Front desk staff was polite, kind, pleasant and competent. Conveniently located for enjoying parks and downtown. Wish it had an electric outlet and more counter space in the bathroom and no elevated partition that could be easily tripped at the bathroom entrance.

The hotel is very close to the Gymnasium where we had our Aikido Seminar. It was in easy walking distance.

Room was very compact and difficult for my husband who is 6ft height.

Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. They have a nice breakfast buffet. The hotel was generally clean. We had unfortunate experiences with the hot water. It's exceptionally hot and both my husband and I experienced the cold water turning off in the middle of our showers leaving us in an extremely hot shower which was not pleasant. It was only for a couple of seconds and then the cold water kicked in again but you need to watch out for that.

Front desk is well-kempt, but the rooms are not very clean. My bathroom smelled terrible. Rooms also have a weird layout, with the minifridge way up in the front of the room by the door and a huge step up into the bathroom (not atypical for Japan, but this step is uncomfortably large). Easy access to trams and Suizenji Park, but I imagine there are better options.

Hotel location is right by the bus stop ver convenient. It’s a basic business hotel with good price. The complaint that I have is the cigarette smell in the room. I asked yo change the room the second day and was switched to a room with a stand alone AC. The smell condition improved.

A Perfect Place to Stay in Kumamoto.

First of all, you must understand that this is a business hotel and what that means in Japan. So, yes the rooms are small but compared to other business hotels I have stayed at, they are actually a bit larger. Bathrooms are tiny, but this one had a tub whereas the others did not. Green Rich is clean. The staff is ready to assist. Their English may not be great, but when I had trouble figuring out the AC control, one of the staff accompanied me to the room to explain it. That's customer service! Breakfast was fabulous. Well worth the amount charged. Everything was freshly prepared and in large quantities. Is it a \"bacon and eggs\" kind of breakfast? No, but it is an outstanding Japanese one. Location is perfect. The hotel sits across the street from the street car and a bus stop is less than a block away. There is a beautiful park just behind the hotel with walking paths throughout. To \"seal the deal\", the price of the room was very reasonable. Despite what others have said in their reviews, this is a perfect place to stay in Kumamoto City.

Many people say the rooms are tiny, and yes, they are small, but they are not too inconveniently small. I actually quite like the layout.
The location of the hotel is perfect: 15 steps away from a convenient tram station (from which you can easily go to the biggest shopping district in Kumamoto), and a few minutes away from the famous Suizenji park. I could see the park from my room and I really liked it.
I think the price of this hotel is great considering the location of it.

The room was absolutely tiny, we used a triple room. We had to climb over 2 beds to get to the inner most one, and there was no walkway. There was also no proper place to put our luggage, we took turns to open and close our luggage.

There were also no convenience stores nearby.

The hotel is close to suizenji park and there is a tram station right in front. The staff were really helpful and speak english. We forgot a bag in a bus we took and the staff helped us call the bus company and we got our bag back.

Overall good place to stay.

Fairly good compared to the price. Great breakfast meal, worth more than the price. Location is good enough: right in front of the tram station, and 15-min walk from the JR station. Staffs are friendly, and one of them could speak Korean well enough. There’s Suizenjikoen within 5-minute walk, which is a great place to visit.

Wifi環境が全くダメ！！繋がらない、切れる、スタッフに連絡した感じでは以前から同様のクレームがある中、対応せずに放置されている状況と思われた。Wifi完備と書かれているが全く真逆。
16：00過ぎにチャックインしたら、１階はシーツの山でエレベーターも使えない状況でフロントマンも悪びれずの態度。
シャワーカーテンが短すぎて、どんなに気を付けていても浴室は全体が水浸し、湯舟の排水部は茶色の湯垢が大量にこびり付いたままで不潔。

アクセスは電停の直ぐ傍なので最高なだけに、もう少し快適さがあればと思います。

トイレはウォッシュレットが付いてるが、後付けなのか狭い空間での使用中に便座が湯槽側移動するので放尿がトイレ外へ出ないように気を配る必要があった。

男性にはきついかもしれません。
スタッフさんの対応はすごく良かったです。

値段相応

親類の葬儀のため、当日に予約をしました。とにかく安く敷地内に駐車場のあるホテルを条件に検索していたところ、こちらがヒットしました。朝食もあるとのことで即予約。ロケーションもいいのにものすごく安い。期待の中に不安が混じります。
当日は昼過ぎから大雨が降り出しましたが、天気予報を確認しておらず傘はなし。しかし敷地内の駐車場なので傘の購入などはせずにチェックイン。しかし、駐車場は予約がないと利用ができない、とのことで離れたコインパーキングを案内されました。予約の段階では駐車場予約についての告知はなにもありませんでした。こういう場合は普通は先着順なのでは?だからこそ、早めにチェックインしたのですが。ちなみに差額の補償もないとのこと。
傘もなく大雨の中を荷物を抱えてホテルまで歩く。全身びしょ濡れなのにフロントでは労いの言葉もありませんでした。まぁ、格安だから、という言葉で自分を納得させましたが、悲劇は続きます。部屋のテレビはNHKしか映りません（リモコンが電源しかきかない）。照明を消すと真っ暗なので机の電気スタンドをつけようとしてもつかない。フロントに連絡する気ももはやおこりません。仕方なしにカーテンを開けて外の光を取り込みましたが、早朝の車や路面電車の音で目がさめる。予定より2時間も早い起床になりました。浴室はガムテープで補修。廊下の声も筒抜け。唯一の楽しみの朝食はバイキングとの案内でしたがレストランに行ってみると弁当でした。
まぁ、値段相応。勉強になりました。
