We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Golden Crown in Prague. The pre-trip correspondence was easy and efficient. The hotel arranged a car to pick us up at the airport (via Liftago).

The location of the hotel is right across from the Frank Kafka rotating art display; we could watch it from our window. Both the metro and tram stops are across the street making it an ideal location to move about the city. There are also several cafes across the street as well, in addition to a Tesco grocery.

We added the morning breakfast to our stay and it turned out to be a great way to start each day. It was tidy and well attended to by the staff. Everyone from the hotel that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. If you are traveling from the U.S. the staff speak English. Our hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Our room had both a large bathtub and separate shower.

Overall, it was a great experience and we would stay at the Golden Crown again!

Really lovely hotel, well situated for all the main sights in Prague. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached served excellent pizza and pasta, excellent selection at breakfast as well. Highly recommended.

This hotel was a great place to stop off in Prague. The location was really central so was easy to walk everywhere - there is also good public transport routes around the hotel. The staff were always so lovely and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and had everything you need - toiletries, hair dryer etc. The bed was really comfy and we slept really well each night.
They did take 2000 CZK upon arrival, for a deposit, which gets refunded at the end as long as there are no damages etc. This was fine but we weren’t aware of this charge before check in so just bear in mind for budgets.

This hotel was beautiful! My fiancé proposed in our room before a lovely evening of celebrations in Prague and it couldn’t have been better. The staff are really friendly, rooms are massive and extremely clean and within walking distance of all major attractions. We both highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

During our recent trip to Prague, we had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Golden Crown, and I can honestly say it was an experience we won’t forget. Right from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. A special shoutout goes to Nicole from the reception team, who truly made our stay extraordinary.

Nicole’s friendly demeanor and willingness to help us navigate the city turned what could have been a daunting experience into a fantastic adventure. She not only welcomed us with open arms but also took the time to recommend places to visit and eat—her suggestions were spot on! From cozy cafés to must-see landmarks, we felt like we had our own personal tour guide.

Every time we needed assistance, Nicole was there, ready with answers to our questions or just a friendly chat. The Hotel Golden Crown offers a wonderful atmosphere, but Nicole truly elevates the experience. If you’re planning a visit to Prague, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you, Nicole, and the rest of the reception team, for making our stay so enjoyable! We can’t wait to come back!

Room was spacious, light and bright, with all amenities. The bathroom was large with an enormous tub, however, only a hand held shower and no shower door or curtain. Electrical planning was poor regarding lights and outlets, i.e., no light over the desk.

Lovely Stay

All was good with the hotel.The breakfast was good but, the”American Coffee” could have been sewer water, disgusting. Starbucks is American Coffee, so please change the name or change the coffee. Get a machine like all other hotels I stayed in(25) in Eastern Europe.

This hotel has a high rating and is extremely charming but to be honest is really more like a strong three star hotel with regards to amenities and the quality of the interior. Having said that they have the absolute best staff I have seen in quite some time and I travel quite quite quite quite quite frequently internationally and stay at five and six star hotels the front desk staff is equal to all of those period specifically Nicole and Giovanni were some of the most amazing encounters I have had at a hotel in my life period this trip alone we started in Prague at another five star hotel flew to crack out Poland to enjoy Christmas then flew to Budapest and then back to Prague and I will openly tell you that this hotel based on its location and staff are absolutely worth visiting

Second time staying at this hotel A very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is located close to everything there are two malls across the street from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants and tourist attractions near by as well. The hotel is very clean and quiet also the Italian restaurant inside it the hotel is great

Highly recommended.

Great location! Friendly and helpful staff. Very big and clean room, tastefully designed. We lacked more variety at breakfast - there were only fatty cheeses and not enough vegetables. But the dining room is cozy and the staff is very, very nice. Overall an excellent experience. Highly recommend the hotel.

Overall, this was a good property. Room was good sized and clean. I loved the location, very easy access to key trams and a metro stop. The shopping and restaurants nearby were good. The only concern for me was the room was very dry which impacted sleep. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Perfect for a weekend get away

This is great hotel that deal quite intimate. In a great location for all the sights that Prague has to offer as well as being close to a metro station and a shopping centre if needed. Staff are friendly and very good at their jobs and breakfast is well stocked with a good variety. Highly recommend

Our corner room was spacious with a great view. The shower was the best ever! Especially after a long day of sight seeing. The walk to old town and Charles bridge is about a half mile but very beautiful. Breakfast was good, limited selection but enough to fuel your day! We would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. The location is near enough to old town yet far enough away from the noise of the crowds. If you get a corner room it will be spacious. The rooms are starting to show alittle wear so care should be given for future repairs to maintain their highest level of confort

Great location for exploring Prague. Room was spacious as was bathroom which made for a comfortable stay. We had a lot of luggage and felt we had room to spread out- plus a nice cabinet and large bathroom vanity. Breakfast was nice in the adjoining restaurant and we enjoyed this location. In advance of our trip I corresponded with the hotel to determine where to park and they helped get me a recommendation which I reserved in advance.

We had a great stay at the Golden Crown, fantastic location for walking to the old town square area and for accessing local trams serving the whole city. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and available 24/7.
The hotel is set in a quiet square overlooking the revolving Kafka’s head, which is quite remarkable. Our only very minor bugs were the air con worked but never reduced the room temp under 23 degrees despite setting it for lower, not uncomfortable for us though, also fantastic looking bathroom but the shower attachment isn’t the easiest to manipulate without spraying the bathroom, perhaps some glass bath panels would ease the gymnastics needed each morning! However, we would stay here again and for the room rate was great value.

Comfortable Hotel

Our stay at Golden Crown was comfortable. This hotel is located near to Metro and tram station - just across from rotating head - Kafka’s head. Convenient to travel to city attractions. Breakfast was good with many varieties. Breakfast staff were helpful and courteous.

A hidden gem. It is not a large hotel, only a few rooms per floor but that makes it quieter. Found it by mistake but I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were comfortably large and clean. Feels luxurious, especially after staying in some small spaces in Europe. The best shower I have had with the waterfall head. I only wish I was staying longer than a day!
