The room was small but adequate and it was what we booked so no surprises. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were able to open the windows to get fresh air since the AC was still not turned on. The breakfast was very good. It had a good selection of healthy options and they also made omelettes on request. Everyone from the front desk to the kitchen were very nice and that truly made for a pleasant experience.

We were here for a two week stay and I’m happy to say it’s a terrific little hotel in a prime location; short walk to the subway, with restaurants, bars and shops right outside your door. The rooms are modern, comfortable…and quiet! - this despite its location. The TV speaks English (important for us Americans), the bathroom shower is easy to use and has great water pressure. And the staff is outstanding! Highly recommend.

Lovely modern room. Cleaning available as needed. Breakfast server was working very hard, but not getting much help on some days. It was a very busy place and there needs to be a second person with him at busy times (especially given he had to wash his own dishes). Despite being very busy he remained very calm and polite. Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I am confident saying it was too much for him alone to manage.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel because there were so many other dining options in the area. Aside from not getting 2 separate beds in our room, the hotel is clean and the staff is so nice and professional. The hotel is so convenient to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. I will definitely stay there again when i return to Lisbon.

The breakfast was not free, although reasonable for what they served. The safe did not work for some of us and did not get fixed. I was a little ticked that although my friends and I paid the same price and booked on the same day, they got much better room with two balconies while we were facing a wall outside.

This hotel was incredibly disappointing. I think the hotel’s popularity online has negatively impacted the quality. The staff (evening) lacked hospitality experience or just don’t care. I’m not sure which is worse.
1. The first night it was clear our a/c was broken. Because we were on a higher floor, the room was hot (26 degrees celsius). The window provided no airflow, and if left open, caused bright light to shine in your room so you wouldn’t have slept anyways. We alerted staff and they did nothing except argue and refusing threaten a worse room as an alternative. They also don’t allow you to control the air and put it lower than 20 so even if it would’ve worked, it wouldn’t have been to our preference.
2. The staff’s attitude was really horrible considering the cost of the hotel and alleged quality. Rather than a piece of cake upon entering, it would have been preferable to actually have received quality service.
3. There was a horrible odor of BO throughout the lobby and hallways. It was so bad we had to avoid taking the elevator and change our clothes bc it was pervasive.
Bottom line, there are a lot of wonderful places to stay in the area that are better quality, have friendlier staff, and are a better value.
Moon Sun needs to get over itself and remember the business they are in.

The hotel is easy to access, there’s no parking so it’s best to get there by taxi or Uber. The staff is really friendly and the check-in is easy. There’s a small elevator, but the rooms are a good size for Europe, clean and all the essentials we enjoyed staying at this hotel. We had a balcony over a busy street which was fun when the window was closed. It was very quiet room and comfortable bed. Centrally located in the downtown touristy section everything was walkable.

The main reason for this place is your cancellation policy 3 days . I had to come home back for an emergency for family and I miss the cancellation by one day , when we decided to shorten our stay by one day to come back home The management did not want to even offer anything . We stayed one night and the other one paid in full and no refund . I am pretty sure other hotels would off acknowledged the cancellation fee and gave us at least half of the night fee . Management did not want to acknowledge anything .
Also one more thing I asked to be on the main level because of I do not take any elevators asking back in July and they couldn’t accommodate that either but put the remaining people on our group on level 1 while they hadn’t requested to be lower level .

Hotel in excellent location, central to everything. Room with small balcony as seen in photos with view. I was located on 4th floor & unfortunately lift was not working on this floor so either had to go to 5th & walk downstairs or 3rd floor and walk up. However, staff delivered my luggage for me. Breakfast included was excellent. Freshly cooked hot breakfast of your choice if you wanted. Overall Moon & Sun Lisboa a great place to stay.

Overall good, but we've experienced a couple of issues that I've never found in a 4 star hotel before. The room was very dusty upon check in, the coffee and water were not refilled on a couple of occasions and the housekeeping done at 5 pm, I understand is the hotel rule but I've never been in a hotel that has housekeeping done so late, especially because the room was left very early in the morning and being unable to use the room after the whole morning and afternoon out has been a bit of inconvenience for us.
The breakfast is ok, although on two occasions our order from the kitchen was forgotten and we've had to ask twice to have the omelette and the coffees.
As said, it's not bad at all, but service needs improvement. Location though is very convenient as it is very central.

My sister and I travelled around Lisbon last week and we absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Moon & Sun Lisboa. Firstly, the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. It’s super close to countless cafes, restaurants, shops and the famous Elevador de Santa Justa. Conveniently, it was only a short walk to the Baixa Chiado and Cais Do Sodré Metro stations, which meant that we had the freedom to explore more places around the town without having to rely on costly taxis and Ubers.

I am compelled to share this experience as a warning to other travelers, particularly solo female guests. What happened to me at Hotel Moon & Sun represents a fundamental failure of basic hotel security protocols that put guests in genuine danger.
The incident:
At 3:30 AM on July 3rd, while sleeping in my hotel room, I was awakened by the sound of someone attempting to enter my room using a key. I reached the door just in time to prevent it from opening fully. When I called out \"who is there,\" the response was merely \"I'm sorry, wrong room\" with no explanation or follow-up from management that night.
Critical Security Failures:
This hotel has no peepholes in room doors and no interior safety locks that guests can engage - meaning once someone has a key to your room, you have no way to secure yourself inside. Despite having a \"Do Not Disturb\" sign posted, staff entered anyway in the middle of the night.
Most Disturbing: THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE
During my research after this incident, I discovered that an identical situation occurred to another female guest in September 2023. The fact that this exact scenario has repeated itself raises serious questions about the hotel's commitment to guest safety and whether these are truly \"accidents.\"

WARNING!! Unsafe for FEMALES. On July 3, 2025, at 3:20 am, a male employee broke into our hotel room and stood inside in the middle of night. We were so frightened that he was a rapist. After a month of emails, the hotel manager, Iris Godoy did NOTHING. They don’t care about the safety of their guests, and mock women for rightfully feeling violated by their EMPLOYEES. The hotel manager and supervisor didn’t answer to Expedia either and needs to be removed from their website.

This is a very clean and well-managed hotel in a very convenient section of Baixa, close to transportation and many of local visiting sites. It was recently completely renovated and provides a fantastic breakfast with lots of pastries in a beautiful and cozy dining room.

The staff was unbelievable. We needed lots of water and it was always available. They kept me safe when we got food delivery at 3 AM. Easy to deal with when we needed extra items. Convenient walk to all things. No problem w/ getting Bolts/Ubers. We had a wonderful balcony w/ access from the bathroom and the sleeping area. AC was wonderful in the room and having a lift made things easier. Thank you for the amazing stay!

The hotel is super clean, the staff was absolutely wonderful and was very helpful and friendly. They even had a personalized note with a dessert waiting for us in the room upon arrival and provided us with a glass bottle of drinking water every day. Also, their breakfast is very delicious! There are tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance and is just a great place to stay! This was our honeymoon and we’ll definitely be coming back to stay! I highly recommend this place❤️!

Located in an excellent part of Lisbon. The included breakfast was great and the staff helpful. The rooms are small but expected given it is located in the old part of town. Rooms are clean and well present and the bed is comfortable. I would definitley recommend.

Hotel is located near to most downtown attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room on the 2nd floor was clean, quiet and well equiped. It was small but just adequate for a 3 night stay. Beware of taxi drivers in Lisbon they will rip you off at every opportunity.

Rooms are very small! The elevator was also very small most people will need to do 2 trips with their luggage. Staff was mediocre and not very accommodating. Be prepared to unload your own luggage on a major road as they have no bell hop service, no free parking and no unload/load area. The restaurant we saw seemed very small. The positive is it is in a very convenient location. Most top attractions are in walking distance. Great food options once you venture out.
