I was staying there for a one night stay just to lay my head down. The original person that checked me in was very nice. I checked in an hour early. I walked in the room, took a phone call and left the hotel for 20 min to find another hotel. This place was old and smelled like old Mary Jane. My room had a faint smell of a morgue I was literally in my room for less than 10 minutes. I informed the front that I was checking out and asked for a refund. She told me to come back and speak to the manager in the morning which I did. He was a total jerk. He literally watched the cameras in front of me to see how long I was in the room. He refused to offer anything, even a partial refund and started stating hotel policy to me. DONT book this place if you value your mental health. I would never stay at another Red Roof and I’ll be contacting corporate if they even have one.

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant stay for us. Thankfully, we only stayed one night as we were in town for a volleyball tournament. But the smell of marijuana in the room was so strong, that our pajamas and any clothes that we wore while in the room wreaked of it even after we got home the next night. The front desk clerk was kind enough to look for any other open room for us, but with no luck. The head board of the bed was so stained that I didn’t want any part of my body to touch it. It just really was an uncomfortable stay because of the condition and smell of the room

the room was clean. No soap in the wall mounted containers in the shower. The shower stall had a long hair stuck to the wall. They don’t clean the room during the day if you’re staying more than one night. I had to ask for new towels and the clerk provided them for me but told me I had to bring the used towels to him first. The parking lot lines are barely wide enough to fit your car in.

The desk staff was friendly and helpful, but I felt like the housekeeping staff lacked an interest in the guests. My room was not cleaned or serviced during my 3 night stay. I observed the floor in the hallway being swept but not vacuumed and only once did I observe the floor being mopped. It was damp mopped using a hand towel or similar rag attached to the mop handle. I don't remember seeing a mop bucket. The bottom of my feet were black with dirt from the floor in my room. The guest laundry was being used by staff for sheets and rags. I had to wait a day to use the washer and dryer. I extended my stay in Raleigh but move to another hotel.

The most uncomfortable room ever. I know its budget travel and not the Ritz, but if you're going to have a hotel why not try to do it well, at least. Everything sub par. Little slivers of soap, horrible toilet paper, useless pillows, holes in the comforter, bed sunken in, cheap little wall blow dryer, tiny little t.v. Seriously, quit being so cheap and upgrade to some decent basics for your guests. No elevator either. Showed up and the front desk guy was out talking to the police. Not worth the price. There are tons of other budget friendly hotels in the area

Check in was ok. The attendant was outside and came in when they saw I was at the FD. However, the facility is poor! And the overall experience has been well below the expectation given that the rating was “very good”. Had I known—I would NEVER have booked here. The photos online made it seem really nice and updated—IT IS NOT! Also, the room & bathroom are not very clean. As soon as I checked in there was no one at the front desk b/c I wanted to check out and just find another hotel. I’m disgusted and frankly irritated that no one is here to check me out!

You get what you pay for, and we knew this going in. So we got about what we expected for a room that was $60/night. We figured we’d take a chance on it because other reviews were good. It was clean and the staff was friendly. But no elevator. The beds were very hard, and the light fixture and outlet on one side of the bed did not work.

I didn’t feel safe and could not sleep due to very loud noises coming from the hallway with a dog barking at 2:45am, people slamming doors all night long. This was a high traffic area for an overnight stay.
