Older hotel but very well updated. Clean and everyone was friendly. We felt the parking fee was absurd since the hotel has its own private parking lot. Where else are we supposed to park? Not to mention, the lot is small so when it's busy, you have to park at an upper lot and walk down steep stairs. We we probably stay elsewhere next time because of this.

The room and the staff were nice. When we checked in the man asked us if we had a car, and we did, and he proceeded to give us a tag to put in our car, and never said anything else about it. Checkout went fine. Once I got my invoice, it showed a parking fee and “rebate-parking” for each day under charges. When looking at the invoice, I was charged $60 more than what I was quoted when I booked since nothing was said to us about parking or having to pay for parking the price didn’t make sense to me. I called the front desk and the man said that I was double booked and when I asked about the rebate for parking because no one has said that we had to pay for parking, he said it was a system glitch. He ended up giving me $30 back but it was still inconvenient because I wasn’t prepared to pay $30 for parking in the first place. If I wouldn’t have called or look at my invoice, I would’ve paid 60 extra dollars for nothing and they would not have done anything about it. This is super disappointing after paying almost $500 for a three night stay

The look of the property is clean and attractive. The price of all the extras — included in most hotels — are quite high. We had real trouble with the “free” WiFi in the room. Having to be charged extra for enhanced WiFi in order to conduct business online activity in the room was over the top .. also, not at all well explained by promotional material or even the staff when trying to get proper WiFi in the room. We will find other hotels in Raleigh in the future

Check-in was fine. The room was dated and it had roaches in it. I had killed 6 roaches and had asked to move. All rooms wore booked or not yet cleaned so i could not move out right away. I ended up packing up and they held my luggage at check in. The staff was nice though.

They were old spring mattresses that were so uncomfortable I ended up sleeping on the couch which was sadly, more comfortable than the beds. If this hotel replaced pillows and mattresses, I would have rated it highly.

It was fine. Nothing to write home about. Staff were nice and I guess there wasn’t anything bad to say. The rooms just didn’t feel the cleanest and there was other people hair all over the room so it just felt a little dirty but we only stayed two nights so it wasn’t the worst thing to deal with. Hotel was sold out. We were placed in a horrible handicap room. Bathroom vanity was so small, no room for us. Single mirror. No mirror in main room - do they think handicap people do not like to see how they look? My husband and I are Marriott reward members. It was very difficult for two people to share that room. Also, hotel doesn't even set up complimentary coffee/tea. No complimentary breakfast either. This was my last stay at a Marriott Courtyard.

This looks like an older style hotel they converted over. The outside is older paint and outdated, but when you walk in it’s what you would expect. The check in and out were as easy as could be with friendly staff. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room itself, smaller, and again they tried to update it to something new, and did an “ok” job. Small bathroom, but the water pressure and heat in there was awesome. You definitely pay for location over value in my eyes, nothing terrible, but for the price it is what it is for a Raleigh downtown location.
