I highly recommend Bendecir Hotel and Spa.

The staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality and provided effective customer service throughout my stay.

The room was immaculately clean and spacious. It was equipped with toiletries and complimentary bottled water daily. Freshly prepared breakfast and fruits were provided daily, offering a diverse selection of Western, Asian, and Vietnamese options.

The hotel’s location is highly convenient, situated near shops, convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants. Additionally, the hotel features its own restaurant and bar within the block.

The hotel is easily accessible to Hoan Kiem Lake and other popular tourist attractions.

Not a 4 star hotel, dated, and in need of repair.

This hotel is improperly advertised as a 4 star hotel. If I am being generous, I would give it a 3 star at most.

Pros: the rooms are clean and large, and the location is great.

Cons: the hotel is extremely dated, it is in need of significant repair, the bathroom had a lot of issues, and there was mold on the ceiling. The toilet seat was broken, you can’t flush toilet paper in the toilet, the bathtub was not fixed to the wall, the shower curtain didn’t fit the bath tub and was in need of change.

Overall it was an ok stay but well overpriced for what is being offered. There are much better properties in Hanoi at a much more reasonable price.

All the staff were amazingly nice and helpful, very fluent English and quick to approach and assist you. The breakfast buffet , though limited size, was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Asia, even compared to Hyatts and Marriott’s because the chefs have a nice variety of menu creations/ cuisines, eggs made to order not left in a cold tray and some challenging items you don’t normally see for a free Asia buffet (double baked potato is amazing). The hotel is five minute walk to the lake and night market. Bed was soft and pillows plentiful. Also have HBO and the movie channel thats not normal to find in many hotels/ Asian countries. Only disappoint, tried to eat dinner in restaurant Friday and Saturday but no one there eating and dining area was dark, seemed not ready for business so made other dinner plans. Hoped it would be similar experience as breakfast.

This is our first trip to Hanoi, the hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Whenever we need any directions for recommendation, the staffs are most willing to help. We felt very homely in the hotel. Everyday we were met with warm smile from every staff be it we enter or leave the hotel.
Breakfast was good and was served with personal preference.
The staffs send us off with a warm smile as we left for airport.
This is the hotel that I highly recommended, as we enjoyed our stay during our 6 days in Hanoi.

It's a 2 star hotel.

I picked this hotel for it's location and 24hr check in since we arrived at 2am. The room was old and had holes in the wall and water damaged floors. The bathroom was awful. You had to use the hand held shower to bathe. Water went everywhere since the bathroom was poorly put together. The wifi barely worked in the room. Very little amenities besides free breakfast and bottle water.

Wonderful stay in Hanoi

Very well located in old quarter pleasant walk to lots of attractions, red bridge pogoda, water puppets, market and food streets, night markets, train street not far if you enjoy a walk, hotel ideal for day trip pickups and short walk to hop on hop off tourist bus, cosy place, one elevator, rooms neat and tidy. Window view with some road noise on lower levels.
2 for 1 cocktail hours a treat from the 14th floor rooftop view and the bar staff were fantastic. Buffet breakfast enjoyable with good choice.
Would suggest...Get the Grab app for very good pricing and very safe and easy transport all over Vietnam and the Wise visa card or similar for ease in the transfer of money into dong or other currencies at max rate.

This is my 2nd review. I stayed earlier in the week and my stay was fine. I was in a city view suite. I booked a “Superior Double Room” for this next visit. (We spent 2 nights in Ha Long Bay in the middle so this is why 2 stays).
When I went to walk into my room 602 it stunk of cigarette, it was bad and the hotel acknowledged this so put me into an alternative room for 1 night and then I had to move again as it was booked the following night by someone else (this room was an upgrade, was an ok room however the air conditioning turned off part way through the night and had to reset it this seems a common issue as my friend had the same issue but in a different room.
On my 2nd night I moved rooms and the room was waiting for me to simply change over and move my bags. The 2nd room is the style I originally booked, a tiny room but it is what I booked. The toilet however was blocked up and when I flushed it there was a push back of sewage. I reported this however the toilet never flushed properly which is not ideal.

Based on my stay here I would stay in a city view suite, I would not opt to stay here again in another type of room.

I stayed in a suite I paid for lake view and was given a city view. However appears the layout of the city view room was better. I was fortunate to get an early check in. I arrived at 9am from an international flight and spent 3 hours in the spa before checking in. The hotel is very narrow. The breakfast was not for me. It’s in old town area even though I’m sure I read French district. The area is overwhelmingly busy and cannot walk on any side walks whereas French district a few minutes walk away you can walk on the sidewalks.

Staff is absolutely lovely and I can not say enough about how accommodating the ladies in the spa were for our family - they were so wonderful!. The morning buffet was also fantastic as were the views from the rooftop bar. Location is highly convenient to the Old Quarter.
But..I struggle a bit with the 4-star designation. It’s evident that there’s has been some work put in to update the rooms, but the floors were dirty, the tub wiggled when You stood In It to shower, the tub faucet was dangling from the wall, you could not flush the toilet paper, and the noise from inside the hotel, itself, was horrific at night with doors slamming, people dropping things, babies screaming. I suspect a western 4-star has a different standard and I’m trying to take that into account after having travelled extensively and It wasn’t all bad, but a little disappointing.

I had arranged to be picked up from the Airport, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was because of this service.They sent an excellent confirmation with precise details…I waited over 40 minutes for a taxi which did not show up. After phoning the hotel (incurring additional phone expenses) they did arrange a transfer and after more complaining did not charge me…but I had wasted time and spent money phoning them…good location. Bar VERY loud, so impossible to go there for a quiet drink.

All the staff at this hotel are incredibly helpful. The front desk staff is unbelievably helpful, especially Thom and Yin. They're the most helpful hotel staff I've ever met. Excellent location where you can walk to many locations in the Old Quarter including the night market (which is car free on weekends) and the hop-on-hop-off bus terminal. Lots to see, eat, and shop near the hotel.

We love the Bendecir and its wonderful staff

We absolutely loved our stay at Bendecir. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was very convenient, so close to many restaurants, and shops. Ho Hoan Kiem was literally steps away. The breakfast was divine. The selections and quality were exceptional, even better than at many restaurants. Most of all, it was the service and the outstanding staff. The manager, Linh, was diligent, courteous, and extremely accommodating. All members of the staff, most especially Quyền and Hiếu, were very helpful, attentive, and respectful. They paid close attention to what we needed and fulfilled them quickly. We could not say enough good things about this lovely hotel and look forward to coming back

I had a really lovely stay at Bendecir Hotel & Spa. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind people, making my stay a comfortable one. They were all professional and the staff at the desk spoke excellent English, taking away the stress of any miscommunication. Quyen was one of the bell boys who really made my stay memorable - he was constantly available throughout most of the day to help out when needed.

The room was comfortable and relatively well maintained. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning, especially the fresh fruit they had.

Overall, this location met my needs as it was easy to walk to the rest of the Old Quarter from here. There was a good variety of food and cafes nearby that the staff helped to recommend.

Lovely hotel with pool in central location

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this hotel. Room was spacious and bed comfortable although a bit sparse on furniture with little extras like hooks or rails for hanging wet towels lacking. It was clean enough on the surface but there was some dust and a random sock under the bed! Loved the rooftop pool and bar. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful and polite though not particularly friendly. Location very good, close to the main attractions such as the water puppet theatre, military museum and Train Street. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in the area. Would definitely return.

Overall this was a great basic hotel in a really convenient location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even with our very late arrival and early departure time. They helped coordinate our airport transfer and were extremely prompt and responsive in answering our questions. The breakfast buffet was a great perk. The rooms were in good condition, although it was (as expected) a bit humid inside. Overall this was a good option for our overnight stay.

This property was extremely clean, great staff who are accommodating. Location was prime in the north end of the French Quarter- walking distance to the Hoen Kiem lake and lots of shopping and food options.

Only negatives are that the beds are pretty stiff (this seems to be a theme in Southeast Asia) and the air conditioning kept automatically turning off (without it, the room turns into a humid rainforest, but it could’ve also been operator error because the controls are only symbols that we didn’t understand).

I’d love to stay here again!

Worth a 3 star. Amenities, room and dining hall are all a bit dated. Only one elevator and we stayed on the 11th floor which wasn't ideal. Windows in the room not properly sound proof so noise from the street kept us up all night.

Great location in the old quarter close to many amenities and attractions. Warm welcome upon check in, juice and fruit provided whilst they did the ‘admin’ which was a nice touch after a long haul flight. The warm and friendly manner continues throughout from all members of staff who are more than happy to assist. Room is extremely clean and spacious and in a great condition. We opted for a balcony room so we could hear the hustle and bustle of the street below, there was a tree which offered great privacy. Good room facilities, safe, hairdryer, kettle, fridge etc. Breakfast was small but plentiful with many different choices and cooked to order options ensuring they’re nice and hot. Would recommend this hotel!

Great small hotel in centre. Less than 5 mins to Lake in old quarter. Staff were so lovely and attentive. Rooms are lovely. Only issue was heating, could turn on heat as it was centrally controlled. The hotel is located just outside of the old and French quarters. Very convenient to the egg coffee street. The staff are very friendly and attentive. One of the staff, Alan, was super nice and sat down with us to chat and gave us food and attraction recommendations in Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, and Da Nang. He also made sure we have everything we need for our stay as well as transportation. The room is clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. They also has a rooftop sitting area on the 13th floor which overlook the city. And we had to leave early the next day and they prepared a light breakfast to-go for us. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was perfect for my needs. The breakfast is huge and lots of different choices. The staff were very helpful and they can handle booking any buses or further trips you need for a visit to Vietnam.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Hanoi's old city. It was the best place to rest from the hustle bustle outside. nicely designed, sparkling clean and extra comfort rooms, delicious and generous breakfast and extra helpful staff. with special thanks to Anna who took a great care of us.

We had a lovely stay for 3 nights. The hotel staff was excellent, very friendly, and professional. The rooms were clean and updated and service was top notch. The location was within walking distance of restaurants, the lake, and night market. Breakfast was also good with the option of ordering made to order eggs, pancakes, and pho.

Good Value and Outstanding Services

Excellent Hotel! Value For Money. Well located in the historic old quarters. Good Breakfast and extremely hard working staff with good working attitudes. Room is small but apparently that is the case of hotels in the old district.
