All good except 50e to rent a cart!

Here for the golf: interesting course, comfy accommodation and good food at the all you can eat Sens buffet. Green fee is in line with other courses on island BUT the first tee is a long way from the pro shop and hotel (the practice ground is even further) so it is impractical to play without a cart. Whilst one might tolerate 25e extra to hire a buggy to be charged 50 if there are 2 people using it is just plain wrong. Sort this out please!

Only had 2 nights but our room was in need off redecorating. Our balcony had no sun all day and was extremely windy and door didn’t seem to want to stay shut. Buffet style restaurant is not to our liking - food was not hot and some people were extremely rude and wouldn’t queue.
Staff were all very attentive and helpful.

It’s a great property. I don’t think it’s a family resort but they try to accommodate child free zones with child friendly zones. I think they need to choose or flip the child free zones to larger areas as the pool was jammed and the massive pools were empty. Other than that - its beautiful but I wouldn’t come back with kids.

It is out of the way of everything so a bit of an oasis of peace and quiet (except the building work going on at the moment opposite the hotel!) But if you want a relaxing place to stay away from the hustle and bustle its a great choice. You have to go half board as there are limited dining options avaliable around the property. Food is an excellent choice and staff cant do enough. Would return in a heartbeat.

Paradise. Absolute Paradise. This resort was by far the best resort we have ever stayed in. The property and the setting was unparalleled. We enjoyed every minute of our time here. The pools, the restaurants and the bar were amazing. Our two favorite staff members Barbara and Silvano served up the most AMAZING drinks my husband and I have ever tasted. We enjoyed ending our nights with them. Hats off to this resort, they really are doing things right!

A really fantastic week spet here, so much we are already looking to book up again. The resort is in a stunning setting, our block that we were in was at the far left, very quiet with moutain, golf course and sea vies (in the Drago building). We are a couple and were concerned about having kids by the pool but there is an adult only pool on the roof that gets the sun all day that was so relaxing and beautiful! The food was exceptional, great choice for breakfast and evening meals always had fresh fish, meat and then a themed choice too! I would only recommended staying half board as there are no other dining options in the area and it was excellent. We had a car for the week to explore but there is a shuttle bus you can use that goes down to maspalomas. All staff were freindly and we cant wait for another week of relaxation.

This was a return visit following a short stay in February 22.
It exceeded our expectations in all aspects.
Angela on Reception was courteous and helpful making our stay truly memorable.
All the staff were polite and professional. Our room was beautiful with an air of peace and tranquillity- and it was spotlessly clean.

Luckily it had an adults only pool area!

The location of the hotel is amazing, away from it all with incredible views. There is nothing to do around it but that suited us well.

The hotel is VERY child friendly. Thankfully they had an incredible adults only pool and bar area with incredible views in a separate area.

The included buffet breakfast and dinner gets a bit boring and feels very chaotic and uncivilised for a 5* resort. Having an adult only restaurant section at the bufffet would have improved our experience greatly, for those that chose to travel without children. Screaming children at 9pm was frustrrating. We did travel in the school holidays though.

Overall though a good hotel though if you like big resorts with lots of people.

A wonderful surprise

I recommend this hotel complex to anyone seeking comfort and professionalism.
All staff were courteous and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Front desk were wonderful and made us feel individual- as one would hope for from a privately run hotel .

This resort stands out, no doubt. It was nothing short of amazing. We visited in March 2019 for our 1 year anniversary and months later, I had to make sure that I wrote this review because our time here was so amazing. The staff go above and beyond, the restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner each night was superb. The food exceeded our expectations being freshly made whilst still having variety. The atmosphere and decor was excellent too. Our only mistake, was not booking it for longer. For the first time on a holiday, we felt we left too soon and didn't get an opportunity to explore everything they have on offer. So we want to go back. The only downside for us is that the island during March is quite windy and not as hot as we'd like, but the sun was still out and we loved the quietness of the resort at this time.

Amazing Hotel

We had an amazing stay at the Salobre Hotel and Resort. The location is spectacular, in the south of Gran Canaria, up in the mountain with amazing views and just a few minutes drive from Meloneras, Playa del Ingles and Megan. The hotel has an incredible ambiance, blending perfectly with nature. Service was perfect from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to the manager Arturo who was extremely helpful with tips on activities and places to visit around the island. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower and amenities. The balcony overlooking the mountains and the golf course was a great plus. There are several pool areas around the property and guests can have as much privacy as they want. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, both as far as variety and quality.
The restaurants in the property are also quite good. We tried Sidecar and S Club (if I am not mistaken) and food and service were excellent. S Club has live music in the evenings which was very enjoyable.
I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again.

Excellent hotel in peaceful location

My daughter and I loved this hotel and will definitely return in the future. The hotel is very well designed and never felt crowded. The facilities are excellent, with different pools on different levels, gym with lots of classes and spa. We spent most of our time around the infinity pool and the sunset bar, where the views were incredible. Our room was modern and clean, with a great balcony complete with chaise longue to catch the morning sun. There was a wide range of foods at both the breakfast and dinner buffets, which catered even for my fussy, nearly vegetarian daughter. The hotel staff were lovely and the service was excellent.

Probably the best place to stay on the island

We had stayed here week ago. The hotel is based in between a mountain (hills). Once you entering a hotel complex, you can feel that it is kind of small village hidden in the hills. Stunning view from hotel rooms are priceless. A hotel has a free bus transfer service to their own privet beach.
Check in was a bit slow, but understandable. A hotel is massive. Receptionist has a lot of to tell you, how to get from point A to B.
Our rooms were on 8 floor with a stunning view to the sea and hills. Rooms were specious enough for 2 people and had all equipment we needed (hairdryer did not work, but its happened). In general rooms were spotless , same as all public areas.
I would recommend , just leave your luggage and go straight up to 11th floor and enjoy a salty warm water infinity pool with a great view. Very relaxing. Sun bed area is great, very big and you can easily find a space to lay down and rest.
A hotel main restaurant is the best so far I had seen. A buffet equipment and a selection of food it had been offered is enormous. Freshly cooked, and extreamly tasty. Great Job Chef! Waiting staff works as big happy team. Very attentive and makes you feel warm welcome. A floor manager Veronica, did a great job by looking after us. Five star service.

Perfect birthday getaway

Lovely hotel - stayed here for four nights for my 39th birthday. It's enormous, with seven pools - so plenty of space, and incredibly relaxing. The staff are friendly, and helpful - and I'd recommend spending an evening or day in the spa. I'll definitely return! Ideal winter sun break.

Beautiful, friendly, great food

We had a very lucky stay at the hotel, being upgraded to a lovely suite with panoramic views. Everything we saw at the hotel was great quality. The rooms our friends stayed in (not upgrades!) were also really lovely and comfortable. The buffet had a great selection, and even enough vegan options to keep us happy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Spa experience was lovely. Only drawback was that the spa pool was not heated, and after a cloudy day was too cold to enjoy. (The main sunset pool was heated).
Hidden away in the hills, so be prepared to drive / rely on free shuttle bus if you want to go outside the resort for anything.

We thought the hotel was great, set back from the coastal and more built up part of the island it was tranquil and relaxing with stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The design of the hotel was stylish, creative and spacious and a pleasure to experience. Customer service very good and food delicious. An all round satisfactory stay at a beautiful hotel.

Not impressed very little for your money here

The beds were too hard the tea and coffee facilities hidden away. Sunbeds were very uncomfortable to lie on as had a metal pole jabbing into your back. The room was at front of hotel and the live entertainment started late and finished late so my child was kept awake. I was kept awake by this and also all the golf buggies and deliveries at 5/6am onwards. The food was very nice but not at all varied. The staff were delightful and helpful. Wouldn't stay here again. Very little children's entertainment even though states has a kids club and playground. One toddlers climbing frame doesn't constitute a children's playground!

Lovely hotel with an amazing view all around. Overall a perfect stay and would recommend to friends and family.
However on our third night of staying we decided to go into the town for a night out, when arriving back at our hotel they had hosted a big festival on one of the fields which we then where met by a lot of drunken teenagers which we found rather scary.
But overall it was a fantastic holiday! And would 100% return! :)

10 Days Chilling Out

Arrived on 11th March 2015. Picked up by arrangement with the hotel. At check in we were advised that we could upgrade to a corner suite for 100 euros extra per night, we were shown the suite and decided to take it. We had a corner suite on the tenth floor that was very spacious, a large bathroom with a free standing bath, a double unit with two sinks one side, a large vanity unit on the other side, both sides had huge mirrors. The bathroom had three large windows which let in lots of light. Televisions in both the bedroom and also the lounge area. The balcony was big with a table and chairs and also a sunbed.
We enjoyed relaxing on the eleventh floor and using the Bali style sun beds, it was very quiet and was a great place to chill out. we also enjoyed going to the pool bar for drinks and lunch

Buffet breakfast was very good with lots of options however we didn't try it in the evening as we like to have dinner served to us instead we used the a la carte restaurant which was excellent.

Overall we found the service was excellent with nothing being to much for the staff to make our stay most enjoyable, thank you to everyone.

Nice Classy hotel in a Quiet Area

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. We are a couple with 2 young children. (6&3) Our rooms and balcony were cleaned very well and at a reasonable time. Breakfast was excellent great selection. The a la Carte restaurant was very good. Throughly enjoyed the the steak, pork and fish dishes. Pools were good a very good selection. We enjoyed taking walks round the resort, played football on the resort pitch and basketball on the court. Wonderful place. Service was excellent at every level. Management is visible too which is rare in this day and age. A supermarket on site. Thank you.

NB. Nothing to do with the hotel. The nearest town was not very nice. It seems to attract unsavoury tourists. Although I found the local people very good.

Fabulous hotel

We just returned from a week's stay at this lovely Sheraton hotel. The hotel building and layout could not be faulted as it's very cleverly built into the mountains with swimming pools on different levels and the hotel is spacious, modern and clean. We saw teams of people continuously cleaning whilst we were there. The golf course is excellent and my husband enjoyed a couple of rounds with people he met during our stay. The spa looked stunning although I didn't actually get around to having a treatment. We went with our two boys age 12 & 9 and had a suite which worked brilliantly for us as its difficult to find rooms that suit families in decent hotels which aren't extortionately priced. The boys had a double sofa bed and an extra camp bed in one room with a TV and then there was a corridor with a row of wardrobes and our room with TV was at the other end. The balcony was huge and ran the length of the room with large bathroom, separate toilet and shower. We had half board so ate breakfast and dinner in the buffet most nights. The buffet was excellent with an enormous selection and variety of foods including middle eastern and sushi one night and seafood another. We tried the other restaurants for dinner but didn't rate either of them. My only criticism of the Sheraton would be that they don't do enough to cater for families and in particular for older kids.

Hotel was very nice, modern, clean and well maintained. Very little for kids of any age to do apart from one table tennis table. Could do with perhaps a pool table and games room. Rooms need to have a fridge in as water is expensive at the hotel although there is a shop behind the golf pro shop which sells water but there is no facility to keep it cold.

So this is a super hotel but if you are on your own and thinking of venturing out to just experience the local area then this isn't the hotel for you. There isn't even a shop or somewhere to buy water within walking distance, So if you are thinking of a beach holiday again this probably isn't the right hotel for you as you are a 30 min bus ride away and it is just a hassle.

Truly Relaxing.

Having been to Gran Canaria many times, we wanted a holiday that would offer the enviroment to totally switch off and relax. This hotel and it's location provided (by far) the most memorable experience we've had to date. Numerous pools and restaurants ensure all tastes are catered for. A perfect stay to relax and enjoy at Gran Canaria

Sheraton Salobre Golf & spa is a perfect place to stay if you want to experience silence, sport activities and spa. A perfect place away from the typical Canary tourist places, but not far - if you want to enjoy the beaches or nightlife in Maspalomas or Puerto Rico / Mogan. A very nice hotel, modern, luxury place, different from the \"regular\" all inclusive hotels you find on the island. The spa department is great, so is also the food, the staff, the rooms etc.

Fantastic hotel in wonderful location

Visited for a short break (16th - 21st February) and was extremely impressed with everything about this hotel. We arrived just around midnight to find two complimentary platters of cheeses, meats and fruit in our room - this was just what we needed after our long flight! The hotel facilities are excellent. There is a large choice of pools on different floors (although they aren't heated and were extremely cold!) and the sun decks at the Sunset bar on the 11th floor have amazing views across Gran Canaria. There was an amazing choice of food at the restaurant and the bar was not too expensive. Friendly staff and a modern, clean room also come as standard! Would definitely visit again.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly service. Fantastic place to take a quick sunshine break.
Here is the downside:

spa .... limited facilities although massage good.

hotel food lacked attraction (except breakfast buffet). We took the hotel bus to town each night and found local restaurants with much more character and flavour. Taxi back about 12 euros.

Would not stay here on my own as an older or very cautious person as hotel layout is confusing and corridors to rooms are open air.

Overall - highly recommended for a burst of quality rest in the sunshine.

Stunning location on side of the mountain with the main infinity pool at the highest point so spectacular views. Staff v polite and helpful, rooms specious, clean and modern. Slightly disappointed with food in evenings, for buffet main dishes you could choose what you wanted to be cooked but had to stand about waiting on it, and twice food was undercooked. Poor layout meant it felt crowded and hard to see what was on offer. Lots of choice though. Half board could choose restaurant and here food, and presentation better but service could be v slow with bizarre booking slots eg 8.08 pm. Sunset Bar food v disappointing had one awful experience really slow and food quality dire, needed more choice esp if you are there for a week or more. Also debris from previous evening was slow to be cleared up next day at main bar, gave poor impression as you walk though communal areas in morning. A golfers hotel though, and very busy - difficult to get times, need to plan well in advance. Rounds v slow expect 4.5 to 5 hours despite what they say in pro shop so don't let them sell you a full round after 2pm as you won't get round. It was dark by 6.30?
This sounds a bit negative but we did have a v enjoyable relaxing holiday in v good quality hotel.

Great if you love golf - very quiet.

A bit out of the way for some, the only access is via the motorway for so getting anywhere else is dependent on taxi or the hotel shuttle. I wanted somewhere quiet and it's that ok - wonderfully so. Hotel staff excellent, helpful and very friendly.

A very nice stay, just 15 min from downtown, they offer shuttle service between and the beach.

Nice service and nice facilities, a roof top pool for adults only and a seperate pool for kids, nice consideration.

Beautiful and quite scenery. Wonderful getaway, instead of staying amongst the crowd.

Fabulously relaxing hotel

My stay at the Sheraton was truly lovely and a great opportunity to relax from the moment I arrived to the time I left. Beautiful rooms, calming interiors, fantastic views, great facilities, it would be hard to fault any part of my stay. The spa too, was wonderful enabling further relaxation with beautiful views both here and from the rooftop pool to the sea. A must visit if you are looking to unwind and get away from it all.

Looking for luxury?

The Sheraton is a fantastic hotel, set away from the hustle and bustle of Maspalomas. Luxurious with good food, spa facilities and awesome pools, this is a great place to have a break! The staff are very helpful, and the service excellent - they made us feel right at home. The exception was the reception staff who were at times a bit frosty especially once we'd checked out.
Otherwise a superb place.

Great relaxing stay

For a relaxing trip, the Sheraton Salobre has it all. The sunset pool is ideal if you want to pass your day taking in the sun.
I thought it was a great the hotel offers the free service of the shuttle bus although there could have been a later one.
The food, although I only had one dinner there wasn't great for a fussy eater like myself, €34 euros for 3 pieces of chicken isn't great & the other two restaurants should be open all week.
Drinks are over priced, but that is understandable.
The shower in the room was either hot or cold, was a nightmare having a shower in it.
The worst part about my holiday was when we checked out, we checked out at midday, told we would then receive a courtesy room as we wouldn't be leaving until 5pm. So once we needed to get ready for pick up, the guy (first I had saw of him), told me no courtesy room, use the spa. Tried the spa, full of visitors plus we had 2 cases, complained & ended up in my old room I had to leave at midday that hasn't been cleaned. The guys attitude stank, not a friendly person at all

great holiday for stress relief

I loved the 11th floor. The cocktails should be changed more often, and for single travellers like me, I'd have like to see the full a-la-carte menu available as room services, together with a larger selection of new world wines. The Taps bar was too dark and the gym needs better lighting and more equipment. I still really loved it though!

Relaxing stay

Away from the hustle of mas palomas but exactly what we needed and wanted. Infinity pool and 5 other pools to choose from without having to fight for a sun lounger. Friendly staff and a good choice for the breakfast and dinner buffets.

I would say more like 4 star than 5. Food was ok pretty much the same buffet every day. We were not informed that the spa and bar 230 were under renovation, Shower had a mind of its own, airconditioning hardly worked anywhere.

Not your usual 5* Sheraton more 4* but an excellent location for golfers

We enjoyed relaxing and golfing but were dissappointed with the level of service. The breakfast was very good but the bars and restuarants were very poor, the service and the food. The bus shuttle to the beach house was a great service. We joined in the New Year Gala Dinner and this was excellent, the food, the service, the organisation and the entertainment. We would not stay here again as it is a cold atmosphere but would certainly golf here. The food at the golf club was very good.

Slightly different hotel

Had a short trip here - rained 2 days but beautiful sunshine other 2 days.
Is desert-themed- lots of cacti and aloe vera planted around the hotel. The view from the top of the hotel is all Maspalomas sand dunes/scrub land. The corridors are mostly made of black stone which makes it rather dark but it's certainly different and striking.

Food was great - lots of choice at buffet including a grill where they custom cook steak/fish in front of you and they change the dishes everyday.
Sunset pool (heated) on 11th floor was amazing when the weather was good. There are at least 4 other pools. The pool area is clean and pleasant.
The spa was small and basic but clean and the staff were lovely.Only problem was that it got rather crowded when it was raining - they should really limit the number of visitors to about 8 otherwise it's not very relaxing. Also one of the steam rooms was broken and the other had a reserved sign on it so we couldn't use the steam on 2 days.
Room reasonably large with balcony. Bathroom spacious and clean. Only change I would make is that there is a clear window in the shower partition between room and shower which is a bit inconvenient unless you are travelling with your other half.
Clientele mostly older, golfing types. No young drunken people out on the lash.
Not much in the immediate vicinity apart from the golf course but the hotel on a free shuttle bus down to the town by the coast where there is a nice eating/shopping boulevard overlooking the sea.

A new winter sun destination

Great hotel, well designed and well run. Meals good quality - breakfast buffet has EVERYTHING you could wish - but expensive, particularly water and remember you are some distance from anything else so are a captive audience. Would I go back? Definitely and as my title suggests perfect for a relaxing winter break.

Jag älskade anläggningen men de behöver lite hjälp med att organisera service för jag är så trött på appar. Musik underhållning är lite för gammal tråkig musik. Annars var de flesta väldigt vänliga. Det är en retreat även för såna som reser själva.

En deilig oase tjue minutters kjøretur fra kysten. Særlig fint var området oppe, med gode solstoler og kafe/bar. Lur fordeling der barnefamiliene kunne bruke flere fine bassenger, mens oppe-området hadde 16-årsgrense. fine verandaer. Den italienske restauranten ved inngangen til området er en tjue minutters spasertur unna, og er helt super.
