Great hotel with perfect location steps away from the Petra visitors center. Clean, good bed, fridge, balcony, Complimentary beverages. My room was on the 7th floor, and the elevator worked great. Loved the staff, especially the young woman at the front desk, she was helpful and delightful. They also held my bags, and I felt very safe as a solo woman traveler.

Reasons for 3 stars- The first reason is the shower. Shower is small, a step in, very slick tub. The biggest issue with the whole stay was that the water temperature control for output is broken. When taking a shower the water would be scalding hot, and 4 seconds later be ice cold. I had to count and move to not be burned, every 4 seconds. I tried to take a bath but the stopper would not work.

Second reason is Breakfast, it was bare minimum, and 2 of the 4 days I went they ran out of food, and didn't replenish anything. I was one of around 15 people who were only able to eat a piece of toast and have coffee.

The hotel location was great and within a short walking distance to Petra entrance. With many restaurants around. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Staff at front desk and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Had a tire that started losing pressure, the front desk manager checked us in quickly and find a assistant to take us to a nearby mechanics shop to fix the problem caused by a sharp nail quickly 👍The location of the hotel is just perfect, 5 minutes walk to the front gate of Petra, with plenty of restaurants nearby!

We had a great one night stay. The checkin was easy. All the staff (front desk, concierge, restaurant) were so friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English. Free, safe parking for our rental car. Dinner and breakfast were great, good options, great service, option to eat in the cave section which was cool. Our room was simple but comfortable. Note that they turn off the AC in November. It was warm when we got back to our room in the afternoon but if you open the windows it did cool down pretty fast and we slept comfortably. Edom is a 3 minute walk from the entrance to Petra. We were able to buy our Petra by night tickets at the front desk. We did Petra by day after we checked out and the hotel offers free, safe luggage storage which was a great service. Highly recommend Edom. Great, affordable option!

We really enjoyed our stay at Edom Hotel. It is very conveniently located by the entrance to Petra so you can walk there in 5 minutes. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby and we really appreciated the takeaway breakfast which meant we could get to Petra for it opening.

The hotel was very clean and well appointed with friendly staff.

The Edom Hotel is the absolute perfect choice for any Petra visit! Its superb location means you're just a short walking distance from the entrance to the ancient city, maximizing your sightseeing time. Beyond convenience, the hotel offers beautiful views of the rugged Jordanian landscape, making every sunset special.

Our stay was exceptionally comfortable, thanks to the good rooms—clean, spacious, and perfect for resting. Post-hike recovery is mandatory, and the lovely outdoor swimming pool is a welcome, refreshing sight after a long day of exploring.

The real showstopper is the unique original cave breakfast. Dining inside a genuine, ancient cave environment is a truly unforgettable way to start your day. The food is excellent, but the service is what elevates it. We must give a massive shout-out to Emad, the breakfast manager. He embodies genuine hospitality; he goes all out in service, ensuring every guest is looked after well. Emad’s personalized attention and genuine care made the dining experience feel incredibly special.

For a combination of top location, great amenities, a unique experience, and five-star service (especially from Emad!), the Edom Hotel is unbeatable. Highly recommended!

this hotel was very conveniently placed by the bus stop and the visitor center, so it was easy to walk. We had dinner at my mom‘s recipe, which was very close by. the staff was able to arrange a bus directly to wadi rum for us. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk from the Petra Visitor Center, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated. The room had a few issues: the shower did not have warm/hot water, and the TV didn’t work.

Breakfast was included, but it was disappointing. The orange juice tasted medicinal, and the rest of the food was bland and did not taste fresh.

That said, the staff were truly the highlight of the stay—very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout.

With some renovations and improvements to the food and amenities, this place could be a much better option for travelers.

We had travelled to Cairo, Luxor, and Jerusalem and this was a quick stop. Thank goodness we added another night. This hotel made the whole trip worthwhile. The service of Emad and his staff was beyond wonderful. He made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious with the mixed vegetables and cheese omelette. Great combo. At dinner, the food was a variety of Jordanian dishes which gave you the opportunity of trying their cuisine. Again delicious. The hotel is clean, well located for being steps from Petra Visitor Center. The A/C was great. There is so much to praise this hotel. We would definitely and highly recommend Edom hotel. Great place to stay and just relax . Thank you for your hospitality!

The manager and his staff were very hospitable, they went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The dining area had a small cave where we were able to have our meals, the room had all the needed amenities including the free mini bar. The location can’t be beat, literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel to Petra. We had a wonderful stay in Wadi Musa. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making us feel welcomed! Highly recommended!

This hotel is on a short alley off the main tourist street. It is quiet and serves a nice breakfast. If you want other food, there are lots of small restaurants within a 5 minute walk! In terms of the Petra Visitor Center and museum...it's about a 10 minute walk!

At a walking distance to the main gate to Petra, the hotel is located a little off a street with plenty of restaurants. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they can also support your purchase of Petra by night tickets. The only down points the paper thin walls and the breakfast which could be enriched with a few seasonal fruits for example

Lovely area with views of the city and literally a 6 minute walk to the Petra museum and visitor center. Restaurants were in 200 ft of the hotel and overall it was very clean. I have no regrets and would choose them again.

The view from the hotel great. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. However, the condition of the room was not good. Upon check-in, I saw one of the bedsheets was dirty, so had to request to have it changed. The bathroom was in extremely poor condition. The hot water was not working properly, the shower wouldn't drain, the toilet seat was broken. The room and bathroom needs renovations badly!

I had a wonderful time at the Edom hotel. Incredible location, hotel members that are constantly looking out for you, very clean, and excellent money for value. Good Wifi connection and ideal for remote work, whether it was from the rooms or their amazing rooftop restaurant. All I'd recommend is to open the restaurant for lunch!

Best experience!! As a solo female traveler I felt safe and very comfortable.

With off street parking right outside the hotel.
Restaurant and buffet offered.
The room was clean and very well kept.
Besides the amenities and the hotel, what made this place great to me was the staff.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Edom Hotel in Petra where we stayed for 2 nights. The hotel has a great location, right at the heart of Petra, just behind the Movenpick Hotel and close to the entrance to the Petra Visitors Centre and Museum. The hotel has a large free car park for guests located outside the front of the property and accessed via a road from Tourism Street. The room was very modern and comfortable with free fast WIFI. The hotel offers a buffet dinner for $15 JOD. Alcohol is available in the hotel too. The open-air roof-terrace bar has good views over the town. Tickets for the Petra by Night tour are available from Reception and the staff in the hotel are very friendly. Highly recommended!

The staff at the property were very kind, although I was surprised to have been charged for an extra key. The property was clean, with gleaming marble floors in the lobby, which was nice. Some of the furniture in the lobby was a little worn, and the drapes in my room had some large stains on them, but overall I thought this place was an excellent value, given its closeness to the visitor's center.

Very good place to stay close to Petra

Located 2min from Petra visitor center so a very convenient base for the visit. Nearby restaurants are very touristy and expectably overpriced - more options available up in the town, if you're willing to make the hike.
No complaints at all about the property, comfortable, clean and well equipped room. One of the few places where rates don't punish solo travelers that much.
Good breakfast from 6am - plenty of options available.
Receptionists not exactly enthusiastic but eventually helped whenever I needed, so all in all, I was very happy with my stay!

The pictures provided are very misleading as is the description. The rooms are dingy, dated(furniture was chipped, knob came off night stand) , and shoddy construction ( a thin plywood barrier in the the closet separated us from the next room). The room was loud as the door had no seal and large gaps that allowed every sound to enter. One of the perks was free bottled water, but they gave you tiny bottles the first day and that was it. Also did not restock the coffee every day. The rooms tout soaking tubs, but it was a standard bath tub you could not fill up because they disabled the drain plugs. I found out this is a local law due to water shortages, but yet they still advertise it to get bookings. Breakfast was very low quality, but passable. Also check-in was supposed to be at 2pm, but we could not check in until after 2:30. The only plus to this hotel, and I mean the ONLY PLUS, was its location and the staff. It was less than a three minute walk to the ticket entrance to Petra and the staff was generally very helpful. I do not believe this hotel measures up to the quality of Expedia's standards. At the very least they should do something about the false advertising.

I don’t really have any complaints for Econ Hotel and my three night stay was great. It’s literally a two minute walk from Petra’s entrance which is a major plus! It was hotter than fish grease when I was there, so a short walk back to the hotel and blasting AC felt like heaven. I felt safe, room was comfortable, and clean but maybe a little outdated? But no issue at all, it had all I needed. The younger guy at the front desk tried to be as helpful as possible, despite the several crazy tourists that would hound the front desk all at once. Really professional. Room had a tv, AC, fridge. No room service type stuff but they offered free breakfast (buffet style) as well as a dinner buffet for like 10 dinars when I was there. The wait staff in the restaurant were also really kind and helpful. If i every come back to Wadi Musa I won’t hesitant booking with Edom!

It was everything we hoped and expected!

Check in was super simple and when we found the room type was not as pictured we told the staff and they immediately changed us to the room we needed and helped us move our luggage. We found everything totally satisfactory in every way. Service, cleanliness, quiet, temperature of the room, view and it was literally just a minute or two walk to the entrance gate of Petra!

Breakfast was good with a good variety. On the bad side, the elevator was not working causing us to walk up 5 flights of stairs. The Turkish bath was closed and the phones in our rooms did not work. They had to come to our room to let us know someone called and we then had to walk down from the 7th floor to the lobby to get the call when they called back.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days, and it was fantastic. It is located outside the exit of Petra making it a short walk each day for tired legs. Our room was quirky but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent, big, and well worth it. And the best part of our stay was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, especially Ziena who made us feel like we were welcomed to a new home. If we go to Petra again, we will definitely stay here.

Cons: 1) Room had bad WiFi signal and in spite of complaining hotel did not do anything for a whole day to address the issue 2) Rude personnel in restaurant (could not get a glass of water after coming back from Petra without being asked 10 questions) 3) Room/bathroom could be much cleaner 4) Air condition not working properly 5) Bottled water not provided in room even though hotel listing states that it would be provided.

Terrible hotel with terrible management

The hotel is in dire need of renovations. Mold in the bathrooms, dirt and grime everywhere! They tried to charge us 20 JOD more than what the booking rate was and acted as if they were doing us a favour by charging us what the booking rate was (when I showed them my reservation). Booked a triple room with 3 single beds and was given a room with 2 single beds and a makeshift day bed that was lopsided. Most uncomfortable stay in a hotel I have ever had. I should have asked for a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Crummy but good location, WiFi and nice staff

The staff tries to find work around but except for,location near Petra ruins and great WiFi the hotel is. Not good. Uncomfortable beds, minuscule stream in shower, old furniture, terrible dinner. Ibut good breakfast. Hotel is. being renovated so view from balcony is pool full of construction materials and outside terrace is closed so. No place to sit outside. Go to nearby Petra Palace, same price and much better.

Great hotel

Spent one night here. Clean room at this hotel. Very close to Petra entrance - 3 minutes walking. Staff is very friendly. Helped me with transportation when public bus was unavailable. Good breakfast and delicious coffee served in the morning.

Perfect Location!!!!

GREAT location!! About 5 minute walk to entrance of Petra! Friendly staff and service. Free breakfast was good with a wide variety of food! This place is all about Location when your here to visit Petra!

Internet and electricity

They can cut off the Internet and electricity whenever they feel like.
The Breakfast was horrible and the restaurant area is full of flies. The cheese, the bread and other food were uncovered. Also the Orange juice is just cool-aid
And they don't give enough napkins.

Great location - Superb Staff - Comfortable Hotel

We chose to stay at the Edom Hotel for their location and price. We definitely weren't disappointed! Their location is awesome - very close to Petra's entrance. Our room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds and a nice shower. Then there were added perks of a nice buffet breakfast with many options for all sorts of tastes and a superb staff - all at a reasonable price. We'd easily stay there again and have recommended the hotel for others thinking about taking a trip to Petra.

NOTE that we didn't use the WiFi (travel with our own internet access) or the TV, so anyone needing those should take that into consideration.

Nice hotel in a very convenient position only 1 minute from restaurants and shops and 5 minutes from the entrance to the historic site of Petra.The reception area is very nice and the room good,a comfortable bed but the bathroom a little dark (especially for shaving).We had a very nice stay.
