It was ok, but not worth the money in my opinion. The room was very basic, the temp just didn't feel right no matter if we put it on heat or cool. The best part of the stay was the shower pressure. I could hear vacuums and toilets flush around us.
No breakfast included, you pay at the little shop. I was a little annoyed that heaters weren't turned on the patio, and when I asked if they could be turned on, I was told it would happen under 51 degrees, yet it was about 45 outside.
I was surprised to also have to pay $15/day to park!
It was in walking distance or a short drive to a lot of shops in the Village District which was nice, but I would probably pay the same to stay at a more inclusive spot next time.

The bathroom was not clean - I washed the mirror myself and the shower was not clean in the corners - in 3 days/nights we never received fresh towels/washcloths - we actually liked our stay at the Airport Holiday Inn Express in Buffalo the night before for $122.00 - they provided airport shuttle both ways, parking was free for 4 nights and when we returned they had even brushed the snow off our car - take a lesson

Throughout the night, the HVAC system emitted an extremely loud, whirring/roaring sound that was disruptive each time it cycled on, making it impossible to sleep. This issue was compounded by significant traffic noise throughout the night Also, the shower had virtually no water pressure and never reached an acceptable hot temperature. The beds were worn and uncomfortable, further preventing rest. No problem with staff.

We've stayed here before. The location is perfect for us. Nice of you of the clock tower close to everything. Great little coffee shop downstairs staff was great. We bring our dog absolutely no problem whatsoever. Plenty of places to walk. I'm not complaining but I must say the TV remote had to be the hardest I've ever used. Me or my wife could figure it out. Other than that, loved it

Check in was easy. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel bar and lounge was also very welcoming and there was lots of space for relaxation while sipping a cocktail. Parking was a bit tight and we had to go to their overflow which was on the side of the building but overall this was a good experience. I would stay here again.

Aloft in Raleigh, across from NCSU's Bell-tower was a wonderful stay. If only for one night. Plenty of room, & a clean room at that...Very comfortable bed. It was quiet. Scenic. The staff were friendly. The onsite parking option was convenient & safe. Enjoyed that a lot of the areas I was in the area to research & soak up were within walking distance. Aloft is fine. Bed was comfy. The breakfast situation is not ideal. Everything is at a cost and it was a pain to get basic items like water and milk for cereal. Each time I had to ask someone for something as simple as water. There's no regard for Celiac/GF people as far as options. I ended up ordering very bland scrambled eggsa nd brought my own GF bread. The food ideology is extremely outdated. Oh- and there's no indication how much any of the food items cost.

The air conditioner in the room is an old fashioned amana-style box from the 1990s - the size of a low bookcase. It was extremely loud- unusable at night when trying to sleep.

Always enjoyable but had some suggestions. We had a double bed room (321). It had 2 desk areas but only one chair and one lamp and no outlets at the second desk.
The shades would keep the room more private if they opened top to bottom.

Property is very well located, particularly if you are planning to visit NCSU. On main transportation line. Staff were very fiendly and helpful, including in addressing a couple of special requests. The property does need some updating in decor and things like carpet. There was a very loud fan/vent in the 6th floor hallway. The lobby bar is excellent, if a bit pricey (which is probably typical of a hotel bar). Overall a very good experience.

This is the second time I have stayed here. I love how close it is to NC State and my student’s apartment. Its location allowed our family to enjoy so many of the restaurants on Hillsborough. The parking garage is very convenient. Honestly, my only complaint is that the air conditioning is extremely loud and wakes you up every time it turns on and off.
