Disappointed

The location of hotel is excellent but thats all i can say.its old n not well maintained. Has creaking fpoor n funritures and clenalimess is terroble. Staff are untrained and mostly useless or clueless . Manager never around and they are all busy running the shop in tbe hotel. Its just a shop w few rooms on top. Not recommended.

Value for money with a friendly staff.

It's a comfortable stay for us in a Superior room with Queen-sized bed. The location is very convenient with many cafes, shops and street art near the hotel.

Great service and location

The location of the hotel is excellent - just on Armenian street, with the wall drawing of the famous “sister and brother on the bike”. The hotel free upgraded the room on the next night with a much bigger room for the family. Will consider staying next time :)

As all the rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, it is not for guests with mobility issues. We were given room 105 which has no TV reception! In the heart of Georgetown, which is great!

Although the room was fine, the hotel had a negative vibe. For example, the room had a kettle but no water, no coffee. In the lobby, they once had basic items (e.g. drinks) for sale but no longer. You pay extra (I think) for being near the murals which are in my opinion, not a big deal.

Simple Classic Hotel In The Heart of City

Nice hotel to stay. However, they don't have lift so those with heavy luggage take note. Located at the Penang's most famous mural - the Armenian Street. The Armenian Street Fair is on every Saturday evening - all cars have to vacated the area during the fair which is till 10.30pm.

In the heart of Armenian

I enjoyed my stay here mainly because of it's location and comfort that came at an affordable price for solo/budget travellers. The wifi in the female dorm was down for the three days that I was there. They did however make attempts to get it fixed but was only rectified on day 3. Other minor things that I thought could be improved on were having stronger hooks for towels in the bathroom (some were broken), mirrors in the dorm or in the bathroom of the second floor (there was none) and a towel rail in the capsule itself just so people could dry their towels. Also, the water pressure was exceptionally low throughout the day specifically in the shower. Other than these minor remarks, I had a really good night rest at the end of each day and was pleased by the level of cleanliness. I would definitely come back again.

Excellent location!

It is located right at the street art area and close to the Clan Jetty, so the bus terminal as well. The room is clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was a right choice and I was happy during my stay at George Town.

Overall nice hotel

Nice hotel for short trip, toilet door*'s lock is not working , shower head is leaking. But still fine for us. Outside water dispenser no hot water. My girl love the king size bed n the toilet. Will stay again in future.

Misleading site but ok stay

We had a nice stay at Armenian Suite, but only after we argued with the management because they tried to put us in a box. The photos show the Armenian Suite, but if you're not very careful about your booking they will try to put you in a Hong Kong-style capsule hotel across the street. Be mindful of what you're actually booking.

OK for short trip.

Overall is clean and comfort. Good location where is easy to move around. Famous mural paintings just steps away. A lot of good food and hipster cafes are around too.

I stayed at the room with balcony. The stay is okie. Good enough for short trip staying. Try to avoid staying at this room. It capture heat during afternoon. Air-condition is weak. Wifi is not strong. Praying alarm is quite annoying because it just too close to the mosque.

Excellent hotel to stay in the mid of Amernian St

Excellent hotel condition- very new and updated look. Night inn-keeper was very friendly and we had an excellent time in penang because of all the clear and precise good foodie location he gave us. Room had a very well-controlled air-con, very good selection of cable channels and nice comfy solid beds with very cosy thick blankets, nice strong ventilation in the bathroom as well. The area around the hotel is excellent. Bicycle rent is right opp the hotel, they close at 5pm though.. Convience store to the left, two junctions away abt 15mins walk.. Hawker food to the right 20mins walk with a very good selection of breakfast and local street food. 30mins walk to the right will bring you to Chew Jetty and there is a free \"CAT\" penang bus service bus-stop at Armenian Hotel (another hotel), where the convience store is located which is a loop service and can bring you around important locations in Penang. EXCELLENT.

Lovely boutique style hotel

I picked this hotel as it had a 4 poster bed in the picture and I was not disappointed. the room was beautifully decorated with a comfy double bed, en suite and balcony on the roof of the building. The location was quite close to the main walking street and wet market and it was easy to get around. also very close to the free city bus stop which takes you around the city centre and a short walk to the big shoppi g mall. staff were very helpful with providing information about the area. a very lovely modern hotel.

Quirky side of town!

Lovely hotel, excellent location. Right in the midst of the street art trail. My favourite street in George Town. Rooms are spacious and clean. The four poster bed is a lovely touch. Very well kept. Well worth the stay.

Great cozy little place

We spent two nights here. The rooms are a little small for a couple, but they are clean and well equipped. Armenian Street is very narrow and is difficult to park in, but the stay was worth the affordable price.

Two night stop over - Late October 2014

We are a mature couple (60+) Stayed at the Armenian Suite for two nights. Comments would be that the host was both welcoming and attentive,assisted us with directions and local knowledge.
Ideally situated in back street of Georgetown and walking distance of main attractions. Close to free shuttle bus and shopping complexes.
Room was ideal for a short stopover. Excellent rain head shower facility.
Not the accommodation base if you are looking for peace and tranquility. A cafe downstairs,used as a family home,and and the building design all contribute to a noisy environment especially at night.
Other advice would be to obtain details as to exact location of the \"Suite\" as we found on arrival at night that there are several other accommodation places nearby with very similar names all starting with \"Armenian\".
Otherwise a very enjoyable experience and good value for money.

Great Location!! Outstanding Service!!

Very good experience with this hotel. I just stay at this hotel for overnight after my Langkawi trip and next day catch the morning flight. The keeper waited for us to check in until 9pm, very friendly and gave us the best view room. Room was small but very clean!! We went out for food at 10pm and we brought the wrong room card with us and end up we were locked outside, called the keeper and they drove all the way back and passed me the card. Location right next to those wall arts, and food are everywhere even in the late night. They even helped me to book the taxi next day at 5:30am, Had a good sleep that night and thank you for everything.

Great location but lack of parking

The pros: 1) I love the location. It's nearby to all the popular hawker stalls like Chulia Street, Kimberley Street, Nasi Kandar Beratur, etc... 2) The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is spacious 3) Owner is very friendly. Now the cons: 1) Bed and pillow isn't that comfortable 2) Need to install racks for guest to put toiletries near the sink and shower area 3) Need to remind the hotel to do clean up the room and replenish the water and other supplies 4) Lack of parking during day time

Great location in historic georgetown

A great place to stay for three or four nights. Far more to see than Malacca. Wonderful food in little India. Great vibe in china town. Use the free sightseeing bus every twenty minutes from the jetty area. Hotel staff excellent. Room a little noisy due to open shutters above the coffee bar servery. Very comfortable stay. Wifi was very good. Plenty of local cafe for breakfast. The local clan temple had a wonderful festival whilst we were there complete with drums dragons and firecrackers. Loved the wall art in Georgetown

What a wonderful find! Claire and Eugene who run the place couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Great breakfast choice. Comfy beds and great showers. Aircon and tv function perfectly. Location is very central. Walking distance to great street art, temples, bike hire. Definetly would stay again.

Jeg synes det er viktig når det legges ut bilder at vi ser gaten hvor hotellet ligger. Goerge town var dårlig område. Bedre å bestille et annet rom som er utenfor George town. Det verste var at rommet var full av maur. Kofferten vår ble fullt av maur
