BE AWARE BEFORE BOOKING, compare hotel with other hotels in the area.

Beside the location that is good, there ard more than 15 hotels in same area. Hotel rate far over priced for the rooms, so many other more maintained hotels for half the price you pay at this hotel. They have sister properties that is more modern but they prices this property at the same par, but this property is run-down.

Room are outdated, and nothing like the photos they promote on booking sites, we had to move rooms… first room so small, could hardly walk around the bed, no closet space, no shelf to pack clothing items, safe literally bold to the floor.

Moved to second room that was a class higher, room was bit bigger, but same as first room, room are old!! Pictures advertised on booking sites were taken years ago. Water leaking out of bathtub leaving the floor flooded every time you take a shower, 2 out of 4 electrical outlets worked, no hot water the first night

Breakfast is below par, all items like bacon, sausages are standing open on plates, “Ice cold” reported this everyday but no change.

Spoke with hotel manager, he was apologetic but same thing next day nothing charged. Very unfortunate that they just could not maintain the property, will surely not return and will not make any recommendations.

During my recent stay at A&Em Hotel, I encountered a series of unfortunate issues that greatly impacted my experience. Upon checking into my room, I was immediately struck by a strong, unpleasant odor that resembled stale cigarette smoke. It was quite off-putting, especially for someone who is sensitive to such smells.

The staff, however, were friendly and accommodating. I approached them about the issue, and they quickly assisted me in moving to a different room, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the new room was no better. It also had a lingering bad odor, and I couldn't shake the feeling that it had not been properly cleaned. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with dust and dirt in various corners, which added to my disappointment.

Despite the staff's best efforts to help, the persistent smell and uncleanliness overshadowed any positives about the hotel. It was a frustrating experience that made my stay far from enjoyable. I had hoped for a more pleasant environment, but unfortunately, that was not the case at A&Em Hotel.

Check in time is super late at 2pm in Vietnam time. The room are not so clean and the room lighting is dim in some area

The toilet mirror and lighting is poor that unable to see yourself in the mirror clearly.
Happen the room I check in fills with ANTS clawing everywhere of the room include the bed.
You need to press for the room services then they will clean up not like others hotel that 100% whether you are in the room they will press the door bells to ask for the cleaning of the room.

I booked a large room on Expedia even sent a picture with my confirmation the hotel showed me a tiny room at an INCREASED cost unbelievable and refused to discuss the matter at the desk. Stay away from this hotel I refused to check in. SCAM hote stay clear

Insist on a room with a window!

The only problem I had was the fact that we had a room with no windows. This made creating a sleep cycle after a long journey through 12 time zones really difficult. Of the 15 days we stayed we only made it to breakfast before 10am on 4 occasions. The Reception and cleaning staff, however, were excellent and helped us many times. They organized airport transfers and advised Us when we BOTH had our phones stolen. he restaurant has free cake and beverages in the afternoon. Conveniently situated for Ben Thanh market and a short walk to most other attractions. The pool is extremely small and is more of a dunking pool than a swimming pool. If we had taken a window room our rating would have been higher.

1) Room is clean & well maintain
2) Staying in a corner suite & alternate room aircon is not working. Staff don't even know why & how to fix it
3) Windows in room do not have handle and not close firmly and thus very noisy from vehicles, night spots music & people talking along the road
4) Breakfast fried food are cold. Staff don't even bother to top up when running out. Running out of cops, cutlery but nobody top up. Staffs are no where to be seen most of them time during breakfast.

I stayed the room is 4/F. The room is clean but the air condition is bad. I have adjusted to 17 degree but the room is still hot. I woke up few times because of the air condition not cold enough. Hotel should check the air conditioner before customers move in.

Attractive and Comfortable rooms

We had a good stay at the A&Em Art Hotel. Front desk staff are excellent and very responsive to questions. The rooms are quite attractive, the bathroom highly functional, and the lobby area is pleasant.
A couple of things need some work— for example, one of our friends was handicapped, and the main entrance stairs were steep and had no handrails of any kind. This would also be difficult for older people, I would imagine.
Several ceiling vents in the public areas drip condensation (water), including directly overhead as customers are trying to check in. They were doing some repairs while we were there recently, so hopefully those water drips will be resolved soon.

This hotel is fine, the air conditioning sucks.(time to change filter was shown , told about and nothing was done about it .. )
The shower is great with a lot of water pressure, but the water goes under the shower door which floods the bathroom. Shower handle was loose , fell because all screws were loose . Comfy bed. Small room. Wifi not that great and the walls are thin. Overalls experience was good but too expensive for what you get.

Very nice,clean,medern room. I stayed in the Executive room and it was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel are also very friendly. Location is good. The only bad thing I can say about the hotel is the breakfast is below average. I would stay at A&Em Art Hotel again next time I go to Ho Chi Minh City.

bathroom are beautiful and well-styled with a hint of Japanese influence
shower was one of the best showers i have used in a long time
and they even have a small roof top bar and pool just want you need after a long day
staff were so nice and willing to help with what ever you need

Great location

We booked 3 nights from Australia so didn’t know what we were in for.
Our room was very small (but that’s what we paid for). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is very very small, deceiving from the photos (plunge pool size).
We booked another night here after coming back from an overnight stay with our Mekong river trip. Very centrally located to the Ben Thanh Markets

Ok for 2 nights - no more!

Booked a twin with a window and was told that no twin rooms have windows - not what the photos show.
Waking everyday without a window is not ideal to stay in. Room with no fresh air/view is very claustrophobic.
Breakfast was difficult due to limited seats and too many people trying to serve themselves - no glasses for juice and staff speak little or no English so didnt understand when we were asking for them to be replaced.
Roof top pool was good. The young lad that worked the bar there was lovely and we were his only customers for the two afternoons we were there.
There is building work currently happening on the roof as they are adding more seating - think that this is a popular evening spot for people to drink.
Door staff very friendly and helped us get cabs when we needed them.
Don’t change money here. We did and were given ripped notes with sellotape on them - no where would accept them - receptionist did change these for us when we asked her to, but felt we shouldn’t have been in that position as were left with a very upset cab driver who refused to take our currency. Change money at the money exchange bureaus that are dotted around the city.
Hotel is well located for the large in and outdoor market (2 min walk). Lots of places to eat and drink with street food at the market being ok. Starbucks is a 2 min walk in the other direction so the area caters for all needs.
There are other large hotel chains locally. This caters for the Chinese market mainly.

Not the best choice for the price

Not the best, for the price there are quite a few other choices.
The location is great, near to Ben Thanh market and other places. But the location is busy so the room can be noisy sometimes.
The staff are mostly nice & supportive. Moderate English, sometimes need to repeat your request to be understood correctly.
If you take the deluxe room the elevator is on the other side. You need to take the stairs to the lift, which could be difficult with luggage.
The rooms are comfy.
My bathroom was leaking between the shower room into the sink area. This is not comfortable after shower as the whole bathroom is wet. Toiletries were not top up when they do housekeeping, but immediately was top up when in formed the front office.
There were mosquitoes in my room, i informed the front office but i am not sure if they could do something. There was still mosquitoes when i came back to the room.
Breakfast is moderate choices.
There was an electricity blackout one of the mornings, not sure how long before it was rectified (as i left to work). But i had to have a cold shower & no coffee as the coffee machine could not work.
The air conditioner in my room was noisy. I complained to the front office and it was fixed. But the sound was back the next day again, which was also repaired upon my complain. The hotel was quick to react.

Overall the staff was supportive. I had some stain on the pillow case, and the hotel was kind to waive the charges due to my long stay.

Fire escapes blocked, toilets blocked.

The room was small but neat. The windows are single glazed, so the noise is constant. The drain was blocked, the shower leaked into the bedroom and the toilet would not flush for the whole of our two night stay. We spoke to reception staff and housekeeping on both days. Neither was fixed although they kept repeating that it has been fixed. The pool was dirty and was still a building site with builders smoking cigarettes and watching guests who chose to sunbathe.
The hotel appears very stylish, but we discovered that the fire alarms are not working, the fire escapes were blocked, the plumbing is the worst we have encountered in Asia, and the staff were, sadly, rude and unhelpful.
I am very disappointed to leave such a review. It is an unfinished hotel but they are charging full price for terrible service.

1) There are still some minor knocking in the day and if you wish to sleep late-sorry. (2) Reception area is small (3) Hotel must try to keep the reception area mosquito free (4) While room is clean and bring it is small compare to the A&Em just opposite (280 Le Than Ton) (3) Bathroom design is bad, there is no shower curtain thus after shower the whole toilet and toilet bowl is wet (4) There is also no blind covering the glass between the shower and wash basin area (shower and wash basin separated. Receptionist and bellboy is friendly. Told them I didn't like the room especially the toilet (yes, hate stepping into a wet toilet) and put up a request for change but both time rejected citing full. I stay in 705

New Hotel with good location in District 1

Walking distance to all the attractions but not in the center of all the hustle and bustle where the noise of the traffic and bars are a disturbance.
The front end reception lady was amazing and she spoke good English! She assisted with our travel arrangements (printing off future travel documents, arranging our airport tranfers for our next location and also booked our tours while we were in Saigon.) A big shout out to \"Thanh Teang Afom\" she was awesome!
We were not happy with our original room (it was small, had a foul smell and had no window). The hotel was accommodating and upgraded our room the next day. (we did pay the difference for the upgrade).The new room was nice, clean and with large comfy bed.
The breakfast was ok, the food was not always warm and I \"THINK\" you can order eggs, omelets etc. but they did not have a menu available and the service was not offered to us. The self serve coffee machine that had cappuccino, lattes and mocha was a nice touch.
They did have snacks out in the late afternoon which you can have tea, coffee and a sweet pastry this was also a nice touch.
The roof top patio was nice but still in development stage. The bar was not operational and the pool is very small (only a splash pool - it looks bigger in the hotel advertisement pictures.)
Would we stay at this hotel again? I would say yes if the price was right.

Staff and location great! Room was compact but bed was very comfortable! There was a damp smell in the room, shower took awhile to adjust so wasnt burning hot! Breakfast and afternoon tea was nice but the whole area was covered in mosquitos and flies....my wife reacts badly to bites so meant we couldn't relax while eating! Pool area is nice but didn't get a chance to use the pool.

Hotellet var lidt af en skuffelse for en 4 stjerne, Der var ikke varm vand, Der var meget støj om natten, vi hørte noget som lyd som en motorsav kl.01.00 om natten. Vinduer lukkede ikke tæt som gave meget traffikstøj. Morgenmaden var noget gammel brød og smelte ost, kaffemaskine virkede ikke i flere dagen.
