Hotels is great, however it could do with sound proofing from the Call for prayers just up the road, unless you want be woken at first light each morning.

The property is completely on autopilot. More of a hostel than a hotel. I stayed for 10 days and never saw anyone cleaning anything including my room. I moved hotels today and found a much better option for less money within walking distance.

Awful stay

On arrival, could not locate the reception area or person in charge, was informed I had booked a room with no window, which is not confirmed within the booking, no toilet roll, no coffee or tea making facilities as was informed that the machine is broken, it was in a terrible state the rooms are outdated and not fit for disabled people at all, tight confined toilet with shower above so unhygienic 🙁

Great but needs some work

A lovely place and excellent location. Good staff and helpful. Place had lots of character and will appeal to those seeking something a bit different. Our room however was poor. Broken shower door, broken toilet seat, shower drain gurgling all night, very uncomfortable mattress. Toilet actually inside shower so everything gets wet including toilet paper. General upkeep and things like extra towels (unless asked) or toiletries (the usual hotel things) were not available. It overall I loved this place. It’s cool and historic and once they fix the infrastructure then it’ll be great. Thanks :)

Too expensive for aged, poorly maintained product

No one was available upon check in. After messaging customer service via whatsapp, it took a follow up message to have someone come check me in.
Upon entry in the room - aircond remote was not working. Came down 4 stories to change the remote.
Later the evening, realized bath towels were not in room, went down again to collect.
At night, the room was so warm and I was told I couldn't get a room change because they're full (didn't appear so because many rooms had their lights off at 9.30pm). The attendant was kind enough to provide a fan after I asked.
In the room, the mattress was thinning, I could feel the springs on my back. Shower head was repaired using tape and some light bulbs were blown. Water kettle had water in it when I arrived.

This property needs a huge clean. The public spaces are dusty and dirty. As well, in six days staying at this place not once did housekeeping come through and clean the room. Room 411 has problems with mould and dust and the shower door is broken and allows limited access. The wifi is dead average. Fawlty Towers

Beautifully decorated. Good location. Got to request for extra items (if needed) before 8 pm. Otherwise, the request will be ignored. We repeatedly asked for towels but was only told that it will not be done until the next morning when we asked the staff at the reception again. Wifi signal was not stable and we could not connect for 2 nights. It's a very small room so take note of the square foot before booking. Lastly, the noise level from the streets was minimal. The walls between rooms are thin so noise from the neighbours can be heard.

Place is amazing... having gym equipment as well... we're so lucky that it's Georgetown Heritage Day so the traffic a bit more pack... a lot of local foods around that area walking distance... great stay... keep it up...

Location: Perfect!!! Near to every main attraction in Penang.
Staff: Average. Could be improve but its ok we barely in the hotel
Room: Sink Pipe and shower not really in a good condition. one of the light is the room is damage

Overall: Suitable for backpack, couples but not family.

Improvement needed in term of cleanliness

Definitely you get what you paid. With RM100+ per night do not expect too much on the condition of room and cleanliness. Found bedbugs when i flip the blanket. It might due to the wooden bedstead and no window. Room space very limited. Suitable for backpacker not for family vacation. Better bring small buggage as you will find there is not space for you to put ur buggage. Wifi is not stable.

Nice for friends to hangouts, not for family.

I think this place is suitable for young couples or friends where you want to try something different. Place is nice to chill out and not staying in the room. I have nothing against this place, but with lousy wifi and no tv in the room, could be rather boring for me at night.
As there is live band at night at level 2, so it is rather noisy until midnight. Not suitable for family. Lastly, I stayed in High Bunk. The steps to the bed is rather tall, not fit for children.

Not worth the hype.

The place is too overpriced for what it is. For the price I paid I could have gotten af nice room in the same area. But rather, I got a small room with no windoes and the place has limited vibe. It has a cafe etc. but it was empty for people. Food was okay. The area around is pretty cool and have many bars and resutrants. Neverthelss, I would not recommend the place if you look for clean and comfort place with good service level. The hotel need to think of their cleaning standard and their service. leve. Even for malaysian standard the place simply just smell too much. Also the wifi do not work.

Beautifully designed space offering food + drinks

This is a beautifully designed space that is in a building that is shared with a bar on the second floor and cafe on the first. The stay was amazing since we had breakfast included every morning and the coffee is stellar! The location is excellent, near some awesome food joints as well. Couldn't have asked for anything more

There are quite a number of eateries and wellknown food places in the area. On the whole, you can opt to eat your breakfast(included for patrons) and dinner at the hotel, the latter which is very affordable and of a good standard.

Hotel- hostel - very small room no windows, no TV, no fridge, no tea/coffee making. Very inflexible for breakfast drinks, we do not drink coffe so had to pay for juice/ tea!! Plus side, clean room, good A/C funky building in great area.

Nice hotel for a few nights

Good value for money. Property has free use of laundry machines and water cooler, which is an added bonus. Small compact room. The low bunk bed design apprears to have more floor space. The high bunk bed design has the bed over the seating area, accessible by steep steps. There is live music on the 2nd floor at night which finishes at midnight and can be heard even on the 4th floor where we stayed.

I had a wonderful stay

This is a great little place. Cheap, small, private lodgings with a good vibe. The rooms are on the third and fourth floors, second is a bar (only used at weekends) ground floor is the bar and restaurant.

The food is good and the music is pretty chill (it's not a club or anything) a bit noisy at the weekends but really not too bad, and that sort of stuff bothers me. The staff are very accommodating.

The only problem I had was the first room I was given reaked of varnish, they all have these rustic handmade beds which are lovely but because hardly any of the rooms have Windows the beds haven't been properly off-gased meaning the first room have me a headache, I changed to a room with a window which was perfect. The other rooms would be fine if they left the doors open for a few days. Or, in future used linseed oil or something less chemically. Like I say, it didn't affect my stay but it certainly could if you got unlucky with rooms, maybe request a window room.

All in all a fantastic experience, Amazing location. Write down their emergency number though because after 11 they kind of lock down the cafe and I had to bang on the doors for a while to get in!!

The counter staffs were very helpful and friendly. The rooms however were very small and not very clean. The walls were also very thin and you could hear people talking and walking in the next room. The wifi was bad. Totally cannot to the wifi at all.

Expensive Unfinish Tiny Room with Good Location

The room is too small for two person, instead also small for just one person yet the price is not really cheap. Seem the hotel is not 100% complete, and the work is halfway done which is not really comfortable. The ground floor bistro and the level 2 is completed, when walk from the ground floor to the room at level 3 or 4 is like a maze. Hopefully they'll get the job done before my next visit. And the furniture wood (table top & bed) is using the pallet wood without polish the surface, so it's easy to get hurt by the wood.

Unique ambiance, comfy and affordable stay

This is our 2nd time to stay at Kim Haus. I fell in love with their theme/design and ambiance. Very cool, inviting and good for chilling. :) The room was clean, equipped with own bathroom and working hot and cold showers. AC works great and the bed was comfy. We had some problems with the wifi in the last few days of our stay but usually it works great. They had a laundry service which was very convenient and free hot and cold drinking water. I loved the places where we can chill, have a drink and play some music under the stars. There's also a restaurant in the first floor and other eating places around the area so food is not an issue. We had some problems with the elevator on our check out day though and it seems the hotel people were a bit busy to help us out with that but otherwise, I love the place. :)

Great place to stay

Kim Haus Loft was brand new when we stayed so everything was beautifully clean.the buildjng is very old and has alot of character. It is in a great area with some unusual little restaurants and bars. Very modern/funky renovation with bare timbers and great character. Stay in a roomtoward the back as the road can be noisy. Bunk up and bunk down means down is at floor level the bunk up is a loft bed both are really comfortable.

Not a pleasant stay.

Kim Haus loft is still under renovation, so my stay was not that pleasant as I expected. TV was not yet available in the room and no 24 hours reception. Smoking is allowed at almost every corner of the hotel. Noise from the washing machine and workers' footsteps can be easily heard especially after midnight.However, the front of office staff i.e Nick is helpful and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate to my request.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado.
Pague para tener una bebida de bienvenida y desayuno.
La bebida de bienvenida la tuve que pedir. Me ofrecieron un agua mineral…
El desayuno te lo imponen. Ni siquiera preguntan si sos vegetariano. Todo estaba frío, cómo si lo hubiesen preparado hace dos horas.
El gimnasio está al aire libre y está muy bien equipado con pesos libres. No tiene máquinas de cardio.
El baño cuando te duchas se moja todo. La habitación que me toco no tenía ventanas
Si buscas un hotel económico y bien ubicado para pasar 2 noches esta bien, sino mejor busca otra cosa.

No me ha parecido lo que las fotografías mostraban, esperaba más de la habitación. En recepción no aparecía la reserva con desayuno, pero el staff muy amablemente vio mi reserva electrónica y me dieron los vales por el desayuno.
