My husband and I stayed here for the first time recently and we are disappointed. Parking with the valet is $35! The HVAC system in our room hummed so loudly a sounded like it could blow at any moment. And my husband left a brand new pair of jeans and socks on top of the safe in the closet. Our fault! We were one hour away when we realized this and called the property. I was told that housekeeping had already left for the day and t call back the next morning to speak with Janette. We offered to come back right then to retrieve the items before returning to Wilmington, NC. They told us no. That the room had been cleaned and is now being occupied. The next morning I called as instructed and reached someone at the front desk. He wouldn't transfer me to Janette and instead said he would speak with her and call me back. This was an hour later! When he called he stated the room had been checked and there was no sign of the jeans or the socks. My husband was so upset because he had just purchased the jeans for $100. The socks were Ralph Lauren for $30. And my husband had $270 CASH in his pants pockets of the jeans he was using for tips, drinks and dining in the restaurant on-site called High Rail. We will NOT be staying there again nor will we recommending the hotel to any friends or family. I cannot stand dishonesty! We KNOW we left the jeans, socks, and money on top of the safe in the room in the closet. And even offered to drive an hour back to pick up the items! I am disgusted!

The staff were incredibly polite , efficient, and helpful. Check in was seamless. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was VERY good for a hotel breakfast. Wide selection. The coffee was some of the best hotel coffee ive ever had.
The bad:
The parking situation is less than ideal. They do have valet, but when check in is busy the line for valet isn’t even worth it. The cart attendant is very friendly. However, If you’re like me and don’t like valet, your only option is a parking garage.
My only other complaint, is that a small dog was barking all night long. I’m not the type to call on another room, however I do wish the hotel would have just handled it.
Other than that, I would absolutely stay here again. In fact, I plan to.

We specifically selected this hotel based on the understanding that the Acorn Drop view would be easily accessible—ideally a walk-out experience from the hotel, with nearby restaurants and New Year’s Eve festivities within close proximity. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The location and view did not align with what was represented, and the overall experience fell well short of what we believed we had booked.
We were very much looking forward to celebrating New Year’s Eve together—enjoying drinks, dining nearby, and taking part in the Acorn Drop festivities. Instead, the evening was frustrating and disappointing, especially given the anticipation and significance of the occasion.
Additionally, our stay was further disrupted by excessive noise. A dog barked uncontrollably for approximately 45 minutes, and we could clearly hear people talking between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m., making it extremely difficult to rest.
Given the misrepresentation of the view and location, combined with the noise disturbances that significantly impacted our stay, I believe a full refund was appropriate because it affected our visit and because I spoke directly to the hotel. Hyatt claimed that they never guarantee a view. Never ever again!!

My major complaint was with the shower in the handicap accessible bathroom. Because there were no shower doors the water runoff was all over the bathroom floor which caused me slip and fall twice when I exited the shower. VERY DANGEROUS FOR A PERSON WITH BALANCE ISSUES. Worthy of a lawsuit - at least inform the customer when they check in.

We honestly booked this last minute just for one night while on a road trip to somewhere else to buy a car and were blown away. The are was really cool the room was really nice (like a little suite) the staff was awesome. We plan on coming back to actually stay a few days soon. There a bunch of nice little shops and restaurants in walking distance (and I mean like so close you have to pass them while walking to your car). Really nice little spot especially for the price. 10/10.

The whole stayed was not good. First we looked for a family friendly hotel, kids friendly. Well, apparently they had no kids and clearly were not used to have them either. It is NOT a Kid friendly hotel. False advertise. Second, the room itself that said as I booked said, could have 6 people sleep in. Not true either. super small, if you do open the sofa bed there is no space to walk. I need to adjust furniture in order for our family be able to walk on the room without bumping into each other.
They said the room had a small kitchen, well, it was a mini fridge, not a full size fridge as was showing on the pictures. The shower, sorry, it was a joke; The water drips like rain water, not running water. I went to the front desk to ask if it ws normal and they said the whole building don't have enough water pressure, so every single room was the same. We booked 2 room, because my in laws were traveling with us, and the website said they had it connected rooms. Great, but not true, as I requested, they said because I booked through Expedia , I should complain with Expedia, and if I booked directly with them, their would be able to adjust our needs. Well, I booked 2 rooms , my in laws did not need to stay in a room that had a sofa bed, I booked the same room because we needed the connected room, and it did not happened. I booked a room here for my girlfriend’s birthday so she could relax and enjoy her day — but I’m honestly embarrassed I did. I’ve never paid over $200 for a single night in a hotel before, and I probably never will again. The service was worse than most cheaper hotels I’ve stayed at.
First off, there’s no room service at all. How do you charge that much for a room and not offer that basic amenity? Then, on top of that, there’s no free parking — you have to pay $25 per night just to park. That’s ridiculous for a hotel in this price range.
I also paid extra for a “city view” room, but the only thing she could see was a parking lot. Total waste of money. When she arrived, one elevator was broken, and by the next morning, none of them were working. To make things worse, there were loud drunk people making noise late at night. Does this place even have security? Because it sure didn’t seem like it.
The only thing she actually enjoyed was getting some sleep — and that’s not saying much for the amount I spent. I canceled a cheaper hotel to go with this one, and now I completely regret it. I’m beyond disappointed and embarrassed. Definitely won’t be booking here again or any “luxury” hotel like this in the future.
