The room was exceptionally clean. However, I found the practice of combining two beds to form a queen-sized bed to be inconvenient due to the noticeable gap in the middle.

The location of the hotel is great. A lot of food, shopping and sightseeing options close by. My room was very clean and quiet. The best part of the stay was the staff. They went out of their way multiple times to help me plan my trip to Sapa. I really can’t say enough about them. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is probably my 5th time at Authentic Hotel and it's always a pleasure to stay here. The facilities do have to have another facelift though. Room 804's Cotto basin is cracked and would be good to have it replaced.

Other than that, Authentic is situated at the most convenient location at the Old Quarters, it is my default hotel of choice every time I visit Hanoi with my family.

They did not honor my room reservation. They instead put me up in adjacent hotel that had lower rates on Expedia. They rejected a refund request for the difference in Rate that I initiated with Expedia. Just not fair.

Spent a wonderful Christmas weekend at the Authentic Hanoi from Saturday 24th to Monday 26th December 2022. This is actually my 3rd time at the hotel. I was here the first time 9 years ago and subsequently I housed my parents at the hotel when they came over to visit my in-laws. For this trip I splashed on the lake view suite, and I was not disappointed. My wife loves the double wash basins and the bathtub. The hot water is sufficient and comfortable. First impressions were good. The room is large clean and well equipped. The hotel service personnel deliver excellent service throughout! The Breakfast service serves adequate western and local fare at their rooftop restaurant. My wife is very pleased with the Pho Ga. The restaurant offers a great view around the Old Quarter and Ho Hoan Kiem area. My son also loves the lake view suite and hopes to return again to the same room. I highly recommend booking the lakeside suite for a spectacular view of the city. I will definitely book Authentic Hanoi hotel again when I return to Hanoi! The shower compartment's tap head should be changed to one with a better grip as when our hands are soapy, its very hard to grab the tap head. Also it appears the soap dish no longer installed and we had to place the shower gel bottles on the floor.

Non Trust-able Hotel

The room i booked and the room given was totally different, i booked a room with window but the room given me was no window and AC was bad. I was literally sweating next day morning and asked them to cancel my booking, then they agree to change my room.
Beware of the Front Desk Guy who manages the hotel in the night time. I asked for room service food at around 11 PM and he didn't mention he has to order outside and given me a offer that only pizza is available and he charged me V.Dong 450,000 for medium size pizza. Next day when i informed this to the receptionist she surprise and call the manager to sort out it, i got back V.Dong 150,000 after few arguments. Not trust-able place , i will not book this hotel in the future

Good location.

We stayed in a few hotels in Hanoi and honestly thought there was better value to be found elsewhere. We were only at the Authentic one night - location excellent, rooms and breakfast very so so. There was also a very expensive cigar bar upstairs. A bit out of character wit( the rest of the hotel.

I liked the location of this hotel. The rooftop restaurant and bar are very appealing; however, I believe that the menu needs to change in order to attract more guests. The menu options are heavy, too westernized and pricy. Prior to booking our stay I read many reviews about the beds being uncomfortably hard. I cannot confirm that. Our bed and bedding was very comfortable. However, I found the room to have a slightly moist/stale smell which was probably caused by the air quality in Hanoi. I found that the curtains were dusty and the corners of the rooms not well swept but other than that, the room was clean and tidy.

Excellent staff! Excellent view from the bar and a good restaurant. A perfect hotel for a no hassle traveler! Only thing I recommend is to change the restaurant timing just in case travelers check in late at night and they might want to order food/beverages .

This Hotel is across the road from the Sapa Express bus terminus which was useful for us at the time. It is about two or three blocks back from the Hoan Kiem Lake. Reasonable rates and the staff were helpful (even suggested the cheapest way of extending our stay). Would stay there again if needed to be in that part of Hanoi.

Great staff and service. The hotel is centrally located in the Old District near a pretty lake. There's a passable restaurant on the top floor with a very small outdoor balcony and the view from there is really pretty. These are the positives. On the downside, there was a terrible double bed that was really just two uneven single beds pushed together. The real deal breaker, though, was the fact that my room REEKED of ammonia. I think they tried to bleach out some mold from the closet or something. Anyway, it was overwhelming. Every time I re-entered the room, it was like walking into a gas chamber. Since the front desk said they had no other rooms and I was exhausted, I just opened every window, turned on all the fans, and tried to keep myself distracted. Needless to say, I spent as little time in the room as possible.

Very nice hotel close to the lake

Hitel was great. Staff was very attentive and experienced. I booked an over night boat tour with the front deak and they made it a delightful experience. Room was clean and well equipt. My room was vwry qyiet, but itgers in my party complaned if noise from the street. The breakfast was delicous and varied. Will stay agin on my next trip.

Awesome hotel, just outside the noisy old quarter.

Hotel wise, I cant find any faults. Staff were friendly, room condition was great.

What I really like was, it was close to the old quarter, but not too close, as it tends to be too noisy to sleep at night.

No shortage of great and cheap eating places, which was my kryptonite.

There is even a roof top restaurant with a good view of the lake and city. You need to get a beer at least once there and enjoy the night view.

My only complaint was that the gym could be a bit better, but thats just me.

Will be back!

Hardest bed in Hanoi

The hotel had fantastic service. It was also in a great location walking distance to many places. The room itself was ok my only problem was the bed. It felt as if I was sleeping on a box spring not a mattress. It was rock hard- the only padding was the comforter on top which did not add much comfort. The rest of my stay was nice but I only spend time in my room for sleeping and since the bed was not comfortable it ruined my stay.

Reasonable hotel in a good location.

Used this hotel for an overnight stop before and after a boat trip to Halong Bay. The hotel was ideal as it was an easy walk (ignoring the death defying process of crossing the roads in Hanoi) to the shops and restaurants overlooking a scenic lake. Great atmosphere at night. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Good price value

For the price, this is hotel was perfect. You can not compare it with say the Melia or Sofitel, but the room was clean, shower had plenty of hot water, breakfast (included) was quite good and had good variety of foods, and free Wifi worked. I stayed in a \"Deluxe City View\" which is a few bucks more and I think a bit more spacious. The hotel location is great.
I have seen/stayed at two other hotels in the same price range and the Authentic was the better one.

The authentic Hanoi hotel is very nice and it is just in the scene viewing area which has been very convenient for taking a tour around this place.and the servants here has neen very kind of me.i used to ask sewing kit and something else to be delivered and they responded very quickly and kindly.and sure the hotel is clean and allappliances iused are functioning.it has massage and gym center also.the breakfastisalso good.i will come to here next time i visit the city with no doubt.it is worth to be here which is my best recommendation for you when you were here. And the best receptionist i should ask , they are taking their responsibility so seriously.so you could turn to them when you were this place.

Modern hotel in the heart of the old quarter
A very comfortable, clean hotel with excellent, helpful service right bang in the old quarter with lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Just two minutes from the lake and the Water Puppet Theatre, it is ideally situated for exploring Hanoi. Staff helpfully booked me a table in a local restaurant and a taxi to take me there and were very responsive to my needs. Highly recommended.

The hotel location is near to Hoamkiem Lake in a few mini by foot and convenient for access to every tour spots and shopping areas. I stayed at a room in 6th Fl and got a good sleep without borthering from bustling and noisy streets. Front receptionists are very friendly and fluent in English and comply with my request always with smile. The breakfast in buffet are decent worthy for the price. If I list up some claims, the room had no bath tub and with only shower, no laundry room that was completely different from my reservation and picture in the web site. The manage recognize it and express apology. So I could totally accept it and enjoyed my stay.

Ein gutes Hotel.Mitten im Old Quarter.See in 3 minuten .Mitten im Leben.Mein Zimmer war klein mit kleinem Fenster.Bei der Bauweise aber Typisch.Aufzug in alle Etagen.Alles funktioniert wie es soll.Auf dem Dach ein toller Ausblick mit Restaurant.Dort habe ich aber nur mal geguckt.Frühstück ok.Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal.100% Empfehlung!

하노이 구 시가에 있는 대부분 호텔이 그러하듯 주위가 어수선하고 복잡한것 제외하고는 지불한 숙박비만큼의 가치가 있는 호텔임 수건이 좀 오래된것이 거슬렸고 방음이 안됐으나 종업원들은 비교적 친절했고 아칙식사는 먹을만큼 정도임

朝食のピーク時間帯は、込み合っていて席が無くて残念。

좋은 서비스와 위치, 그 외엔 좋지 않았던 기억.

안 좋은 점이 있더라도 피드백이 상당히 빠른 편이라서 다행이었습니다. 개미가 군집을 이뤄서 여기저기 몰려다니길래 말씀드렸더니 바로 제거해주시고 살충제도 금방 뿌려주신 것 같습니다.
이외에도 직원 서비스는 정말 만족스러웠지만 기본적인 부분에서는 일반 호텔들에 비해 조금 부족한 면이 없지않아 있었습니다. 목욕 스파를 즐길 수 있도록 욕조도 있었지만 욕조에 물을 절반도 채우지 못했는데 온수가 바닥나는 점도 그러하고, 조식 퀄리티도 굉장히 좋지 않아 많이 실망했었습니다.
