There were two ACs (living room and bed room) which made everything super comfortable. We also had two patios which was great. There was nothing for basics (oil, salt, pepper, sugar etc). So cooking was somewhat limited but there were 3 plates, bowls, forks, a pot and a pan which worked well enough. The complex is really well kept and clean. Two pools with lots of seating; although it only gets afternoon sun from about 11-4/5. I’m not sure about cleaners, we had someone try to get the key for our room out of the lock box several times (which we had with us) but no one ever knocked or left a note. I have no idea if there is cleaning during your stay, we didn’t experience any. There are two body towels and two pool towels. No extra blankets, hand towels or face towels. We were in the top floor and it’s a little loud with the quads and bikes driving by but not unreasonable.

We had a great stay, the room was very clean, and kitchen utensils, pans, microwave and coffee maker were provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Bikes were available for 100 peso, cheaper than any other rental spot in the area. Located within walking distance to restaurants and grocery store, but far enough from the busy area that it was quiet and peaceful at night.

Clean room and quiet setting. Walking distance to restaurants, taco stands, and markets. Loved having the kitchen, but the knifes were very dull and no kettle (minor things). I would absolutely recommend this hotel to family and friends. A place to hang towels would be nice as replacements were not easily available.

The pro is that the condo is well-furnished, the bed is big and soft, and you have everything you need for a comfy stay. Negatives: This is condo living and not a hotel so manage your expectations around staff being present and engaged. With that said, I found the staff unwelcoming (when they were there at all). Particularly the male staff (one of them looked at me with DISDAIN, ignored me when I greeted them). Literally none of them ever greeted or spoke to me. It felt weird and unwelcoming. I ultimately left early.

The condo was spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable! The hot water in the shower didn't last long, but it was fine. They offer bicycle rentals for 100 pesos per day and it's less than 30 minutes ride to the beaches, 10 to the grocery store, and 15 ish to downtown. There is a pool, a gym, and parking available. We felt very safe there and it is within easy walking distance to some cheap taco stands and nicer restaurants, though the kitchen was very handy and we cooked daily. The staff is friendly and warm. We loved our stay and would stay again.

We go to Tulum a couple of times a year specifically to stay at Panacea. We love the pool and the generally calm vibe as well as the fast growing neighborhood. Usually, it’s just the relaxing recharge we need, but unfortunately , this time, they were doing repairs and there was sawing and drilling going on which definitely made it less relaxing. Overall, still great, but I will be sure to ask if they are doing any work before our next trip.

Gorgeous condos that are very modern, spacious, and comfortable. Very quiet and relaxing with lovely views of the pool/garden area. Secure passcode entry and a manned front desk, hosts are also very easy to contact via WhatsApp. There are plenty of nice food options nearby too - would definitely recommend Vereda Del Abasto for breakfast/lunch and Pepe’s Tacos in the evening!

A minor improvement could be the cleaning of the pool area as there were lots of leaves and bugs in the pool at times, and the lounger cushions were quite damp and stained.

This isn’t the fault of Panacea but it is important to keep the receipt when the 200USD hold deposit is returned at checkout (especially if you’re from the UK like us!) otherwise the bank can take a long time to return it.

Also this area in general is probably best suited to people who drive/cycle as attractions like cenotes are quite far to walk in the heat and taxis are very expensive in the area (i.e. $20 for a short drive to the ADO station).

Overall though we loved the condo and would definitely stay again for a relaxing trip!

Pancea hotel felt like a beautiful oasis on the outskirts of town. Our room was huge and accommodated our family of 5 nicely. We had some issues with communication with the hotel prior to our arrival and were dropped off at the door of the compound not knowing how to get in, so I wish we had a bit more explanation around that as we tried numerous times to contact them prior to our arrival. Also, I don’t think there was any cleaning service if the room during our stay. Maybe you had to ask for it? Again, just limited communication or instruction on how things ran there. There was talk and pictures of breakfast on their site but that was also a service not available during our stay. The staff were kind and helpful when we had questions or issues. And the pool and grounds were so beautiful and quiet. The location was a bit inconvenient for our family of 5 to get anywhere but that was an overall Tulum problem for us. For the price, we definitely felt the room and hotel grounds were a great value and would recommend this place for anyone going to Tulum.

Very meh for the price

Disappointing experience. Room was not cleaned at all during 6 night stay. Cockroaches under kitchen sink. They never emptied our garbages even. The lock on our door broke and they didn’t fix it so we had an unlocked condo for most of the trip.

Location is ok, the road is pretty bad leading to it through massive water puddles to walk around but that’s most of Tulum. Not great value for the money.

The residential suite was amazing, we had a large living room, kitchen and gorgeous balcony with a pool and garden view. The hotel staff were very friendly and we met Fifi, the hotel cat. This area is under construction, specifically the road next to the hotel, so having a rental car made it easy to explore. This property was very quiet and felt safe, we had the pool all to ourselves. Great place to avoid crowds!

Beautiful oasis inside the courtyard of the hotel. The suites have lots of room inside and the staff was very friendly. This place was very relaxing and was super quite as it was set on the outskirts of downtown attraction. Breakfast was included in our stay. So that was a nice touch. Prices are reasonable. Overall I would love to come back as I feel I had the most peaceful stay and my room felt like a vacation home.

Hotel Panacea is located in a very quiet neighborhood and area that's coming up; therefore, I enjoyed my stay very much. I felt safe and welcomed each time I left and came back to the hotel. I love the fact that each room, kitchen and living room in the apartment has it's own AC. I also appreciate every attention to detail of how clean the apartment is left and how good it smells once the cleaning crew is done. Every time I would come back to my apartment I would be surprised to a cute towel shape/folding. Those are the small things that make me feel appreciated and welcomed. The front desk staff was wonderful. Always willing to talk and share some insight. The young men helping in the garden and pool always were very kind and hard working. Overall my stay was wonderful and would love to come back. The pool is big enough to relax and swim in it.

Hotel Panacea was beautiful. A great place to stay. We stayed in Room 8 and it was so spacious for 3 people. The kitchen area is great for those who want to prep meals in their room with plates, utensils, glasses provided, etc. There was no iron but we asked for one and just had to make sure it was returned to front desk. We did put a do not disturb sign so our room wouldn’t be cleaned up but they still did. We used pool a lot and is frequently cleaned. Front desk was able to order us food and taxi’s which was very helpful. The location is on a dirt road rather then cement. You are able to walk to eat but if you want to go to the Main Street where food is I would recommend a taxi. I will miss Fifi the hotel’s cat, she was so cute. I would definitely come back.

Everything about Hotel Panacea was great...friendly and helpful staff, beautiful suite, nice pool and pool area, clean. The only thing we want to point out is that the location is not really within walking distance to restaurants. We didn't have a car so we had to take taxis, which the front desk staff arranged for, they arrived quickly and they were readily available to get back to the hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Panacea Tulum in the residential suite (room 15) was so special. We stayed for a week and it really felt like home. The front desk staff Reuben, Daniella, and Lorena felt like family and I will miss them so much! What makes a place special are the people in it, and the friends we met in this hotel is priceless. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel for a unique, unforgettable experience.

Details:
Room: We initially booked the romantic loft with our own private pool due to COVID, but it didn't even have a table for us to eat. Therefore, we asked for a room change and were quickly accommodated. Our new room called the residential suite was incredibly spacious (around 1000 sq ft) with a kitchen, dining area, living room equipped with couch and TV, and a wonderful balcony w/ a lounge area and community table overlooking the pool. Our room got a ton of natural lighting as well and had such good energy. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious with rainfall water head. My only small complaint is that there was no soap to wash your hands, so we went to go buy some. Other than that, the room was perfecto.

Cleanliness: Everything was cleaned when we arrived and everyday until we left. Also a minor issue, they cleaned our rooms everyday despite us putting the do not disturb sign on and telling the front desk. They also charge 100 pesos for doing the dishes so we bought our own stuff to do it.

This place is amazing!! Just a heads up, they have a few different rules than the usual hotels in the states.
Only the guests registered in the room can stay overnight. Other guests can come visit from 10am until 10pm but have to leave their ID at the front desk while in property
Because of COVID they are strict about occupancy, since the police can and will come do occupancy checks.
They have an on-site security guard on the front door and property from 10p-10a so that’s a huge comfort.
They also have quite hours from 2p-5p, the owner is Italian and he does a traditional siesta during that time.
It’s a gorgeous property! Perfect for couples who want a nice quote place to relax and enjoy the sun. The property is top notch. The gym is amazing and well equity.
The staff are beyond helpful and speak Spanish well!
They have no coffee shop or restaurant on property but there is a food delivery service application called tomato you can use!
Most local restaurants close at 9:30
Love this place the most!! It’s quite and beautiful....

Quite simply one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The attention to detail is second to none. Everything is spotless throughout the hotel room and the hotel itself. The pictures were all accurate and it was better than the pictures in certain spots. The team at the hotel from reception, pool maintenance, security staff and cleaning staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and attentive. It was an oasis of peace and tranquility. I hired a bike from reception and it was a great way to see the town and get to the beautiful beaches. Thank you for making my trip so comfortable

We LOVED this property! The small staff was all super friendly and did whatever they could to make sure we had everything we could want. Due to travel restrictions the resort was basically empty and they were still operating as if it was full of guests. We had a private yoga session at the hotel that was really cheap but incredible & the property has a small but perfect gym. The property is new and everything is so well done from the front desk to the landscaping to every detail in between. We rented one of the penthouses with a private pool, it was everything we could have asked for. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
