We stayed at My Story Hotel Figueiro for 3 nights. Room was comfy and the bed was very nice. The restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast each morning was full of many choices, and everything was delicious. We ate two dinners there and some of the best food. Location was perfect. I would high recommend this hotel!!!!

This is a lovely , clean , centrally located hotel . The staff was very efficient and was always happy to help answer questions about directions , restaurants or special activities in the area . I stayed for 11 nights and it was most enjoyable. The location was perfect and many attractions were walkable from the hotel .
Thank you for making my first but certainly not last trip to Portugal memorable.

Beautiful location in the heart of Lisbon, easily walkable to major attractions of the city. I had a great corner room on the top floor with balconies looking out into the plaza. My bathroom had a bathtub but no shower, which I would have preferred. The hotel lobby is non-existent.

The Story Figueira has a good location which is fairly convenient for getting around. We had a horrible experience with the hotel in that the first night when we checked into the hotel, my husband was so tired that he felt asleep on the bed (without lifting the top bedsheet) and I didn't want to wake him up so I didn't turn on any lights and just lifted the bedsheet and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up i felt something on the bedsheet, I tough it and saw a couple of brown spots on my side of the bedsheet. I initially though its chocolate but then when I turned on the light and blinds I realized that it's feces. I got furious and went downstairs and told the receptionist. She asked me why I did not find out the night before and I explained to her the reason. She sent a couple of ladies from housekeeping and I took pictures and asked them to change all my pillow cases and sheets. My husband and I had to wash all our underwears, pyjamas and wipe down all the headboards, coffee tables, faucets etc. I then spoke to the hotel manager Alfonso Santos, front office manager in person and in whatsapp. I am shock that Mr. Santos did not even apologize but simply said the sheets have been changed. I then whatsapp the contact on the hotel card and he responded saying that the hotel offers \"impeccable\" standard of service and he \"firmly stands by his staff and company\". My husband and I own businesses in Canada and we would never ever treat our customers this way.

A great hotel experience

A perfect place to drop your bags for the Camino de Santiago. I dropped off my bags after staying one night before flying on to Paris for the start of my Camino experience.
I retrieved my bag upon my new returning reservation. The staff already had my bags in the room awaiting me. The food is a geat value and expertly prepared. It is very welcoming to be offered a free arrival drink.

Check in was quick. Check in counter is oddly located right next to the bar area. The hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient to get around especially on foot. The rooms and halls are very dark and gloomy, making it not very warm and inviting. Rooms were spacious with high ceilings. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of options.

Worst thing was air con...controlled by staff via till and with several bedrooms on the same circuit it meant when someone complained about being cold our air con was also turned off and our room quickly got to 25°and was far too hot for sleep. Good choice for breakfast but not so much towards the end of service. Very happy with the evening meal we had one night. Overall good value for money and would certainly return

Location is the winner here! The hotel is newish, but standard rooms are very small. I had the one that faced the side of the building and it was always very dark in the room. The reception staff is okay, but not warm or very friendly (which came as a true surprise). Also, please note that there is no lobby of any kind there- you open the door and step into a very busy restaurant. This was also strange. So, would I be back? No, I’ll look for a better boutique hotel in Lisbon. But you won’t regret it if you’re set to go there.

We enjoyed our stay at My Story Figueira. The staff on reception are very helpful & a shout out especially to Patricia who on our last day assisted us with our Taxi when a lot of roads were closed off for a run.
The hotel dining room is lovely & the food very good. The breakfast is plentiful but a little more guidance from the waiting on staff would be useful, pointing out the tea & coffee arrangements & also letting you know that the eggs need to be ordered from them, they show no interest in helping you.
The bedrooms however are tiny & there is only space for hanging clothes everything else had to stay in the suitcase, not one drawer. It's ok once you learn how to keep out of each others way.
The hotel is in a great location for getting around, close to tram stops, taxis, the train station which we used to get to Sintra (very easy) & 2 lifts just around the corner to get you up to the castle.
Many thanks once again to reception who helped us with all our trips out especially to Sintra.

Great location. Room OK in size. They clean every day - you just don't know when (once it was around 18:00). The only things that were missing in the room were drawers or shelves. breakfast was good, with lots of variety. Service: excellent!! At the restaurant, at the bar. Fabulous city break hotel

Perfect place to stay for our short city break in Lisbon. Firstly it was amazingly accessible via metro with one change from the airport meaning we were there in 30 mins. It’s a compact hotel with no separate lobby, but the bar/restaurant area where you check in is a lovely space and we enjoyed coffee and breakfasts there. Our room was small but very nicely set out - maybe would be tricky if mobility is an issue for some, but I think there are different room styles in any case. All staff were so friendly and helpful from front of house to restaurant and cleaning staff. Loved the breakfast which had gluten free options for us too. Lisbon is such a wonderful city and if we come back I would have no hesitation staying here again.

In a great spot, lovely room. We had a free upgrade on arrival, which was lovely.
The downside to this was we only had a bath and not a stand up shower. Rated down because there was a dirty glass in the room, and our water wasn’t replenished when the room was tidied as we’d been told it would be.

Overall I would recommend the hotel, fantastic value for money in a great locationz, would stay again if visiting Lisbon!

Our corner room had two balconies (one in the bathroom) facing the main square Plaça da Figueira. The only issue we had was they the key card which the staff assisted us with. This is a beautifully restored property right in the heart of the Center of Lisbon. There was construction right in front of the outdoor patio so it was noisy. There is a lot of dining options and transportation right there. The location is awesome. We really enjoyed the staff and in particular Vitor who was helpful and friendly.

Nicely decorated and conveniently located, quiet at night. However avoid room 103 it is very small for a double. To get in to cupboards you had to move side tables and to close the window shutters move everything off the desk. Very little room to walk around the end of the bed, and the mattress is very firm, not comfortable enough for a 5 night stay. The shower was good but the toilet was squeezed into a corner with a wall tightly in front of you, resulting in having to sit side on to the toilet seat. We ate dinner one evening and both of us had fish dishes, one plate was ok, although rather salty, but the cod option with polenta and rustic tomato sauce was a miserable option with dry polenta, a small watery sauce with a few crushed tomatoes and tasteless cod. We did tell the waitress but nobody appeared to be interested. It was an expensive disappointing meal. We did not eat here again as there were lots of good tasty restaurants in the city. The hotel was overpriced for the room we had and the poor meal received.

First trip to Lisbon.

The location of the hotel was excellent and in walking distance of most sights. The room was reasonably clean with a wonderful shower. We were provided a kettle, robes and slippers which was a really nice touch, however there was very little storage and this made our 4 night stay quite uncomfortable. We found the staff cold and impersonal and as first time visitors to Lisbon we needed suggestions as the best way to get from the airport to the hotel. We were told by Alphonse that the hotel provided a shuttle service for 35 Euro for 3 people. This service was a private service which charged more than double the normal taxi rate. Our experience was that the hotel was not warm and welcoming.

This hotel has pros and cons. It is located in beautiful Figuiera square and there are restaurants and shopping all around. Hotel and rooms were spotless. However, a basic room with a queen bed is extremely small! Not enough room for two people and two suitcases. No counter in the bathroom or anywhere to put your hand towel and a wall is so close to the toilet that you have sit a bit sideways on it or you could scrape your knees (I’m 5’6”). All in all it was a nice room but best for one person.

Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss - a couple of days the room was missed completely and on others, tea/coffee toilet roll was not replaced.

When it was done however, it was to a high standard; very clean.

The bed was VERY comfortable but quite small in length. I am 1.84m which is tall but not freakishly so but my legs were hanging off the end.

A couple of the electrical sockets were not working.

Lighting was a bit dark

Tea and coffee selection was poor. Only two teabags for two people and mostly just fruit teas, no English Breakfast/Assam etc

Heating/Air con did not work properly so had to get reception to adjust settings. They did so readily and happily but it took us almost a week to get it right!

Blinds and triple glazing worked brilliantly but due to heating being too high we wanted to open them and then it was VERY noisy outside. Hotel can't do anything about Lisbon traffic though so can't fault them

Shower was excellent. Hot and powerful.

Restaurant was excellent - we are both veggie and had plenty of choice. Breakfast fantastic.

Reception and waiting staff were also excellent - friendly and very helpful.

We had a late plane and the hotel allowed late checkout AT NO EXTRA CHARGE - fantastic service.

The hotel in general is really nice, except it’s always busy at reception which is also down in the restaurant. Since everyone couldn’t check in till 3pm, there was a long waiting line at 3pm on the day I checked in and beside that everything else was great, would stay again but don’t expect to get in before 3pm.

Beautiful stay here in Lisbon. Accommodating and welcoming staff. Would stay here again on my next visit!
