Very cool and unique property very convenient to Little Petra. Nice place to stay but what really makes this special are the staff. In particular Breed was extremely kind and helpful throughout our entire stay. The chef here also prepares some of the best local Jordanian/Middle Eastern food you'll ever taste. Great experience that we would repeat.

The hotel is in an amazing location looking the valley and just a 17min drive from Petra’s main entrance. The staff as amazing, very friendly and helpful. Our bubble’s amenities were amazing, the jacuzzi after a long day hiking was amazing. Both the breakfast and dinner included were amazing, and they even gave us lunchboxes for our drive on our last day!

Overpriced hotel and overrated experience

Absolutely awful value-for-money. The rooms are old and badly maintained, with water damaged flooring, wobbly bathroom fixtures and zero working jacuzzi controls. The jacuzzi, though ready when we arrived, had to be 'activated' again on request the next morning. The breakfast was ok but lacked variety and all hot drinks were from a distributor!

The view from the room is beautiful (though a bit obstructed depending on the room you get). I suppose one's experience at the property would have been superb when the hotel was new, but it is now badly in need of renovation.

On a side note, the bubble experience (not just at this hotel) has a catch: the constant noise of the air pumps which maintain the bubble's structure. It was excrutiating for me and hardly had any rest.

Good and not so good.

Like other reviews, I have to say that the hotel has amazing views and is a great experience sleeping under the stars. The food was very good and the service excellent. My husband was ill and they took him tea, soup etc. called him to see if he needed anything. The staff was wonderful
Unfortunately the accommodations could be improved , even with some small fixes. We did have hand or face towels, nor a bath mat for the shower. The robes appeared old and did not have belts making them difficult to wear. Generally the room construction and finishing was shoddy and could be improved. Minor fixes would change a good experience to a wonderful one.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations, really.
First of all, its located in the middle of a desert, so you automatically expect amenities to be lower. I was wrong everytime!

We enjoyed the Bubble room/suite experience, with all regular room amenities, and we liked the private jacuzzi. We felt welcomed in this beautiful site and we were cared for nicely by the manager and the staff (I was sick and they brought tea with honey and ginger free of charge, a nice attention)

The hotel is very unique and picturesque. Hotel check in staff were very welcoming and informative. Dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent with a lot of variety and options. Location was awesome.

Downsides: We were expecting to be able to use the private hot tub in the morning prior to check out, however the water had been drained out (nobody told us this would happen). At the evening shisha/hookah party we were greeted by the staff putting the headwrap/\"Keffiyehs\" on our heads and then upon exiting the event they forced us to pay around $7JOD/$10 USD each for them and would not let us return them. We thought they were putting them on our heads as a gesture and did not realize they would force us to buy them at the end (we had already bought some of these at another tourist site the day before so this was not money well spent).

Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel to others visiting the area.

We loved our stay here! The bubble domes had excellent views of the surrounding area and they were so comfortable. We loved watching the stars from the dome and using the private hot tubs. The hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. I wish we stayed here longer than 1 night!!

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights. Very interesting concept of hotel.However, must be quite expensive in maintenance, e.g. the plastic tends to break and there are many patches (I counted 20 in my bubble), and those patches obstruct the view of the stars at night. I was surprised that the plumbing was working perfectly. The staff was very attentive, polite, accommodating, especially Indian fellow Guri. Unfortunately, there was leak coming from AC on my head and the bed pillows. It happened twice until Senegal fellow fixed it. 2nd unfortunate: they don't serve alcohol, I guess for a drunk guest coming back to the bubble might be too complicated: close the 1st door before opening the 2nd one.

The best people and stay! From Mr Khalid to Sara to Zerar to Sha'aban and Guri, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. The bubble felt cold in some places but it was a particularly cold night so there is nothing that could have been done about that. Our overall stay was fantastic, food was very good too and the khaimah with tea and shish was perfect! The kids loveddd having the jacuzzi experience ; it was super hot and just what we needed to warm up on a cold frosty night..
Anwar did our jeep tour in Wadi rum and he was recommended and booked by Sara; what an amazing man he is; so hospitable and kind! Took us on an incredible tour of the desert and also gave us complimentary lunch.. Overall a 10/10 stay! highly recommend it with younger kids as well as teens as we have both.. Thank you Petra Bubble Luxotel for making our stay so memorable :)

We were in our bubble in a fierce rainstorm. It felt safe and adventurous. Staff was very helpful and helped arrange private tours away from the tourist hordes. Ayoub Awamreh was the evening manager and helped us tremendously. Ask for him. Made the stay great.

A nice concept, but . . .

The concept is good, and we were able to see the stars and the moon through the clear plastic dome of our room. Unfortunately, there was a very, very strong wind both nights of our stay. As a result, it was very noisy, making it difficult to sleep. Moreover, the wind was so strong that the \"walls\" kept blowing inwards. We changed rooms for the second night, but the second room was only somewhat better. Of course, the hotel management had no control over the weather.
On the other hand, the hotel management could control the food (dinner and breakfast), which we thought was o.k. but not great.

The bubble style accommodation with the spa was amazing and the most incredible view
What was a disappointment was the buffet food for dinner, they just need to add some grilled kebabs or something

Also they should mention you can’t buy wine/beer however you can bring your own
The hotel needs to highlight this in their description as there is nowhere to buy wine close by.
The girls who work as waiters were fantastic. They are on working visas from Phillipines and are so sweet

Amazing experience

Overall we had an amazing stay at this venue. The private jacuzzi is a perfect setting for a romantic afternoon finished off by sunset over the hills.
The staff were extremely friendly and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. the evening entertainment in the Bedouin tent was a nice touch and the staff also made me a cake for my birthday and gave me a bouquet of flowers to give to my partner.
Our only comments would be that part of the floor in the interior of the bubbles needs a revamp and the bubbles are also very loud at night if it’s windy. We had very high desert winds that night and it was quite hard to sleep.

Great Views but Needs Improvement

First and foremost, amazing staff- they were very friendly and helpful. However, the bubble was quite old and damaged. There were nails on the patio and when given feedback to the manager, he did not bother to fix it. Shuttle to Petra in the morning was late for 0.5 hour which is terrible since we wanted to get to Petra before the crowd came.

Dinner was fantastic but breakfast was definitely not up to standard. I expect coffee not from a machine but from a barista in a hotel like this.

Good experience but would not go there again. The acoustics in the bubble was not pleasant. The dinner and breakfast was really good, very tasty with plenty of options. The location is about 20mins from Petra and there is a shuttle bus which was good.

A good stay. A great idea. A long way to go.

The idea of a unique overnight is there but there’s a long way to go. The furniture looks like the cheapest you can buy and is already looking well used...in our bubble at least. Our shower head was broken, promptly replaced but had started to show signs of breaking again...it appears very inexpensive. Our hot water stopped working but was promptly fixed. Our hot tub did not heat up past 26 degrees. Not exactly inviting during the cold desert nights. The water in it was far from clean.

I can live with these issues but for the price being paid you should t have to.

Something completely different!

Over night family stay, fantastic location and views,easy reach of both Petra and Little Petra.Staff friendly and attentive. Arrive early to get the most from the hot tub and lounge area as can get windy. Food -buffet diner and breakfast included, good range of choice. Good rooms, shower area in need of some attention.
Bedouin tent great way to finish evening, oud( Arabic lute), Mint tea and sheesha.

When you first arrive at the Bubble you are just mesmerised by the beauty of the setting and about how unusual the whole experience is. The staff are so incredibly kind, especially the ones working at the restaurant. They always welcome you with such warmth + enthusiasm. However, it’d be dishonest not to mention some of the issues. The website advertises it as a luxurious experience, but this is not an accurate description. It’s more like luxurious camping. The hotel is already showing signs of wear and tear, and the walls looked quite grubby and stained as well as the sealant around shower. Loads of limescale in the jacuzzi that needs scrubbing. They have all those douches at the back of the shower but they don’t work. Maintenance is aware of it, but I suspect they don’t want to go through the hassle of either fixing it or removing it. They have a very powerful machine that heats up or cools down the room super quickly. However, there are some areas near the floor where huge amounts of cold air come through all day long and at night it can be very unpleasant to walk bare feet because the floor is so cold. There’s also an issue with the quality of the food served for breakfast and dinner, but especially breakfast. Far from the standards expected of a luxurious accommodation, and because of the isolated setting you can’t really eat anywhere else unless you hired a car. Despite some of those issues, I still feel like I had an amazing time and would definitely return if I could.

Great concept fantastic view day or night , the bubble rooms are clean and well equipped but need some attention. Number one is the shower , but manager tells me that is all being replaced. Jacuzzi is a nice touch , the food is included which was good . It is about twenty minutes from Petra , they have a shuttle but taxi availablefor 10-12jd - remember to haggle. Two nights is more than enough to cover Petra and Wadi Rum from here. Also note no alcohol served

The views are stunning. We enjoyed staying in the bubbles, it felt like fancy camping. Room temperature was not a problem. The shower temperature was good but not always consistent (sometimes hot or cold). The hot tub was not super hot or clean. The staff- especially the servers in the dining area were fantastic. Food was ok-lots of options. My biggest complaint was the experience was very overpriced.

It was freezing at the hotel. We arrived and had a light lunch while it was freezing in the lunch area. We went to our room and the heater wasn't working and didn't work until late night. Basically we (wife, 10-year old daughter and I) slept with our clothes on. Next morning we also froze during breakfast. Food was awful, I can't believe we ate such bad quality food in Jordan. We ate in many other places during our week stay, this was the only place where food was that bad. Don't go to this hotel, use your money in a better way.

We arrived yesterday late at night after a long day at Wadi Rum. The reception desk was extremely helpful, loading our bags and preparing our room quickly and efficiently. However, after that, it all went downhill. NEVER stay in bubble 112 as the bathroom has been flooding and the floorboards are raised. We tried to take a shower and within 3 minutes, the entire bathroom (it's not a large space) was flooded, along with the toilet area and the sink area. We had to place towels to try and contain the water. Additionally we came to experience the hot tub while watching the desert sunset but our hot tub had minimal water along with a filter error and would not turn on. We brought this up to the front desk and they said the \"manager\" Mohammad would come talk to us. After dinner, we spoke with him and he said he already talked to the owner and they offered a full refund however due to booking with a 3rd party (we booked via Hotels.com), that they can't do that. So instead, we were given a dessert fruit tray and 1/7 of our money back as compensation. Our bathroom flooded again today. The \"manager\" (he said he's not the manager, he's merely the messenger for the owner) came by with 2 other people an hour later to inspect the bathroom and flooding. The owner was called at that time also to inform him firsthand of the situation and he said \"there's nothing he can do.” I had the “manager” review this post and he said he wouldn't want his family living in this condition either.

The view was incredible, including enjoying the sky and scenery from inside the bubble. The food was also fantastic. We were really impressed by the quality of the food - very fresh, great flavors and variety. Far above average for Jordan. We also really liked the Bedouin robes for warmth. The jacuzzi was disappointing. The first night it was cold, and it took a long time to get the staff to come and fix it, and in the end it was still not warm enough to enjoy. The second day it got to 35 degrees celsius, which we found was still not as warm as we needed. Also, the first night the shower in the bubble was very warm, which was great! But the second day it was barely warm.

This was an incredibly unique place to spend a night. It’s surreal; the location, the bubbles, hot tub on the deck and the beds were cozy. Easy climate controls for your temperature in the bubble and dining was lovely at the main bubble. Sheana was our dinner and breakfast hostess and she was so lovely. Full moon and sunset over the ridge were spectacular. We wish we had stayed two nights. Do not stay anywhere else, you’ll have an experience like none anywhere.

It’s a unique property, it’s not everyday that one has the chance to live in a bubble. I love the concept , but staying in a small and close quarters for a claustrophobic like me, it’s a bit of a challenge. What I like about this place is the warm welcome from the msnager of the facility ( Feb 8-9 ). He was very attentive and very helpful in every way. The room service by Casif , was impeccable. The food ( maqluba ) was divine ! so are the side dishes of humus, Urugula , tahini, and Arabic salad. I highly recommend to anyone who comes to this place to try this maqluba dish . It is to die for ! The best in Amman ! I had tried this dish in other parts of Amman, but nothing comes close. Staying in this bubble suite , will be a new experience for anyone.

You get a beautiful panoramic view of Petra from within your bubble at this property.
Being 25mins away from Wadi Musa and mid way up the hill adds to the serene and tranquil atmosphere.
Good reception by Mr. Ayoub and team.
Chef Nabil made the experience even better by adding to our taste buds some delicious Bedouin food.
We had a good time of music and dancing the Bedouin style after food.

Der Ausblick vom Zimmer ist sehr schön und auch das Erlebnis in einer Bubble zu übernachten. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war sehr gut. Leider waren die Zimmer sehr abgewohnt und auch die Anlage nicht sehr gepflegt. Der Speisesaal war sehr nüchtern eingerichtet und man wollte sich dort nicht lange aufhalten. Alles wirkte sehr lieblos und nur auf Kommerz ausgerichtet.

Da dove cominciare? Forse dall'accoglienza. Ci presentiamo in hotel chiedendo di una guida esperta che ci potesse accompagnare a Petra. Inspiegabilmente finiamo a fare un trekking di un'ora e mezzo scarsa senza neanche addentrarci nel sito archeologico e senza ricevere alcun tipo di spiegazione storica su nessuna delle opere che compongono il sito archeologico. L'unico servizio è stato lo shooting fotografico non richiesto e a dir poco imbarazzante. Il tutto per €80. In più una volta fatto presento in hotel il nostro disappunto non ci è stato chiesto nulla a riguardo. Da dimenticare l'evento di capodanno perchè inesistente. Colazione e cena a dir poco insufficienti e di scarsa qualitá. La camera disponde di due climatizzatori per l'aria calda ma basta spostarsi al di fuori del loro raggio di azione per congelarsi. Questo perchè all'interno della bolla ci sono delle apertura per il ricircolo che spingono all'interno un'aria a dir poco gelida. Non esiste privacy perchè non ci sono tende. Unica nota positiva è il cielo stellato sopra la bolla da ammirare tutta la notte.

A experiência no geral vale a pena, a vista da jacuzzi, o ceu estrelado e a bolha em si, foram muito legais. Agora existem alguns pontos que vale a pena saber antes de ir: eles não vendem bebidas alcoólicas e as refeições se limitam ao lugar, valendo assim optar por cafe e meia pensão. Outro ponto é o banheiro, a vedação não existe, vazando assim qualquer som ou cheiro, um ponto que achei bem baixo na estadia, principalmente se você esta numa viagem mais romântica. No geral uma noite para curtir esta bom e vale a pena.
