Tiago & the team were fantastic! Very helpful, polite & professional. I forgot my two pin plug & they kindly let me borrow one during my stay! Overall a lovely hotel in a convenient location central to all the local bars & restaurants and cultural sightseeing spots! Also the roof terrace bar was wonderful…Would definitely stay there again!

Room was big, bed and sheets were clean. Air conditioning was great. Amazing view from the room to Martin Moniz square where the Tram 28 starts the route. Rooftop Bar has incredible view on night time, cozy place to take some beer, cocktails and wine. Perks given were redeemable in lobby bar for Per Se local drink. New areas refurbished with a very aesthetic style. Overall was an excellent experience.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Mundial in Lisbon. The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. We were able to checkin very early, breakfast was included. They have a rooftop bar with great views as well as an amazing restaurant with view of the city. Bar lounge on the mail floor. Great location with many restaurants and sightseeing very near the hotel.

The hotel was good and the room was clean, but the hotel is a bit outdated. The carpets definitely needed to get replaced. The park across the street was not the safest to be in especially if youre a woman wanting to go out at night.

This was our second stay at Mundial. The staff was very helpful, even lending me a voltage converter because I had forgotten mine. The location is close to Rossio Plaza, the Baxia, Chado and Alfama neighborhoods, and easily accessible to the airport. The hotel will reserve transfers to and from the airport at reasonable cost, if asked. The rooftop bar is overpriced, but a nice amenity, as is the complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Verify your room accommodations. Our room was clean, large, and comfortable. It was not, however, equivalent to the room we had on our first stay. I will definitely return, but I'll be more careful about the room assignment (view, beds, proximity to the elevator, etc.).

This is a very dated hotel that would benefit from a major renovation. The carpets are old, not only in the hallways but also in the guest rooms. The furniture feels outdated, and the air conditioning units appear quite old as well, which seemed to aggravate my allergies during my stay.

I also found the photos and the rating to be misleading, as they do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property.

On the positive side, the rooms were clean, and the location is right in the middle of the action very convenient to many attractions.

I stayed here for a week and had nothing but great vibes and excellent customer service from all of the staff throughout the property!

The only non-positive thing I have to say is this property does not have an iron or ironing board in each room, but that is normal when traveling throughout Europe. There is an iron you can share, but I was never able to get it. Luckily, there are multiple stores within walking distance that sell irons for as low as 15 Euros, so I just bought one.

Security was posted at each entrance, including the parking garage, made me feel safe. The property was very clean and well maintained.

There is a beautiful cocktail lounge downstairs near the lobby, a breakfast buffet on the second floor, a beautiful lunch and dinner restaurant named Veranda on the eighth floor, and an awesome lounge on the roof.

Book a room with a balcony, like I did, on floors seven, eight, or nine. They have stunning views of Lisbon, and you get to eat at the breakfast buffet in Veranda every morning, instead of at the one on the second floor, which was crowded.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Lisbon. I can't wait to go back!

The location of the hotel is wonderful. Very central, lots of pedestrian streets nearby to stroll, with lots of shops and restaurants. Grocery store next door. The hotel has a rooftop bar and restaurant. It is in front of the tram number 28 stop. The staff (porters, front desk staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping) are very helpful, and very kind. I would say that this is the best hotel I have been in where the staff do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Breakfast is in their restaurant on the 8th floor, with good views, and the selection offered is varied. Room was big for a European location, and very clean. Recommend this hotel highly, especially for location and kindness and helpfulness of staff. 15 out of 10!

We had taken a cab to the hotel from the cruiseport, so I can't comment on the parking. The staff at check-in spoke excellent English and provided a map and directions for a later meeting place. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The free internet worked great and there was a free coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. In addition to the above comments, it is located in a great downtown location, convenient to metro stops and other public transportation options

Room was spacious and conveniently located. However they did not warn us that there was ongoing construction on the first floor. We booked a pre-night to get some sleep after a red eye flight and as soon as we got to the room the construction began making it impossible to rest the day we arrived. We called the front desk and they offered to switch our room, but noted we were in the “quiet part” of the hotel and more frequently got noise complaints from other floors. I saw similar reviews about higher floors close to the rooftop bar being too loud so decided to stay put. Still, I would have saved my money on the pre-night if I knew sleep was out of the question during the day.

My husband and I stayed at the Mundial Hotel in Lisbon from May 19 to May 22, and we spent three nights there. The hotel has a fantastic location, making it easy to reach major attractions and go on tours. It’s a decent hotel, but there were some downsides. First, the breakfasts were really disappointing—the selection was very limited and left a lot to be desired. Also, the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, so we didn’t sleep well. Our room faced the street, and the soundproofing was really poor—we could hear sirens, cars, and general noise at night. On the positive side, housekeeping was decent, but the hotel lacks a gym or any special amenities. When we went to the restaurant, it was completely empty even though it was open. Overall, for a four-star hotel, it definitely didn’t meet expectations.

We stayed here because we knew the location was ideal for downtown Lisbon. The rooftop bar was also a big appeal. The staff in the main part of the hotel were fantastic, the rooftop bar staff were a bit grumpy especially when we started asking for photo's at 11pm :) Maybe they had had a long / tough day! Anyway, it didn't bother us too much. The staff in the main bar/restaurant were awesome and drink service at table-side reminds me of fantastic days gone-by! I missed the fact the Mundial doesn't have a gym and there are major upgrades and renovations ongoing. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't get one of the modified rooms but whilst ours was dated, it was very spacious and comfy with a nice view of Sao Jorge castle. We would stay here again for sure simply because the location is perfect for pretty much everything you want to do in and around Lisbon area. The view of the Castle from the bar is unbeaten!

We had no idea how much construction was happening at the hotel. Jack hammering concrete 20 feet from our room starting at 730am meant we couldn’t even enjoy our room during the day. There was also a horrible smell coming through the air vents. A positive note - the rooftop patio was nice.

The staff was great!!! The hallways were very hot (no ventilation or AC). The bedroom looked old and our door was dirty inside. No hand towels. The toilet flush button kept sticking every time, leaving the water running until we lifted the top to get it unstuck to allow the tank to fill up.

We enjoyed Hotel Mundial, our room was quiet, nice and large with a window that opened, in old town, walking distance, very near several plazas with restaurants and other options. We were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary and the hotel greeted us with special treats to help us celebrate. The hotel has a very nice breakfast with a high-rise view of the city, and a roof top bar. We felt fortunate to stay at Hotel Mundial and treasure our time in Lisbon, Portugal.

When we arrived at the hotel. We were welcomed by Pablo. He took great care of us. The room was ok. The bed was rock hard and pillows too soft. We had back ache during our stay. Housekeeping does not change your towels even when soaking wet laying on the bathroom floor. We came back to the room. The maid had just pick up the dirty wet towels refolded them and put them back on the rack. I tried texting them and no answer. I went down to the front desk and complained. They told me they never got my text. I showed them on my phone. They had housekeeping send me a new round of towels. I went to use one of them. There was brown stains on it. It look like human feces. They later claimed it was make up. The breakfast staff was good. The food was ok. The property is located close to attractions and transportation. The outside front of the hotel has a lot of homeless people hanging around. In th memorial plaza out front. The back side of the hotel is better. Sorry I would not stay here. It was notna pleasant experience.

Loud rumbling through our room made it impossible to sleep.
Sounded like a jet engine all day and night until around 1:30am. Starts again around 6am.
Property is nice enough but doesn’t mean anything unless sleep is possible.
Would visit the rooftop bar would not stay here again.

There are no outlets for phones etc. we had to pull out plugs in order to charge our iPad watches etc.The staff at the lobby were great, they helped as much as they could. We had difficulty accessing our room as it was not ready until 90 minutes past check-in time.

This is a lovely hotel that is stylish, well located with a lovely bar area, and great restaurant and fabulous rooftop bar. The hotel is located by the start of the No.28 tram and metro stations which made traveling around the city very easy. The immediate area is a little scruffy but you just have to turn a corner and you're soon in Rossio square leading into the Baixa Chiado area.

The room itself was fine but most definitely does not match up to the cool contemporary styling of the rest of the hotel, with a slightly tired looking bathroom. However it did the job and the bed was comfortable, and there was air con, TV, mini fridge and a view of the castle. Noise levels were mildly annoying - you could hear people on the streets late at night and the rumble of the Metro (not a big deal). The most frustrating was drilling in what seemed to be the room above at 8am on a Friday. We were awake, but this could have waited til late morning to consider guests staying.

I had a great stay at Hotel Mundial in Lisbon. The location is excellent—very central and within walking distance to many of the main attractions, which made exploring the city extremely convenient.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
