Stayed here twice before, starting to look a bit rough around the edges, unfortunately. A lot of the little extras that were there are now missing too. Rooms were clean and tidy, kitchen had everything you might need. Comfy bed and large balcony, overlooking the sea. (No cushions outside any more). Shower flow was poor and hot water ran out quickly, the shower gel wouldn’t dispense until after you’d taken your hand away and then it ended up on the floor. Front of house staff and lifeguard were very friendly and polite

we had a lovely few days, the staff were friendly, the hotel was close to good restaurants and walking distance form the beach and the marina, the pool area was lovely with enough sun loungers, the pool restaurant service was very good . lovely views from our apartment too, all in all a good stay, we will stay here again

We had a very nice stay during our trip. Location was very nice, close to supermarket and many restaurants nearby. Also walking distance to the marina and the beach. Room was clean and spacious. Staff in the breakfast/bar area were super friendly. Nice swimming pool and very friendly life guard.

Fabulous stay, all of the staff were brilliant at their jobs and so friendly. Happy hour is from four to six and is great value as it’s two for one, bar is run by Vibe and there are other great deals on throughout the day
Apartment was super and cleaned regularly, the cleaners were simply the best. Slight hill to get to apartment but not too bad at all.

The hotel is in a great location, over looking a beautiful harbour. The staff are all very friendly and check in was nice and easy. The appointment was large , spotlessly clean . With everything you needed to make our stay perfect. Very comfortable bed , good shower and the safe was included. No daily hire rate. Large balcony with an awning and great views. Lovely swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. The bar was very nice , large choice of drinks and food . The food was very good , at good prices. Will definitely be going back to this hotel.

Overall a really nice stay. Hotel was clean, staff all friendly and welcoming. The vibe pool bar was very good for food, drinks in the day etc. It's on a hill so is steep to walk back to, but not that bad. Plenty of older couples were managing it fine. Supermarket over the road very handy if self catering or B&B. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and taxi rank which was handy and cheap. Would recommend

Lovely hotel, everywhere spotlessly clean. Rooms so well equipped, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponges cloths provided. Stayed in superior room that had full sea view/harbour view. Lovely big balcony with table chairs and sun loungers with total privacy. Free safe, air con, shuttle bus to Amadores beach.

Excellent location, all rooms with a stunning sea view. Spacious and comfy room.
Very nice room cleaning staff.
Pool is worth a 8.5/10, you can swim surrounded by the mountains and gazing at the ocean :-) there was just a little issue with the water recycling system.
Lunch service at the pool a little slow.

It is definitely not a 4 star complex. Location is very good, close to Puerto Rico centre and beach. Very good restaurants across the road. The cleaning lady very nice.
Unfortunately cocroaches in the apartment. We stayed in multiple different places in Gran Canaria and never came across that many of them if at all. Swimming pool was not heated for a couple of days. Water was freezing and kids got sick. It seemed to be warmer towards the end of out stay but it looks like it's an ongoing issue and is not permanently fixed as they claimed. The female lifeguard was very unpleasant and looked like she didn't want to be there at all. Constantly giving out to people for any reason she could think of.....it was totally over the top as the pool was quiet and it felt like even swimming in it was a crime. The male lifeguard was a bit more pleasant. Pool bar quite good. Nice drinks, nice staff and happy 2 hours - great value. Overall very average standard. Would not be rushing back

Exceeded our expectations, we were in room 3, absolutely huge balcony, watched the sunset over the sea every night. Super clean, great shower and facilities in the room, comfy bed. Lovely large pool with lots of sunbeds. Across the road was a supermarket and a selection of the best restaurants in PR, also an irish bar which served the best English breakfast. A 10 minute short walk down to the beach or a taxi was around 5e. Could'nt fault the hotel, highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Puerto Calma.
The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, which made our holiday a breeze. There was plenty of activity leaflets to browse through and easy to book.
The air-conditioning in the apartments were very good, however we would have loved a little information booklet to help us change the language and use it as well as the oven & hob.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great views and a really good location for sun, sunsets and walks. No problem with parking for free on the street. Nice room and friendly staff. We didn't use the restaurant as there's plenty of restaurants in the area walkable by foot.

Lovely 1 week stay in February , with 2 teenagers . Pool was great , plenty of sunbeds and quiet. Food at hotel was limited would have liked some healthy options . Breakfast was again basic but plenty for what we needed . Only one member of staff serving at one time , at busy times in particular breakfast this was not enough.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk to main beach and amentieis however across the road from the hotel is a great supermarket, Irish bar and a number of lovely restaurants.

Two bed apartment very spacious and very clean , view from all rooms is stunning

Overall a really nice hotel with minor negatives . I would return next year

Stayed 14 nights had to get onto reception to get sheets changed after 9 nights .rooms only cleaned on mondays . We arrived back to our apartment at 5 in the afternoon on day of cleaning to discover our apartment door was left open all day . Had to go to reception to get clean towels .

My family stayed here (3 children - 9, 7, & 5) and we absolutely loved it. The view toward the beach was amazing. It was wonderful sitting on the balcony at night watching the sunset. The walk to the nearest beach took us about 10 minutes. There is a great running trail options around here with a point of interest (i.e. stairs) that you can tackle. The staff was friendly and helped us with any and everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

It’s a nice hotel and fine location. Free parking next to the hotel depending on availability. Rooms are nice but the mattress is not to good for a 4 star hotel! Also I can’t give a hotel to manny stars that allows smoking at the poolside and in front on the restaurant. We never found the gym that’s supposed to be there.

A really good choice

Loved this complex . Apartment was really modern and immaculately clean . We are a family of four and there was plenty of room , the balcony was huge and doors opened from the bedroom and the lounge which was useful . Huge fridge freezer , dishwasher , microwave and hob . Safe in the wardrobe and ample clothes storage . The pool area was lovely , pool heated , bar serving food aswell . We paid to have breakfast and it was well worth it . 0830-1100 and although a small area there was a good selection and was constantly refreshed . Sausages bacon beans and eggs . Salami cheese tomatoes cucumber . Fruit and yoghurt . Bread and pastries . Cereals . Coffee teas and juices . The staff were all hard working and very friendly . Beautiful views over the marina and easy walking distance to all restaurants bars and shops . Would definitely recommend .

Wi fi was annoying as you have to keep on logging in and sometimes it just drops.i had to use my own data connection most of the time.instructions for safe were incorrect.it doesn't tell you that you have to put your pin no in twice when setting up.pool is very small and not really suitable for swimming.

Very good hotel overall, the pool bar needs an overhaul and a new menu (pizzas and pastas are not good). Pool is great, heated to 27°C and no fights for benches while we were there (in oct/nov). Very good restaurants nearby and great atmosphere downtown. Good for families, not many young people partying. Clean and beautiful area with great views. Short boat trip to Amfi beach which is a must, where you find another great beach with restaurants and nice scenery.

Liked the huge balcony and apartment was very modern and clean. A nice touch with a welcoming pack of cake tea coffee milk and bottle of wine. Felt apartment was small for 4 people not enough wardrobe or drawer space and no mirror in the bedroom. Pool was small and didn't open till 0930hrs which wasn't ideal. Sun terraces were small and packed close together. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a supermarket just mins walk away along with some restaurants and an irish pub which wouldn't recommend.

Decent Property Several Faults

This is a well-appointed and maintained property with friendly staff. The views across the port are stunning and there is an excellent range of restaurants and bars within a few minutes’ walk. However before choosing it for your well-earned holiday you should be aware of some draw-backs. There are only very limited facilities on site if you don’t want to face steep steps to get in and out of the site. The in-house cafe/restaurant closes unbelievably at 5.30pm and the offering in any case is extremely limited. No evening entertainment. The air conditioning just about copes if left on constantly. The WiFi code drops out every time you turn your phone off and the code is cumbersome in any case. We paid £110 for transfers from the airport and back via private car, but the return trip was actually provided by an ancient disabled minibus. Traffic trundles up and down a busy road right in front of your apartment, rendering the balcony unusable for most people. The overall impression is one of a good facility, neglected and under-used because it’s in the wrong place. This no doubt is why, although it is in theory a members’ club, accommodation is readily available to the casual holiday market.

Good location. Within walking distance of Puerto Rico, but there were other restaurants and a supermarket across the road if you didn’t want to walk too far. Used the local buses to get around, but also managed the coastal walk to Amadores beach, which was lovely. The resort was lovely and clean and I wouldn’t hesitate to return there.

Second year in a row, and won't be the last

Second year in a row we've been here. Rooms are great. We go for block B, looking out to the harbour. Balcony here gets the sun from morning until sunset. Balcony is huge, with a table & chairs and 2 loungers. Pool is great, and was heated while we were there (7 days from 31st March), though heating appeared to have been switched off for the last couple of days, which is fair enough. Always able to get a sun lounger round the pool. 5 minute walk to supermarket, which is great, and to Irish pub and various restaurants and takeaways, some better than others, but a decent choice and range of prices. 10-15 minute walk to beach and more restaurants.

We stayed with our 2 teenage children for 2 weeks and we loved it! Rooms are cleaned 5 days a week and adequate towels and toiletries are provided. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. As per the other reviewers, traffic noise and the noise from the nearby Irish pub can be an issue. There is a swimming pool with sun lounge on site. The pool has a lifeguard during opening hours.

The hotel is located at an elevation overlooking Puerto Rico port. Amadores beach is about 25 min walk from the hotel and it is great for a swim, sunbath, watersports etc. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and the beach. A HiperDino Express and Spar are nearby for self-caterers.

Don't forget to pay a visit to the markets in Puerto de Mogan on Fridays. Anfi beach, Playa del Ingles and the dunes in Maspolamas are good places worth visiting which are a short taxi ride away from the hotel.

Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Puerto Rico. The hotel is very clean, the apartments are very big with a larger than normal balcony. The swimming pool is warm and to the back of the hotel so very private. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Hôtel très calme avec grande et jolie piscine. Le personnel à la réception est très courtois et professionnel. Les chambres sont spacieuses et pratiques avec coin cuisine équipé avec tout ce qu’il faut. La literie est très confortable ( lits double 180) Mais le meilleur de cet hôtel réside dans les spacieuses terrasses idéales pour la farniente et les repas face à la mer.

Restauranten på hotellet er virkelig ringe. Maden om aftenen er tør og kedelig men billig.
Meget larmende diskotek show mens man spiser.
De nederste etager der er altanerne generet af trafik og udstødningsgas.

Extra plus för väldigt bra service i receptionen.
Vi bokade de luxe lägenhet o hade sol från lunch o framåt. Lugnt poolområde o bra poolbar. Det enda vi saknade var morgonsol.

Séjour agréable mais quelques inconvénients à note

Nous avons récemment séjourné au Club de Vacances Puerto Calma et avons trouvé plusieurs aspects positifs. Les points forts incluent une piscine bien entretenue, des locaux propres, un accueil chaleureux, une magnifique vue sur la mer, un parking gratuit et une bonne climatisation dans les chambres.

Cependant, quelques points faibles ont terni l’expérience. Premièrement, l’utilisation de la salle de sport est facturée 6 € par jour, ce qui peut s’ajouter rapidement sur un long séjour. De plus, il n’y avait aucune animation pendant notre séjour, ce qui était décevant pour un club de vacances. Enfin, bien que la vue sur la mer soit impressionnante, l’isolation phonique des chambres face à la mer laisse à désirer. Le bruit des voitures, bus et motos était clairement audible la nuit, ce qui a rendu le sommeil difficile.

En conclusion, bien que l’hôtel offre de bons services et installations, il y a certainement place à amélioration, surtout en ce qui concerne l’isolation phonique et les activités proposées.

Cet avis équilibré reflète à la fois les aspects positifs de votre séjour ainsi que les inconvénients que vous avez expérimentés, offrant ainsi une perspective honnête pour de futurs visiteurs.

Muchas incidenccias

Aunque tenia aire acondicionado no funcionaba porque el detector de puerta del salon estaba roto y por tanto era cono si siempre estuviera, roto. Otro problema es que desde el miércoles se habia roto algo del motor de la piscina y el agua estaba helada, una de las razones por lo que siempre escogemos este lugar ahora no tiene esta gran ventaja. Me cuesta creer que no tengan un servicio técnico para arreglarlo en cuatro dias que estuvimos.

Great for a relaxing vacation

Nice, clean and spacious room/apartment with a big terrace.
Even though we had not booked with sea view, we still had a beautiful view and sun in the afternoon. Great place for a relaxing holiday. Very close to shop and restaurants. Fully equipped kitchen.

Toppenhotell i utkanten av Puerto Rico.

Toppenhotell , med bra läge lite utanför nattpulsen i puerto Rico. Otrolig terass med både solsängar , sittplats , markis och dynor . Fullt utrustat kök Liten men jättevarm pool , prisvärd Lunch och affär några hundra meter bort, där även en mindre Galleria finns med några riktigt bra restauranger . Uppgraderar man ett steg får man havsutsikt med fantastisk utsikt över båthamnen o får se solnedgången varje kväll.. Väl värt då man annars hamnar mot en bakgata med begränsad sol . Kommer absolut tillbaka .

God beliggenhet, deilig, skjermet bassengområde. Veldig hard seng. Ikke rengjøring alle dager. Elektrisk juicepresse var et pluss! Ettermiddagssol på verandaen dersom man har rom med sjøutsikt. De andre rommene er vendt mot nord.

Hyggelig, engelsktalende betjening. Leiligheten var utstyrt med alt man trenger. Stor veranda med utsikt mot havna og med solnedgang i sjøen. Dobbeltseng (ikke twin beds) er et pluss, men sengen var nokså hard. Det hørtes godt når det ble flyttet rundt på stoler og solstoler i leiligheten over, deres veranda var rett over vår stue/soverom.
Flott basseng og bassengområde. Bar og restaurant var ok, ikke overimponert over maten, men god stemning og flott med underholdning. Alt i alt er supert opphold!

Déception sur l'emplacement

Nous avons réservé un séjour de 10 jours. Notre appartement était un RDC avec vu sur le port, certes, mais avec le bruit constant de la route juste devant la fenêtre. Impossible de profiter de la terrasse. Le premier jour nous avons demandé la possibilité de changer pour un appartement à un étage supérieur. Tous les jours nous avons vu des départs de clients mais puisque nous avons réglé ils n'ont jamais voulu nous changer d'appartement.

We, a married couple, chose the hotel based on good reviews. No one pointed out that building B and its first floor are very close to a noisy highway. We were very upset and the staff did not help us move to a quieter room. I recommend the hotel, but only building A or the high floor of building B.
