heating for the interior and the historic mosaic add even more charm to the thoroughly renovated wooden staircase. The images with motives taken from the Art Nouveau Krakow painter, Stanisław Wyspiański, bring more stylish decorations to the rooms.

We stayed at the Amber Boutique Hotel - Amber Design: The hotel is well appointed and breakfast is good. We stayed in a room with 2 twin beds and an extra bed was added to the room. The room was spacious and clean even though the carpet had some stains. Bathroom had a crack on the floor but otherwise good shower. Beds were not very comfortable and the bedding wasn’t very comfortable either. I honestly expected more from a 4 star hotel. What really makes this hotel is the staff - they are 5 stars. Everyone is courteous and friendly. Excellent customer service.

Great birthday stay

I loved this hotel from the moment I walked in. It also happened to be 2 blocks from where my friends live.

But this hotel was quiet and everyone at the front desk was helpful for the questions I asked. If you want to be close to Old Town then this is the place to stay. Just walk out of the hotel and around the corner and you are there.

Easy to get the train from the airport to the main station and then a lovely walk through the park of Old Town to the hotel (10-15 stroll).

I have zero complaints about this hotel and will indeed be staying here on my next visit. Just an outstanding staff and room.

Bed was comfy, bathroom was fine, shower got hot quick. I loved everything about this place.

We were really disappointed with this hotel. It markets itself as a boutique hotel, but apart from elements of decor there isn’t much boutique or special about it. Our rooms were dark and small (on the last floor with windows so high I could not see anything outside), everything was OK, but there were nonspecial touches anywhere. Just kind of basic. Breakfast buffet was disappointing too - no proper coffee, small selection of cold and hot food all packed in a crowded room. But nothing great either - no regional or healthy food, no specialties - just few ordinary bites so you don’t go out hungry. Staff was nice,

A lovely 4 nights

Friendly and helpful staff. Arrived before check-in time and got our keys immediately. Good sized rooms (one standard and one superior). A short walk away from almost everything in the old city and about 25-minute walk to the Jewish quarter. Coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets just 1-2 minutes away, 7-10 min walk to main market square. Lots of transportation close by, we used it once just for the experience because we could walk everywhere. Nice and quiet location. Enjoyed good breakfasts. Wi-Fi worked well.

Very nice room and property. Breakfast could have been better. What bothered me the most about it was that they took coffee away early (40 minutes) and one day didnt seem to have it at all, indicating that instant was an acceptable alternative. Additionally, some breakfast items were not replenished when there was more than 45 minutes of the breakfast time still to go. I paid for the breakfast and counted it on it. Would have also liked more than a 1.5” square of soap provided (?). Otherwise this was a hotel I would have highly recommended. Get the soap sorted, and don’t worry about breakfast and you’re good to go!!

Great Boutique in Krakow

A great relaxing hotel just outside of the Old Town. The hotel has a pleasant garden area in the back and a tiny spa/gym area if needed. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, with plugs near the bed, and free coffee in the lobby. The bed and pillows were new and comfortable. It is a short walk into the Old Town and a block off of the outer park. It is a great location if you want a quiet evening.

The hotel sells itself on being eco-friendly, but feels more like a ploy to cut costs. They remove the air-condition remotes from the room, and only given if asked. Additionally, booked the hotel looking forward to using the sauna only to discover that it is an added cost (albeit not too much).
The hotel requests direct bookings and I tried to do this by extending my stay one night. In the end, I moved to another location as we were unable to come to an agreement on price.

The staff are extremely great! With Covid testing requirements constantly changing, they were able to accommodate our request. Readily available for questions prior and during stay.

No shuttle from train station, we used Uber which is fune. The Wifi did not work in our room, had to walk downstairs to use wifi, ver inconvenient. The refrigerator in the room did not work for cooling, my food spoiled before I knew it was not cooling.The hotel is beautiful inside, the location was great, the staff is pleasant. There was supposed to be breakfast included but it was not available.

Having heard good things about Krakow decided to go for 1 night to check it out,will definitely be going back and staying at the Amber hotel,great location.lovely hotel,great staff and a lovely city.the restaurant where you have your breakfast is also very good,we ate there the night we were there just make sure you are hungry when you go .just one piece of advice book your transfer from the airport to the hotel through the hotel we made the mistake of getting in a taxi at the airport and getting charged almost double the price although we did get to experience polish driving at it’s worst 3 times the driver told us I won’t kill you we all drive like this in Poland and apparently there is an extra charge for having a taxi at the weekend,this was the only thing that spoilt an otherwise very short break we will definitely go back as there are things we want to see

Amazing hotel, great staff, great value!!

To start with the staff at the hotel are amazing!! I had a lot of questions before I left the states and every time I emailed the staff a question they answered and very promptly. They arranged my transport from the hotel and assisted me with getting around Krakow. Don't be concerned when the block on which the hotel is located. Much of it is being renovated and the hotel looks great from the outside and is modern and comfortable inside! The hotel is also within easy walking distance from Old Town and other attractions.

The hotel was really lovely. It looked as though it had recently been renovated and has been done to a really good standard. The staff were so helpful, and helped us with any questions we had. We also booked our tours through the reception which made the whole short break very easy. The location just off the main square was excellent.

All areas were really clean, and the breakfast had loads of variety for a small hotel and was constantly being replenished. The rooms were a good size and comfy with free bottled water and toiletries.

Couldn't recommend the hotel enough - we had a great stay and it far exceeded our expectations.

I was most impressed by your staff at reception. They were very welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. They were all equally wonderful. We loved the treats available in the lobby or lounge, and I enjoyed my time in the sauna. The vodka was a lovely and delicious touch. The bed was too soft for our taste. I hope to return in the spring.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good, an easy to walk to the old town. They offfered a free phone during your stat at the hotel which had wifi which was good for navigation, etc.
The room was small. The bathroom was not cleaned the first day.
The breakfast was disappointing compared to others we experienced on this trip.

Convenient and clean hotel

The stay was fine when it came to the service and location. The rooms need updating as I felt kind of creeped out with all the dark wood and old carpet and wall paper. Everything was clean and that's important but the carpet would be the first to go in my book.

Loved our stay in Krakow and was made even better by the hotel Amber Design.

The hotel is approx 3min walk to the old town but located on a quiet street so a good sleep was had.

Very clean, stylish with helpfull staff. The hotel reception booked our trips and arranged Taxi's to and from the airport without any problems.

Not once negative thing to say about our time in Krakow or the Hotel Amber Design. Fantastic weekend.

Excellent hotel. Just back from a 3 night stay at the hotel. Excellent location close to shops and 5 min safe walk to the Main Square. Wonderful staff. Marta on reception was very helpful booking the transfer to the airport. Free excellent wifi. The Auschwitz was booked through the hotel. The room was well equipped, if there anything we needed such as extra towels they were brought up very quickly. There is a nice garden to relax. No noise at all. If I go back to Krakow I will book again :-) Thank you

Beautiful Art Deco Hotel In Krakow

My husband and I had a thoroughly lovely stay at The Amber Boutique Hotel in Krakow. It is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and the staff very professional. We stayed in a luxuriously large room that even has a little den (room 307). The hotel is strategically situated within walking distance to the Krakow Main Square (Rynek Glowny), but on a quiet street with little shops and bakeries nearby.

Short break.
Checked in early at noon. The Hotel Amber Design had a good sized room, modern bathroom with an excellent shower ( no bath). Lovely balcony overlooking the street . No tram noise.
A short walk to the main square. Good spead of hams , cheeses ,pastries , scrambled or poached eggs , hot dog type sauages etc for breakfast

As the town has so much to offer we were out and about until late every day.

Nice small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Ask for room in back of hotel for extra quiet. The only negative was that they charged my card in GBP rather than PLN without asking and charged me a very unfavourable exchange rate. This is underhanded and perhaps illegal and took me some time at checkout to undo. Great hotel, fine staff. Unf shady management.
