Hotel is perfectly placed to explore all of Lisbon! It’s at the peak of a hill so be aware you’ll do a lot of walking to get anywhere but we loved the location!

Hotel and room were gorgeous! We were on the first floor and the only thing I would say is we could hear guests coming up and down the stairs but it didn’t bother us too much. Rooms were stunning with huge French doors out on to the street, can’t hear any road noise and it was gorgeous to look out on the city every morning. Unfortunately we did so much exploring that we couldn’t take full advantage of the bar but it looked great and all the staff were really friendly.

Some parts of the hotel looked a little tired; still masking tape on the staircase to the first floor and some of the flooring in our room was bubbling up but that is more feedback for the hotel rather than any criticism.

We genuinely loved our stay and would return

Great location and hip styling made this a very nice stay in downtown Lisbon. On top of a pretty good hill, make sure to ask about the free public elevator. Unless you’re specifically looking to get high grade steps in, this will save your legs. Staff were all super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Site is working through some construction, so were some rough spots, but nothing that got in our way

We had far higher expectations of this hotel given the price. In a city full of incredibly nice people, the staff at this hotel were uniquely unfriendly and made us uncomfortable throughout the stay. They avoided eye contact whenever we would pass by through the hotel and seldom greeted us as we came and went. They were also more than 30 minutes late at check-in and offered us nothing for the inconvenience. We selected this location because it was likely to be less close to the noisy center, but it ended up being noisy because of the construction. For the service and the noise, I would spend your money elsewhere in the other nice hotels close by. The only positive note was the bed, which was comfortable.

We had a nice breakfast, the hotel offered luggage storage after we checked out which was helpful. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful .

Nice location, clean building, cute and unique rooms, and we had a great view. The building is not the most accessible, it’s up on a steep hill from the town centre and the elevator is up some stairs. The room was tight so it was hard to get our luggage to fit since we had 2 larger suitcases. Unfortunately our suitcase didn’t fit on the shelf meant for it and the furniture is not rearrangeable otherwise it would have been better. We managed to make it work and enjoyed our stay but would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

Great central place to park yourself for your Lisbon vacation, so close to all the sights. I arrived on 8 am flight from JFK and arrived to hotel by 10 am. They can hold luggage until check in at 3 pm. They have a large bathroom area downstairs (no elevator) that I was able to brush teeth and change clothes in.
The room and bed were comfortable and spacious (by old Europe standards). I do wish the bathroom had more lighting, but it had great water pressure and blow dryer if needed. Shampoo and body wash available in room as well. Free drinking water (in refillable glass bottle) is available as part of your amenities and can be refilled on the daily. I was pleasantly surprised by the good soundproofing. My room faced the street and I could barely hear outside noise. I slept very well at night. Walking 20,000+ steps during the day prob also helped. Haha. A/C worked great. They do have a single small elevator that can carry you up to the rooms with your luggage.
Location was an easy walk to everything, including transit stations. I did not include the daily breakfast, nor did I go up to the terrace to see the views, so I can’t speak to those amenities. I would absolutely stay here again.
After leaving a few days to go to Porto, I flew back to Lisbon for one night and stayed here once more. They gave me room 5E for my second stay here. This room has gorgeous city views and was also very spacious. They even had a small bottle of complementary red wine in the room. Recommend!!

I booked this boutique hotel for my honeymoon, expecting a seamless and special experience. Instead, the day before our flight to Lisbon, we were targeted by a sophisticated phishing scam sent directly through this hotel’s official Expedia messaging portal. The hotel’s account was compromised, and because the message came from their official thread, I trusted it and my credit card details were stolen.
As a direct result of the hotel's lack of security, I had to spend the entire day before my honeymoon flight on the phone with my bank canceling my primary credit card. Traveling to Europe for our honeymoon without my main financial lifeline has caused an immense amount of stress and disruption.
When I reached out to the hotel to give them a chance to take accountability and make it right—whether through a room upgrade or a partial refund for the massive inconvenience—they offered absolutely nothing. Expedia acknowledged the breach on their end and provided a goodwill gesture, but the hotel itself showed zero accountability, zero customer service, and zero empathy for ruining the start of our honeymoon.
Do not trust this hotel with your data or your special occasions. Their security is compromised, and their management simply does not care about the fallout their guests experience

We had no Wi-Fi connection at all on the 5th floor. The hotel rooms are very small. However, the location is excellent and within walking distance of the city center. The breakfast was great as well.It is listed as a 4-star hotel on Google, but it definitely does not feel like one. I would probably skip this hotel and choose a better option for the price I paid.

This was a wonderful modern and comfortable place to stay close to the sights. I stayed in a single room and while small it was spacious enough for one and had everything I needed. The bed was a little firm for my liking and there was some street noise but I slept well. Breakfast was wonderful- the best I have had so far. The staff really sets the place apart as they were all so friendly and helpful. The terrace was pleasant but a bit overrated as there was only a view of the rooftops.

The amenities were great. I love that there’s a bar downstairs and there’s always a staff downstairs if you need any assistance.

The hotel was in a convenient location opposite a bus stop at the top of the hill. Our room was spacious, very clean, and provided with all our needs.

Perfect location for my first trip to Lisbon. My room was big with the balcony overlooking Equine Cosmopolitans rooftop terrace You can walk to superb restaurants and wine bars within 5 minutes. The location is 1 mile from the cruise port and a quick Uber 5 or 6 miles to the airport.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating, Bruno the hotel bartender recommended numerous restaurants and wine bars 🍸 in the area, he is a top notch mixologist!

Nice spacious room, staff were lovely and helped with bags when we came in. It is quite a hill so gave us water on arrival. Breakfast was good, not a tonne of selection but I liked everything they had. They also had options of cooked breakfast which was good and the hot chocolate was amazing loved it. Staff were always friendly when you walked past reception and at breakfast. The guy that checked us in recommended a lovely lunch place ended up turning out amazing and we loved the food and view. I would say lifts big enough for one person and the bags which is what me and my friend did. We had a lovely view which was nice, would say room is average size, does look a bigger in photos, but we weren’t too bothered. Bathroom however, could use improvement, two lights in their could use with even maybe one of two more as it was quite dark, also no windows so ended up with lots of condensation. Just about enough space for our staff, would say would be better with a few more hanging hooks or even bit more storage. But for a few days was a lovely hotel.

We loved our stay at Esqina. It was in a perfect location for us (we wouldn’t want to be any more into Baixa) and the staff were very friendly. We could leave our bags there for free before check in and 12pm checkout is very generous. The bottle of wine is also a nice touch! Breakfast was decent with a buffet and a choice of 2 of 3 hot options and a barista coffee. The only improvement is privacy in our room overlooking the balcony and breakfast area eg with frosted glass stickers as we had to keep all the blinds / curtains shut. Also some extra space to store or hang clothes would be appreciated but otherwise a great stay for a few days trip to Lisbon!

Pleasant enough stay but a few issues. We arrived late, & the building was locked. It took a long time to get someone to open up & let us in to check in. WiFi was not explained upon check in.
Got to the room & there was an open bathroom, which considering we asked for a twin room - mother & daughter - we didn’t particularly want to see the other showering!! Room 16 needs a screen or curtain you can divide the room up from the bathroom area, so that you have some privacy.
No milk for tea or coffee, even upon request we couldn’t have any (surely you supply this for breakfast?!) luckily a great supermarket is across the road for more coffee & milk supplies.
Room very hot, no remote available for the heater/air con unit to adjust it. Also waited ages for someone to serve us at the bar in the evening. If you like basic, then it’s a great location.

There was a overwhelming smell of bleach. I work in the NHS and it reminded me of the way hospitals used to smell.
The staff were all polite and helpful, but 45 minutes wait for breakfast and was told there was still two orders in front of ours. This could've been a temporary staff member, because nobody takes 40 minutes to make 4 omelettes.

The room was really clean, beds were made everyday whilst we were out as well as given fresh mugs for tea everyday, replacing the spare toilet paper when needed, given fresh towels mid week all without even having to ask. Staff were amazing, extremely welcoming and happy to give great recommendations. The outside terrace was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful . Mario deserves extra credit for his hospitality and going out of his way to help us with directions and our breakfast offering. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and although the drop coffee ran out Mario kindly made us a couple of cappuccinos. Our only issue was noise from pipes and upstairs that sounded like someone was pressure washing. We were notified at the front deal that it was an issue with tenants in the building.

We had a two week stay at Esquina, great location, ten minute walk to multiple city plazas, Sao Jorge Castle, Lisbon Cathedral, great grocery store right across the street, along with an elevator for reaching the higher parts of the neighbourhood, hundreds of restaurants, yet very quiet at night. We could actually see Sao Jorge Castle and the Tagus River from our balcony. Hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The value was fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Esqina Cosmopolitan Lodge. The location is perfect — just about a 10-minute walk to the main attractions, which made exploring the city incredibly easy and convenient.

The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Check-in went smoothly, and they even allowed us to leave our luggage before the room was ready, which we really appreciated. We were also able to check in a little earlier than expected.

The rooms were spotless — everything was clean, polished, and very well maintained. The hotel itself is beautiful in a simple, elegant way. It has a relaxed, stylish atmosphere that feels both modern and welcoming.

Another great feature is the bar, which is open all the time, along with a cozy cafeteria area that included room services. It was very convenient.

Overall, a fantastic experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
