We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it. The apartment is in great location, very central and closed to historic sites. Room is clean and bed comfortable. Kitchen and washer dryer are really convenient for our extended stay! Natalie is very friendly and helpful and so are all other staff. One speaks several languages even including Chinese! The thing to mention is the apartment doesn’t have on site staffing like normal hotels so immediate personal interaction are not available. We had issues with use of kitchen and power blackout in the room, and we had to email them for assistance. Luckily they are quick to come over and resolve issues, which is appreciated. Overall, everything is excellent and we will highly recommend this place.

The apartment in lovely. The location is ideal for site seeing in Lisbon. It’s walking to distance to pick up location for all the bus tours and several dining and shopping areas around. The only comment I have is the stairs which is quite difficult especially is you have heavy luggage.

While the physical appearance of the room was decent, there was a horrible sewage smell in the apartment. Unfortunately, although the staff tried, they were unable to address the stentch and could not offer an alternative for our family of four.

Great location near Rossio square. Our flight was delayed and I rang to confirm we were en route in a taxi from the airport. I was told check in had closed but someone would meet us at the apartment which they did promptly. Apartment very clean and well decorated, comfy bad. Was cleaned every day. It is close to a wide variety of bars & restaurants and close to the famous number 28 tram starting point and hop-on/off bus tour stops. Lots of pastekrias nearby, ate too many pastel de natas!

I would not recommend this hotel and I would never stay here again.

I have stayed in Rossio Apartments many times. It is a very good location with wonderful facilities.
One concern, which may be very important to some travelers: The apartments are located on the 2nd floor of the building. Climbing 23 steps may not be suitable for some. It is well worth it, however!

Very convenient position but noisy. The studio was pleasant and clean - house keeping daily. Some facilities in need of refreshing: Freezer box in refrigerator iced up because of poorly fillting door. Air conditioner not working requested maintainance but still didn't work.

Convenience in a colourful neighbourhood
We only stayed one night but it was very convenient to the main sights of Lisbon and for trams, buses, metro. Although we had to go to the sister hotel for checking in and to leave our luggage while we enjoyed a few extra hours in Lisbon, the sister hotel is an easy 5 minute walk and the staff there were extremely helpful.

Fabulous location, just steps from Rossio Square. Very quiet considering. The entrance is next to a peep show but that was never a problem. Felt secure. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you are traveling to Lisbon, AVOID THE ROSSIO APARMENTS! We were treated very poorly by Rodrigo, the manager of Rossio Apartments. He bumped us from our prepaid booking that was made over 3 months prior to our trip. We were given a room at a lesser hotel but told we would be moved to Rossio Apartments in 3 days. Not only was that NOT true, we were bumped to a lesser room at the alternative hotel. Rodrigo agreed that we deserved a refund of 50 percent or more, and promised to contact the owner to arrange this. However, when it was time for us to leave Lisbon, he told us we would not be receiving ANY refund. We are very unhappy about our poor treatment by Rodrigo at the Rossio Apartments. Don't let this happen to you!

Perfect location but be ready to smell sardines in the morning. They are doing construction right where the apt is which is next to a ladies night club and a dumpster. It’s nice inside but just beware of the immediate alley it’s in.

The first day I arrived it was extremely disappointing and exhausting as the Rossio Apartment was not completed then I was asked to go to the Chiado Apartment instead but in that it was still not ready. By 5pm I still didn’t have anywhere to rest.

The location is brilliant, we could not really have asked for a better place. The amenities were modern and the place was clean. The people were lovely and attentive. They were flexible and allowed us to leave our luggage there on the last day so we could explore the city some more. Overall a brilliant experience, I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful apartments in the heart of the city
The Rossio Apartments are exceptional in nearly every way: Cleanliness, comfort, amenities, location, convenience. I enjoyed my stay very much. There was some difficulty getting into the building at the appointed time, but someone in the building responded to my ringing of their bell so I was able to get in. A short time later the service lady responded to my knocking on the inner door.

Well first let me get the negatives out of the way. The unit we were in was above a strip club. Great for single guys, but not ideal for families. Lots of steps and no elevator. That being said the room was decent and the beds comfortable. The Elevator is around the corner and Rossio Square is right next to the units. The check in was simple, but make sure you have a working phone to call them. I booked this at the last minute, so I was just happy they had a room available although the price was a little high.

Check-in staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. My only complaint was the bathroom, the drainage smelled really bad and there was no fan in there. We told the staff the situation, he agreed and told us they will do something but the situation has not improved. Felt disappointed and hard to put up with the situation for 3 nights stay.

Great location and fantastic property in the heart of Lisbon. Easy access and very clean and comfortable. Nice touches with a coffee machine and teas as well as welcome bottle of water. Daily servicing and friendly staff makes this a definate recommendation.

The communication with the manager is not very smooth - after notified our arrival time for several times, we still ended up standing on the street in the dark and waited for half hour. The condition of the apartment is generally good but one night we did not have hot water. This was one amazing discovery. The apt. is in a fantastic location, close to Old Town, metro, buses, shops, & restaurants. Our room had a view of Rossio Sq. and the beds were fabulous esp. with my back issues. We had maid service which was very nice replacing tea, coffee, & making our beds. The best part was the service. Carlos is an absolute gem. He kept in touch with me by email and when I requested information about transfer from the airport and then to the cruise port as well as questions about day tours. He not only sent me an email with choices of tours but called me using WhatsApp about the tours. When we arrived at the airport, Carlos arranged for a driver, Adrian, to pick us up. At the apt. he was there to check us in and carry all our baggage to the 2nd floor. Adrian was our driver for 2 days taking us to a fantastic tour at Jose Maria da Fonseca winery, the palace in Sintra, Cascai, lunch on the ocean at a sea food place, Belem, Cabo da Roca, and many scenic drives. We kept in touch with Carlos using WhatsApp and he would respond right away with any concerns and questions. Wi-fi was included so were able to use WhatsApp with both Carlos and Adrian. On the last day, Carlos helped get our baggage down and Adrian would take us to our cruise port. What a fantastic and memorable 3 days in Lisbon thanks to the incredible service we received from both Carlos and Adrian. We highly recommend Rossio Apts. Next time we plan to book the room with the balcony.

Very well situated apartment. Although its entrance is next to a 'peep show' this did not cause any problems - the area is generally respectful. The apartment is modern, well furnished with all one would want. Coffee, apples and welcome bottle of wine were all most welcome additions compared to usual apartments. Location is excellent for walking to all the main Lisbon sites, although tram rides to Belem and the basilica were used (and easy to do) as they are a bit further away. Rossio square is nice and there are many shops and restaurants in the locality. The staff (owner who showed us the apartment) and service lady (in the apartments' area most of the day) were friendly and helpful. very close to metro, rail station and tram stops.

Difficult check-in
Although I confirmed my check-in time for 2PM in 3 emails, which is also the hotel’s check in time, I still had to wait for 10 min for the receptionist to come and another 45 min for the room to be cleaned. I was given a different room than on the booking picture. Usually you book by pictures, they said no, it is just a picture. Next morning, there was no hot water. I had to email them because the staff does not communicate in English and there is no one to talk to. They replied around 3PM after I checked out.

Brilliant place to stay, on Praca Rossio, not the horrendously busy square where all the tours, taxi#s, tuk tuk\"s etc. leave from, but a one minute walk away. Loads of great restaurants around, and the service is great. Probably the only thing against is having to ring the hotel to get access to the apartments, but would much rather stay in an apartment than in an hotel.

Clean, comfortable accommodation, well located. Only major annoyance was the check in process. Informed them of our expected arrival time, as requested, but no one was there to let us in. A man answered the buzzer system and said to wait a minute, when no one came we buzzed again and this time he said wait 3 or 4 minutes and someone would come. After that no one would answer the buzzer and we were left on the doorstep for 50 minutes before someone eventually came. Other reviewers have had similar problems and so it is time they got this resolved.

Our apartment was compact, clean and close to shops, transport and restaurants. Carlos, who checked us in, was helpful and informative. Having free laundry facilities was useful. Ignore the peep show next door. Once inside, Rossio Apartments provide lovely accommodation right by Rossio Square. All this at a reasonable price.

Really enjoyed the stay at the Rossio Apartments. They had put out a complimentary bottle of wine and the manager was very friendly and cordial. The only drawback is that the apartment is in a security building and you need to prearrange for someone to be there when you show up. The management office is further away and when you land with luggage you are not exactly mobile. It also helps to have local telephone service to call the manager in case no one is there. The location is excellent and very close to the Rossio Metro station on the green line.
