Twin beds head to head so they fit in a room 10’ wide, felt uncomfortable to say the least. Hotels .com rate it 8.4 - I think the owners must have written these reviews. Poster shows breakfast - not at this hotel; it shows a shining reception - not at this hotel; it shows a grand building - it has a small entrance in amongst the building so don’t be fooled.

Positives: shower good, bed comfortable, location for city excellent.

Stated parking available - it is if your OK parking on the street.

I downgraded service because the receptionist who we saw twice was arguing with a guest on our arrival. Think he didn’t want to welcome his next customers !

Hotels .com pictures - are NOT accurate reflection of this hotel. We won’t be back.

The hotel itself and staff were excellent. Room was very pleasant and comfortable. Vaclava Nameski (Wencelas Square is home to a very active night scene, so if you want a quiet accomodation, this would not be ideal

Run-down hotel without staff

Getting to the hotel itself was a challenge. A day before my stay I received an email about the hotel \"implementing ecological steps\", which was a long paragraph of corpospeak for \"we won't be cleaning your room every day anymore\". There was a second paragraph there that said \"by the way, our reception is closed, if you actually want to get in, go to this other differently named hotel sort of kind of next door\".

Given the amount of spam people get, they might never read your second paragraph. And indeed I haven't, until it became obvious that the usual way to get into a hotel (which worked well so far for me) won't work this time.

If that were up to me, the email would have been titled \"IMPORTANT: HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL\" and the ecological excuses for cost-cutting would be the \"by the way\" in the second paragraph. But I don't run a hotel, so what do I know?

Anyway, I stayed in a suite on the top floor. Supposedly one of the best rooms on the property. The furniture looked more-less 20 years old, including a swivel stand built into the desk for a CRT TV. One of the shelves had a missing support so it was just waiting for you to put stuff on it to fall out of the dresser. There was no fridge, the kettle was in bad need of descaling, the bathroom door was damaged from flooding, and the noise isolation in the windows was poor.

After your stay, you need to -- again -- go to the other hotel to check out.

Needless to say, I won't be returning.

The hotel is on a Main Street, easy walk to everything with many shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly. We missed the breakfast at the main location a few doors down. We were able to leave our bags. The room was very spacious and clean. We had front windows with a view to the Christmas markets and all the action. It was a bit loud but we slept well. If you are a light sleeper, it would be a problem. The bed was hard but comfortable. It didn’t bother us. Would recommend it.

the most important thing that was missing in information is that to check in and get you entry card you need to go down ( away from national museum on the hill side) for about 100 steps and on left there is a Hotel Reception desk that serves several hotels.
there you check in and get access. into hotel.
on our arrival we stood at the hotel rokoko glass door in wander what to do until 1 person made the effort to show us the reception.

Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and spacious, comfortable rooms. I stayed four nights and loved the big comfortable bed with nightly turn-down service. I enjoyed two massages during my stay, and the a la carte breakfast was terrific. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful with any arrangements you may need. There is on-site laundry but I took mine to a lady across the street for next-day service for only a few dollars. Good location; within walking distance to the river, your choice of eateries, and all the beautiful sites in Luang Prabang. Would stay again!

Great hotel in a great location.

This hotel was perfect for our needs, in a great central location so within easy walking distance to everything.

The check in was in a nearby sister hotel but only 50m from the Rokoko. They reception staff were super helpful have us a recommendation for some Czech food in a nearby restaurant that was reasonably priced and gave good advice on what supermarket to use to stop you paying over inflated prices.

The rooms were admittedly dated but large, clean and comfortable. Room styles vary with some having a bath and some having just a shower and cubicle. A major plus there was always hot water and plenty of towels that were changed daily. My only comment is that they ask you to leave towels hanging if you want to reuse them but they had the habit was giving fresh ones regardless. The shower wash dispenser ran out during my stay but it was refilled promptly.

I would say this a three star hotel at best but I think it was worth the money and would stay again.

Hotel's staff emailed me that checked in time is 2pm. On site manager insisted that checked in time is 3pm. The handle for one of the windows just fell off when I try to open the window. I reported it to the staff and they said it will be fixed tomorrow.

We stayed at the EA Rokoko in november for three days and it was perfect choice, located in the middle of town in the main boulevard in Prague, 5 minutes walk to old town square and to the museum, also 15 minutes walk to Charles Bridge, the room was big and clean with a tv and and a kettle tea coffee sugar provided and toilletteries and daily housekeeping, breakfast was good ample choice but we were charged 20 euros for 3 hours late check out

The hotel was convenient to everything, the breakfast was awesome and the room perfect for our needs. It could get a little noisy at night if the street below got loud, but once we closed the window, it was more than tolerable and we slept well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Good experience.

We found the hotel to be nice & quiet even though it was centrally located. This is due to the area being largely . Our standard room was larger than expected & therefore spacious. Cleanliness in the hotel and our room was excellent so the Hotel keeper and her staff should be commended. All staff were very friendly, helpful and attention. The self service breakfast had a large variety of items to choose from, for all international tastes. We have stayed in many hotels around the world but I will say that the EA Rokoko Prague could not be faulted.

Didnt like the hotel !
Checked in to a room i didnt liked. Ask the manager to change he refused! Said that they have only 40 rooms. Bad attitude.

I went outside to eat in different place!
Late afternoon there was not a hot water! What?!?!? Had to wait 4 hours to fix that.

Be aware of hotel's \"mistakes\". Good location.

Although, our reservation was confirmed, we were noticed that the hotel was overbooked and they had no room for us. The staff tried moving us to another hotel (Ramada) that was cheaper and worse. We understood that is well known trick in Prague - they probably give good conditions in Expedia or other sites and then force customers to agree staying in lower level hotel without giving back a gap. Only after we insist to have rooms in Rokoko hotel, the rooms were found, but not before hotel's director was also involved. Besides this trick, there was no kettle and cups and some other services and facilities that appear in hotel's description. The bed also was not so good with two separate mattresses that was not comfortable for couple.
But, the location was great. Good breakfast. To be fair, hotel's director also allowed us proceeding late check-out as a compensation for their \"mistake\" and inconvenience.

Great location, easy10 min walk to astronomical clock area, you can easier walk to Charles bridge and The castle. Hop-on, Hop-off buss straight across the road from hotel. Friendly staff at reception. Quiet area. Room was extremely clean. Only complaint was the lady in the breakfast room, rude and unfriendly. Breakfast was basic, nothing to get excited about but it did the job for being included with your stay.

Very conveniently situated for all of Prague's wonderful sights, our room was large, airy and comfortable with a good view of Wenceslas Square. Breakfast was fairly basic but well cooked and plentiful. Customer service was excellent, they even let us wait in the restaurant for our transfer which was scheduled for 6.50pm.

Smell, floor and no electricity!

The stench of the 5th floor outside our room was repulsive! I dropped something under the table between the two single beds, the floor was disgusting! On the 2nd of the 3 nights stayed, we were informed that the electricity would be turned off in the middle of the evening for 4+ hours. For many this would not be a problem, but for someone that is staying at a so called 4 star hotel with a CPAP, it was not a minor inconvenience. The answer at the desk when I asked about the outage, was simply let them know if I needed to check out or not!

Very friendly reception (Lukas was super helpful on several occaisions). Room was small and simply furnished, but clean and comfortable with large windows that opened. In room safe and mini bar. Bed was 2 singles pyshed together to create king...very comfortable with nice linens and comfy pillows. Very hot week- but air conditioner was adequate to get relief. Family with kids in adjacent room very noisy playing in hall- complaint dealt with effectively by staff. Varied spread of hot and cold breakfast selections daily with nice breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, etc. Hotel located near many restaurants and shops, Starbucks just outside door, and a great Metro system steps away. Front desk arranged smooth airport pick up (when emailed) which we were pleased with. We were happy with this moderately priced hotel on our first visit to Prague.

Group to watch football, bike and sightseeing, but mainly to hear the music. The hotel is very centrally located it s pricing was very reasonable. The rooms on the back side were quiet and shaded. The street side are noisy at night and the street lights make the room fairly illuminated. However, earplugs and eye mask would fix those problems. Breakfast was quite a variety of foods.

Perfect location to explore Prague

Rokoko was great. Perfect location exactly in the center of Weceles Square and just a few steps from the Metro entrance. I researched it for a good while and I can say it was a good choice. Staff was great and breakfast was great. Will stay again if I go back to Prague.

Easy for walking, not so easy for parking.

The hotel was in a very convenient location to walk to the sights. My only complaint would be that parking was a little inconvenient. the parking garage was about 2 blocks away and we had to stop at the hotel to get directions and a parking voucher before going to the garage. There was no where for my husband to park the car while I went inside the hotel for the parking information. Other than that, our stay was good. I would rate the breakfast about a 3 out of 5 though.

Location was great. Walk from the station or 1 stop on the Metro. Was located within walking distance to the old town sites and all the shopping strips. Tram 2 mins away and it takes you to the sites over the river. Very conviently situated. The room was large and well equiped with table and chairs and TV with several english news channels. Breakfast buffet was very good as well, so much to choose from!

Best Location in Central Prague

You can find everything around you beside the hotel Costa Cafe and shopping around the Hotel and 5 min. To old town and new town and also Charles bridge, if you are so exhausted from day trip there is Thai message near by , the hotel is not a 4* but the breakfast is Ok and the room is a little bit small but comfy there is air condition but I think in winter we don't need it .... But this hotel is the best Location Location Location. Definitely I will return back to this hotel.

Convenient location, horrible reception & loudroom

I stayed here for two nights. I really liked nearly all the hotels I've stayed in Prague but this was the worst possible one. I mean, it is cheap, and is in a very good location, I'll give them that. However the staff, and especially the reception was a disaster. This hotel is probably should be 2 star one, -not sure who gives stars in CZ, the rooms were poorly decorated, smelled badly, and the designated room was overlooking to the whole square where it is noisy the whole day/night. The windows are not soundproof, which feels like you re sleeping on the side walk.

I usually do not write bad references but this place gives shame to hotels in Prague. I mean it is conveniently located, yes, but there are perhaps 60 other hotels that are located similarly with similar price range. I have no idea how this place have so many positive reviews..

I asked to change the room on the first day, which was replied that they would the next day, after visiting them again, they said I was too late to come in (They expected me to put all my business aside and come to the reception at exactly 2pm which is ridiculous) so I had to stay in that same room again.

So consider yourselves warned, I suppose every floor on that same side which has 5 rooms, makes it about 25 rooms, has the same problem, if you are a person that can not sleep in a sidewalk on a highway, with buskers playing music, and drunk people chatting, this is not a good place for you.

Convenient to train station but unpleasant neighborhood (old, not very clean, too hectic, and near area known as homeless hangout). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, although some of them spoke limited English. The room was clean, and everything was in working condition, but the décor feels very dated and on the tawdry side (but may be typical for Prague for this price range). The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices, but the quality wasn’t very good (just OK coffee, dry croissants), and the dining room was in a windowless basement. If you walk to/from the train station, make sure you know where and when it’s safe. I considered moving to another hotel when we arrived, but we ended up staying for the three nights we had reserved.

Very pleasant hotel in the heart of Prague

We stayed here for three nights before moving on to Budapest. We liked it well enough to book an additional night for just before our return to the US.

Hotel staff was always helpful and pleasant. Breakfast included plenty of delicious things to choose from.

Good location and excellent service

We appreciated the courteous and responsive front desk. (He even referred me to to a reliable shoe repair service.) Located conveniently on busy Wenceslas Square , it was nonetheless a quiet and comfortable room. Experienced problems with WiFi connectivity, but received prompt and helpful technical service.

Great Position on Wenceslas Square

Thoroughly enjoyed stay at Rokoko. Great value, great position in the centre of Prague, an ideal base to see everything. Large, comfortable and clean room with comfy bed, good breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great staff and location

I booked last minute and arrived late at night. David, at reception, did not yet have the booking information yet greeted me warmly and quickly made arrangements for my stay. Everyone at reception was helpful and welcomed my questions. They were happy to suggest ‘normal’ attractions as well as those less visited by tourists. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had some traditional Czech salads; it was nice to have something local and Elena happily explained each dish to you. Location was very convenient – main attractions were an easy walk away. Even those further out could be reached by walking in under 30 minutes. The hotel is on a fairly busy street, but aside from one Friday night, I did not hear noise late into the evening. I enjoyed my stay!

Awesome place

This hotel is located in the heart of the Prague city centre. Everything is within walking distance. Old town is 10mins walk n it's next to a Starbucks. It just cannot get any better. 5mins walk from the best Irish pub in Prague. Very safe n nice atmosphere around. Perfect place. Will definitely book here again!! Not tht expensive either.

Good location but No Internet

The hotel locates in very good location in center of Wenceslas Square & only few steps of Mustek metro station. Furniture is classic style & the bed cover is old. The hotel does not have any internet services. The breakfast is good but not continental I mean it has to be more varied. Overall, the price is good with the location & the presented services.

the only thing is that we missed the hotel entrance a couple of times because the sign points as if the hotel is inside the building, but in fact, it is at the side of the main entrance to the building... but all in all, we are extremely pleased with the hotel and its staff...

Very Good Hotel

This hotel is very conveniently located, right in the center of the tourist district, and travel to most places in the city is a breeze. Also, the hotel staff are really helpful, and the maids clean your room daily. There's free internet in the room, and complimentary breakfast. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay, near all the action in Prague, this is it.

Good Choice for Long Stay

Rokoko is clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and it has an extensive breakfast bar. The bath room was also clean. The Hotel seems to cater primarily to visitors and tourists.

The is central and ideally suited for using the trams, the metro and intercity trains. The character of the neighborhood is primarily local and Czech shopping rather than touristy. Several department stores, book stores, enclosed malls and restaurants are nearby. There is some seediness on the square but it is always bustling and we did not feel unsafe. Generally we felt safe everywhere in Prague.

Prague is glorious, much larger than we expected and the charming medieval street plan was almost always disorienting. We used several different maps - the hotel has a good one. We found the small Lonely Planet Encounter guide to be most handy. The hotel staff was helpful with directions and schedules.

The Rokoko does not have WIFI but you can connect for free in your room if you bring a wire that will connect your computer to a standard telephone jack. If street noise bothers you, ask for a room on the back of the hotel.

If you have only a few days in Prague you will probably spend much of it across the river. We enjoy walking and this wasn't a problem for us but Rokoko is a long (but very interesting) walk from the castle district.

We enjoyed the Rokoko very much and recommend it highly with the few caveats mentioned above.
