AC in the room did not work, presumably as it was spring, but the room was far too hot which made it very difficult to sleep.

The room was above a busy pedestrianised street filled with restaurants and buskers, the good thing is you can open the window and enjoy the atmosphere however if you want to sleep before 10pm this would be terrible but if like us you want to enjoy the atmosphere it is fantastic.
After 10pm when the buskers stop the room is well soundproofed.

The room was far too warm when I arrived. The thermostat read 25-28C and the temperature could not be adjusted due to a lock set by the hotel. The street was so loud with singing from a nearby bar that opening that window was really unpleasant. The bathroom was so small that, even as a small person, I had to awkwardly bend and maneuver to open and close the door. I wouldn't stay here for more than 1-2 nights and I wasn't looking forward to my second night.

I had a great stay in Lisbon at this hotel. It’s an amazing location, making adventuring around quite easy. It is clean and the hotel staff are very helpful. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are small but that was not an issue for me as I was travelling solo and know what a lot of rooms are like in Europe for size. My only negative was that you can’t control the temp in your room. It’s apparently centralized. My room was quite warm, especially at night when I couldn’t have window open due to noise on the street. I’m not sure if this changes during the summer months or if they still choose the A/C temp as well. They had it set at 24 but it was even going up to 25 which is unfortunately too warm for me to sleep well. Food for thought if you are someone who prefers to adjust your own thermostat in hotels.

Perfect location! The rooms were small, but adequate and clean. We did a few tours and all meeting points were within a 10 minute walk. The included breakfast was great, European continental. All the staff were friendly, helpful and smiley. Many good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice property, Nice Staff. Reason for 4 rather than 5 is the way the Staff dragged chairs and tables around uneccasirily in the mornings on a daily basis When attempting to set up.
This would have the effect of waking everyone up in the mornings. These tables and chairs are light in weight so there was no reason to drag them as they did to cause maximum disruption.
Aside from that room was nice and clean and staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Overall had a great stay.

Ideal location in the heart of Lisbon on pedestrian only street. Bed was very comfortable & room is more spacious than expected from photos. I asked about the best way to get to the airport & they offered a shuttle for 50 euros for our whole family to get there with lots of luggage. Highly recommend this property.

We arrived after midnight and the alley was dark and didn’t look like a hotel area.

The reception is on a walking side street therefore the confusion.

Nothing that a good LED sign for dropping passengers by the alley couldn’t fix.

Other than that the Hotel staff was really kind and helpful. The Hotel was clean and the breakfast you paid the night before so you save money for no doing a reservation.

On my son’s birthday they leave a bottle and a cake for him with a nice note. We love it.

Over all it was great and we thank the staff for making the trip a wonderful experience.

Location was handy to everything, very close to the metro and train and other sights.
Loads of options to eat, but they would be known as tourist traps. People outside trying to coax you inside.

The rooms are very warm, air-con was set to heat due to the time of year. Hotel tried to switch it to cool when I asked, but when it didnt work, they told me to open the window. I had been doing that, but when you're woken up at 3am with the heat (24oC) in the room, opening a window in a busy and lively area doesnt equate to a good night sleep!

The staff is incredibly incompetent and inconsistent. One night we were able to order breakfast at 1:15 am due to jet lag the next day we could not order breakfast at 12:10. Loved this hotel. This is a small hotel but nice staff, room was comfortable, efficient air conditioning, and comfortable bed. We were on 4th floor with view of a brick wall next door but didn't care because not in our room much.
The location is excellent, right among many popular areas but was quiet for sleeping. Have to pay for the breakfast there or many choices at nearby pastry shops. There are 2 other Sister My Story book hotels that seemed nice and you get a discount to eat at one right across the street. We noticed in Portugal the hotels do not have washcloths, Just hand size or large bath towels.

The location was in the heart of the city and right below the street bustled with people, restaurants and shops.
We had a room in the corner, which was quite spacious, bathroom was large and shower was great. We found the bed super comfortable.
Ultimately, the hotel organised a unsolicited birthday surprise, which showed that they really cared about their guests. When we return to Lisbon again we'll definitely be staying there again.

A great property if you want to be in the thick of it. Tons of shops and restaurants around the hotel. However, because of the location, you also have lots of noise and TONS or tourists. If that's what you want, this is the hotel for you. A bit too busy for me. The hotel itself was very nice and my room was fantastic with amazing A/C....not always the case in Europe so very nice to have. Great restaurant in lobby.

I highly recommend this hotel. Front desk was excellent, personable, and quite helpful. The shower door and tissue holder were broken and they fixed it asap! Toiletries were from Ritual and they all smelled heavenly. The hotel restaurant offered a good selection of buffet breakfast for €15,00 per person. Shops and restaurants were literally just outside the hotel along Rua Augusta. Rossio, Praça do Comércio, Metro, a stop for Tram °28 were all within walking distance to the hotel. I highly recommend My Story Hotel Augusta.

Ok, the staff is great. Very helpful especially Silvia! The location couldn’t be better being right off the main boulevard in Lisbon City Center. Even their restaurant I would give 5 stars. Now with that said my advice to all looking to book there Do Not Accept a Room on the Fifth Floor. Most hotels have dormers on the 5th floor so while that floor has small French balconies that slanted ceiling you have to deal with makes the room much smaller and some what cramped. We had stayed at another My Story hotel two years ago on the 4th floor and was wonderful.
This time this hotel had no lobby, just the restaurant indoor seating area. That and the fact that our room had no dresser of any type meant having to spread out suitcase clothing on the floor. I know that I should not have accepted that room the moment I saw it so that’s on me but we had just come off our Norwegian cruise, we were tired and just wanted to relax but had to wait until 3 to get into the room - that was 6 hours later. You can have them store your luggage until the room opens but really with no lobby there was no place to even sit down. Just walk around for 6 hours.

Liked that it was on the pedestrian zone with so much choice for dining and shopping, and so close to the waterfront. Didn't like how tiny the rooms were, barely bigger than the bed itself, and the shower had a door that we could barely squeeze into. Room was very hot in the evening, and very cold in the morning, with no way to adjust the thermostat from the room itself, and no answer when we called the front desk. Expected a little more comfort than that for the >300 euro/night we paid.

Fantastic staff, Sofia and Joce were especially helpful and gave a lot of good advice. Easy to get around from this location either by foot, subway/bus, or taxi. Charming historic building that has been renovated into a hotel.

If you need a lot of space (e.g., for accessibility) or travel with more than carry-on size luggage, given the small rooms (historical property, they are prohibited from making structural changes) I would check with the hotel before reserving if your needs can be accommodated.

First the pros..great location and very helpful staff.
The biggest problem for me was the AC. In the night I like it cool but the hotel only has 1 AC unit per floor so the AC in your room only works if the temperature is set to what all other rooms have it set to. So bizzare! So difficult to sleep.
