We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The unit was lovely, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The location was perfect for exploring the city. One of the main Christmas markets was right outside the door. Close enough we could go up to the room to use the bathroom. There was a fair bit of noise from the hall way, particularly the doors but it didn't disturb us during the night.

Drunks outside of window every night till at least 3am. Room was not prepared or cleaned when we checked in.
Shower head needs to be held in one hand to prevent it from spaying whole bathroom. Water must be turned off to apply soap/shampoo. Bed has very little padding.
We were glad to leave.

If you like being ripped off, Hotel Julis is the place for you. They put pool photos in their Expedia page despite NOT HAVING A POOL. They list a pool as an amenity and there are other amenities that are listed that they charge you for. But you have to go off the property and pay 10 euros for the pool that they don't have.

My safe didn't work. They said they'd fix it but didn't. The room was not very clean. It's not a nice property on any level. But the lying and gaslighting is the worst.

I stayed at this hotel with my brother for four nights to celebrate his birthday in Prague. The location is fantastic – right in the heart of Wenceslas Square, with plenty of bars, shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. However, be aware that this area can be a bit touristy, and some places might charge higher prices for food and drinks compared to other parts of the city.

The hotel room was spacious and spotless. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but one staff member seemed a bit unfriendly after we checked out. They wouldn't let us use the toilet and questioned how long we planned to store our baggage, given our late flight that night. It was a minor issue, though, and overall, I'd recommend this hotel for its great location and comfortable rooms.

Manager tried to blame a pipe leak in the unit below on our room and attempted to charge €200 for the repair. Desk guy proceeded to curse at us and demand €200. Great location but would not recommend staying here if you don’t like paying for faulty hotel infrastructure.

Good, neat and clean rooms and a well maintained property at very convenient location. The breakfast was also very good with good options. However, the rooms are not sound proof and it gets noisy specially in the morning. Moreover, the pool is not covered in the room rent which was not mentioned before and you have to pay extra to avail the facility on per day basis.

The staff was good and attentive. The room was spacious but the bed was on the smaller side of \"queen.\" The circuit breaker tripped the entire floor we were on when we adjusted the bedside lamp, so i do have concerns about the wiring within the hotel. The staff quickly attended to the problem, but it was still a concerning issue. The location was great and convenient to anywhere in Old Town Prague.

For the price the hotel was good. I booked here because I wanted a hotel with a swimming pool but the hotel only let you use it after 8:00 pm because they had swim classes or something during the day and some of the lights in my room didn’t work. The location was great and the little kitchen was a rare find. Overall it was good for the location and the price. Very convenient to see all the main sights, go shopping catch public transportation and find food.

Overall a really good stay

The rooms are great as they are a generous side and come with a fridge and cooking facilities (including microwave). They also have a sofa making it feel more like a suite. The staff are also very friendly and were more than happy to let me leave my suitcase as I arrived too early to check in and as I had a late flight, I wanted to leave it so I could enjoy the last morning and early afternoon in Prague without having to drag it around.

I do have a few criticisms though. Firstly the swimming pool is only open from 8 until 10pm. As I had made evening plans for all the nights I was there, I therefore couldn't use this. Secondly the bath/shower has no curtain which makes having a shower without getting the whole bathroom wet difficult. Finally, it would be nice to have some English speaking TV channels as there was only Czech channels available.

Overall because of it's great location and the positive points above, I would stay again though.

Just okay, but that worked for us.

Our stay was just fine. If you are looking for a great location this is the place, buy keep in mind you are getting the locale at the expense of the noise of folks on the square all night long. The room we were provided was reasonable, and clean enough. If you need AC then this is not the place for you, as you will need windows open. I will say the staff were incredibly helpful to us and made it a good stay.

The location is great. We got to visit most of Prague just by walking. Our room was quiet and large.

The hotel advertises that they have a fitness center and swimming pool but these are separate businesses, so you need to pay extra and availability for hotel guests might be limited: the swimming pool, for instance, was only available after 8pm.

The room had a kitchenette, microwave and larger fridge than usually found in hotels: very convenient for families (although we ended up eating out most of the time).

Fabulous location. Great, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast on the Terrance. Clean room, but the AC is VERY loud and doesn’t work, so u just lay in bed sweating, wifi is terrible, paid to use the pool (select hours) and there was swimming lessons going on and we got yelled at and had to wait, so that was weird. Anyways it was okay, the location is fabulous, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Worst hotel experience ever

The room was not up to standard, the bed linen was dirty, the walls are filthy and dirty, there are holes on doors and walls, there is mould on the ceiling, strange loud noises in the apartment from the fridge or something, the room was very hot and air conditioning didn’t work and even when we had it on it was very loud.

We didn't sleep at all that night, it was awful.

On the night of the 28th, I spoke with the night staff and explained everything.
I asked could we change room or please get a refund and he was very nice and polite and mentioned to speak with the manager the following day.

The next morning I spoke with the manager and he was rude, aggressive and abrupt.

I was trying to explain the situation and he wasn't helpful at all, he wasn't willing to fix any of the issues that I mentioned. He was being very aggressive, rude and abrupt and when I asked him why he was being aggressive he started laughing at me.

After all this, we decided that we were leaving the hotel after only staying one night instead of 4 nights.

When we were checking out the manager was very rude and abrupt again.

He didn't even try help us out or or say sorry, absolutely nothing.

He was just smiling at us and laughing.
Awful experience, stay well away from this hotel.

Studio room wasn't tidy. Needed a good hoover. There were dust on the flooring, needed a mop too. Location is in the city centre, which is good, however they charged me twice cor a bottle of water, which is 3x priced anyways. Overall, wouldnt stay here again, unles the room price is €20 a night.

It was relaxing to stay at Hotel Julis and the breakfast was amazing. All staff on Reception were very helpful and allowed us to check in early.

We were disappointed that the pool was only open 8pm-11pm as we had planned to use it in the afternoon. It did not say anywhere when we booked it was only open limited hours. It was also not advertised that there was a cost to use the pool.

The pool area felt very unloved and wasn’t like the pictures we saw when we booked.

Love the location, second time staying here. TV in room is tiny, but who cares. Staff is the best, Hotel lobby sells Pilsner Urquels cheaper than the convenient stores. You have to pay to use the pool, but I've been there twice and didn't visit the pool. Rooms are nice with a small kitchen and fridge, utensils available at the desk. Not a complaint but there are small areas that need attention, tiny bits of peeling paint, bleach stains in hallway, but nothing that detracts from the value or location of the property. Perfect location, minutes away from everything!!

Second time staying here. Post-Covid there were some differences, room cleaning only alternative days so for my 4 night stay I only had one change of towels. I did have two sets of towels however as a single occupant of double room, so not really a problem for me. Tea and coffee, kettle provided but no milk. Last time I stayed milk pots were provided daily. Room was great, 8th floor with a balcony overlooking the square. Comfy bed, good air-con, nice bathroom, plenty of hot water, good water pressure in shower. Big in-room safe, bathrobes, good wardrobe space. Both ladies on the 4th floor reception were very helpful and friendly.
Would stay again, location on the square is perfect. Have stayed in many hotels in Prague over last 20 years and this is one of my favourites.

Chose hotel as it had a pool. Told on arrival there's an additional fee to use pool. Didn't find out until our last morning when we went to use it, pool only opens in evenings! Comfortable beds but bits n pieces needing attention in room. Good bath/shower but screen needed resealed. Overall reasonable stay but have had better for less money in Prague.

This was a nice stay. The hotel is right in the middle of the street with easy access to all food, shopping and night life.

The place to stay in Prague

The hotel is excellent in all aspects except the air conditioning which can not cope adequately on a hot day. Above 30 degrees centigrade it stops operating. Otherwise, the hotel is up to expectations, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We really liked the location of this property. It is within walking distance of the main train station, river and most of the tourist attractions that we wanted to see. Our room was great, it had a little kitchenette area, which would be good if you were staying a bit longer and wanted to cook and use the room a bit more. The room was clean, but there were some parts of it that needed a little TLC. Great value for money.

Is the worst hotel I have stayed in in Europe. Really run down. Electricity was regularly cutting out due to old wiring. My rooms plumbing was so bad that I never had hot water in the morning. I complained and they said that it was fixed. The next morning it was the same again. When I complained again they said that it works in the afternoon. No apology or compensation was offered.

Room was large and they provided many extra things out of my expectation like robe, shoehorn, microwave and so. Nice to have sofa and tea table. Location was excellent. Close to subway station so it was easy to get to the airport. I walked to all attractions on foot. For breakfast it didn't have many choices but acceptable.

I really enjoyed the balcony from the hotel room as it is overseeing one of the man squares in Prague and a very nice terrace overseeing garden on the other side of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This was our first stay at Hotel Juliš. We enjoyed everything in the hotel, from the room, to delicious breakfast. There is a terrace adjoining the restaurant and the view from there is wonderful.
We stayed for four nights. Next time we are in Prague, hopefully within two years, we will stay at this hotel again.
The reception is on the fourth floor, which is no problem.
There is an indoor swimming pool, but it is not available most of the day and I think it is also an extra charge.

Thumbs up to this hotel.

We celebrated our 30 anniversary. Great location. The hotel has renovation but did not mention on their site. This cause a fire and we have to be evacuated in the night after 4 hours we were sent to other hotels.
